Is that why you pretty much just post selfies of yourself on FB?

I smoke a bowl or so a few nights a week, but I don't see that as an issue.

Enjoying myself tonight, then planning on a beer break and switching off with protein shakes. lol

Going to try and see what I can max out.

Anyone have any flex shots they are proud of?

I got some really good ones earlier, but I'm not sure how to post something from my phone's camera when it asks for the URL, lol.

Just upload it from your phone to a site like Tinypic or facebook even, then right click, copy image address, then put that in the URL. :P

I've been doing this for , 11, going on 12 years, was always slightly toned and in shape with somewhat of a six pack, bit being 6'1 and slim, protein shakes really gave me the extra boost I needed to actually start seeing some really great results lol.

Yeah I don't see how weed , other than giving you the munchies, would hinder a person from being able to get in shape.

That sounds awesome. I remember being like 15 and emailing Lance Storm on how to bulk up and prepare for wrestling school. He actually did reply tho its been ages and I dont remember what it was. I always imagine me and my 130 poubds going into a wrestling school looking like im 16 and people laughing their asses off.

I talked with Alex Shelley for a while about wrestling school. Never ended up biting the bullet.

I talk with Donavan Dijak occasionally (friends with him and Keith Lee on FB), and he recommended the school in Mass that he trains at..Also were Sasha trained.

Alas, despite being something I'm pretty good at (Or at least I am at shoot wrestling and amateur), it's a big out of the picture being a dad.

Had my 5k today. Went great. Did my best time. Ive started hitting up the treadmill at school and its a different experience. Not nearly as fun as outdoor running.

    Very nice, Jon.

While not as impressive, for someone who has done almost no form of cardio besides a few jogs last fall (All under half mile, just around the block.), I did a pretty decent amount tonight.

My car's starter is shot, and I wanted some beers and was bored...So...Jogged the 1.5 miles to the store, then walked the 1.5 miles back.

It's not much, but I'm pretty happy about it.

Movement is movement it'll all help in the long run. I'm due to weigh in and measure up again today...not feeling too confident for some reason but we shall see.

Tbh. Thats about the distance I did my 1st day (not ever having done cardio, and not much exercise since high school grad about 5 years ago). Just over 2 miles. Pretty sure you could probably do the same distance in a week or two if you cared to.

On an unrelated note. And probably irrelevant to the topic. Went Vegan for fun.

Not irrelevant at all, I touched on diet earlier but I'd class myself as flexitarian at this point, and if I'm out I gravitate towards the vegan options more than anything.

    Re: Bodybuilding and Fitness

Missed my weigh in time due to the kids wanting to do park run pesky kids. Will have to do it tomorrow instead. I'm full of a sinus infection at the moment so haven't done a great deal past 3/4 days which will no doubt hinder my progress, but no point pushing things when ill.

    Re: Bodybuilding and Fitness

I figure I'll try and at least do a 30 minuet walk a day, jog once or twice a week like that to ease into it.

Edit: I did about 40 minuets of walking today, and my shins are killing me. Mostly just from yesterday, and mostly due to the massive leap from sedentary to going over a mile on uneven terrain and some uphill. Think I've got a mild case of shin splints, which is pretty embarrassing for day 2 of a cardio regime, so I'm going to just do some other form of cardio for a bit.

I guess given that I always just lifted, skateboarded, swam, biked, played football, etc...I never realized how easy it is to get some damage from running. lol

    Re: Bodybuilding and Fitness

I want to get into weightlifting but for a suoer skinny ectomorph like me its not easy. Also I dont need to be judged at a gym. I just see me through their eyes and judge myself e_e anyways. Main connundrum is just not knowing how or what to work out :/ id like to alternate it with cardio days. Tho from what im reading thisll make actual weight gains possibly non existent.

    Re: Bodybuilding and Fitness

My workmate is doing another competition this weekend haha. From what he tells me it's better to bulk then shred than to do anything else. You'll still need to do light cardio until you're in the second phase but you really do need to find what works for you.
