The Chelsea result wont' really do much harm, unless Atletico win out and they drop points against Quarabag. That draw between Atletico and Qarabag basically doomed Atletico.

like phillip hammond and unemployed people, i refuse to recognise any goal scored by PSG tonight.

if it works for him, it works for me.

nobody realistically expects us to compete with PSG so it's fine with me, really

doesn't matter what neymar does anyway, cunt still fucks his sister.

Cursed it there haha. Pathetic second half performance. Need to avoid defeat against CSKA next time out just to get through.

Goddammit United. A United win today and a CSKA win earlier in the day would have given CSKA a chance to advance. And that helps with Russia's coefficients, which helps when I manage in Russia on Football Manager. So Jose fucked me. He fucked FM Papa and I am the sads.

So Barca or PSG... we meet again!!

Would be surprised if we got Besiktas... but it will be one of those three for us in second round.

Atletico drop into Europa, and could be joined by Napoli, Dortmund & Leipzig tomorrow!!!

Man Utd win their group yet could face Bayern, Juventus or Real Madrid in the last 16 makes no real difference if you finish first or second this year huh?

Happens some years. Look at last year when Arsenal finally won their group and who did they draw? Bayern.

LOL Our coach definitely wants a new 8-0 it seems. Tolga Zengin, Necip Uysal, Mustafa Pektemek are all in the starting XI. If Leipzig can't wreck us tonight they should never play in Champions League again.

Re: Champions League 2017/18 Discussion Thread

Liverpool rampant. Spurs efficient. City not as strong in depth as they are their first XI

    Bayern, Juve, Real, PSG, Barca

It will be a miracle for the English 5 to avoid all 5 of those. But it can be done.

    Predictions:

    Chelsea - Barcelona
    United - Bayern
    Liverpool - Juventus
    Spurs - Porto
    City - Basel
    PSG - Real Madrid
    Besiktas - Sevilla
    Roma - Shakhtar

The draw is going to be full of fun and games isn't it...I can't wait for it.

For what it's worth, here's the potential draw for each English team.

Manchester United (Group A winners): Bayern Munich, Juventus, Sevilla, Shakhtar Donetsk, Porto, Real Madrid.
Chelsea (Group C runners-up): Paris St-Germain, Barcelona, Besiktas.
Liverpool (Group E winners): Basel, Bayern Munich, Juventus, Shakhtar Donetsk, Porto, Real Madrid
Manchester City (Group F winners): Basel, Bayern Munich, Juventus, Sevilla, Porto, Real Madrid.
Tottenham (Group H winners): Basel, Bayern Munich, Juventus, Sevilla, Shakhtar Donetsk, Porto.

Re: Champions League 2017/18 Discussion Thread

Some interesting finishes in the group stage this year. Benfica doing absolutely atrocious isn't something many predicted - they were likely to be a step down from previous years because of the players they sold, but 0 points is....just sad. Atletico Madrid dropped to the Europa League kinda fits with how their season has gone this year. Sharkhtar finishing second in that group was a pretty solid accomplishment, as Napoli have been very good. Disappointing from both Monaco and Leipzig in Group G, but full props to Besiktas - they have been brilliant. And in Group H, we have Dortmund scraping into the Europa League on goal difference, without a win. What a fucking shit season they've turned out to have.
