Re: WWE 2017: War is Coming

    Monday Night Raw
    21/08/2017
    Brooklyn, New York

Raw opens with a smug looking Paul Heyman grinning from ear to ear standing alongside a visibly banged up Universal Champion Brock Lesnar. Heyman takes to the mic and tells the live WWE crowd that despite being in a corporately orchestrated 3 on 1 handicap match last night, Brock Lesnar left Summerslam the same way he entered. The reigning, defending, undisputed WWE Universal champion.

Heyman goes on to say that my client has permitted me to single out Braun Strowman for praise. Since my client came back to the WWE you Mr Strowman are the closest any man has or ever will come to conquering my beast. Heyman then drops the mic to his chest and has word with Lesnar. It appears like Heyman is trying to talk Lesnar out of something but the champ seems insistent. My client has also instructed me, against my best advice, to invite you Mr Strowman to…. Well as my client put it take another trip to suplex city at the upcoming No Mercy PPV.

This announcement got a huge pop from the crowd in Brooklyn and it wasn't long before Braun Strowman’s music hit and the monster among men made his way on down to the ring. Heyman stood in the ring with his head in his hand while Lesnar looked on with a sick smile on his face. Strowman got into the ring grabbed the mic out of Heyman’s hand and bellowed at the champion I ACCEPT. Both men then stared each other down as Raw went to commercial.

As Slater & Rhyno waited in the ring the Revival made their way out mics in hand. They began talking as they made their way down to the ring for their match.

They said they'd like to address a few things. Firstly about the comments being made that they are injury prone. They state that since moving up to the main roster they have been targeted by the other teams on the Raw roster because they see the Top Guys as a threat to their spots on the card.

They tell the crowd that they will no longer allow any team to take liberties with them in the ring and they promise that they will be more vicious in their pursuit of the Raw Tag Team Titles.

Dash and Dawson then address their opponents tonight, Heath Slater & Rhyno. They tell them they watched their fairy tale rise on Smackdown and they were neither impressed nor intimidated by them. Finally they said that after tonight's match Slater & Rhyno will wish they had never been drafted to Raw

    Tag Team Match
The Revival vs Heath Slater & Rhyno

    The Revival
stay true to their word and go after their opponents in a more vicious manner than we are used to seeing. They quickly take Rhyno out of the equation by delivering a modified Shatter Machine on the crowd barrier. Both men then go after Slater, making quick work of him with Dash pinning him after hitting him with the Shatter Machine.

    Winner via Pinfall: The Revival

The Intercontinental champion Miz makes his way down to the ring accompanied by his wife Maryse and his Miztourage. Miz gets on the mic and asks the people of Brooklyn if they enjoyed WWE Summerslam. He then says they would have enjoyed it far more if they had actually gotten to see their Intercontinental champion defend his title on one of the biggest shows of the year.

The Miz then shows pictures from various social media accounts of the live crowd he had to wrestle in front of during the opening match of the Summerslam Pre-Show. He says that Kurt Angle should be embarrassed that he sent his Intercontinental champion out to wrestle in front of a smaller crowd than you get in one of the Indy bingo hall shows. He then goes off on the fans for not getting to their seats on time to watch him wrestle. Instead they were probably standing in a queue at the merch table buying another grotesque John Cena t shirt or stuffing their faces at the food stands. He says the final insult of the whole thing was that he was forced to wrestle on the Pre-Show against the boring blue chip Jason Jordan and the Hardy Boyz who must be on their retirement tour after doing so many stupid stunts over the years instead of wrestling smart like him.

That last comment brought the Hardy Boyz down to ringside. Jeff laughs off the idea that they are on a retirement tour and claims there is plenty gas left in the tank and that he and Matt are far from OBSOLETE. Matt says that they could go on to create magic and wonder in the tag team division. He also says that his brother Jeff is a former Intercontinental champion and is quite capable of being champion again. He then says that he believes that Intercontinental title belt would look great sitting back at house Hardy with all his other title belts. Matt then asks, so which one of the Hardy Boyz would you like to come down to that ring and DELETE your Intercontinental title reign?

Before Miz can respond Curtis Axel talks down to both Hardys and says if they don’t watch their mouths that Bo and he will beat some respect into them.

Matt laughs and says make it so. A referee makes his way down to the ring and we have an impromptu tag team match

    Tag Team Match
The Hardy Boyz vs Bo Dallas & Curtis Axel w/ Miz & Maryse
The ever present threat of Miz and Maryse on the outside kept the Hardys on their toes for this match. A well timed distraction from Miz & Maryse allowed Dallas & Axel to take control of the match. The Miztourage looked to be on their way to victory with Bo & Jeff in the ring. Suddenly the lights go out in the arena and when they come up Bray Wyatt is face to face with Bo Dallas. Wyatt simply stands there shaking his head in an almost disapproving manner. The lights go out again but this time when they come up Bray and Bo are both gone from the ring leaving a confused Curtis Axel standing on the ring apron. The Miz tries to interject and help Axel by entering the match but confusion between himself, Axel & the referee allows the Hardys to capitalize on the situation Matt knocks Miz to the outside with Jeff nailing Axel with a twist of fate and pinning him for the win

Winner via Pinfall: The Hardy Boyz

Charly Caruso is backstage with Roman Reigns. She asks Reigns after last night’s devastating loss, what is next for Roman Reigns?.

Reigns responds by saying that whoever walks out of No Mercy as the Universal champion better be ready to defend it against him. Reigns is then interrupted by Finn Balor. Balor says after losing last night Reigns is the last man in line for a title match, in fact he should get to the back of the line. Balor says it’s time for him to get the shot at his title that he never lost.

Reigns laughs off the idea and says whether it’s Lesnar or Strowman, if you get the next shot it’ll be a massacre. He goes on to say that if Balor is looking for an ass whooping then he has a free night in his calendar and would be glad to dish one out.

Balor accepts and says that after he beats Reigns tonight he will be one step closer to getting back his Universal title and Roman Reigns will be firmly at the back of the line.

    WWE Raw Women’s Title Match
Sasha Banks (C) vs Alexa Bliss
Before the match begins with both competitors in the ring Emma makes her way out to the announce desk to do commentary on the match she states that whoever walks out of this match the Raw Women’s champion will have to deal with the pioneer of the Women’s Revolution.Bliss & Banks go at each other hard in the beginning. Bliss targets the left knee of Banks for the majority of the match. The champion however manages to fight through the pain and on her third attempt finally locks Bliss in the Bank statement in the middle of the ring. Bliss reluctantly taps out. At the end of the match with Banks standing tall with the title in her hand Emma tells the announce team i guess we know what is next for Emma.

Winner via Submission & STILL WWE Raw Women’s Champion: Sasha Banks

John Cena comes out next. He explains his free agent status to the crowd in Brooklyn. Basically due to his hectic schedule outside of the ring and his limited time left in the ring he will not be tied down to any one brand. John Cena goes where the competition is best and right now the competition he is after is right here on Monday Night Raw. He says so all that's left is to say if you're sitting back there and you want some then come get some

John Cena’s challenge is answered by the Samoan Submission Machine Samoa Joe. Both men go face to face in the middle of the ring before they both crack matching smiles and embrace like old friends reunited. Cena gets on the mic and says Oh y’all were not expecting that huh?. Cena goes on to explain that he and Joe go way back. They came up together in their younger days. Hell they trained together, travelled together, teamed together and then on a few occasions went to war with each other.

Joe then takes over saying that at a certain point John went one way and i went the other way. He found himself here in the WWE and became the face of the WWE for well over a decade. Having every WWE accolade imaginable.

Cena takes a mini bow and tells the WWE Universe that Joe went on to become one of the top guys who wasn't in WWE, he became a monster around the world and a champion wherever he went. Cena finishes by saying that he is so happy and proud that his friend has made it to the WWE.

Ye finally here says Joe. He laughs but then his demeanor becomes a bit more sombre. You know i remember being there when you got the call from WWE Joe said. I remember being so happy that my friend had accomplished his dream of making it to the WWE. You know that there were tough times while i was out in the wilderness. Long travel days, struggling for food, struggling for money and just every day contemplating giving up my dream.

When times were toughest you what got me through all that John? What got me through was watching my friend rising all the way up the WWE ladder and i knew that the struggle would be worth it because one day my phone would ring and it would be WWE. My friend would have stuck his neck out for me and gotten me a job alongside him.

Joe’s face went from sombre to rage quicker than a hiccup. Joe then stared a hole through Cena and simply said, but the call never came. Joe then dropped the mic and he and Cena exchanged words off mic. With Cena looking like he was trying to calm down Joe when suddenly Joe struck Cena and a brawl began. Both men fought in the ring until referees and officials ran down to separate both men. The referees pulled Cena back to the corner of the ring while the officials dragged Samoa Joe from the ring with Joe screaming at Cena, I’ve waited 15 years to do that you son of a bitch, i’m coming for you John !!

Backstage in the locker room, Finn Balor is getting ready for his match with Roman Reigns when he is approached by Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows. Anderson tell Balor they know he has been doing the whole solo thing since he got to the WWE but he should know that his brothers always have his back. Gallows follows up by saying should he need a helping hand in dealing with Roman Reigns all he has to do is ask. Anderson & Gallows throw up a two sweet for Balor but Balor says he can beat Roman Reigns on his own and doesn’t need any help. Balor then walks off.

    WWE Cruiserweight Title Match
Neville © vs Akira Tozawa w/ Titus O’Neil
Before the match begins Corey Graves announces that this week on 205 Live there will be a battle royal to determine the next challenger for the WWE Cruiserweight title at No Mercy. Tozawa goes at Neville with stiff kicks from the outset. From ringside O’Neil can be heard screaming encouragement to his client. All it took however was one mistake, one lapse in concentration and Neville was able to lock in his Rings of Saturn submission and force Tozawa to tap out.

Winner via Submission & STILL WWE Cruiserweight Champion: Neville

Backstage Emma enters Kurt Angle’s office who is standing with Bayley. She says that she has been ignored and underutilized despite her being the woman who started the entire Women’s Revolution. She demands a shot at Sasha Banks’s Raw Women’s title or she will be forced to go into negotiations with Smackdown Live as that is what she feels will be best for her career at this point. Before Kurt can respond Bayley tells Emma that here on Monday Night Raw title opportunities are earned and she may have started the Women’s revolution but she has done nothing since that proves she deserves a title shot. Kurt then tells both women the way we can settle this is next week Emma will go one on one with Bayley and the winner will face Sasha Banks at No Mercy

    Singles Match
    Finn Balor vs Roman Reigns

The match starts off as hard hitting as you’d expect with neither man pulling any punches. Early on as both men brawl on the outside, Reigns slams Balor shoulder first into the ring steps. Balor favours his shoulder for the rest of the match but soldiers on
. With Reigns looking on course to win the match Anderson & Gallows make their way to the ring. With Finn Balor down in the corner Reigns turns his attention to Anderson and Gallows who have begun to circle the ring. However Balor gets to his feet and starts ushering both men away. With Balor, Anderson & Gallows at the end of the entrance ramp they are greeted by Reigns as he flies over the top rope with a dive taking out all 3 men. Reigns throws Balor back in the ring but with the ref checking on Balors condition, Anderson & Gallows nail Reigns with the Magic Killer before rolling him back into the ring. Balor recovers and see Reigns lying in position for the Coup de Grace. Balor exchanges words with Anderson & Gallows but they innocently shrug their shoulders denying their involvement. Balor stares at a prone Reigns for a moment before hitting the Coup de Grace and pinning him for the win. After the match Anderson & Gallows get out of dodge while Balor reluctantly celebrates in the ring.

    Winner via Pinfall: Finn Balor

Before the main event Corey Graves invites the WWE fans to tune into Raw talk on the WWE network after Raw finishes as Scott Stanford will be joined by guests Finn Balor, Sasha Banks, Neville & the Miz.

Main EventWWE Raw Tag Team Title Match
Ambrose & Rollins (C) vs The Bar
With Ambrose & Rollins waiting in the ring for Cesaro & Sheamus they are attacked from behind by their opponents. The Bar send Ambrose to the outside and quickly set about Rollins trying to get a quick win. At the last minute Ambrose out of nowhere makes the save. The match continues as both teams go back and forth, each almost getting the win throughout the match, Eventually though after taking a lot of punishment Ambrose finally made the tag to Rollins who came in like a house of fire. This was the beginning of the end for The Bar as eventually Rollins would deliver the Kingslayer to Sheamus and get the win for his team.

Winners via Pinfall & STILL Raw Tag Team Champions: Seth Rollins & Dean Ambrose

They are not the only champions we will have here on the show tonight as the Intercontinental champion Miz will also be stopping by and our final guest will be the Demon King himself, Finn Balor. Oh and it looks like i’m going to have a co-host, ladies and gentlemen please welcome the Raw General Manager Kurt Angle

Kurt Angle: Thanks for having me Scott.

Stanford: Well first things first Kurt, is the Strowman Brock Lesnar match official?

Angle: Yes Braun Strowman will challenge Brock Lesnar for the Universal title. After watching the match on Sunday it was clear that Braun Strowman is a big main event player and he deserves a one on one shot at the Universal title.

Stanford: Well from what i saw it didn’t look like Mr Heyman was too pleased at his client offering The monster among men another shot at the title.

Angle: Well if you were in Paul Heyman’s position would you want your client facing Braun Strowman

Stanford: No probably not, well it looks like we are being joined by our first guest here on Raw talk, please welcome the Cruiserweight champion Neville. Congratulations on your title defense Neville. Now this coming Tuesday on 205 Live there is going to be a number one contenders battle royal. Is there anyone in particular you’d want to see win that match and face you at No Mercy

Neville: To brutally honest there is no one on the 205 roster who can touch me in terms of wrestling ability. So it really doesn’t matter who wins the outcome will be the same. I will retain my title and remain the forever reigning King of the Cruiserweights.

Angle: Now i was on Smackdown back in 2002 when the Cruiserweight division was stacked with talent like Rey Mysterio, Billy Kidman, Tajiri & Ultimo Dragon. How do you feel you would stack up against guys like that.

Neville: On their best day not one of them could touch me, not even the great Rey Mysterio.

Stanford: Strong words from you Neville, hey Kurt you might wanna give Rey a phone, I’m sure the WWE Universe would love to see a Neville vs Rey Mysterio match.

Neville: Yes I'm sure the WWE Universe would love to see another nostalgic act take the spot of truly deserving wrestlers. Now if you’ll excuse me gentlemen i have to go celebrate a successful title defense.

Stanford: As i said strong words from the champion, how would you see a Neville vs Mysterio match going Kurt?

Angle: I wrestled Rey a lot during my time here in the WWE i know what he is capable of and even at his age i’m sure he could give Neville a run for his money.

Miz: Gentlemen, gentlemen, gentlemen let us not talk about dream matches when the WWE right now is living the dream with me as its Intercontinental champion.

Stanford: Thank you for joining us Miz, always nice to see you and your lovely wife Maryse.

Axel: Is it not nice to see me Scott?

Stanford: Of course Curtis, umm i take it there is still no sign of Bo Dallas after your match this evening.

Miz: Unfortunately no and that's exactly why I’m here on Raw Talk to address the live kidnapping that took place on Raw tonight that no one seems to be doing anything about. I’ve had Curtis searching this whole arena all night looking for Bo and not a single member of staff helped him. I’m also here because I still haven’t been given an apology for making me, the Intercontinental champion, perform in front of a barren crowd at Summerslam.

Angle: Look Miz, the match order was out of my hands, Summerslam is one of the biggest shows of the year and it was just by coincidence you ended up where you did on the card. As for Bo we did have security looking for him but security camera footage showed him leaving the arena with Bray Wyatt and it appears from the footage that he left willingly

Miz: Oh it was coincidence was it?, i suppose it was just a coincidence that you never bothered your ass to book your Intercontinental champion into a high profile match instead of working a match against your boring blue chipper of a kid and the soon to be retired Hardys.

Angle: One more comment about my son and you’ll find your time here on Raw much more difficult under my regime. As for your request for better competition, i will sign you to a match at No Mercy where you will defend your Intercontinental championship against the winner of next week's beat the clock challenge matches and don’t worry i will make sure that all those involved are worthy of wrestling such a high profile superstar, such as yourself.

Miz drops his mic and angrily looks at Kurt before walking off with Maryse & Curtis Axel.

Stanford: Well uh thanks for joining us Miz, so beat the clock challenge? Who will be the participants Kurt?

Angle: Oh I’m keeping the participants names close to my chest. However i will tell you there will be 3 matches throughout next week. Whoever wins in the fastest time will receive an Intercontinental championship match at No Mercy.

Stanford: Well I’m sure that will be an interesting set of matches next week, along with Bayley versus Emma for the right to face Sasha Banks at…

Banks: Did someone say Sasha Banks?

Stanford: Welcome to Raw Talk the Raw Women’s champion, Sasha Banks. Sasha Kurt and I were just discussing the match next week between Emma and Bayley with the winner facing you at No Mercy, I gotta ask who would you rather face?

Banks: Well obviously Bayley is my girl and i would be happy to defend my title against my girl. We have went to war before and I’m sure a match at No Mercy between us would be another classic. Then we have Emma, who has been running her mouth about how she started the Women’s revolution. Well she may have started it but the Boss Sasha Banks has been leading the revolution since i got here. Whether it is having great matches night in night out or having first time ever women's matches or main eventing shows, the Boss has done it all i will continue to do so. If Emma wins next week she will have to bring her A game to take this title away from me. Now if you’ll excuse me gentlemen the Boss has a party to go to.

Stanford: Well Kurt, the Boss seems confident about retaining her title against any challenger.

Angle: She certainly does Scott.you need confidence if you’re gonna be a champion in the WWE. Walking around with a title is like having a big target on your back. She has to be careful though because too much confidence can be a dangerous thing. She can’t underestimate either Emma or Bayley. They both are championship material and i’m sure either women will give Sasha a tough challenge.

Balor: Hey guys am i too late to be on Raw Talk?

Stanford: No Finn not at all, welcome to Raw Talk. Now tonight you got a huge victory over Roman Reigns albeit a bit controversial.

Balor: I just wanna say to you Kurt i had no idea that Luke & Karl would get involved. I don’t know what they are trying to prove. I wanted to go one on one with Roman and prove i am the better man. So if you’ll allow it i would like to request a rematch against Roman Reigns at No Mercy.

Angle: Finn I understand your frustration at Karl and Luke and I’m sure you had nothing to do with their involvement. If you want a rematch with Roman Reigns at No Mercy i have no issue with signing that match.

Stanford: Well that's a bombshell right there, Roman Reigns will go one on one with Finn Balor at the No Mercy Pay Per View and well i can’t think of a better way to wrap up the show. Ladies and gentlemen this has been Raw Talk and we will see you next week.

Re: WWE 2017: War is Coming

    Smackdown Live
    22/08/2017Brooklyn, New York

Smackdown opens with its own highlights package from Summerslam. It ends with the Modern day Maharaja standing tall with the WWE title. As the camera pans into the arena there are a lot of boo’s and Nakamura chants as the reigning WWE champion Jinder Mahal, flanked by the Singh brothers, makes his way down to the ring.

Mahal gets on the mic and proclaims that once again he defied all the doubters and bigots in the WWE Universe and proved that he is the greatest WWE champion of all time. He says that tonight will be an even greater celebration than has ever been seen before. Mahal calls to the back and summons the Indian musicians to come down to the ring to start the celebrations. Just as they are about to begin Daniel Bryan’s music hits and he ushers the musicians backstage. This draws a loud Yes chant from the audience and the Singh brothers become irate and start getting in the face of Bryan as he enters the ring. Bryan calmly tells them to back off or they will be booking a one way flight back to India after tonight.

Bryan then addresses the WWE Champion. He says that he is disappointed that someone who seized upon a highly sought after opportunity for the WWE championship has then went on to be such a cowardly and dishonorable champion. Bryan says that the actions of Mahal during all of his championship matches has proven to him that he does not deserve the honor of representing Smackdown Live as champion.

Mahal buts in saying he does not represent Smackdown Live he represents the great nation of India. Bryan immediately shuts him down saying as long as you hold that title you are the face of Smackdown Live and our fans deserve a champion who can defend that title on his own. Bryan goes on to say that Mahal can redeem himself and prove he is a worthy and a fighting champion. Bryan announces that at Hell in a Cell Jinder Mahal will defend his title inside the Hell in a Cell against both of the men who he holds controversial wins over, Shinsuke Nakamura and Randy Orton.

At this point Sami Zayn makes his way down to the ring. He asks Bryan to give him an opportunity to enter this match. He says he is sick of how Mahal has been acting and says using your race as an excuse for why people dislike you when you carry yourself with no honor is disgraceful.

Before Bryan can respond the Lone Wolf Baron Corbin comes out. Corbin bluntly says he doesn't want an opportunity. He wants to be locked in that Cell and he will destroy anyone in his way and he will walk out the WWE champion.

Bryan says that tonight in the main event Baron Corbin will take on Sami Zayn and the winner will join the main event at Hell in a Cell making it a fatal 4 way. Before he leaves he announces that the Singh Brother would be in action also tonight against the team of Shinsuke Nakamura & Randy Orton.

After we return from a commercial break Aiden English is in the ring accompanied by a small orchestra. As The band begins to play and English starts to sing the familiar fire pyro of Kane erupts from the stage and the Big Red Machine makes his way down to the ring.

    Singles Match
    Aiden English vs Kane

As Kane enters the ring English quickly gets out of it. The members of English’s band were not so lucky as Kane chokeslammed two of them while the others got out of dodge. English then struck Kane from behind going after the knees of the big man. English would berate Kane during this assault about never getting to finish his performances. Mid attack Kane snaps out of the pain and launches English across the ring. Kane would eventually finish English with a devastating Chokeslam for the win.

    Winner via Pinfall: Kane

Backstage Daniel Bryan is in his office and in walks Chad Gable. Bryan says that he knows Chad has been a little lost on Smackdown Live since the departure of Jason Jordan. He offers him the chance to return to the tag team division tonight with a new partner. In walks Sin Cara. Bryan says you two were both NXT tag Team Champions and he thinks that together you can do big things in the Smackdown Live tag team division. He says tonight they will team up against the Ascension. Chad looks a bit befuddled but then says he’ll give it a shot. Bryan wishes them good luck as they leave the office together.

The Camera cuts to the parking lot of the arena as a Limo pulls up with the license plate Glorious1. Out steps former NXT champion Bobby Roode. The Glorious one shouts to a man off camera to grab his bags for him. Turns out he was shouting at Tye Dillinger.

Dillinger walks over to Roode and tells him he can get his own bags. Roode slips a $20 in Dillinger’s shirt pocket and says it’s not like he is doing anything. Roode laughs then walks off.

Back in the arena AJ Styles makes his way out for for the United States Open Challenge. The challenge is answered by former US champion Zack Ryder. As Ryder makes his way down the camera cuts backstage to a visibly unhappy Kevin Owens watching on a monitor backstage.

    United States Title Match
Aj Styles © vs Zack Ryder

Ryder quickly tries to take control of the match, catching the champ off guard. The crowd are right behind Ryder and he delivers the Broski boot in the corner to the face of Styles. Further on in the match with Ryder going for the elbow drop from the top rope, Kevin Owens comes from the crowd and knocks Ryder off the top rope, with Ryder crashing onto the ring apron and falling to the outside. Owens then picks up Aj Styles and delivers a Pop up Powerbomb to Styles. Owens then delivers a second Powerbomb and then covers Styles and screams at the ref to count it. After the ref counts a meaningless 3 count Owens grabs the United states title and walks off with it.

    Winner via DQ: Zack Ryder

The camera cuts backstage as Kevin Owens is storming through the backstage area. Dasha Fuentes tries to get a word with him but Owens blanks her and goes straight for his car and drives off.

The camera cuts back to Baron Corbin as he is getting ready for his match with Sami Zayn. He is approached by Kane who tries to give the young man some advice but Corbin blows him off and says he doesn’t take advice from has beens. Corbin then walks off.

Back from a commercial break the cameras are following Tye Dillinger as he approaches the locker room to find his bags and gear outside the the locker room in a mess. He storms in to find none other than Bobby Roode sitting in his spot in the locker room. Dillinger asks him what the hell he thinks he is doing throwing his stuff outside. Roode said his mistake he thought it was a bag for the charity shop since the clothes in them weren’t very nice looking. Roode apologizes and moves down the bench and allows Dillinger to sit down in his spot.

The cameras head back into the arena for the next match

    Tag Team Match
Chad Gable & Sin Cara vs the Ascension
Gable & Sin Cara appear to have communication problems from the beginning as they can’t decide which one of them will start the match which allows the Ascension to attack them both from behind.Toward the end of the match Gable makes a big comeback nailing 3 big German suplexes on Viktor. With his back turned to his own tag partner Sin Cara tags himself in. The two men argue which allows Viktor to tag in Konnor. Both Ascension members attack Gable & Sin Cara. Gable gets knocked to the outside in the process before The Ascension hit the Fall of Man on Sin Cara and get the win.

    Winners via Pinfall: The Ascension

After the match Gable comes to, realising the result and just walks off looking angry.

Backstage we see Shane McMahon walking around as he is approached by Dasha Fuentes. Dasha asks Shane if he feels Kevin Owens’s actions tonight were a result of Shane inserting himself in Owens’s feud with AJ Styles.

Shane responds that whatever grievance Kevin Owens has he can take it up with him next week on Smackdown Live

Up next is the Singh Brothers taking on Randy Orton & Shinsuke Nakamura. The Singh Brothers are accompanied by the WWE Champion Jinder Mahal who joins the commentary team.

    Tag Team Match
Randy Orton & Shinsuke Nakamura vs the Singh Brothers
This match was a one sided affair with Orton and Nakamura taking turns dispensing punishment on the Singh Brothers. Both Singhs were instrumental in costing both their opponents the WWE title. With Nakamura finishing off Sunil Singh, Mahal jumps up on the apron but is met by Orton who drags him into the ring and delivers the hangman's DDT. Nakamura then delivers the Kinshasa to Mahal before Orton RKO’s Sunil and pins him for the win.

Winners via Pinfall Randy Orton & Shinsuke Nakamura

The victorious pair stand in the ring together. Orton goes for an RKO but it’s blocked by Nakamura who goes for a kick to Orton’s head but the Viper manages to duck. Both men have a stand off to the cheering crowd before Orton exits the ring with a grin on his face.

The camera cuts back to Daniel Bryan’s office as he watches what just happened in the ring. Tye Dillinger walks in to discuss something with Bryan but before he can get started Bobby Roode barges in a brushes past Dillinger to introduce himself to Bryan. Dillinger angrily shoves Roode but before things can escalate Bryan gets in the middle. He says it's clear you two perhaps still have some ill feeling towards one another after your time in NXT. Well here on Smackdown Live we settle our differences in the ring and next week that's what you two will do when you have a match.

The camera cuts to a side by side shot of Zayn & Corbin as they are both heading out for their match from the backstage area.

    Main Event
    Singles Match
Winner Advances to the Main Event at Hell in a Cell

    Sami Zayn vs Baron Corbin

Corbin starts off hard hitting. He has something to prove after his loss to John Cena at Summerslam. The resilient Zayn to took a hell of a beating. Corbin wasn’t up for having a normal wrestling match it seemed as he dragged his opponent to the outside. Throwing him into the crowd barrier, ring apron and steel steps outside. Zayn however is a fighter and as tough as nails because after all the punishment he managed to fight back and overcome the odds. He nailed Corbin with is patented Helluva Kick and got the win.

    Winner via Pinfall: Sami Zayn

Smackdown closes with Zayn celebrating in the ring. Tom Phillips tells the audience to tune in the to Talking Smack coming up next on the WWE Network, with guests Sami Zayn, Chad Gable, Tye Dillinger & AJ Styles

Re: WWE 2017: War is Coming

    Talking Smack
    22/08/2017
Renee Young: Well here we are back again for another Talking Smack I am your host Renee Young alongside our wonderful General Manager Daniel Bryan. So Daniel I take it you saw the Raw main event announcement for No Mercy and decided you'd try and up the ante?

Bryan: Part of it is that i guess. Really though i just want to see Smackdown Live represented by a champion who fights with a bit more honor than our current champion Jinder Mahal hasn’t done that so far. I understand that being on top of the WWE mountain guys will do anything to stay there but at a certain point a champion has to fight alone and at Hell in a Cell Jinder will have to do that.

Young: Those Singh brothers have proven rather resourceful, they managed to get involved in the Punjabi Prison Match. What makes you think they won't get involved at Hell in a Cell.

Bryan: Oh the Singhs can get involved, but if they do Jinder will be stripped of the title on the spot and removed from the match. If Jinder wants to be the WWE Champion past Hell in a Cell he will have to learn how to defend that title alone.

Young : Well tonight here on Talking Smack we have some top guests coming on the show and i think we are about to be joined by the first one, please welco
me Chad Gable. You look a bit down hearted Chad, i'm guessing we won't be seeing you & Sin Cara teaming up again?

Gable: I mean nothing against Sin Cara but i just don't think we clicked as a team

Bryan: It was only just one match Chad, sometimes great tag teams take time to mesh.

Gable: I understand that Daniel but i just think that maybe i should go look for my own partner

Bryan: That could be one way we could go Chad but just give me another shot because i think i have the perfect partner in mind.

Gable: I trust you Daniel and i guess i'll trust in your decision whatever you decide. I suppose we will see next week what happens. see you guys next week

Young: I feel for Chad Gable, he came to Smackdown Live as one of the hottest Tag Teams in NXT and it just seems they team never really got a great run, i know they have a short lived tag title run but a lot of people saw American Alpha as a team that could have lead the tag team division for years to come

Bryan: I feel for him as well Renee that's why i'm trying to help him anyway i can. It was a difficult decision to let Jason Jordan leave for Raw but i really couldn't stop him reuniting with his father.

Young: Do you not think that Jordan would develop better away from the watchful eye of his father Kurt Angle, is there not the risk of a bit of nepotism when it comes to Jason Jordan on Raw with his father in charge of his career.

Bryan: To be honest Renee that was my argument for keeping him here but Jason & Kurt were both adamant that there was no risk of nepotism. Jason wants to prove he can climb the ladder in WWE by earning all his opportunities so i guess we'll just have to wait and see. I mean if next year come draft time if Jason Jordan isn't happy over on Raw i wouldn't be against bringing him back over to Smackdown Live.

Young: Well it looks like Talking Smack is about to get a perfect 10 rating because here comes Tye Dillinger to the show. Thanks for joining us Tye, so i take it you weren't happy to see Bobby Roode arrive here on Smackdown Live.

Dillinger: It wasn't a happy reunion, no. He's walked in and already he acts like he is better than everyone else. Daniel i just don't see why you want someone with his attitude here on Smackdown Live

Bryan: Look i knew as soon as i signed Bobby to Smackdown that he was going to rub people the wrong way but we are going head to head with Monday Night Raw every week on TV and every month on PPV. As much as he will grate certain people in the locker room he is a hell of a talent and i really didn't want to see Raw snap up another great talent. I know the two of you have had your history in NXT but next week you'll get the opportunity to knock Bobby down a peg when you face him one on one.

Dillinger: Knock him down a peg? Daniel you really don't know the kind of egomaniac you're dealing with. Bobby calls himself the Glorious one , but i know that beating him will put me right in the mix for better opportunities here on Smackdown Live and i intend on making his debut anything but Glorious. Now if you'll excuse me guys i've gotta hit the road for the next show.

Young: Well Bobby Roode making his debut on Smackdown Live next week against Tye Dillinger should be an interesting match. I could see a win for either superstar elevating them, possible into the conversation for a United States title opportunity. I'm sure Kevin Owens would have something to say about that had he not left the building earlier in the show.

Bryan: Kevin is just being very bitter and he is very angry. It's a dangerous combination for a wrestler, he sees everyone as against him and as the enemy. What he did tonight attacking AJ Styles and leaving with the title belt was out of order and i've spoken to Shane and there will be consequences for his actions next week.

AJ Styles: Oh i'll tell you what the consequences will be, Kevin Owens will be feeling a phenomenal forearm if he doesn't return my United States title to me next week

Young: Now Aj let's be calm here

Styles: Calm!, that son of a bitch attacked me and took my title belt, the title that i beat him for fair and square.

Bryan: Maybe AJ it was a mistake for me to get Shane involved as a referee in your match with Kevin because with the frame of mind Kevin is in it's just fueled the fire and this backlash is result of a poor decision on my part, but look i have an idea that will settle this and provided Kevin returns next week we should be able to sort this out.

Styles: Well if you and Shane don’t sort it, i'll sort it myself, MY WAY

    Styles then storms off

Young: Daniel how do you see this situation resolving itself?

Bryan: the only way it can be, inside the wrestling ring and after that we won't be seeing AJ & Kevin face off for the US title as long as the other is champion. We need a definitive end to this rivalry and at Hell in a Cell we will get one.

Young: Well speaking of Hell in a Cell, the main event is official The WWE title will be on the line inside the Cell as Jinder Mahal defends against Randy orton, Shinsuke Nakamura and our fourth and final guest Sami Zayn.

Zayn: Thanks for having me guys

Young: Sami you are going to go into a Hell in a Cell match with 3 other men with the WWE title on the line, have the nerves kicked in yet?

Zayn: I mean of course stepping inside the Hell in a Cell for the first time is a nerve racking experience, i've been in the ring with all 3 men before and i know what they are capable of but i feel that i have the advantage. Just because i'm sure i will be underestimated in this match because i haven't been in high profile matches as of late. This is my biggest opportunity in the WWE and i am going to grab it with both hands.

Bryan: Sami i just think you should be wary, it's Hell in a Cell and honestly i think Randy Orton is the biggest threat in that match to all involved. He is a veteran in this company and he has been inside Hell in a Cell before. He know what it takes to win that match and he knows the toll it takes on the body. You might think your opponents will underestimate you but you can't underestimate what that Cell can do to the human body. It will shorten your career and if you don't go in with a smart strategy you will lose.

Zayn: Oh trust me Daniel, i will have a strategy, i will be prepared and i will walk out of Hell in a Cell the new WWE Champion and I will be a champion that Smackdown Live can be proud of.

Young: Well with that i think we will wrap it up there, thanks for joining us here on Talking Smack and we will see you next time.

Re: WWE 2017: War is Coming

    NXT
    23/08/2017
    Full Sail University

NXT opens with a video from William Regal regarding the attacks by Adam Cole, Kyle O’Reilly & Bobby Fish at last weekend’s Takeover Brooklyn III. He calls the attacks disgraceful and for 3 wrestlers who spent so long in Ring of Honor it was not a very honorable beginning for the 3 of them here on NXT. Regal began to say more but static came across the screen and it cuts to a darkened room. Cole then comes front and centre on the screen flanked by Fish and O’Reilly. Cole says that Mr Regal should know that the three man standing here have no honor left. Cole says that they have not come to NXT to fight with honor or to further the NXT brand. They have come to NXT to bring Famine, Fish then says they have come to bring Pestilence, O’Reilly says they have come to bring Death then Cole says we have come to bring you a War. Cole pauses and looks at Fish then O’Reilly and then finishes by saying We are the Dishonored and War is coming.

The camera then cuts out and the next shot is of the Full Sail Crowd ready for another episode of NXT. The announcers welcome the viewers to the show. They comment on the arrival of Cole, Fish & O’Reilly and they speculate on what Adam Cole meant by War is coming.

Wesley Blake makes his way down to the ring. He goes one on one with the undefeated Aleister Black.

    Singles Match
    Aleister Black vs Wesley Blake
Blake and Black have a stand off in the middle of the ring. Blake circles his opponent, he tries to strike Black but every attempt is blocked by Black. Blake then goes for a big kick to Blacks chest but his leg is caught. Black swept the standing leg and with the other leg still held in hand he locked in a knee bar. Blake scrambled for the ropes and then dashed to the outside. The match would go on to end in similar fashion to all of Black’s matches with one Black Mass kick and a 3 count victory for Black.

    Winner via Pinfall: Aleister Black

After the match Black sits in the middle of the ring. Killian Dain, Nikki Cross & Alexander Wolfe then appear from three different spots in the crowd. Black doesn’t move until the three members of Sanity climb onto the apron. Wolfe tries to get into the ring first but Black springs at him forcing him to drop off the apron. Eric Young then makes his way down the entrance ramp and appears to call off his fellow Sanity members. He climbs up onto the apron and appears to only want to talk to Black. Young slowly climbs in the ring and says a few words to Black. However Black just shrugs him off and exits the ring. The rest of Sanity try to go after Black but Young stops them.

The commentators question what business Eric Young & Sanity could want with Aleister Black.

Backstage in William Regal’s office NXT Champion Drew McIntyre walks in. Regal cuts him off before he starts and says he understands that he is angry about what happened after his match at Takeover. He says Cole, Fish and O’Reilly will be dealt with. McIntyre says he doesn’t care about Fish & O’Reilly, they are just pawns, but Adam Cole is his and he wants a match against him. Regal says Cole’s actions don’t merit a match with the NXT champion. Regal also says he cannot risk the health and well being of the NXT champion in a match with the like of Adam Cole. Regal says next week there will be a four way elimination match between Andrade Almas, Hideo Itami, Roderick Strong & Kassius Ohno to determine the new number one contender for the NXT title. Regal says McIntyre should get a good seat for the main event as those 4 men will be in action against each other in a tag team match tonight, Roderick Strong & Kassius Ohno vs Andrade Almas & Hideo Itami. McIntyre then walks off looking dissatisfied.

Out next are the Iconic Duo for tag team action. They take on fellow Aussies and Mae Young Classic competitors, Dakota Kai & Rhea Ripley

    Tag Team Match
Peyton Royce & Billie Kay vs Dakota Kai & Rhea Ripley
Before the match starts the Iconic duo get on the mic and start berating the two Aussie wrestlers for being a wanna be Peyton Royce and Billie Kay. Kai & Ripley didn’t seem to be in the mood for talking as they went after their opponents knocking them out of the ring. The match officially gets under way with Royce and Kay isolating Kai from her tag team partner. Kai would fight on through the pain and eventually make the tag to her partner Ripley, who looked so impressive as she battled both Kay & Royce while her partner recovered. With Ripley in the ring with Kay, Dakota Kai would recover and burst into the ring and hit a huge boot to the face of Peyton Royce who was standing on the apron. Ripley then hit Kay with Solefood and covered her for the shock win.

Winners via Pinfall: Dakota Kai & Rhea Ripley

The NXT newcomers quickly get out of the ring and celebrate up the ramp. They share a hug as their hands are raised by the referee while Royce & Kay look on in anger from the ring.

Backstage Aleister Black is sitting alone in a darkened corner of the arena. He is approached by Eric young who is alone. Young tells Black he must of heard Adam Cole’s declaration of War, Young says he believes Cole that a war is coming. He asks Black when the war begins what side will Black declare allegiance for ?

Black responds by saying that he doesn’t concern himself with the wars of lesser men. If war comes to NXT he will defend himself against anyone who tries to harm him, regardless of what side they claim to fight for. Black then walks off.

The commentators get the audience hyped up for the main event between the participants of the number one contenders match next week.

    Tag Team Match
Hideo Itami & Andrade Almas w/ Zelina Vega vs Kassius Ohno & Roderick Strong

The match is a hard hitting affair from the off with no one holding back. Whoever wins would clearly have a confidence boost going into the number one contenders match next week. Both teams go at it and with Almas & Itami closing in on victory Cole, Fish & O’Reilly storm the ring. First the three invaders go after Almas & Itami laying both men out and sending them to the outside. The three invaders then go face to face with Ohno & Strong but instead of coming to blows they extend their hands to Ohno and Strong in a gesture of friendship. Ohno & Strong seem hesitant and Ohno ends up leaving the ring first. Strong lingers for a while but then eventually leaves. Cole, Fish & O’Reilly don’t look disappointed they smile and walk off. They exit through the crowd as security finally rush the ringside area. William Regal exchanges word with Ohno on the ramp. He tries to talk to Strong but he just walks off and heads backstage as the show ends.

Winners via Disqualification: Hideo Itami & Andrade Almas

Re: WWE 2017: War is Coming

Hey!! Read your first week of shows, but figured it made sense to review NXT!!

    - Cole, Fish and O'Reilly cutting a SHIELD promo made me laugh, don't know why, but I'm excited to see where you take the team.

    -BLAKE!!

    - Typical Aleister squash.

    - SAnitY BEATDOWN.....Or not, interesting move.

    - Damn, Regal thinks highly of Cole if he can't even risk McIntyre having a match with him.

    - 4 Way elimination sounds pretty sweet. 4 solid challengers.

    - Kai and Ripley with the upset. Good introduction.

    - Young trying to recruit Black seems strange considering his team wants to take him out, seems like they would be on the same page.

    - The heels get the dq victory!?!? Haha a neat twist.

    - Undisputed trying to recruit I don't agree with, the three of them are good enough, but it is what it is. I'd add Ohno of the two.

A solid first show, and week for that matter! Looking forward to more. Interested to see where you take NXT, for obvious reasons
