Without doubt one of the best as a manager and an announcer. RIP Brain.

I had to re-watch his HOF speech and forgot just how brilliant it was, especially the bit about WWF and Wildlife

I have a plan so cunning......

    Re: Bobby Heenan Passed Away

I remember seeing recent photos of him and I felt really bad that he was suffering so much. He was an amazing talent. I may not have been alive to see his best work, but I remember coming across just one clip of his by accident (I believe it was of Prime Time wrestling, it was someone's birthday or something), and I just looked up as many clips as possible of The Brain. There has been no manager to ever come close to what he did. Rest in Peace, Bobby, I loved your work so much.

    Re: Bobby Heenan Passed Away

Sad news. 😞 My friend just told me on what's app. Wrestling has lost one of it's true greats. One of the greatest wrestling personalities ever. I watched the Warriors vs Heenan Family Survivor Series 89 match yesterday. Bobby Heenan wrestled in that match. Bobby Heenan is the greatest manager of all time and one of my best ever announcers. "Yeah but who's side is he on?" What a legend.

Royal Rumble 92 & WrestleMania 8 are my fave announced ppvs of all time. It was sad to see him in poor health for so many years. Thank you for the memories. RIP

This is a bummer but as others have said its good that he's not suffering anymore.

The first pieces of his commentary that popped into my head was the 92 Rumble and a match from WCW Saturday Night where Schiavone calls Jim Duggan an intelligent man and Bobby just laughs hysterically for the rest of the match. If you haven't seen that you should check it out as its gold.

    RIP Brain

    Re: Bobby Heenan Passes Away

I had the great pleasure of meeting Bobby at Wrestle Con this year in Orlando. I didn't go up to him and bother him, being that I didn't have any money to give him. We didn't even speak to each other, but we made eye contact, and I know he saw the smile that put on my face. I know that he knew how much of an impact he's had on my life in that moment, and it's a moment I'll never forget.

Bobby Heenan was quite possibly the greatest all around worker in the history of the business. If you don't agree, find a better manager, commentator, heater, seller, or anything else when it comes to getting other talents over. Everyone came out better for having been involved(with or against) Bobby Heenan.

That fucking killed me! I read it in their voices and imagined a great big, teary-eyed hug at the end. Whether you believe in an afterlife or not, it's good to know that this legend of a man is no longer suffering on a moment-by-moment basis. He meant so much, to so many and his influence will be felt forever in the wrestling business.

Jake Roberts may have been the man that sparked my initial interest in pro wrestling but Bobby played a big part in keeping me interested. He was so funny, so likeable-y hateable, and his chemistry with Gorilla was like nothing else and truly special.

One of the greatest of all time. Not just in wrestling, but in entertainment as well.
