Joe Doering just debuted at Turning Point as an ally of Eric Young.

Personally, I think that's fucking rad.

Joe grew into a heck of a big man and a fun personality but he looked completely broken down in his last run like 2 years ago. That said a guy overcoming brain cancer to return to wrestling and be very good at it is a pretty incredible story in and of itself if they wanna tell it in depth.

    Indeed it is.

It's not that I rate him as some sort of top worker or anything, but I definitely have an affinity for big redneck hosses, so he'll be a very welcome addition to Impact for me. I think there's some potential for some fun matches between him and some of the better workers in Impact. Your Eddies, Samis, Willies and Cousin Jakes, you know...

Tonight, Rich Swann and Ken Shamrock for the Impact World Title.

Why does this intrigue me more than it should?

Plus, a nod to Anderson and Gallows for their success recently.

Shows how far impact has fallen that there wasn't even a thread for tonights show. I don't have impact+ so I couldn't watch, but it reads like a really good show. And the ending to Moose/Mack seems about perfect for what they wanted to accomplish.

Re: Impact Wrestling General Discussion Thread

The show was honestly very solid. I briefly considered making a thread, or at least a preview post in here but... eh.

Blake Christian benefited the most from this show. Looked solid in the first two rounds, including a hard fought match with Crazzy Steve that showed his resolve, and then had an awesome match with Ace Austin in the finals. Their match felt like pure old school X-Division stuff and I was loving it. Impact are surely gonna be looking to lock him down after tonight.

Jazz vs. Jordynne wasn't anything special really but if it's Jazz's match in Impact (and one of her last overall), it was a solid way for her to go out considering how limited she is anyways.

Main event was really good as well. Mack took an absolutely ridiculous Go 2 Hell bump off the corner, through a table on the floor, and it's a wonder he didn't get knocked out cold. Moose of course got the last laugh, beating Mack until Swann had to give Moose a title shot just to get him to stop the beating, but Mack never said I Quit either so that builds on his common man, never say die character. Willie Mack is becoming the Kevin Owens of Impact, just willing to take whatever kinda brutality they ask of him and make his opponents look great.

Its hard because Impact has this weird thing of PPVs, which I feel you do invest in and get excited for but when it’s former PPV brands just billed as a Impact+, they always feel a bit last minute or like the feuds could do with some extra time to bake. I wouldn’t say they’re awful or anywhere near the level of irrelevance that One Night Only was but I wish that Impact would treat specials in the same way that NXT does rather than these app exclusives.

However I think it’s unfair to say that the quality of Impact has fallen, it may not have the attention of the masses that it once had but I also think you can’t compare it to TNA as they’re not alike anymore.

Was a decent show last night. I was a bit distracted with a fantasy hockey draft but it mostly felt like filler to get through to Hard to Kill.

Don't know if I want to or not, but I don't even know how to order PPV anymore haha

I'd say order it through FITE. Pretty easy and simple, and you get unlimited free replays.

    No clue about cable.
