AP is most certainly not a step up. I can't wait to see him either get injured or fumble away a big game.

You do need to realize that running backs hardly ever have a long career? They have a short career span than wide receivers. For them to take a lot of hits running ball does wear them down significantly , and that's why it's hard for them to have a long career in the NFL. Peterson's lucky to still have the opportunity to play in the NFL at his age.

He's 32, coming off back to back seasons where he was injured badly. He should have retired a while back with some dignity left in him. Now it's just sad to watch.

To be fair, they would need to find a veteran back, not a young back. They have no time to teach a young back the playbook/system.

AP was good in Min until around 2015, and even a bit before then he showed signs of slowing down a bit.

He should have followed DeMarco Murray and Darren McFadden into retirement, honestly.

RBs are a tough position. Think about it, they are a dime a dozen for one. They are almost always the "Break out rookie" each season.

The position is grueling as hell on them, and by 28-30 they are usually slowing down. And there are no shortage of great young RBs out there to replace them.

The fact he was signed to a big ass contract and missed two of those 3 years for being a fucking idiot and beating his kid, and getting injured, only to come back, suck badly, and get injured again didn't do him any favors.

Peterson was done as a Viking when he fumbled away a playoff game... again; he just didn't know it yet.
