He was a fucking MVP for Superstars in 2010 or whatever. Those first few years of that show are due for a rewatch.

    Amen.

Watching this past week's Xplosion. Kiyomia vs. Eddie Edwards. Okay lil match, nothing great but nothing bad. Eddie seemed a bit sluggish here. The Petey interview was solid enough. And then the bonus old school match was Beer Money vs. Consequences Creed and the Black Machismo vs. Matt Morgan and Abyss. I was way more excited when I thought Morgan and Abyss weren't part of it.

Re: Impact Wrestling General Discussion Thread

Chris Masters leaving isn't surprising. He's been severely underutilised by TNA. Having him being a lackey/valet to Eli Drake and then not have it go anywhere was terrible. He never gets any mic time, he barely gets any in-ring time. Complete waste. He's a rarity in terms of being a guy with his type of body who can actually wrestle good and he can talk on the mic too.
I'd love to see him back in WWE. Not sure how likely it is given that he has 2 wellness policy violations to his name (which is why they were reluctant to push him during his last run), but he has plenty of assets to offer WWE I feel. Put him on Smackdown and have him run in the mid card as a heel and he'll do a solid job.

I see that EC3 and Lashley have also left TNA.
I fully expect to see EC3 back in WWE, probably in NXT (it'll be interesting to see if he uses the EC3 gimmick). He's built himself to be a very capable all round talent since leaving WWE. It'll be great to see him back.
Not sure where Lashley would fit in today's WWE. With Lesnar still around there's a lot of similarities there. They could do Lashley vs Lesnar perhaps. I could see Lashley in Smackdown's main event scene too. We'll see.

I see that 2 veterans are due back in TNA imminent. One of them will certainly get me watching, providing he gets a live mic.

Damn EC3 too with Lashley leaving the company fuck. It's going to be a very interesting crop of tapings coming after these next few coming for the company. Which means Sydal will probably get the Grand Championship and Moose finally beats Lashley before he leaves. EC3 could easily go to NXT and keep the EC3 name and say he's Dixie's nephew because I imagine Dixie and WWE in charge are cool now especially after we saw her do interviews for the Angle documentary they did months ago. This is why being an Impact Wrestling fan is a tough road to handle. One week you see great things happening in the company, new talent coming in that are actually talented, then they let go of talents who helped them keep them in business ugh.

I'm like 67% sure WWE has some kind of clause where violations expire after so many years or contracts.

Seems like Sienna is having some time off too. Reports have said she was unwell backstage and it turns out she had blood clots in her lungs...nasty stuff but thankfully caught in time.

I think more than anything, it was just that Masters was super green. When he debuted on Raw, he had been wrestling for what...2 years? He was showing glimpses of improvement at the very end prior to being fired in 2007, but his second run absolutely showed how good Masters could be, especially at selling. The ironic thing is that here he was, finally a good worker, but virtually no one knew since he was mostly just wrestling on Superstars. I can remember on a different board, Masters reputation was still shit in his second run solely because those posters still assumed Masters was the same guy from 2005-2007.

I was under the impression that it's the opposite where violations do not expire, even if you left the WWE and returned at a later point. I seem to recall Meltzer talking about it on some Observer Radio ages ago. There is though some sort of clause where if you take a class, you can have a violation removed. That was a new clause created to help justify pushing Randy Orton back into the main event scene a couple of years ago.

Beat me to it Necro good job. I thought last night after watching the Match on Twitch I thought okay this Match is going to be good, but not at as good as their past bouts. I was shocked and I can say their Barbed Wire Match was the best Match of the Show and a top Nominee for Match of the Year in my opinion. It was brutal as hell, and I wouldn't of mind the Match going longer with all the guys bleeding to death.

The Bared Wire Massacre match was pretty good. Some nasty stuff, sure it was painful to take. The crowd loved it though. Shame they couldn't show it on Pop.

Re: Impact Wrestling General Discussion Thread

It was not a top contender for match of the year, but it was a pretty fun match with a lot of sick spots. I wish Impact would work on their production a little more. I know they have small crowds now but they could shoot better. The lack of production quality hurt the overall match imo.

I think 7.99 but they offer a lot of free content too.

This Xplosion was a mess in terms of production. Came out the 20th, but Eddie Edwards referenced upcoming December tour with Moose (who was walking by with Lashley) and the commentary talked about Texano and James Storm maybe having issues even though Storm was booted from Impact like 2-3 weeks ago.
