He was amazing in the Wire, one of the funniest characters and his voice was amazing. Without him I don't think the election plot is entertaining. Very sad news.

A damn shame. YOLT is probably my favorite Connery Bond flick and The Spy Who Loved Me is arguably the best Moore Bond film. RIP

David Ogden Stiers passed away today...

Now I'm depressed... He was fucking awesome as Charles Winchester on M*A*S*H* and as Michael Reston on Perry Mason...

It's just Alan Alda, Loretta Swit, Jamie Farr, Mike Farrell, and Gary Burghoff left.

A legitimate sporting legend, I don't think I've ever run sub-6 so even sub-5 is mind boggling to me.

    RIP Sir Roger

    Re: 2018 Celebrity Memorial Thread

British comedian Sir Ken Dodd died yesterday aged 90, another one of the great old entertainers gone. When I was about 14 my dad took me to see one of his legendary never ending shows in Wolverhampton and it's still probably the best (and longest) stand up gig I've ever been too.

Due to the almost yearly Ken Dodd tribute programmes on TV, I thought he had died years ago. Crazy.

    RIP

Hawking was one of the smartest, most eloquent people out there. He also never let his disorder destroy his sense of humor or his kind heart. RIP to one of the greatest human beings we may ever know.

Bill Maynard has died 89 after recently breaking his hip in a fall. He was in the Carry On films, In Sickness and in Health and probably most well known for Heartbeat as Claude Greengrass.

Isao Takahata, director of Grave of the Fireflies, Only Yesterday, Pom Poko and other great Japanese animated films has passed away at 82. I’d watch Fireflies in his memory but it’s sad enough on its own. RIP.
