Pundits know better than to knock the Pats down until a loss becomes a trend. No reason for anyone to panic yet. Nothing surprising.

Pundits are hit or miss. Some years they predict a mediocre at best year, then they end up being a SB winning team.

But I get your point, although on a power list, being one of the only teams that lost and lost by a decent amount and had a lot of things happen to them that hadn't in years (Some even an entire generation), still being at 3? I think 5-6 would be more fair.

Yeah I wouldn't put them in that spot top 10 for sure. Still I can't wait for Chiefs vs Eagles the storyline of Reid gave him the OC Job which lead him to being the Eagles Coach, and Peterson played under Reid just before McNabb came into town. The Teacher vs The Student Match-up let's see if either guy pulls some tricks off, we are going need to with that Defense of theirs.

Vikings vs Steelers, and Falcons vs Packers are amazing games to look out for this Sunday as well.

Honestly, I can see Falcons coming back and at least doing well and winning a playoff game. Unlike Broncos and Panthers who completely fell apart after the SB, and have been crap since...Falcons have done really good keeping and building. Matty Ice will get a ring or two, for sure.

The real question is..before they retire, will Brees and Rodgers get another? They are no doubt two of the greatest. I'd say it's a pretty safe bet to say Rodgers is the most talented and skilled QB in the nfl. Brady may be "Better", but he's a complete system QB who has had far more loaded teams and much better coaching. And Brees is really just amazing.

Man I hope the Titans bounce back from that loss against the Raiders. The Jaguars look like a tough team with the way they handled the Texans on the road, but the Titans needs to win this game.

The amount of injuries, suspensions, and lack of much additional talent the Texans have, coupled with their QB situation..

Yeah, they aren't going anywhere this season, sadly.

Jaguars did good, all things considered, but are far from playoff caliber.

Titans are a work in progress, though they do have Murray, who is spectacular.

It's indeed a working progress. It's only the first game of the season for the Titans. Dick LeBeau will work the defense hard, the offense will improve, there's no worries for the Titans unless they get blown out.

A work in progress is good, though.

Cowboys spent many years, each off season working on building that offensive line that has become so great. Zeke Elliot was just a really great and lucky pick, and same with Dak. The work now is on the defensive end, and it's just looking like a puzzle really coming together. A Superbowl may be a ways off still, but it's a work in progress towards building a team that is capable of a dynasty. Which is the best way to do it.

Seeing other teams work towards similar goals and long term makes me happy, too. New competition, new top teams, new talent. Just great stuff.

Yo what happened to the Bengals? Both great Defenses, but for real Dalton you got out played by the Rook Watson shame on you.

Eh, DeShaun honestly is probably a better athlete, anyway.

    Dalton sucks.

For sure, but this could of been a good spot for Dalton to ride the Ship in the right direction and that didn't happen tonight. Did you see that Watt hit to end the game?

Yeah, Watt is just an absolute monster. He's one of the best to play his position, and despite being on a pretty lackluster team, always is in the media and highlight reels.

Sadly, I think by the time Texans reach Superbowl potential, he will be retired. But who knows? DeShaun looks good...The teams building. Guess we'll see.

Re: 2017 NFL Season Thread - Week 2: Krispy Kareem

What is up with Andy Dalton¿ He turned the ball over five times in week 1 and only made slight improvement in Week 2 against the Texans, but with no touchdowns. IMO AJ McCarron should take the helm as starter instead of Dalton. Seriously, Dalton has all these weapons: Green, Ross, Eifert, LaFell, Mixon, etc., to throw the ball too. If he can't win with the wide receivers and running backs around him, he might as well sit on the bench and let McCarron take over.

Well, there really aren't many redeeming qualities to the Bengals.

I mean, Burfict is pretty good...But 90% of the time, he just cheap shots and headhunts. So fuck that guy.

I despise Burfict for the way he plays the game. The guy's dirty as dirty gets by taking brutal hits to players and injure them. He's a dangerous player, and I thought Suh and Harrison were dirty players. Burfict takes the cake.

    They are bad, too.

But I honestly don't think Burfict should even be allowed to play anymore. It's an every season thing, and he's had numerous suspensions.

From what I can tell, that O-line turned into last year's Vikes line, which is a fate I would never wish upon any team.

Marv's got those Mike Brown nudes though so he's keeping his job forever. That offensive line is literally offensive and anyone that thinks McCarron would do a better job behind it is delusional.

Re: 2017 NFL Season Thread - Week 2: Krispy Kareem

Congrats The Chiefs today beating my Eagles, but honestly Reid find a better QB whether in the Offseason or in the Draft. Smith is downright horrible if you take away Kelce's dominance in the first Quarter and then later in the Fourth dude was no where to found. Hunt even though my Eagles kept him in check overall outside of maybe two big chunk of runs/pass catches had. Defense is the fuel for the Chiefs I believe we had 2-3 Turnovers that lead to points every single Chiefs cashing in those points.

At least Jeffery and Wentz started to get some chemistry together as his chemistry with Ertz is getting better and better. Too bad our Defense broke down at the worse moments when he meant so much in the 4th Quarter might of been a different outcome. Next week it's time to smack around Opie and the Giants at the Linc please.
