Bt don't forget this is a dynasty league. No offense but you overpaid on a lot of guys. When we hit the off-season you can cut them all and get your salary cap back in line and draft a whole new team. But keep up with your lineup because the format is all about scoring points. I like this way more than H2H

    Last year: P gives up a run = - 1

    This year: P gives up a run = - 270

Still not sure I understand how this works.

I know I overpaid... kinda like in real life when I get a big check I spend it quicker than I should. I check every day though, if a pitcher is on my bench it’s because I have no faith in him for that matchup. I also love the scoring.

Probably the only thing I’m not a fan of is having to bid on free agents. I like picking and choosing who I want on my squad and throughout the draft I thought I could pick and choose guys to plug in. Well at least I’ll know for next season.

Insane that the point differential from first to sixth is only about 118 points, but the difference from sixth to seventh is like 291.

Still early, so plenty of time for it to change, but that's just nuts.

I'm selling for the future because everyone else seemed ready to either go for it or hedge middle. I hope it pays off in Year 2 or Year 3.

Also, Cox, anyone who buys and goes all-in this season for the championship and has zero prospects should pay for next year when they make those all-in trades. Just a suggestion. Keeps them from skeddadling after the year when their future is bleak.

How would you even penalize someone? They'd be penalizing themselves by having to overpay for an underperforming roster. lol.

Yeah I expect there to be a handful of people who bail anyway. There's no way to penalize anyone and really the prospect thing is a non-issue. You don't have to keep your whole roster. Salaries increase in the off-season so plenty of big name players will be dropped so it's not like you have to be all-in or all-prospects.

I've got one player that's out for the season, which is Matt Shoemaker, I really want to drop him, but I don't want to get penalized for the move. Plus, I really want to cut a few people from my roster because they have been playing poorly. I really hesitate to make those moves.

I'm still trying my best to fight back in the rankings. It's really tough with all the injuries.

Trying my best to crawl out of the early season hole. My pitching is decently strong at the moment, hitting is still very weak, but I'm just happy I've made a climb out of last place.

So the prices get jacked for next season, and if I'm well out of the playoff hunt by July, I'll surely be selling off Mike Trout and his bloated salary. Most likely Scherzer as well, but I think I'll hold onto Sale, I love that guy.

If he's on the 60 day IL you get an additional roster spot to use. If you don't have the funds to go that route you might have to cut.

Some decisions are tough but this style of fantasy you have to make them. That's part of why I like it so much.

Cox, how many keepers will we be able to have for next season?

As many as you want there are no limits. Theoretically you can keep or drop your whole team.

    To Cox as well:

Not saying they are penalized. Saying they should pay their buy-in for the next season. Like, they should have to pay Cox their $20 for next year if they go all-in this season and have few prospects stashed.

I see that Cavan Biggio got called up from the minors, right when I traded him away for Sonny Gray. Lucky bastard Scott Boar Asses is in getting him.

I don't even really think it's a big deal tbh. There will be people with prospects that bail and people that tried to win who bail. We'll be able to recruit new owners if and when that happens.

I took over a team before starting this league and it went pretty smooth.

BattleTank has caught up and is bound to surpass me if he scores more than 30 points. His team is really putting in the effort to compete at this moment.

    Nice job man.

Thanks bud. Took me a while to figure the whole salary cap situation out. I still have a ways to go to really catch you though Doom. I think points wise you’re the only one with more over the past week.

    Thanks BT.

I've finally figured out everything in this league after trying to figure everything out for nearly two months. This league isn't a joke. Anybody can be on a hot streak and some can be stone cold with fewer points. This has been fun.

Also, Giancarlo Stanton's scheduled to play Tuesday. Huge news for my team.
