    Castle Rock[Hulu] Discussion Thread

So has anyone read this Book Castle Rock? I like the little touches from past Stephen King films and seeing past Actors who were in his films or playing roles from his Novels is a nice touch to have.

    Castle Rock[Hulu] Discussion Thread

It’s not based on a book, it’s an original series featuring characters from the town of Castle Rock that feature heavily in lots of King’s novels.

Currently enjoying a plate of Pulpo Gallego via Tapastalk.

That's wonderful to hear. I would say I haven't read any of his Novels just the films so I look forward to learning more lore when I watch this show.

I'm not sure it's going to directly reference the events of the previous stories. It seems like this is more of an anthology series that just happens to take place in the town that's featured heavily in King's work. I see Scott Glenn is playing Alan Pangborn, a character that's already appeared in several King books/movies (Ed Harris played him in Needful Things, Michael Rooker played him in The Dark Half) so perhaps it will reference previous events that took place in the town. This project has been pretty secretive until now, which makes me happy because I don't want them spoiling whatever original King content is left out there.

I want a date damn you! I've been waiting for this for closing in on a year now, since Marc Bernardin announced he was part of the writing team on Fatman on Batman and I'm ready for it to take over my life for a while.

...also, there was a Dark Half movie? I never knew this

Yeah, Timothy Hutton played Thad Beaumont/George Stark and does a pretty good job. The movie is just so-so (obviously the book is better) but it's worth it for his performance alone.

I'm gonna have to check that out. I loved the book! That and Insomnia, I read around the same time and I think they're both nuts as a bag of squirrels but so much fun.

I cannot describe in enough words how much I loved Castle Rock after finishing Episode 10 a few minutes ago. So many twists, and turns and I thought I knew what was going on, till Episode 9 and then my head exploded. I have many questions, but I might not go into it unless someone saw the Show or know the Book really good to answer them.

Yeah I saw the Trailer the other day I was really hype for Season 2. A brand new story that doesn't have anything to do with Season 1, while giving us that flavor we liked and want to see more of can't wait to enjoy this.
