Nobody will be surprised if Gronk gets hurt once more. He's 6'6 269 lbs, there's no way he can play a full season without getting injured, especially what you said about his injuries in college and the injuries he has had in previous years.

I think NE needs to plan future forward with TEs, and I think it's something to be mindful of for a few years now.

He's one injury away from being done, and I honestly thought he might retire or get traded this year.

On the other hand, how about Jason Witten? Insane how long and solid of a career he had with so few injuries. Missed only the one game.

    Great TEs are a commodity.

One of the reasons I usually like ranking players and teams by eras.
I think you're missing my point. It was literally a different league back before the merge.

People get confused because they kept the names in the merger, but it was essentially just XFL and Arena Football merging together to make their own league.

The whole concept of the Super Bowl began when both leagues started coming together to have their best teams play each other and see who had the best team. Before that, them winning championships was basically just that...a conference championship.

So just because it was called the NFL back then, it isn't the same NFL as the one post merge. It could have had any different initials.

Kyle Rudolph used to be injury prone, and now he's a stellar TE. Who knows, maybe Gronk will outgrow his ability to injure himself.

That point wasn't lost on me, but I was trying to establish the point I was making as well.
