Re: WC's Fave Five Video Games of 2005!!

GTA: LCS was the only game I had on the PSP, so I played the heck out of it and it only felt right to include it on my list. To be honest though, I don't remember much from it because it's been about 11 years since I last played it. I do remember having fun with it though, it kept me entertained.

Now I feel like a bad bond fan for not having it higher but I couldn't put above the other four which could all be number ones in weaker years imo.

I wanted to vote From Russia With Love because it's one of my favorite Bond movies but I remember being horribly disappointed with the game so I worked throuh that bias and left it off.

Love love LOVED Indigo Prophecy at the time. I blew it by not voting for that one over Tekken (though Tekken 5 is arguably the best in the series and an epic fighting game). Shaolin Monks was a favorite as well.

Re: WC's Fave Five Video Games of 2005!!

    Dirty thirties

    Tied - 11th
Animal Crossing: Wild World - 30 (Lucha Long Name #3)

    Burnout: Revenge - 30 (Coxatron #4, Postman Dave #5)

God of War - 30 (Brock Landers #3)

Lego Star Wars: The Video Game - 30 (Postman Dave #4, Fuji Vice #5)

Mario Superstar Baseball - 30 (Fuji Vice #3)

    Pokemon Emerald - 30 (Coxatron #3)

    The Punisher - 30 (Jimmy King #3)

    Sid Meier’s Civilization IV - 30 (Jiggy #3)

    WWE Wrestlemania 21 - 30 (Dook Gulak #3)

A couple I'm surprised to see so low are bonafide classics like God of War and Pokemon Emerald, both still considered quite prolific to this day. Always thought GoW was a bit overrated myself, but Emerald, as well as Wild World and Burnout were on my shortlist. Civ IV is also a marvelously addicting time, Lego Star Wars is a blast and a gaming landmark, and Superstar Baseball was fun but no Power Tennis!

I considered Civ 4 but I don't really remember it all that well when compared to the others. Big time props to Dave for the LEGO Star Wars love.

If I had noticed Lego Star Wars it would have bumped NFS MW. WM 21 was considered but props to Dook for giving it love I knew he was gonna.

Holy shit Indigo Prophecy. Never played the game, but helped out a college group back in the day as they re-enacted the opening. Memories.

LEGO games are always fun, especially when they're Star Wars.

When browsing the games list on Wiki I must have completely missed The Warriors because it would have made my list for sure. I loved that game, so much fun.

Punisher was good fun too, especially the special kill animations you can use on enemies.

That Punisher game is a brutally entertaining game.

    Tied - 10th
    Battlefield 2 - 40 (The Natural #2)

Buzz! The Music Quiz - 40 (Postman Dave #2)

    Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening - 40 (Zero #2)

    Guitar Hero - 40 (Postman Dave #3, OMB #5)

    NBA Street V3 - 40 (OMB #2)

    NCAA Football 2006 - 40 (PeepShow #2)

WWE Day of Reckoning 2 - 40 (Dook Gulak #2)

Guitar Hero set the stage for some of my favorite games ever, but alas, I didn't play until the second one, so I couldn't much justify a vote for the innovator. Rest of these I don't have much comment on, but Stacy's looking pretty good there.

Like Cox and Panther said I think GH2 was the one that became more popular since I too started with that one and not GH

Completely agree about Guitar Hero 2 being the bigger title, but played enough of 1 for it to deserve a shout.
