Spider-Man: Into the Spider Verse (2018)

    Directors: Bob Persichetti, Peter Ramsey
Writers: Brian Michael Bendis (characters), Alex Hirsch (story contributor)
Stars: Liev Schreiber, Mahershala Ali, Shameik Moore
    Release Date: December 14th, 2018

After watching this Trailer I'm really hype to see this film next year. I always been a Spider-Man fan in general and Spider Man 2099 and Scarlett Spider-Man has always been my two favs, but I never read or got into Miles Morales as Spidey. I know he was reference in a way with his Uncle or Cousin in Homecoming, so I really looking forward to where this might go. I think I remember they did a story with multiple Spideys coming together and it might go that route from that ending scene can't wait to see if they do it. The Animation looks great as well, it seems everything is going well with this project and I smell the dough rolling in already.

I loved this Trailer even more versus the first one that came out and damn I like how were getting Adult Petey as Spider-Man. That is really the first time we've seen this, unless you've read the Comics and I can dig it.

Ok. I am fucking in! I was considering a cinema trip for this but now it's definitely happening. Even if I have to go alone, I'm all for it. This looks really good.

This was so good. Watched it twice last night. Easily my favorite Spider-Man movie ever. Soundtrack is amazing too. I hope any spin offs are just as awesomely stylized visually.

Phenomal fucking movie. Style beyond belief and an insane amount of well done Spidey mythos. May well be the best Spider-Man movie ever done and a legitimate top tier superhero flick.

Re: Spider-Man: Into the Spider Verse (2018)

What the Thriller in Manila was to Boxing with the third fight with Ali and Frazier, this film means just as much when it comes to Spider-Man lore and Super Heroes films. One of the greatest films this year for me, and one of the best Animated films I had the pleasure to watch. I had to shed a tear just when I saw Miles's family, seeing him Half-African American and Half Puerto Rican it's a great moment to even see this on Screen, something that took forever to happen..BUT IT HAPPENED! I think the way the make the story to me understandable that even a kid could get it, while giving a quick story of the other characters was a nice touch.

Villains including the ruthless Kingpin was done so great, truly the Kingpin right off the Daredevil Set and that's truth. Give me multiple films, and while you're at it give Ben Riley's Scarlet Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2099 please.

Re: Spider-Man: Into the Spider Verse (2018)

This honestly is up there as one of my favorite movies I've ever seen of any genre. No disrespect to other Superhero movies but to take on a big budget movie project and for maybe the first time ever for a movie to truly do justice to the comic book history & universe made me incredibly happy as someone who still supports comics to this day and am almost always disenchanted by The Avengers "style" of movies in general. And every main character was so well explored and well done that by the end I was extremely emotional and I'm never that way when it comes to movies, letalone what was really just a super fun movie.

I'll probably be watching this forever & I hope we see more Superhero movies learn from it & take from it. Amazing story. Amazing characters. Amazing style. Amazing movie. I loved it. *****

True dat man. If someone told me I would hear Hypnotize I would of called you a liar and why are you playing games with my heart. If theirs one thing I had a little problem is the lack of the relationship shown with Miles's Mom. We saw plenty of that with Miles's Dad and Uncle I would of wished to see that with his Puerto Rican Mom. If Miles's Mom is like my Mom you wouldn't of needed anymore Spider-Man/Women to get the job done she's an army in herself.

YMMV. They're pretty different movies. It's definitely in the conversation.

Absolutely loved it, and at the same time has made me dread next years Homecoming sequel a bit. Such a fresh lease of life on an established character/franchise, will happily take a sequel/Gwen spin-off/Penny spin-off over yet another standard Peter Parker yarn. Thank God the MCU one is gonna have Jake Gyllenhaal to maintain my interest.

I liked it, but I have found it's got a very marmite (is that a thing in Canada?) relationship with fans. I'd take it over both "Amazing" films, that's for sure.

    No idea about marmite....

    Is that like diehard fans?

I much prefer the Rami versions. I didnt mind the amazing films and find them better than homecoming.

Spiderman doesnt suck up to Iron Man. It ruins everything for me in the entire MCU. I already hate Iron Man and his inclusion into the Spiderman story made it worse. And Aunt May being young? In fact id easily put Homecoming as the second worst MCU film.

Imo they should of just kept going with the Rami versions. In fact Tobey >>>> Holland

Re: Spider-Man: Into the Spider Verse (2018)

I don't disagree that the Raimi/Tobey versions (at least the first two) are king. My order at this point would be:

    Spider-Man 2
    Spider-Man
Into The Spider Verse (this may go up with time though)
    Homecoming
    Spider-Man 3
    Amazing Spider-Man
    Amazing Spider-Man 2
