    2017-18 NBA Regular Season Discussion

Pretty pumped for the season to begin tonight. Kyrie back in Cleveland against the Cavs. Ohhhhhhhh baby. Should be an exciting year, even with the Bulls being one of THE worst team in the league. DRose back on a good team, Jimmy and Taj back with Thibs, etc. OKC and Houston should have good teams and are an injury or two away from making some noise out West come playoff time.

But yeah, last year's hype train for the Wolves wasn't my best moment...

And I think Dunn could easily be ROTY.

Desperate for someone to non-Cavs to make the finals and take it to GSW this year to shut up the "league isnt competitive" statements.

Then again, I do think that the conference playoffs need to be abolished. It would certainly make the east road less of a walkover. West should be great to watch.

Re: 2017-18 NBA Regular Season Discussion

I think people are losing the plot a bit on Philly, similar to Minnesota last year. Ultimately that team at it's core is still a hodgepodge of guys that all get hurt a lot and I don't think this is the year they fully make the jump forward, though it wouldn't shock me. They've got a good team though and in the horrible East I definitely think it's possible, I just think I need to see how all these guys play together before I commit to them as playoffs, even over Detroit who I think really want to make it. I also think Atlanta is the worst team in the league but hey.

This is the first year everyone predicts Memphis to miss the playoffs I'm actually worried about it though the fact that we had the guts to do the right thing and bench Parsons gives me optimism. I think Tyreke is the key to the team. If he stays healthy the Grizzlies are a playoff team. But we're also relying on Tyreke to stay healthy which is troubling. Though I do think that Denver is getting way overrated, Millsap is great and all but that team still has a lot of holes. I think Murray is their best guard. Clippers I think take a dip down with overrated Blake as the leader too so I still have hope.

Re: 2017-18 NBA Regular Season Discussion

Yeah that's the question will the Sixers crew stay healthy enough to compete especially Embiid who when healthy is a monster and the Sixers organization said they'll cap his minutes to keep him getting injured, and let him roll harder later in the year. He hasn't had a full year of playing so the muscles are still getting used to playing all those minutes smart to cap him early on. IF that goes well, Fultz and Simmons do their thing we could get the 7th or 8th spot pretty easily. Last year the time was in alot of close games, hopefully they can turn the corner with that this year.

Yeah the injury for Hayward is sick to look at. He was going to be needed greatly if the Celtics were going to do some special things this year and that isn't happening this year. Leg Injuries in general usually take more than a year to come back and feel 100% percent, because for a good year you're working to get back on the Court, then it could take a year for you to feel good enough before the injury. Hayward is a great player in this league, and you don't know what will he look like when he returns if he's a shell of himself.

    2017-18 NBA Regular Season Discussion

Well, hopefully he can return after a year and not miss much of a step, similar to how Paul George did. It's just a shame that they seemingly finally really began to form a formidable team to take to Finals/face Cleveland and this happens.

I totally agree. Now The Cavs can Electric Slide all the way to the Finals again.

Man that was rough to see. I don't often feel bad for Boston sports fans, but dang. Hope Hayward can get right and come back at 100%.

Sounds like it's officially a fractured ankle.

If the Celts young guys can play like they did tonight I think they can still give the Cavs a run for their money. I can't see them beating them in a 7 game series, but they showed a lot of grit tonight without Hayward. Feel really bad for him. Fuck injuries man.

What an opening night, two dope games coming down to the last shot.

Shame about the injuries but if those two games are a sign of things to come it's gonna be a fun-ass season.
