Very accepting of other cultures. Maybe he's not such a bad guy after all.

Let's behave here, Trump loves black people.

I know for a fact that if Trump had his way, he would just buy a big farm where he'd keep all the black people and let them live out their days in the sun.

Understand what you're saying. I think a better definition would be someone who hates another person solely because of their religion or race. Trump is smart enough to never specify in that fashion.

I don't think I'd describe Trump as a bigot. I believe he's a coward, scared of a global world. Probably because it threatens his power.

More fascinating stuff happening in American politics, as always. Democrat Diane Feinstein has release the transcript of the Fusion GPS dossier. My understanding of this is that the Republicans have refused to release the transcript prior to this, and used the dossier to feed conspiracy theories to discredit the FBI's investigation into Trump. By releasing the full transcript, there's no illusions anymore about it. And it confirms that the Dossier isn't the reason for the FBI investigation, that the FBI were already investigating Trump, and mentioned about lots of ties to money laundering within the GOP.

Fascinating stuff. Can't wait to see the Republicans/Trump's response.

Does that involve the one where you run back and forth in a certain amount of time and it gets faster? The bing test?

Is it not just like an examination to make sure they're not about to drop dead or whatnot.

    No idea.

I remember in High School we had a "Presidential fitness test".

I know they usually have a yearly checkup that is released to the public.

Never heard of them having a fitness test.

Yearly checkup may also include some fitness test.... such as a stress test (to get cardiovascular readings and such).

And I hope he does release release the results. But the way he has been with everything else- like saying he would release his tax returns after his audit..... I won't be be all that surprised if he said the results are none of our bussiness

Re: The Fresh and Civil Politics Thread

I think that this fitness test is actually just part of the standard yearly required checkup.

I'm not a Trump supporter, by any means. I mean, that's pretty obvious.

But to expect him or many men in their 70s to do a full on fitness test, by the way putting it sounds, is a bit silly. Sure, he's obviously not physically fit. He's no Taft, but he's certainly not in the shape of the fit presidents like W, Obama, Reagan, Teddy or Washington.

To his credit, he did play sports in his younger days. Certainly aged like milk, though.

Re: The Fresh and Civil Politics Thread

Let's get away from US politics for a second.

Nigel Farage has today suggested a 2nd brexit referendum. I am struggling to see his motivations here because the win was so narrow before and I can't see us voting to leave a 2nd time.

It's a desperate cry for attention imo. But it will be fascinating to see how the Tories and Labour react to this.
