People fly the rebel flag in Maine all the time, which is kind of silly.

Brats are great. Be it the American tail gate style, or the authentic German style. I loved having them in Munich, sometimes they would have them in hollowed out buns with the top cut off, filled with mayo and such.

Even funnier, my own older brother (the 3rd oldest) has it hanging on his front window for all to see. needless to say, he likes Trump unironically.

How are American's going to afford to buy all this? Wages aren't going to immediately go up and people still have to survive.

This isn't true. Cisco sells their routers worldwide. GM's 2nd sells nearly 500,000 cars a year in China. I really enjoy my Heinz ketchup, and Lucky Charms in the UK (Not together. I'm not a heathen.)

Re: The Civil NA Politics Thread

This cannot work for Trump unless all the other countries cave in, which I can't see them doing.

Even IF in the long term it led to greater American production and America creating jobs for Americans, surely this can only be seen as a long term thing. It isn't something that is going to happen overnight, and it's going to take extraordinary investment too.

What will happen overnight is a loss of business and jobs right across America (and the other countries too). All that will lead to is approval ratings plummeting, elections lost, and a new leader will be brought in who will trade with other countries again. Unless you happen to have a Trump-like president for the next 10 years, who follows this same extra-aggressive isolationist policy, then I can't see how the benefits (if there even would be any, let's not forget) will ever show to the American people.

So I got introduced to NRA TV today.

I was both astonished and half contemplating sending off a CV. I reckon I could make it a week without bursting out laughing and proclaiming that these cunts can't be serious.

So Trump keeps palling up to authoritarian regimes and getting into feuds with allies of democracy.

    Not a good look.

Trump is in Singapore ready to negotiate a nuclear deal with a brutal dictator. After failing to negotiate a trade deal over milk. With Canada. Think about that. Milk - with our friendliest ally -was too hard for him.

To be fair, let's look at Trumps America.

Massive military spending, wanting to spend more than our already 52% of the budget while axing things less than 1% of the budget. We spend more than the next 12 countries combined do, and at the same time blow it frivolously on trying to play world police. Military first, well being of the people second.

    Walling off the border.

Axing trade deals, pushing forced patriotism and wanting to be focused on being entirely self sufficient.

Hell, anyone educated on the matter would see if anything, he's using the Juche model.

He said a certain Canadian PM has a place in hell, yet said he has a great future friendship with Kim Jong Un.

He's buddied up with Duerte, as well. He loves Putin.

Yet can't get along with allies of democracy.

"Allies of Democracy" who want to continue taking advantage of the U.S. in trade and anywhere else they can.

I don't consider them allies. I consider them parasites.

I consider them a threat to our national security and what they are doing borders on a declaration of war in my opinion.

    Just my take on it.

    Sure.

    Canada bad.

    North Korea and Russia good.

Which ones run massive amounts of anti-USA propaganda on a daily basis again?

It wasn't Trump who said theres a special place in heel for Trudeau. It was Navarro.

Seriously this is one of the dumbest things i have ever heard in politics. Who says shit like this lol Over trading.

In a funny turn of events....

recent data shows States that supported Trump the most will be affected most by a trade war with Canada.

This Trump presidency is like watching a train wreck in slow motion.

I find it funny that Trump and his sheep think Canada is a threat to national security. Their economy dwarfs ours.

Dak, why do you always jump to "Declaration of war" over everything?

They are after the guns. It's time for war.

Time to start war with Canada, they are taking advantage of us.

Time to start war here, to start war there.

Yet with countries like Russia and DPRK? Hey guys. Can we hug it out?

    I didn't say I wanted a war.

I said what they are doing to us borders on a declaration of war on their part.

They want to call us an ally and then turn around and cheat us on trade?

That is not something an ally would do.

    Well, that's obvious.

The guy is having issues with negotiations with allies, yet cozies up with despots.

    It's pretty sad.

Trump is a petulant child who was born with a silver spoon in his mouth, and has no idea what he's doing.

Things have changed quite a bit since then.

The only countries I would even worry about facing in battle these days are China or Russia.
