    WWE United Kingdom Brand press release

    Defiant Wrestling, which of course was formerly known as What Culture Pro Wrestling sadly is set to close it's doors. The promotion has of course long had it's troubles from it's early teething issues to some of it's shocking departures. Yet this did not stop it from bringing in and cultivating some high quality talents and putting on some great matches in it's 3 year tenure. Yet sadly various issues behind the scenes led to the brand announcing a possible hiatus as it looked to regroup. Yet now we can confirm that the WWE have officially bought out Defiant and all it's properties. With this absorbtion it is believed WWE not only has the rights to use Defiant trademarks but can now very much bring in a multitude of their talents should they see fit. Names said to be on the WWE's radar include A-Kid, Ashley Dunn, Carlos Romo, David Starr, Joe Hendry, Justin Sysum, Kelly Sixx, Rory Coyle, Sean Kustom, Kanji and Natalie Sykes. Meanwhile rumors also indicate that James R. Kennedy is in talks to possibly become the third voice at the commentary table for the UK Brand.

    (Just want to use this space here as well to say a big thanks to Looking Glass, who has not only generously redesigned my opening post but also for being a great help with ideas and suggestions!)

    Cheers for the comments bro. The commonwealth championship has been an idea I've wanted to run with for a while But I was struggling in regards to who to go with. Then Thatcher came to mind and with his style he is perfect for what very much I liken to a shoot style tv title. I do have some plans to get even more technical with the title as well given time. Aichner was always gonna be that twat to defend his belt like that haha. I love heel moves like that and I'm glad I got to do that with him. Glad you liked Kai/Davids. Ireally wanted to make that match something special and give it a big fight feel which I hope I accomplished. Pleased to know you liked it man!

    WWE United Kingdom Brand ~ Episode 067 ~ Standing on the edge of tomorrow
    28/2/19
    Liverpool, England

    Dark Match: Zack Gibson and Lizzy Styles defeated The OJMO and Kanji
    Gibson forced OJMO to submit following the Shankly Gates

    Dusted by Astroid Boys plays as this latest edition of the United Kingdom Brand opens up from Liverpool, England. As usual we start out with a video package of the key events from the previous edition of the UK Brand show. Highlights include another successful UK Commonwealth defense by Timothy Thatcher as well as a rugged brawl between Wolfgang and Tyson T-Bone before focus turns to the brutal street fight between Dakota Kai and April Davids. Once the video package ends, we cut to the filled arena where an electric crowd is present. As Doug Williams and John Gooden hype up tonight's event we quickly head to ringside for our opening match!

    Match One: Chakara vs Jinny

    Kicking off the night would be a grudge match as Chakara battled her former employer Jinny. Unsurprisingly this was a heated bout with Chakara taking the fight to Jinny having everything to prove in this bout. That's not to say that this was a one sided contest by any means as while Chakara had her moments, this contest also provided Jinny a chance to show her sadistic side. Towards the end of the match we'd get a real turning point in this bout as Jinny was outside the ring and Chakara reached under the ropes to grab her. Yet Jinny instead snatched Chakara by the hair and dragged her under the ropes leaving her feet on the apron before driving her into the floor with a DDT. There are looks of concerns in the crowd as Jinny stands up while Chakara is motionless on the ground. Rolling a lifeless Chakara into the ring, Jinny wasted no time in following up with the Touch of Couture for the victory!

    Shepherd: And the winner of the match Jinny!

    The crowd boos loudly as the announcement is made and the smug Jinny gets to her feet in the ring. While the smug fashionista stands tall in victory, the referee starts to check on the downed Chakara.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Heading backstage the cameras direct us towards the GM's office where Wade Barrett is standing by watching on as Katarina Leigh makes her return to the brand. Things are a little awkward between the two as Wade looks to welcome her back. Katarina meanwhile is all business as she quickly asks what's going on with Rhea Ripley and her status. Wade informs Katarina that at this moment Rhea is still out on suspension for the attack but that she will also be returning to the UK Brand soon, in fact in two weeks time to be exact. With Katarina listening in, Wade finishes this segment by stating that he will talk to Rhea but from this point on he hopes that both of them can be professional!
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    Footage filmed from earlier on in the evening focuses on
    Kenny Williams making his arrival to the building when he finds Thomas Dawkins standing by waiting for him. Kenny seems a little surprised as Dawkins is noticeably dressed a little more like him including a similar hat and denim jacket. Despite being taken aback by this, Kenny hears Dawkins out as he excitedly announces that he has his second match set for next week's edition of the UK Brand. Announcing it is a tag team match against the Grizzled Young Veterans and that he needs a tag team partner, Dawkins follows up by asking Williams. Despite some brief hesitation Kenny accepts the offer before he walks off in the building leaving Dawkins alone with a big smile on his face.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Match Two: Timothy Thatcher vs Charlie Sterling ~ Commonwealth Championship
    For the third straight week we'd see Timothy Thatcher step into the ring to put his Commonwealth Championship on the line. Of course with a customary fifteen minute time limit, Thatcher this week finally found himself against an opponent close to his size and with quite a lot of experience as part of the UK Brand in Charlie Sterling. Still looking to prove himself, Sterling was aggressive in the early going if not a little too aggressive. As the ever tactical and methodical Thatcher was able to capitalise on these mistakes and ground Sterling all the while finding a target with his focus being on Charlie's right knee. The crowd slowly began to get behind Charlie as the match waged on and he showed some heart by attempting a comeback on practically one leg. Yet in a stunning moment after Sterling put it all on the line and laid out the champion with a superkick, Charlie hobbled over to follow up only for Thatcher to pull him to the canvas in a small package position. Unfortunately for Sterling in his attempt to kick out, Thatcher caught his right leg in a tight kneebar with the pressure clamped on for a submission victory.
    Shepherd: And the winner of the match and still champion Timothy Thatcher!
    There are boos from the crowd as the announcement is made and Timothy Thatcher rises to his feet. After being presented with his championship, Timothy Thatcher stands proud in the ring while the referee checks on Sterling who is clutching his knee in agony.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    Cutting away from ringside, the cameras take us to the locker room area where both
    Mark Davis and Kyle Fletcher are standing by. Neither man is in a good mood as we are reminded of Shane Thorne's promo on his former team. Speaking honestly it is Mark Davis who starts out this promo by stating that what has happened with Shane Thorne was the last thing he wanted. Calling Shane Thorne, a close friend back in the day who offered him and Kyle a shot at superstardom. Mark Davis admits that neither he or Kyle were fully prepared for what Shane Thorne wanted from them. Kyle remarks that Shane used them for his own ends. He wanted them to be people they weren't in his New Mighty stable. However they are not the New Mighty, they are Aussie Open. This is what Shane couldn't live with or accept. Now they have learned how desperate Shane is and embittered that they wanted to be their own men. With that Mark Davis closes this promo by remarking that this isn't what they wanted but at the same time if Shane Thorne wants a fight, they'll give him one!

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    "The King of Bros"
    Matt Riddle is in the UK Rumble
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    Once the video comes to an end, we then return to the locker room area where
    Tyson T-Bone is standing by. T-Bone is fired up and angry over last week and his double DQ in the match with Wolfgang. Remarking that this is not the kind of result he wanted nor was it the result he thinks Wolfgang would have wanted. This is why Tyson T-Bone has elected to take this time here and demand that Wolfgang and he get to face off yet again in that ring. It is then T-Bone asks the fans of the UK Brand to campaign for this match as he remarks that everyone loved the battle last week, but they never got to see it end. This time round he will bring an end to the battle or he will die trying!

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Match Three: Millie McKenzie vs Xia Brookside
    A second grudge match in the women's division would then take place between two of the division's youngest talents. This was a short, sweet bout with both girls getting in their moments before Millie McKenzie took over and started throwing Xia Brookside all across the ring with a variety of suplexes. With the crowd on their feet, Millie attempted to end things with a german suplex only for Xia to spin out and toss her shoulder first into the ring post. However Xia's attempts to finish things off with a single knee face buster surprisingly was blocked before Millie crushed her with a spear. A deadlift german suplex by Millie McKenzie then followed for the victory.
    Shepherd: And the winner of the match Millie McKenzie!
    As Millie McKenzie makes her way to her feet, she is met with a loud pop from the crowd. From here Millie gets her arm raised in the air before she ascends the turnbuckle and raises her arm in the air to a huge reaction.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    It would then be time for our latest edition of a walk through the rose garden and we'd see our host
    Joanna Rose joined by the UK Tag Team Champions Pete Dunne and Trent Seven. During this interview Joanna is quick to start by congratulating them on their victory before asking just how they got into the match itself. Seven with a proud smirk on his face, remarks that it was he who had come up with the idea of himself and Pete Dunne reuniting at the UK Showcase. For as many are aware these two men have quite the storied history as part of British Strong Style. Admitting that the King of the Ring didn't go the way either man had hoped, Trent remarks that it was through his vision that neither man were an afterthought after the UK Showcase and now they are in possession of gold. From here Joanna asks why the two attacked Jordan Devlin later on in the night to which Pete Dunne remarks that was merely to prove a point. Calling it a lesson so that Jordan knows his place, remarking that Devlin never beat them to become King of the Ring. It is clear that neither Dunne or Seven hold that much respect for the King of the North. The final question of this interview sees Joanna ask who the champs would rather face out of the two teams in tonight's main event. Yet neither Dunne or Seven seems that interested in answering as they remark that they've already proven their superiority over all four men in the match. So what's one more time going to make a difference to either of them!

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    A replay from the previous week's show is then played and we see how
    Fabian Aichner defended his United Kingdom Championship against Sid Scala. This squash match is pretty much played in it's entirity before we are taken to the locker room area where Fabian Aichner is standing by. The reigning UK Champion is loaded with bravado as he has the gall to praise his opponent last week for what he called a hard fought match and victory. With that Fabian Aichner remarks that on next week's edition of the UK Brand, he will be defending his championship against another suitable opponent.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    Match Four: Jordan Devlin and Tyler Bate vs The Coffeys

    For our last bout of the night we'd get a number one contenders tag team match as Jordan Devlin and Tyler Bate united to battle the Coffey Brothers. Despite any concerns about Devlin and Bate as a team, these two performed remarkably well against the former UK Tag Team Champions. The King of the North in particular entered in another thrilling performance including laying out both Coffey brothers with a big asai moonsault to the floor. Yet in the end it would be the experience factor which played a part of Mark and Joe Coffey managed to intercept a rare lack in communication by the duo in which Tyler Bate despite being the recipient of a brutal high low combination earlier in the night, would tag himself back into the ring and very much take a bullet for his partner as Joe Coffey wiped him out with a black coffey. Mark meanwhile was able to keep Jordan trapped in the corner as the referee countered the three.

    Shepherd: And the winners of the match The Coffey Brothers.

    There is a mixed reaction from the crowd as the announcement is made. Mark and Joe Coffey get their hands raised in the air in victory before they turn to see Jordan Devlin helping Tyler Bate to his feet. In a surprising show of sportsmanship The Coffey brothers then offer Jordan and Bate a handshake which both Bate and Devlin accept to a pop from the crowd.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Returning backstage the cameras focus on
    Tegan Nox backstage. As Tegan Nox walks towards the women's locker room she is surprised to be met by Gisele Shaw. "The Pearl" is surprisingly respectful and apologetic for Tegan for her actions over the past few months as she admits that Rhea Ripley made her a bunch of promises which were in fact a lot of lies. Nox remains uncertain of Shaw's genuineness but Gisele seems sincere as she just wanted to let her know that she's not that person anymore. With that Gisele Shaw walks off down the hallway while Nox continues to head to the locker room, yet as she does so she is now met by Lizzy Styles. The scouser unlike Shaw, clearly doesn't respect the champion as she informs her that her title reign is in jeopardy. Revealing that she'll be in the UK Women's Rumble, Lizzy Styles seems one hundred percent certain that the women's championship is going to be hers. Nox for her part doesn't seem that interested in what Lizzy has to say and starts to walk past her. This proves to be a mistake as Styles cheapshots her from behind. Shoving Nox into the door, Styles' attempts to beatdown the champion but Nox is able to fight her off. Security arrive on the scene soon after to split them up while Styles can be heard yelling a variety of trash talk at the champion.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    "Johnny Wrestling"

    Johnny Gargano is in the UK Rumble

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    When we return to ringside, there is a notably mixed response from the crowd as
    Kay Lee Ray is standing in the ring with a microphone in hand. Kay Lee Ray is quick to remind everyone of her victory over Toni Storm as well as her confration with Tegan Nox last week. Remarking that she said she'd have her title shot when the timing was right and that the timing is right for her now. Kay Lee Ray makes it clear that she wants her championship title match against Tegan Nox right here right now, Kay Lee Ray demands that a referee comes out here now before she starts calling Tegan Nox out.
    Much to Kay Lee Ray's chagrin however it isn't Tegan Nox who walks out here, instead it is
    Toni Storm who walks out to a pop from the crowd. On her way down to the ring, Toni Storm grabs herself a microphone before she stands across from Kay Lee Ray. After admitting that she of course is not Tegan Nox, Toni Storm is out here to remind Kay Lee Ray that she is not the number one contender for the women's championship. In fact Toni is also out here to remind her that Kay Lee Ray has not really proven how good she is compared to Toni Storm because they are tied at 1-1!
    Remarking that she has a great respect for the champion Tegan Nox, Toni Storm reveals that she also wants a championship opportunity against the champion. However this moment right now has provided her with a great opportunity. As not only does she get to call her own personal shot at the women's title but also she gets to call out Kay Lee Ray. Stating that she cannot accept that they are tied, Toni Storm now is the one to call for the referee as she challenges Kay Lee Ray to a rematch right now with the winner being the number one contender.
    Instead of a referee however it is
    Dakota Kai who heads out to the ring this time. Limping as she shows some after effects from her brutal match with April Davids last week, Dakota Kai takes a microphone and also gets into the ring undaunted by her two other rivals in the ring. Starting out by acknowledging her respect for both Toni and Kay Lee, Dakota Kai then talks about her match last week with April Davids. Calling it a war and admitting following that she definitely has respect for the leader of the female fight factory.
    From here Kai begins to address the future by again reiterating her respect for both Kay Lee Ray and Toni Storm before commenting that unlike either of them, she hasn't settled for a tie. Instead she has defeated her rival and that is why she should be the number one contender. Calling Tegan Nox one of her best friends, Dakota Kai is full of praise for the champion but goes on to say that she will not hold back against her simply because they are friends when it comes to becoming the WWE UK Women's Champion!
    Just as all three women go back and forth in the ring trading some barbs, they are all caught off guard by the arrival of
    Millie McKenzie. Fresh off her earlier victory over Xia Brookside. Millie is all smiles as she stands on the apron with a microphone in hand, similar to Kai Millie is quick to express her respect towards the other women in the ring. Yet from here Millie is quick to mention how all these women in the ring have had their moments and their big matches and sadly for them they have not been able to win their big chances.
    Looking back at the UK Showcase in which they were all on the same team, Millie reminds them all that she was the last woman standing on that team as they had all been eliminated. As she continues to talk Millie remarks that with the momentum she is riding, this feels like it is truly her time to shine and not theirs. So that is why she is out here to call her shot against Tegan Nox. This doesn't sit well with any of the women, especially Kay Lee Ray who demands that the little girl goes backstage to play with her dolls and leave the big matches to her. Yet Millie responds by stating she'll be happy to prove her wrong right now.
    The crowd erupts into boos and every woman in the ring immediately turns to the ramp having had a storied history with
    Jinny. The Fashionista slowly emerges from the back and stands atop the stage with a microphone in hand. Unlike many of the women in the ring, Jinny shows no respect for any of her peers as she dismisses all of them and proclaims herself the only woman that matters in this division. Commenting how she has beaten everyone woman in the ring here at one point or another Jinny continues to dismiss them and the champion Tegan Nox for that matter as beneath her.
    Unsurprisingly this earns Jinny a ton of boos from the crowd yet before things can escalate, it is
    Wade Barrett who appears on the titantron via video feed. Looking to bring a halt to this incesant arguing, Wade Barrett says that he will be the one to determine the number one contender for Tegan Nox's Championship. It is then that Wade makes a block buster announcement as he reveals that in 2 weeks time we will see a 6 pack challenge match featuring Jinny, Millie McKenzie, Dakota Kai, Toni Storm, Kay Lee Ray and one other participant with the winner being granted a future championship match against Tegan Nox for the women's championship. The crowd in attendance cheers at this announcement as the latest edition of the UK Brand comes to a close.
    WWE United Kingdom Brand ~ Episode 068 ~ Strange House
    7/3/19
    Brighton, England
    Dusted by Astroid Boys plays as this latest edition of the United Kingdom Brand opens up from Brighton, England. The show kicks off with a video package detailing all of the key events from the previous week's show. This starts out with the latest Commonwealth Championship defense as Timothy Thatcher defeated Charlie Sterling. Also covered is Jinny's victory over Chakara before the video closes with the Coffey Brothers defeating Jordan Devlin and Tyler Bate. This brings an end to the video package and from here we officially kick of the latest show. With a highly excitable audience in attendance Doug Williams and John Gooden hype up the event before they direct us to the titantron so we can see some footage filmed earlier in the day.
    On the titantron, footage plays highlighting Travis Banks making his arrival to the arena. The former United Kingdom Champion begins to walk towards the locker room area when he is surprised to find Wade Barrett waiting for him. Confused by Banks' presence Wade remarks that he didn't expect to see Travis back for a few more weeks at least. Banks responds however that he is fine and he is here to get his championship back. Wade however is quick to remark that Banks will have to wait for his championship match for the time being as Aichner has a bout scheduled for tonight and Wade wants Aichner to face the winner of the UK Rumble at the next UK Showcase. Banks doesn't seem happy with this while Wade then goes out of his way to rather incincerely welcome Banks back to the UK Brand before he walks off down the hall.
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Match One: Thomas Dawkins and Kenny Williams vs The Grizzled Young Veterans
    The opening contest of the night would be tag team action as Thomas Dawkins looked to pick up his first UK Brand victory with his idol Kenny Williams as his tag partner. Yet they didn't have an easy task in the Grizzled Young Veterans. As he looked to prove himself Thomas Dawkins would even go so far in the early goings to perform some of Kenny Williams' moves. Yet despite his best attempts, Dawkins never seemed to really work with Kenny Williams that well as a team compared to the Veterans. Towards the end of the match, a miscommunication would take place as Dawkins elected to tag himself back into the match only to be driven into the canvas with a Helter Skelter by Gibson while Drake tripped Williams. As Drake pulled Kenny from the ring, Gibson would cover Dawkins for the win.
    Shepherd: And the winners of the match Zack Gibson and James Drake!
    Boos from the crowd echo out as the announcement is made and the boastful Zack Gibson climbs to his feet. Zack is soon joined by James Drake as they start to celebrate their win while Kenny Williams checks on a distraught Thomas Dawkins.
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    From here the cameras direct us towards the general manager's office where Katarina Leigh has been joined by both Kasey Owens and Charlie Morgan. Neither woman seems particularly sure why they have been called to the office but it seems Katarina is full of praise for the two. Remarking how they have both had some ups and downs in their careers but have more than paid their dues. Calling them a strong if not under appreciated apart of the UK Women's division, Katarina then announces that tonight will be their big moment as they will compete against one another to earn the final spot in the 6 women's match next week!
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Match Two: Fabian Aichner vs Colin Delaney - United Kingdom Championship Match
    Having promised a second title defense this week, Fabian Aichner defended his championship against a man who in his words was an accomplished ECW veteran. Much to the crowd's dismay however it would be jobber Colin Delaney. What followed would be a quick squash match with Aichner throwing Colin all over the ring before finishing him off with a sit out powerbomb.
    Shepherd: And the winner of the match and still champion Fabian Aichner!
    The crowd in attendance is not happy and they voice their approval as the announcement is made. Yet as Fabian Aichner is presented with his championship, there is a loud pop from the crowd. Before Aichner can react he is blasted with a slice of heaven directly to the jaw by Travis Banks! Aichner is hurt badly by the blow as he falls out to the floor. Staggering to his feet, a groggy Aichner looks to be on jelly legs when he is taken out again this time by a big suicide dive by Travis Banks! Standing over the downed Aichner, Travis Banks then makes it clear that sooner rather than later he will be getting his rematch!
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    What followed would be our latest edition of a walk through the rose garden as Joanna Rose would be joined by Shane Thorne for this exclusive interview. While Joanna usually treats her guests with respect, it is clear that during this interview she is not particularly fond of her guest Shane Thorne. Brash, out spoken and bragadocious Shane Thorne again is quick to blast his former tag team Aussie Open. Once again Thorne takes credit for their success and he even brazingly begins to boast that he is the reason they began teaming together in the first place thanks to his success with his former partner in the Mighty. Joanna attempts to very much call Shane Thorne on his shit for a lack of a better term. Yet despite the interviewer producing facts and what not which dispute Shane's claims for taking full credit for Aussie Open, Shane remains admant that he is what made them. Closing this chaotic and argumentative segment, Shane Thorne issues a surprising challenge as he calls out Kyle Fletcher for a match next week!
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    A replay of the Wolfgang/Tyson T-Bone match is played before we get clips of T-Bone's challenge from last week. Found footage from earlier in the evening is then played and it shows Wolfgang sitting on the back of a pick up truck with a bottle of whisky in his hands. After taking one mighty swig, Wolfgang is quick to acknowledge Tyson T-Bone's challenge to him. However after their past match he wants to raise the stakes. Knowing that the way they both are, any match they have which is sanctioned by an official means that it'll just be one long series of disqualifications or count outs. This is why next week Wolfgang isn't going to be meeting Tyson T-Bone in the ring! Instead he wants Tyson T-Bone to meet him in the parking lot for a good old fashioned Iron Circle Match.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Ruby Riott is in UK Women's Rumble!
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Match Three: Timothy Thatcher vs Chris Brookes - Commonwealth Championship
    It'd then be time for our Commonwealth Championship bout of the night as Timothy Thatcher took on Chris Brookes. Before the bell even had rung, the commentary team were predicting that this very much could be Timothy Thatcher's roughest defense yet as he took on Chris Brookes. Clearly with something to prove Chris Brookes fought Thatcher tooth and nail across the whole bout looking the best he had looked in a match as part of the UK Brand. This would also be Tim's longest defense as the bout reached the 11 minute mark when Thatcher tossed Brookes shoulder first into the ring post. Staggering back Brookes was then pulled to the canvas in a tight sleeper hold with Thatcher body scissoring him as well. The choke was on tight and Brookes attempted to struggle his way out but eventually he'd go limp and the referee had no choice but to call for the bell.
    Shepherd: And the winner of the match and still champion Timothy Thatcher!
    The crowd in attendance boos as the announcement is made and Timothy Thatcher slowly releases the hold. Standing up in the ring, Thatcher has a smirk on his face before his arm gets raised by the referee. From here Thatcher takes a moment to stand over the downed Brookes before he snatches his hand and shakes it forcefully.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Taking us away from ringside the cameras direct us towards the locker room area where the Coffey Brothers are standing by. The former tag team champions are full of confidence after their victory last week and they are quick to show both Jordan Devlin and Tyler Bate some respect for their efforts, before they begin to address their bout with Trent Seven and Pete Dunne next week. Mark Coffey is the first to mention how the only reason they lost the titles is because Seven and Dunne were added post match to the turmoil and took advantage of them being in a weakened state. Joe Coffey then follows up with a promise to the fans and a warning to the champions as he promises next week they will be at 100 percent and they will reclaim their tag team championships!
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Deonna Purazzo is in the UK Women's Rumble!
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Match Four: Kasey Owens vs Charlie Morgan
    The fourth bout of the night would then see Charlie Morgan battle Kasey Owens for the final spot in the six women match next week. Having been friends and tag team partners there was a show of respect between the two before the bell rung and once it did both women got to work. As we'd see their familiarity meant that they had one another well scouted. Towards the end of the bout both girls would wind up on the top turnbuckle with Kasey attempting a superplex. Charlie would counter in mid air however with a knee to the top of the head. As both women fell to the canvas, Morgan landed on top of Owens in a pinning position for the victory.
    Shepherd: And the winner of the match Charlie Morgan!
    The crowd applaud Charlie as the announcement is made and she slowly begins to get to her feet. After she has her arm raised in the air, Charlie immediately goes to check on the groggy Kasey Owens. Once she is to her feet Kasey is clearly disappointed yet despite her loss she classily raises her friends arm in the air to cheers.
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Disappointed in his defeat earlier on in the evening, a dejected Kenny Williams is packing up his gear as he looks to head on out for the night. As he goes to leave the locker room area however he is taken aback when none other than Morgan Webster walks into the room. Things are definitely still tense between these former friends turned enemies even though Webster makes it clear that he is not here to fight. Remarking that he has made a lot of mistakes in his time, Morgan admits that he knows that he can't turn the clock back but what he can do is at least try and redeem himself in another way. Before Kenny can respond, Morgan issues him with a vague warning as he tells him that while he seems all friendly and harmless if not a little eccentric, that Kenny needs to be careful with Dawkins. With that Morgan leaves the room as Kenny begins to think over what Webster has to say.
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Main Event: Tegan Nox vs Lizzy Styles
    Finally it'd be time for the main event of the evening as the UK Women's Champion Tegan Nox battled Lizzy Styles in what was a bit of a grudge match after their run in last week. Despite the title not being on the line, there was a lot to prove in this bout for the debutant Styles. However one advantage she did have as opposed to her opponent, was she had clearly been able to study Tegan's game and also thanks to her boisterous attitude was frustrating her opponent. Showing herself to be unafraid of short cuts, every time she made a cover be it feet on the ropes or hands on the tights. In the end however her foul tactics came back to cost her, as Lizzy removed the turnbuckle pad exposing it only for Nox to hit her with a dropkick sending her crashing back into it. Dropping to a knee, Lizzy was then met with a shining wizard by Tegan who made the cover for the victory.
    Shepherd: And the winner of the match Tegan Nox!
    The crowd cheers loudly as the announcement is made and the UK Women's Champion gets to her feet. After being presented her championship, Tegan Nox begins to celebrate her victory and holds her title belt aloft. The show then comes to a close with the women's champion standing tall in the ring.
    Re: WWE United Kingdom Brand
    WWE United Kingdom Brand ~ Episode 069 ~ Back in Black
    10/3/19
    Nottingham, England
    Dusted by Astroid Boys plays as this latest edition of the United Kingdom Brand opens up from Nottingham, England. Kicking off this week's show is a video package highlighting the events of the past week's show. This starts out with the return of Travis Banks to the brand and his assault on the UK Champion Fabian Aichner. From here the video comes to a close with Tegan Nox's victory over Lizzy Styles. Once the video comes to an end, this week's show officially opens before a packed crowd in attendance. After Doug Williams and John Gooden hype up tonight's event they send us backstage for our opening bout.
    Match One: Tyson T-Bone vs Wolfgang - Iron Circle Match
    Kicking off the night would be the first ever Iron Circle Match in the UK Brand's history. Taking place in the car park, both T-Bone and Wolfgang would do battle in a circle with cars parked all around them. With various crew members and superstars watching on these two men tore into each other with the knowledge that it would be by knockout only that this match ended. Physical and brutal both men wasted no time in doling out damage to one another with T-Bone in particular hitting a devastating spear like tackle sending Wolfgang crashing back first onto a wind screen. As the battle waged on, Wolfgang mounted a comeback before driving T-Bone head first into the roof of a car with a DDT. From here Wolfgang would climb onto the back of a hummer before in a shocking move he'd leap off and connect with the howling across the chest of T-Bone. Both men are down as there is a loud ooohh from everyone watching. Surprisingly though both men would show some signs of life as they each rolled off of the car albeit on opposite sides. Badly wounded T-Bone used the car to pull himself up and as he did it was notable that he'd wrapped a chain around his hand. Slowly making his way to Wolfgang on the other side T-Bone drilled him with a punch using the chain, however at the same time Wolfgang landed a shot of his own and we'd see he was wearing brass knuckles. As Wolfgang hit the ground, T-Bone slumped across the hood before falling to the floor as well. With neither man responsive the referee is forced to bring the bout to an end.
    Shepherd: This contest has been ruled a double Knockout!
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    The cameras direct us towards the GM's office where a livid Wade Barrett is standing by with Travis Banks. Demanding answers, Wade reminds him that he told him to leave Aichner for the moment as he will not be getting a guarenteed rematch right now. Yet Banks counters back reminding Wade of all the times Aichner assaulted him which is why he is taking a page out of Aichner's book with the attacks until he gets what he wants. This doesn't sit well with Barrett who counters that if Banks wants Aichner, he will have to earn that rematch in the UK Rumble. But in order to get there he will have to compete in a qualifying match next week
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Match Two: Timothy Thatcher vs Morgan Webster - Commonwealth Championship
    The Commonwealth Championship would be on the line in the next contest as Timothy Thatcher battled Morgan Webster. Despite his previous villainous turn, the story of this bout very much was Morgan Webster looking to vindicate himself and show his true potential to the world. In the early going this very much worked for Morgan as he had the Commonwealth Champion reeling with some high flying antics. Yet the ever resourceful champion was able to begin to ground Morgan, this would be until the challenger caught Thatcher with a single knee face buster. Yet before he could follow up with any more offense, Webster would be brought down to the canvas in a tight small package pin which allowed Thatcher to retain his championship.
    Shepherd: And the winner of the match and still champion Timothy Thatcher!
    The crowd boos loudly as the announcement is made and Timothy Thatcher climbs to his feet. After getting his hand raised in the air, Thatcher holds his championship high while a disappointed Morgan Webster rolls out to the floor.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Pacing back and forth, an antsy
    Thomas Dawkins looks to be growing steadily impatient as he appears to be waiting for someone. Sighing with relief, Dawkins soon begins to smile as Kenny Williams walks into the room. Dawkins is quick to apologise profusely for what happened last week as he remarks he took his eye off the ball. Kenny accepts the apology but he does seem a little uncertain of how to react while Dawkins asks for another chance. Kenny shakes his head as he begins to voice some concerns about Dawkins trying to be someone he's not. Despite Thomas' pleas Kenny leaves the locker room while an engraged Dawkins removes the Kenny Williams t-shirt he is wearing and rips it apart with his hands.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Otis will be in the UK Rumble!
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Returning backstage following his latest Commonwealth defense,
    Timothy Thatcher places his title down on a nearby table as he begins to get his breath back. However on doing so he finds himself confronted by Mark Andrews. Squaring up to Thatcher, Andrews is quick to comment that he is not impressed with Thatcher and his run so far. Remarking that Tim's proclaimed sportsmanship is a mockery, Andrews remarks that he is here to knock him down a peg. Thatcher doesn't look impressed as Andrews reveals that next week he is coming for the Commonwealth Championship.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Match Three: Kyle Fletcher vs Shane Thorne
    Match three of the night was very much a grudge match as Kyle Fletcher took on Shane Thorne. With something to prove Kyle Fletcher would even opt to head to the ring alone in this bout. This very much was a spirited clash between the two men and a case of two different styles as you had the dynamic high flyer Fletcher taking on the smash mout, ground and pound style that Thorne looked to employ. Near the end of the bout, Kyle's high risk offense backfired however as a spring board attempt was countered with a vicious leaping knee strike by Thorne. This allowed Thorne to connect with a penalty kick for the victory.
    Shepherd: And the winner of the match Shane Thorne!
    The crowd boos as the announcement is made and Shane Thorne gets to his feet. Shane Thorne begins to celebrate his win as the referee tends to Kyle Fletcher. Soon Mark Davis rushes to the ring, Thorne quickly escapes while Mark tends to Kyle.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    What followed would be our exclusive edition of a walk through the rose garden as Joanna Rose is joined by Rhea Ripley. To the surprise of no one this interview heavily focused on her issues with Katarina Leigh. Ripley brands Katarina a poor general manager who has constantly held her back when in reality she is the top dog of the UK Brand's Womens division. Speaking openly Rhea Ripley again blasts Katarina for never having any success in her career and taking it out on someone so young and successful like herself. From here Ripley promises victory in the Women's UK Rumble because with that win she will become the UK Women's Champion. Because just as she has always said, her reign will be undeniable!
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Match Four: Pete Dunne and Trent Seven vs The Coffey Brothers - Tag Team Championships
    The Tag Team Championships are on the line in the next bout of the night as Pete Dunne and Trent Seven defended their gold against the Coffey Brothers. This was a hard hitting bout from the off with the Coffey Brothers looking to prove a point as they looked to punish the men who took their championships from them. Very much the majority of the bout would be dominated by the challengers as they battered the champions from pillar to post. Yet if we have learned one thing about Trent Seven it is that he always has a trick up his sleeve and this was shown as in a melee with all 4 men in the ring, he took advantage of the ensuing chaos to put on a pair of brass knucles which he used to lay out Mark Coffey before making the cover for the win.
    Shepherd: And the winners of the match and still champions Pete Dunne and Trent Seven!
    The crowd boos as the announcement is made and Trent Seven gets to his feet in the ring. As he is joined by Pete Dunne, the champions see Joe Coffey checking on his brother. Quickly both Dunne and Seven jump Joe as the crowd erupts into boos. Stomping and kicking away at him the tag champs assault continues until both Jordan Devlin and Tyler Bate rush down to the ring. Quickly both Dunne and Seven escape the ring and flee into the crowd while Devlin and Bate begin to check on the brothers.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Jaxson Ryker is in the UK Rumble!
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Main Event: Charlie Morgan vs Dakota Kai vs Jinny vs Kay Lee Ray vs Millie McKenzie vs Toni Storm
    Finally it would be time for the main event of the evening as 6 women would do battle to become the number one contender for the UK Women's Championship. This would be an action packed main event filled with false finishes and big moments. Towards the end of the bout every woman would have a stand out moment with the incredibly popular youngster Millie McKenzie who continued her impressive series of performances by ragdolling all her opponents with a series of suplexes. Yet near the end of the bout, she would take out both Charlie Morgan and Toni Storm with a suicide dive. Meanwhile in the ring Kay Lee Ray would begin doing battle with Dakota Kai in a back and forth battle yet just as it looked like Kay Lee was about to plant her with a gory bomb, Kai spun out and blasted her with a pele kick to the jaw. Yet before she can follow up with anymore offense Kai is shoved from behind by Jinny sending her crashing into Kay Lee Ray with the two butting heads. Stunned badly, Kay Lee Ray is then planted with the touch of couture by Jinny.
    Shepherd: And the winner of the match Jinny!
    The crowd erupts into boos as the announcement is made and the smug Jinny climbs to her feet. While Jinny gets her arm raised in the air, the Fashionista basks in the boos from the crowd while at ringside several of the women in the match can't hide their frustration at the loss. The show then comes to a close with Jinny standing tall in the ring as the number one contender for the women's championship.
