Liverpool/Everton was a decent match after the first half hour. Very, very soft penalty for Liverpool to go ahead. Excellent counter for Everton to equalise and shocking from Pickford as Van Dijk scored the winner.

As or the Man Utd/Derby game...it again shows that Man Utd need someone else who can stick the ball in the net. Pogba and Rashford need to stop shooting for silly distances too, but into round 4 with Liverpool is a start.

Stoke fans will be gutted that they couldn't pull off the upset vs Coventry.

    Also, goals in 2018:
    Harry Kane: 0
    Ayoze Perez: 3

Okay, I'm pissed. Not at the loss. Not at going out of the FA Cup. But at it happening with referring controversy. That wasn't the reason Nottingham Forrest won. But in a match where Wenger couldn't be on the sidelines because of his incessant bitching about ref decisions, the match was again impacted by ref decisions. Mostly right, but that's not going to matter. So instead of focusing on the prototypical defensive mistakes that lead to the goals and penalties, Wenger can claim Arsenal were just "unlucky" because of the refs and nothing ever fucking changes.

Can little Newport please get an away tie at one of the Manchester or Merseyside team please? Heck we'll take a trip to Wembley and play Spurs if need be.

Re: FA Cup 2017/2018 Discussion Thread

I hardly watch Arsenal games anymore and I’m just fed up of how low this club has fallen. It’s been a disastrous season. Wenger needs to go. He's selfish and arrogant. His tactics and lack of signings are costing us. Our squad isn’t good enough. Things aren’t going to change until Wenger leaves. Wenger’s making Arsenal fans suffer. Just can’t wait to see him go. This club is getting worse and worse and next year it’s probably going to be even worse.

The team selection was awful and we paid the price. We underestimated Forest and got what we deserved. Defending the FA Cup and going out to a struggling Championship side with a caretaker manager. We conceded 4 goals against them. It’s just embarrassing. I think this is the first ever a 3rd round FA Cup exit in Wenger’s reign. Arsenal won this competition 3 times out of the last 4 years and Wenger didn’t have a good bench. If it’s going wrong, we could turn to some good players but we had no good back up on the bench. Wenger clearly had one eye on the Carabao cup but we’re going to get humiliated by Chelsea. I don’t see us getting past Chelsea and if we do, there’s no chance of us beating Man City in the final.

I thought last season was our worst but this is looking like our worst season. Not in the CL for the first time in 20 years. We won’t win the Europa League. 23 points behind the leaders Man City. Knocked out in the 3rd round of the FA Cup. Most likely a Semi final exit in the Carabao Cup. Arsenal will miss out on the top 4 and will finish 6th, yet our manager remains untouchable. WENGER OUT!

At this rate, it might be better for Arsenal to not have Europe come next season. As Kintaro said, for all intensive purposes, they don't look like they're getting top 4, so I would honestly rather they not have any kind of European Football and that way they can focus on the league & smaller cup ties. About the only thing I can root for now after watching that game.

While some of the decisions from the referee were poor, and it seems to happen FAR too often in Arsenal games, Forest were clearly the better side. Which is sad to say that Nottingham Forest were better than Arsenal. Totally deserved the win.

Guess it could be worse and we could be Arsenal but was a very underwhelming game against Norwich. Replay it is. Resting all but one of the first team doesn't help and I'd rather be through having risked a few starters rather than have to fit the replay in, especially as we have a double header against Arsenal to come in the League Cup.

Re: FA Cup 2017/2018 Discussion Thread

So a day later, still don't feel much different. Not that fussed at going out, despite the fact that I do really like the FA Cup. We were statistically unlikely to win it a third consecutive time and to be honest, winning it three of the past four seasons didn't really change how I feel about the Wenger regime, so.... Going out this early and in an upset sucks. But never really expected another title so its only so annoying. But what is annoying is Wenger. Terrible squad selection. and he will refuse to be accountable for it, because "after 20 years, he knows how to pick a squad". But picking the two slowest players in the squad to be the central defenders in a 4-defender system... Picking no game changers on the bench..... Picking players who look to be on the outs and who haven't played well in any opportunities this season. He fucked up and he won't acknowledge it, change, or learn from it.

Its so very Arsenal than players who are playing to earn moves somewhere that will actually play them regularly can't manage to give a fuck on the pitch.

I can't be bothered to throw in with the Wenger Out brigade. It just seems.... useless. Nothing is going to change. This club is on a slow but steady gradual decline. The squad is going to be gutted between this January window and next summer, and the owner and manager aren't going to invest heavily to rebuild it to an adequate level. So the decline will continue. Whenever Wenger leaves, he is going to leave the Arsenal playing squad in MUCH worse shape than Ferguson left United. According to a report that came out last week, Arsenal have the great amount of fixed assets of any club in world football, and the second most cash reserves after Manchester United. But whoever takes over Wenger is going to have a massive rebuild job on their hands because at this point, Wenger can't make a transfer. Wenger can't improve a young player anymore. Wenger can't do tactical at all. Wenger can't pick a lineup that makes sense and works well together. Wenger can't coach players to eliminate mistakes. Wenger can't consistently inspire or man management effectively. But hey.... job for life.

Tottenham at home is an awesome draw. Shame it's not at Wembley but surely the two L2 vs top end Prem teams will be tv games?

Some great ties in there, just a shame I was in a depressed mood as soon as Albion got drawn away to Liverpool. Cup run over. My cousins lives up there now and has been trying to get me to go up for an away game, so I might be on for my first ever trip to Anfield.

Don't speak for any other Gooners, but can't say that would bother me much. He's going to get goals. I would be unhappy if he did that against Arsenal, but he's bound to score against us at some point, so....

That was... comical. United were going to be break thru at some point, but man.... sad that it was so ridiculously easy.

Sanchez was the best player on the pitch easily. Was good to see young Gomes get a few more minutes under his belt too. Looks like it's upto Newport to dump out Spurs to keep the L2 giant killings haha.
