What's this geared towards housewives? I think don't even think kids would be interested in this shit.

I think it may be geared towards the 55+ demographic that remember the good old days of the circus and like musical theater. Unfortunately a lot of them are busy with their grandchildren or extended family at this time of year so this one's got tank city written all over it.

A friend of mine who likes musicals saw an early screening of this and she said she thought “getting punched in the pussy for two hours would have been more fun than that movie”.

I can honestly say that I have never had anything I would call a bad blowjob, that wasn't a great experience but up until I started gushing blood I was having a great time!

So when we have to sit through more of these Jackman vanity projects I guess we'll just blame you guys.

Nothing was more satisfying than the look on Hugh Jackmans face when James Franco won The Golden Globe when Jackman thought he had it in the bag.

Although both DC films failed to crack our top 20 last year so we're doing something right at least.

    Re: The Greatest Showman (2017)

I don't think anyone dislikes Hugh Jackman, but more so this Oscar-grab turd of movie. Fuji said it best, this one was a vanity project and when I said that seeing him lose to Franco was satisfying, it was more so because Jackman just knew he was winning it and didn't. Also the Disaster Artist was great.

    Re: The Greatest Showman (2017)

Yeah, I don't have anything against Jackman. I really couldn't care about him. I liked Logan and he's good on talk shows, whatever. But if he actually believed he deserved a Golden Globe for this load of faux-feelgood bollocks over *Googles other nominees* Daniel Kaluuya or James Franco, to the point where he looked visibly annoyed and confused, he should be laughed at.

It continues. It posted a 26% uptake on its previous weekend on its eleventh week in the cinema. Only Avatar has had a stronger showing that far into its release in this country.

FWIW I haven't actually seen it myself, but its success is fascinating to me.
