I have the original because its also free through Blizzard. Its super dated. Its still a great game but....

Better resolutions, better path finding, better graphics. Starcraft 2s engine is way better than Starcraft 1s.

    I have the choice.....

Honestly the team that made the mod did a kick ass job.

Its called Mass Recall. Look it up.

    That was just an example.

I also play Lord of The Rings battle for Middle Earth. Theres a team that made a mod called Edain. They expanded on everything, added new races, more maps, more accurate lore etc etc.

Its great to play games mod free but once thats done...you can add life back into it.

I play this space flight simulator called Freespace 2. The mods added to that game besides graphic overhauls, ported original game are insane. Now we can get StarsWars, Babylon 5, Star Trek, Battlestar Gallitica.

And the mods are free. Its giving new gaming experiences

    Mods =winning

Mods are great, love them. I just think they have no place in debating which is a better game because that's like outside interference or some shit.

I can see that side of it. I find its hard to debate games simply because most people are console players. Therefore they dont get the chance to play pc only games like rts games.

Company of Heros was released in 2006. Its by far the best game from 2006. Its so great it still has an active comunity today.

Id be surprised if anyone even mentions it outside of me( if i participate) because most people either dont play rts games or cant because they were playing ps2 and xbox

Hell, you should see how crazy some of the mods in the Doom community are. Brutal Doom is <3

But honestly, yes the combat was better in Oblivion. The mechanics were sharpened. But that's about it.

    I'd rank it, unmodded,

    Daggerfall > Morrorwind > Arena > Skyrim > Oblivion.

One day to get your lists in. Good turnout so far but could always take another ballot or two.

Unmodded Oblivion is loads better than Skyrim. Skyrim has better gameplay and a levelling up system that doesn't completely melt your brain, but the quests are really mediocre compared to Oblivion. Skyrim has no depth to it.

The arena and fighter's guild are two of my favorite questlines in Oblivion, as pointless as they really are, they're a ton of fun. The Companions or Civil War questlines in Skyrim don't even compare.

Trauma Center was pretty fun for what it was. I wouldn’t even put it in my top 20 Wii games mind you, but it was an alright bottom choice for this list. New Super Mario was fun too but I didn’t play it enough to give it a vote.

Trauma Center WAS pretty fun, and the cutscenes are hilariously over the top. That's a series I wouldn't mind seeing make a comeback.

NSB didn't even cross my mind as a big Mario fan. Pretty unspectacular game if you ignore that it was our first 2D Mario in like 12 years at the time.

I didn't even think about Trauma Center, although the DS games is some of my favorite games on the system.

Here's a pair of sweet sweet updates

    15th
    Black - 20 - Coxatron #4

    Call of Duty 3 - 20 - CD #4

    Elebits - 20 - Fuji #4

    Grandia III - 20 - Lucha Bear #4

    Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six: Vegas - 20 - Natty #4

    _

    14th
    Okami - 30 - Zero #3

    Saints Row - 30 - Jimmy #4, Big Papa #5

Rainbow Six Vegas was a jam but I didn't really get into it until the sequel. Also true of Saints Row, which is one of my all-time favorite series, but I can't muster up a lot affection for the first which hadn't really found its feet yet. Criminally low placement for Okami, kudos to me for motivating Zero to get a list in.
