Re: WWE 2018: Taking the Future by the Horns

WWE & SD Live Tag Team Championships Storyline

The Styles/Nakamura feud started back at the SD Live presented pay per view, Fastlane where Nakamura earned a future opportunity at the WWE Championship in a four way match. At the same event Styles successfully defended his championship, in a handicap match, in the main event.
It was after this match that Nakamura shocked the WWE Universe, by attacking Styles making it clear that he wouldn’t waste time, in coming for the belt.

Nakamura cashed in his earns title shot at the show of shows, WrestleMania 34, which would see the first ever match in WWE between the two. It would see the Phenomenal One (Styles) successfully retain his WWE championship belt, although this proved to only be the first chapter, in the Styles/Nakamura Feud. Nakamura’s stable now going by the name of Gods Of Japan would continue to haunt, the Phenomenal champion leading to yet another confrontation.

Which left Styles laying leading to the second instalment being made official for the Money in the Bank pay per view, inside of a steel cage. The King of Nakamura Style (Nakamura) would walk out of the match with the WWE Championship thanks,to help from Itami & Tozawa, for the first time in his career. As result of his victory Nakamura would become only the second Japanese born WWE Champion in the history of the belt.

On the post-Mitb edition of SD Live, the former champion (Styles) would make it absolutely without any doubt, that he would becashing in rematch at the Payback ppv. Nakamura would only accept the challenge if he (Styles) could beat Itami and Tozawa in the weeks leading, up to the Payback pay per view. The interim general manager of SD Live, Stephanie McMahon would make an appearance and announced that if Styles, accepts Nakamura’s terms, and successfully defeat both Itami & Tozawa then he would be able to name the stipulation for the match.

In the weeks following thisStyles would go up against Tozawa first and then Itami, coming out on top thanks to distractions. That came in the form of the current WWE SD Live Tag Team Champions, Rusev Day (Rusev & Aiden English), as payback for Itami & Tozawa’s attack on Mitb ppv.

Stephanie McMahon would make a second appearance and announce that the main event of the No Mercy, pay per view would be a six man tag team match for Nakamura’s WWE Championship, and Rusev Day’s Tag Team Championships. She (McMahon) would still let Styles name the stipulation, which he would choose elimination rules.

Re: WWE 2018: Taking the Future by the Horns

    WWE SD Live Women’s Championship

The Punk Rock Pioneer aka Ruby Riot won the SD Live Women’s Championship for the first time, in her career back at the Fastlane ppv, after the then champion Charlotte had to vacate it.

She competed in a triple threat at the previously mentioned pay per view, pinning Naomi to gain the championship. Riot would make her next successful defence at WrestleMania 34.

Ina pin/submission only battle royal that involved the entirety of the SD Live Women’s roster, following Mania she would go on a weekly verbal tirade repeatedly talking down the rest of the locker room.

Obviously excluding her Riot Squad stablemates, eventually this would annoy the entire, women’s division taking to the ring and surrounding it.

Before any of them could say anything or enter it, interim general manager of SD Live, Stephanie McMahon would come out onto the stage and cut a promo.

She (McMahon) would tell the collective of female superstars, that they would have the weeks leading up to the Payback ppv, to show why any of them deserve a championship shot.

In the following weeks while everyone was trying to impress McMahon, The Riot Squad would repeatedly confront her(Stephanie) and ask her who she had decided would get the championship opportunity.

Of course McMahon wouldn’t budge and said that she could even choose either of Morgan, or Logan, or who knows about both of them?.

On the gohome edition of SD Live, McMahon take to the microphone in the centre of the ring and cut a promo, regarding the recipient of the title shot.

She went on to say that while everyone in the back had impressed her she, had decided that the person who would be facing Riot at the Payback ppv.

Would be none other than SD Live’s newest female superstar, The Queen of Spades herself, SHAYNA BASZLER.

WWE U.S Championship Storyline & The Yes Movement (Bryan/Owens/Zayn) Storyline

The Glorious One (Roode) had been a fighting champion ever since winning the WWE U.S Championship, back at WrestleMania 34.

Coming off successfully defending his belt at the Mitb pay per view, Roode would talk with interim SD Live GM Stephanie McMahon about his plans, for the belt going forward.

He (Roode) stated that he understood that the WWE Championship, was THE title of the blue brand. However he had the idea of bringing back some, of the former GLORY, of the U.S Championship.

He said he wanted to bring back the U.S Championship Open Challenge starting that night, to which McMahon agreed.

Throughout the weeks leading up to the Payback pay per view, Roode would pick up victories against the likes of Jinder Mahal, Chad Gable, Shelton Benjamin.

On the go home edition of SD Live before Payback, Roode was getting ready to defend his championship against the superstar who, had answered the challenge, Seth Rollins.

When the match was interrupted by The Yes Movement (Bryan, Owens & Zayn), leading to the trio beating down both champion and challenger.

This brought out Roman Reigns who helped clear the ring of Bryan, Owens & Zayn.Stephanie McMahon would come out to the stage and cut a promo, stating that since it was obvious that Bryan/Zayn & Owens wanted to strong arm, their way into the championship picture.

She was going to do the exact opposite she announced that because Roode V Rollins got interrupted, they would have a rematch at Payback.

While Bryan/Zayn & Owens would compete in two separate matches at the PPV, those being Bryan taking on Reigns in a No Holds Barred match , and Zayn & Owens taking on THE USO’S in a Tables match.

She hoped that they learned that you dont mess with the McMahon family
