Happy that we got a point. Will check out the highlights later on tonight. Wenger needs to select a strong team when we play Chelsea again next week in the League Cup.

    WOO HOO

Huge win for Albion today, before the game it had the feeling of 'must win or you're going down' and they were right up for the challenge. Best atmosphere I've heard in years too from the fans. Some big performances today and we've got that killer touch on set pieces again. The thing that concerns me is that I don't see us investing in the team this month when we're crying out for a bit of a quality up front, but we really aren't a million miles away from being a good premier league team again and I'm starting to believe they can survive. 5 clean sheets in 10 games for King Pards now, more than Pulis had all season despite playing defensively; it's way more enjoyable to watch us now.

Brighton are nothing more than a Championship team, and along with Huddersfield I think they're both gonna have a struggle in the 2nd half of the season. The title race is over, but this could be the craziest relegation battle ever because any from Watford in 10th could go down.

I think Brighton and Huddersfield are both in danger of being one of those Championship teams that have a good start because it's all exciting and new and then they just fall off a cliff in the second half of the season. I think Brighton will be ok because Hughton will grind out results. Huddersfield I'd still pick to go down.

If we could finish we'd have won by half time, if the referee was any good we'd have been down to 10 and given a penalty before halftime. Still not a great result though.

This Jay Rodriguez allegation thing seems bizarre, looks to me like Jay gave him the ‘your breathe stinks’ diss because he’s pinching his nose and Bong gets rattled by it. Would be very surprised if it’s found jay said something racist.

What a shocker, when teams attack City's back 4, they unfold. I'm not cheering Liverpool here but they are showing that you have to actually attack to beat City.

In fairness De Gea was awfully criticised in his first season for United. One bad game for Ederson but he might come to be a world beater in the future.

Very true. It takes time to adapt, Ederson has done well so far. But he was awful this game.

Now City have got that loss out the way they can go on another decent run now right.....the league is still theirs to lose aferall...even if Man Utd beat Stoke tomorrow night, it's still a 12 point gap.

The greatest comeback in Premier League history starts tomorrow night chaps.

That Liverpool attack scare me when they're in that sort of form. Few errors at the back for City but they still almost came back

Re: Premier League 2017/18 Discussion Thread

Top 4 was gone a long time ago but after today’s result, any slim hopes of catching our rivals up are gone. We lost to struggling Bournemouth. It’s over, 8th points off 4th place. Our disastrous season continues. Poor team selection. Wenger has done nothing to build up Lacazette’s confidence. Laca started the season well but Wenger broke his confidence. Benched for some big games, usually gets subbed off. Sanchez didn’t play and it looks like his Arsenal career is over. Wenger confirmed that Sanchez’s future will be decided in the next 48 hours. I’d rather Alexis go to Man City, Liverpool or Chelsea than Man Utd. For a second time we are selling our best player to one of our major rivals.

Until Wenger and Kroenke go we will never move forward, the club has been going backwards for years, time for a change. Rebuilding process should have started last year but when will it start? The clubs ambitions are changing, it was first a top 4 finish. Now it looks like they want a top half finish then the following season the goal will be to stay in the PL with the way how things are going. I’m just now patiently waiting for Wenger to leave. Any other club would sack their manager in the morning. Zidane’s won 2 CL titles as a manager and Real Madrid are 16 points behind Barca in La Liga. The Real Madrid owners won’t waste any time and will most likely get rid of him by the end of the season but Arsene Wenger is untouchable. The board continues to stand by him. I wonder how many games we have to lose for Wenger to be sacked.

Happy that Liverpool ended Man City’s unbeaten run which saves Arsenal’s invincibles record.

    THE STREAK IS OVER BOYS!

So happy we managed to hold on to the end of that match. When City scored to make it 4-2 I was worried it was gonna be another typical Liverpool performance where we throw away a guaranteed win but thank fuck we held on to the end. Joint 3rd with Chelsea and Man U now hopefully we can push on from this and help Push arsenal away from the Champo league spots even more.

Speaking of Arsenal man what a shambles of a performance today. No way should Bournemouth have been allowed to get the two goals they did. Arsenal should have been more than able to handle them defensively. Sanchez and Ozil both looking like they are off too (either now or at the end of the season) means Wenger will need to dig deep or face years of catching up to the chasing pack (like we had to do).

I have pretty much nothing to say about the Bournemouth match. Flat out fucking repetition at this point.

Liverpool-City was exciting as hell. Great entertainment. Nice to see Oxlaide-Chamberlain perform well and grab a goal.

As someone mentioned above, Liverpool's attack is scary good. That pace and ability is almost unstoppable and those finishes were top-notch. When City pulled it back to 4-3, I thought for sure the 4-4 draw was incoming and City's invincible streak would still be in tact, but glad that Liverpool held on for the 3 points because they deserved them after that display.

Worryingly as a United fan, I feel like Liverpool are only 2 or 3 signings away from competing with City for Premier League titles. They definitely need a top-class GK, maybe another defender and another midfielder if Can leaves, which seems probable (that's accounting for Keita coming in next summer also).

Would be fucking awful if City and Liverpool are the best two teams in the country.

    And he scores goals...!

Liverpool are so exciting to watch. Mane Bobby Mo. Scary when they're on. Another big win for us on Sat pulls us further away from the relegation fight. Moyesy is doing fairly well, I must admit.

King Pards can get a clean sheet at Anfield though. Pep should give him a ring for some tips!

Arsenal looked painfully average yesterday. I expect them to lose points when they're playing the other top 5 teams, and games where being out muscled against a weaker team because they weren't up for the battle (like say Troy Deenay bullying their center halfs in the Watford game) isn't a massive shock, but to get out-footballed by easy on the eye but defensively poor Bournemouth, yeesh, that's the one team they should never lose a game against.
