Bit of advice for you - and for anybody else that is starting a BTB. This opening post looks lame. I've not even read it. It looks as if you've rushed it and my first instinct is to ignore it because it'll not last longer than five minutes. Nobody expects you to be s**t-hot with the formatting off the bat but at least familiarise yourself with the basic formatting tools you can use on here and make the post look as if you're taking it seriously. Have a look round the site at some of the long lasting BTB and look at how you can make your show look good. Your opening post here conveys a message that this is going to be awful, short - or probably both.

This is just a starting point to get things rolling. I didn't want to just start with a show. I thought it needed a bit of info on why and how the company got started. The roster, schedule, and other info will be posted today in preparation for the first show in Wednesday.

Don't listen to him, he's gone through more bookers than I have fingers and toes. But, I do agree with GCB - give it some flavor. Make it pop and stand out a bit! You don't have to go above and beyond, but give it something to stand out and attract the eyes of the reader. You'll find it aids you too with keeping track of things, etc. Best of luck!

Thanks, I tried to add some more color to the text and some images, but the page kept glitching and freezing up so I just left it as is.

    Re: Championship Wrestling Federation

    Tak,

Some people on BTB's think graphics and/or color add to the presentation of a BTB. That's a personal choice issue and there's nothing wrong with it.

If you look at my BTB (World Class Wrestling*), you'll see it's straight black and white. My layout is a riff on the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

I'm not a big graphics guy myself. At the end of the day, it's the written content that really matters. Great graphics are nice, but do not make up for poorly written shows and on some BTB Forums that's what you'll largely find.

Of all the BTB Forums I've looked at over the years, this site has the consistently best written output I've seen. Stuff is really well detailed and thought out from what I've read and many do have nice graphics.

But give me good, solid writing over bells and whistles every time.

    Good luck writing your BTB.

    CWF Showdown
    August 9, 2017

The show opened with a camera shot of the ring with Triple H standing in it. A single spotlight was shining on the owner of the CWF as he stared into the camera and welcomed everyone to the Championship Wrestling Federation. The crowd cheered as the camera panned around the arena, then cut to the opening video package.

A short opening video aired, showing some of the superstars that have made the move to the CWF, accompanied by the CWF Showdown theme song, "Burn it to the Ground" by Nickelback. The video showed the likes of Kevin Owens, AJ Styles, Randy Orton, Dean Ambrose, The Miz, The New Day, Alexa Bliss, Mickie James, Ted DiBiase, and Rusev. After the video, the camera returned to Triple H in the ring.

Triple H said this was the dawn of a new era in professional wrestling. He said it was a fresh start for some superstars and a chance to prove themselves on a new platform. The crowd cheered. Triple H then said that tonight, we would crown the first ever CWF World Heavyweight Champion with an 8 man tournament. He said that before things get started, he wanted to introduce the team that would call the action. He then introduced the color commentator, Jerry "The King" Lawler. Jerry Lawler made his way out to the announce table as the crowd cheered loudly. Triple H then announced the man that would call all the action, the former voice of WCW, Tony Schiavone. The crowd erupted as Tony Schiavone walked out and made his way to the announce table as well. With the announcers in place, Triple H then said it was time to introduce the man in charge of the show. He said that the General Manager of the CWF was someone who had held multiple World Championships, a member of the WWE Hall of Fame, and one of the biggest names in wrestling. He said the man was not just a legend but an icon, in fact he was THE ICON. Triple H then introduced Sting as the General Manager.

The crowd erupted and jumped to their feet as Sting made his way out to the ring. Dressed in a suit, with sunglasses on, Sting took the mic from Triple H. Sting said he wanted to thank everyone for the great welcome. He said he looked forward to giving all the fans the best show possible and that it would start tonight with the 8 man tournament for the CWF Championship. Sting said the tournament would begin NEXT!

    (Commercial Break)

Back from the break, Tony Schiavone and Jerry Lawler went over the 8 man tournament. Schiavone said history will be made as the first CWF World Heavyweight Champion will be crowned tonight. Lawler said it's a big night for the company and an even bigger night for the 8 men involved in the tournament. Schiavone said the first match was about to begin.

    CWF World Heavyweight Championship Tournament
    First Round Match
Kevin Owens defeated Randy Orton in 12:47 by pinfall. During the match, Orton set Owens up for the reverse backbreaker, but Owens escaped and hit Orton with a low blow unseen by the referee. Owens then hit Orton with the PopUp Powerbomb for the win. After the match, Tony Schiavone said that Owens was the first man to advance in the tournament, but the way he did it was unbecoming of a champion. Lawler said that Owens wants to win by any means necessary and that's exactly what he did.

Backstage, Renee Young was standing by with Ted DiBiase. Renee asked DiBiase how he felt coming into tongiht after taking such an extended break from wrestling. DiBiase said that he felt great being back and that he was looking forward to getting back in the ring and becoming the CWF Champion.

    (Commercial Break)

Back from the break, at ringside Tony Schiavone said that Ted DiBiase had a lot of potential but had stepped away from the ring several years ago to spend time with his family. He said that he wondered how DiBiase would perform after being away that long. Jerry Lawler said that while it had been a while since DiBiase competed, he knew that Ted was super talented and he didn't think there would be any trouble getting back into things.

    CWF World Heavyweight Championship Tournament
    First Round Match
Ted DiBiase defeated Rusev in 10:25 by pinfall. During the match, both men looked to have things under control. The end of the match came when Lana tried to interfere on behalf of Rusev by trying to throw her shoe in the ring. She overthrew it, causing Rusev to lose focus, allowing DiBiase to hit him with Dream Street for the win. After the match, Tony Schiavone said that it looked like DiBiase had no problems readjusting to being in the ring, and now he would move on to the semi finals. Lawler said that he thought DiBiase might have a chance to win it all.

Backstage, CWF Owner Triple H and CWF General Manager Sting were shown as they discussed the the other titles that would be introduced into the CWF. Sting said that he would have an answer for Tiple H next week regarding the other championships.

Also backstage, Renee Young was standing by with AJ Styles. Renee asked Styles what his strategy was in a tournament setting like this. Styles said that he planned to just go out there and do what he does best. He said you had to pace yourself with the possibilty of wrestling three times in one night, but that he was prepared to do so to become the champion.

From ringside, Tony Schiavone said the First Round would continue after the break with Dean Ambrose taking on the The Miz.

    (Commercial Break)

    CWF World Heavyweight Championship Tournament
    First Round Match
Dean Ambrose defeated The Miz in 8:14 by pinfall. During the match, Miz attempted to hit the Skull Crushing Finale, but Ambrose reversed it and hit Miz with Dirty Deeds for the win. After the match, Tony Schiavone said that with the win, Ambrose would now face Ted DiBiase in the semi finals of the tournament. Lawler said that should be a great match later tonight.

Backstage, Renee Young was standing by with Kevin Owens. Renee asked Owens who he wanted to face in the semi finals of the tournament, Bray Wyatt or AJ Styles. Owens said that it didn't matter who won because he was going to win it all anyway. He said no one in this tournament is capable of beating him, and at the end of the night, he would be standing in the ring as the CWF World Heavyweight Champion.

At ringside, Tony Schiavone said that Owens was confident but he couldn't be proud of how he advanced to the semi finals earlier tonght against Randy Orton. Lawler said that he didn't like it but it got the job done, and that was all that matters on a night like this. Schiavone then said the final first round match was coming up after the break.

    (Commercial Break)

    CWF World Heavyweight Championship Tournament
    First Round Match
AJ Styles defeated Bray Wyatt in 11:54 by pinfall. After the match, AJ celebrated in the ring while Bray slowly walked back up the ramp yelling that it wasn't over. At ringside, Tony Schiavone said that the semi finals were now set, and only four men now had a chance to become the first CWF World Heavyweight Champion. Lawler said that the action had been great so far, and it would continue to get even better.

Backstage, Renee Young was joined by Dean Ambrose. Renee asked Ambrose about his match coming up against Ted DiBiase. Ambrose said that he liked DiBiase and was glad that he had returned to wrestling. He said that despite that, he was going to have to do what he had to do in order to get to the finals and win the CWF Title.

At ringside, Schiavone and Lawler went over the semi final matches in the tournament. Schiavone said that it would be Ambrose vs. DiBiase and AJ Styles vs. Kevin Owens. Lawler said that he was ready to see who would emerge as the new champion, and that he could see any of the four being the man to wear the gold. Schiavone said that the first semi final match was up next.

    (Commercial Break)

Back from the break, General Manager Sting was shown in his office while on the phone with someone. Sting said that he had just talked with the newest member of the CWF roster and that he couldn't wait until he made his presence felt.

At ringside, Schiavone wondered who Sting could be talking about. Lawler said that he was also intrigued and hoped that whoever it was, showed up sooner rather than later because he couldn't take the anticipation.

    CWF World Heavyweight Championship Tournament
    Semi Final Match
Kevin Owens defeated AJ Styles in 14:23 by pinfall. During the match, the ref was accidentally taken out after Styles ducked an attempted clothesline by Owens. Styles hit Owens with the Pele kick, then set him up for the Styles Clash. Before he could hit it, the lights in the arena went out, and when they came back on, the Wyatt Family had surrounded the ring. Styles went after Harper and Rowan, but was caught by Bray Wyatt with Sister Abigail. The lights went back out, then came back on with the Wyatt Family gone. Owens picked up Styles and hit him with the PopUp Powerbomb just as the ref got back up and made the three count. After the match, Schiavone said that Owens got lucky and that had it not been for the Wyatts, Styles would be advancing. Lawler said that Bray told Styles it wasn't over, and apparently he meant it.

Backstage, Ted DiBiase was shown preparing for his upcoming match. In a split screen, Dean Ambrose was shown getting ready as well. Tony Schiavone said that one of these two men will face Kevin Owens later tonight for the CWF World Heavyweight Championship. He said we'll find out who it is, NEXT!

    (Commercial Break)

Back from the break, Tony Schiavone said that there were just two matches left before we knew who the first CWF World Champion would be. Lawler said that Kevin Owens was already in the finals, now it was time to find out who would join him there.

    CWF World Heavyweight Championship Tournament
    Semi Final Match
Ted DiBiase defeated Dean Ambrose in 16:58 by pinfall. In yet another competetive match, both men scored several near falls. As the two battled, Maryse ran down to the ring and jumped on the apron, causing both the ref and DiBiase to turn their attention toward her. While they were distracted, The Miz entered the ring through the crowd and hit Ambrose with the Skull Crushing Finale. Miz escaped back through the crowd and Maryse jumped off the apron. DiBiase turned around to find a groggy Ambrose getting back to his feet. DiBiase hit him with Dream Street for the win.

At ringside, Tony Schiavone said that the finals were set to be Kevin Owens vs Ted DiBiase for the CWF Championship. He said that Ambrose had been screwed, but DiBiase had no idea what happened. Lawler said that the finals should be good.

    (Commercial Break)

Back from the break, Tony Schiavone and Jerry Lawler recapped the night's tournament and how we arrived at the finals. The recap showed Kevin Owens' controverial wins over both Randy Orton and AJ Styles, and then showed Ted DiBiase defeating Rusev and Dean Ambrose on his way to the finals. Schiavone then announced that next week, CWF Showdown would occupy it's regular two hour slot instead of the special three hour show being presented tonight. Schiavone that it was time to find out who the first CWF Champion would be.

    CWF World Heavyweight Championship Tournament
    Final Match
Kevin Owens defeated Ted DiBiase in 19:43 by pinfall to win the CWF World Heavyweight Championship. During the match, it was back and forth between both men. Near the end of the match, DiBiase set up Owens for Dream Street but Owens fought out of it. The two traded blows before DiBiase took the advantage. DiBiase bounced off the ropes looking to take Owens down, however Owens caught DiBiase with the PopUp Powerbomb for the win. After the match, Owens was handed the title, which he held up in the air as the crowd booed. DiBiase struggled to get to his feet and approached Owens. DiBiase extended his hand to congratulate Owens. Owens went to shake DiBiase's hand, but then blasted DiBiase in the head with the belt, busting DiBiase's head open. Owens then threw DiBiase out of the ring and powerbombed him against the apron of the ring. Referees arrived to check on DiBiase, as Owens got back in the ring to celebrate. As he held the title up in the air, the lights in the arena went out. The big screen lit up and played a message. It said:

In 2007. A New Dream awakened

In 2009, A Legacy was established

In 2011, A Dashing rebirth occurred

In 2014, A Star left them all in the Dust

You've seen him before, you know his name.

Years of being held back have brought forth a new attitude.

He's no longer Dashing, it's no longer Wrtten in the Stars

    The Dream is over

    THE AMERICAN NIGHTMARE is born.

    Cody Rhodes Arrives Next Week.

The crowd erupted as they saw the final words. The announers talked about Cody Rhodes arriving next week, and how big of a signing this was for the CWF. Owens stood in the ring staring at the screen, still displaying Rhodes' name. The show ended with the crowd chanting, "Cody! Cody! Cody!" The show ended with a shot of Owens staring at the screen with a concerned look on his face as the screen continued to display the name of Cody Rhodes

    BREAKING NEWS:

During this past Wednesday's edition of CWF Showdown, Ted DiBiase was attacked by Kevin Owens after their CWF World Title match. Reports are surfacing that DiBiase was injured during the assault. The Wrestling Observer has learned that DiBiase was taken to a local medical facility after the show where he was treated and released. We are told that DiBiase suffered a concussion and bruised ribs as a result of the assault by Owens. There is no word on how long DiBiase may be out of action due to these injuries. We hope to have more on this story as it develops.

    CWF Showdown Preview

Last week saw the crowning of a new CWF World Champion. Kevin Owens won the 8 man tournament to become the first champion, but his celebration was cut short with the announcement of the arrival of "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes. What will Owens have to say about Rhodes, and what are Cody's intentions in the CWF?

During last weeks tournament, Ted DiBiase had a stellar showing, advancing to the finals. Though he came up short in the final match, DiBiase proved that he had no ring rust after being away for several years. However, a post match attack by Kevin Owens has left DiBiase injured. What is the severity of DiBiase's injuries?

CWF General Manager Sting has stated that he will announce the introduction of several other championships into the CWF this week. What titles wll Sting debut, and how will the champions be decided?

Find out the answers to these questions and much more tomorrow night on CWF Showdown!

    Re: Championship Wrestling Federation

    CWF Showdown
    August 16, 2017

The show opened with a recap video of last week's World Title tournament. It showed the eventual final participants Kevin Owens and Ted DiBiase's journey to the finals. It showed Owens getting controversial wins over Orton and Styles, while DiBiase defeated Rusev and Dean Ambrose. It showed the final match with DiBiase in control until he got caught with the PopUp Powerbomb, giving Kevin Owens the win and the title. It also showed the aftermath of the match, where DiBiase attempted to shake Owens' hand, only for Owens to blast DiBiase with the title then powerbomb him on the apron. The video then transitioned to the final moments of last week's show when the announcement was made that Cody Rhodes had arrived in the CWF. The video ended with Owens staring at the screen with Rhodes' name displayed.

The Showdown opening then played, followed by a live shot of the crowd as Tony Schiavone and Jerry Lawler welcomed everyone to the show. Schiavone said that after a great debut last week, the CWF was in full swing tonight. Lawler said that Kevin Owens should be the happiest man on the roster but that the impeding arrival of Cody Rhodes put a damper on Owens' celebration.

Kevin Owens' music began blaring in the arena as the crowd began to boo heavily. Owens walked out onto the stage proudly displaying his CWF World Title. Owens made his way to the ring. Tony Schiavone said that Owens probably had a lot on his mind tonight.

In the ring, Kevin Owens said that everyone in the arena should feel blessed to have him as the very first CWF Champion. He said he showed everyone why he is the best and that there was not a single person in the locker room that could step up to him. He said he was the new measuring stick in professional wrestling and that everyone had better get used to it. The crowd then began chanting the name of Cody Rhodes. Owens said that he wasn't impressed last week with the announcement that Cody Rhodes was coming to the CWF, and that he wasn't at all concerned about the so called American Nightmare. Owens said that he runs this company and there was nothing anyone could do about it.

Cody Rhodes walked out onto the stage for the first time, making his CWF debut. The crowd cheered as Rhodes soaked in the response from the fans. Tony Schiavone said that Cody Rhodes may very well have been the hottest free agent in wrestling, having won the ROH Championship a couple months ago. Rhodes entered the ring with mic in hand. Rhodes looked at Owens, then stared at the title. Rhodes said that for a year he had been making the rounds in every promotion he could find to prove he was a top tier talent in professional wrestling. He said when he heard that Triple H was running his own company, he knew it was the place he had to be. Rhodes said he was here for one thing, to be the best, and to do that, he needed to be the CWF Champion. Rhodes then challenged Owens to a title match tonight. Owens laughed and said no one just walks in and demands a title shot on their first night. He said title shots had to be earned, and that just because Cody was the son of Dusty Rhodes, it doesn't give Cody the right to demand a shot. Rhodes said that Owens was right and that he had worked hard to prove that he wasn't going to use his father's name to get anything, rather he would earn it on his own merit. Owens said that's all well and good but his chance of getting a title shot tonight were just like Cody's dad, dead and buried. Rhodes snapped at the comment about his dad and attacked Owens, nailing him several times before Owens escaped from the ring.

General Manager Sting walked out on the stage and said that Owens should be disgusted with himself for making such a remark about Dusty Rhodes. He said that with that, he can't just give Cody a title match tonight, but he coud book him in a match where if he wins, he will get a title shot at Heatwave. He said tonight it will be Cody Rhodes vs CWF Champion Kevin Owens. Rhodes smiled as Owens yelled at Sting.

    (Commercial Break)

Back from the break, the announcers talked about the main event made by Sting earlier. Tony Schiavone said that Cody Rhodes had a chance to control his own destiny tonight. Lawler said Owens wasn't happy but he'd just have to get over it. Schiavone then said it was time for the first match of the night.

The New Day defeated The World's Greatest Tag Team in 8:43 by pinfall.
The end of the match came when Big E pinned Charlie Haas after the Big Ending. During the match, Tony Schiavone announced that CWF General Manager Sting had confirmed that there will be a Tag Team Gauntlet match at Heatwave to crown the first CWF Tag Team Champions.

Backstage, Renee Young was standing by with CWF General Manager Sting. Renee asked Sting about the introduction of another championship into the CWF. Sting said that at Heatwave there would be a new CWF United States Champion. He said at Heatwave there would be a four man mini tournament. Sting then announced the four men in the tournament would be The Miz, AJ Styles, Dean Ambrose, and Bray Wyatt. He also announced that tonight, those four men would compete in a tag team match with Bray Wyatt and The Miz teaming to face Dean Ambrose and AJ Styles.

A promo aired announcing the impeding arrival of Drew McIntyre. The video showed clips of McIntyre in action with a voice over that said "The Chosen One is Coming".

    (Commercial Break)

Back from the break, a clip was shown from last week showing Ted DiBiase being attacked by Kevin Owens after their title match. It showed DiBiase being hit with the title and powerbombed on the apron of the ring. After the clip, Tony Schiavone announced that Ted DiBiase suffered a concussion and bruised ribs after the post match assault by Kevin Owens last week. He says that DiBiase will be out of action for a few weeks, but they hope to see him back soon.

Backstage, Renee Young was standing by with The Miz and Maryse. Renee asked Miz about his interference last week in Dean Ambrose's match, the US Title Tournament, and tonight's tag match. Miz said that Dean Ambrose cost him his chance to be World Champion, so he made sure that Ambrose had no chance of winning either. Miz said that the US Title was going to be his, and he would win at all costs. He said tonight, he and Bray would destroy Ambrose and Styles because no one can handle the A Lister.

Alexa Bliss defeated Emma in 7:29 by pinfall.
The end of the match saw Bliss hit Emma with Twisted Bliss for the win.

After the match, Bliss said that she was the number one woman on any and every roster there has ever been, and that Triple H and Sting should just hand her the Women's Championship and save everyone some time. CWF General Manager Sting appeared on the screen and said that he liked Bliss' confidence but no one is handed anything in this company. He said if Bliss wanted to be Women's Champion, she would have to earn it at Heatwave. He then announced a Fourway Elimination match at Heatwave with Alexa Bliss, Mickie James, Paige, and Emma for the Women's Championship. Bliss looked disgusted and said that if that was how Sting wanted to play things, she would play along. She said at Heatwave, she would be the first Women's Champion.

Backstage, Renee Young was standing by with Dean Ambrose and AJ Styles. Renee asked both men about the US Title tournament and tonight's tag match. Ambrose said that tonight he was looking forward to getting Miz in the ring tonight after what happened last week. He said he and AJ were going to wipe the floor with the movie star and the so called prophet. Styles said he owed Bray a receipt for costing him his match last week, and he didn't mind getting a little piece of Miz as well. Styles then said he was looking forward to the US Title tournament at Heatwave, and that it could come down to him and Ambrose. Ambrose looked at Styles and said that would be something, then walked away.

    (Commercial Break)

Back from break, Tony Schiavone said that the tag team match of Ambrose & Styles vs Miz and Wyatt was up next. He then announced that next week, the CWF would host it's first edition of MizTV, and that Miz's guests would be Dean Ambrose, Bray Wyatt, and AJ Styles. Lawler said that should make for an explosive first edition of MizTV.

The Miz and Bray Wyatt defeated Dean Ambrose and AJ Styles in 15:12 by pinfall when Wyatt pinned Ambrose after Sister Abigail.
During the match, Maryse provided the distraction allowing Wyatt to hit Ambrose with Sister Abigail. After the match, The Wyatt Family appeared and attacked AJ Styles, leaving him laid out in the ring with Bray standing over him.

A video then aired announcing that Cesaro was headed to the CWF. The video showed Cesaro performing the Cesaro Swing with the crowd counting the rotations. After the video, Tony Schiavone said that Cesaro was currently sidelined with an injury, but would be making his debut soon.

Backstage, Kevin Owens was shown on the phone. Owens told the person on the phone that he wasn't worried about facing Cody Rhodes. He said that he could take care of it, and that he "will not need help tonight".

    (Commercial Break)

Back from the break, Tony Schiavone said that he was curious who Kevin Owens was talking to on the phone. He then said that Owens was being a little too confident heading in to this big match with Cody Rhodes. Lawler said that Owens had better take Rhodes seriously if he wanted to not have to defend his title against Rhodes.

Cody Rhodes defeated Kevin Owens in 17:43 by pinfall after Cross Rhodes.
During the match, Owens went for the PopUp Powerbomb but Rhodes reversed it, and slipped down behind Owens. Rhodes then hit Cross Rhodes for the win. After the match, Rhodes celebrated his win in the ring while Owens backed up the ramp clutching his title. From ringside, Tony Schiavone said that Rhodes will now get a title shot against Owens at Heatwave. The show ended as Rhodes continue to celebrate his win in the ring.

    CWF Showdown Preview

Last week, Cody Rhodes defeated Kevin Owens to earn a CWF World Championship match at CWF Heatwave. How will Owens respond knowing he has to put his title on the line against The American Nightmare, and what will Rhodes have in store for Owens?

CWF General Manager Sting announced a mini tournament to crown the first ever CWF United States Champion. The four men involved, AJ Styles, Dean Ambrose, Bray Wyatt, and The Miz will all be in the ring at the same time as The Miz hosts the first CWF edition of MizTV. What will happen with these four men in the ring together?

A Tag Team Gauntlet will take place at Heatwave for the Tag Titles. With every team looking to get the early advantage, which team will have momentum on their side?

Alexa Bliss believes she is the only woman deserving of being CWF Women's Champion. CWF General Manager Sting doesn't quite believe that as he set up a Fatal Fourway Elimination match at Heatwave to crown the first champion. Who will come out of Showdown as the favorite to win it all?

CWF Showdown comes to you live tomorrow night!

    Re: Championship Wrestling Federation

    CWF Showdown
    August 23, 2017

The show opened with a recap of last week's main event, showing Cody Rhodes defeat Kevin Owens to earn a CWF World Title shot at Heatwave.

Instead of the regular Showdown opening video, we were shown a live shot of the arena as the ring had been setup for MizTV. From ringside, Tony Schiavone said that we were about to witness the first CWF edition of MizTV. Lawler said he never liked MizTV before, and he didn't think it would change in the CWF.

    MizTV
The Miz made his way to the ring accompanied by Maryse. They both entered the ring and sat down as Miz grabbed a mic. Miz welcomed everyone to the most must see show in the CWF hosted by the only A Lister this company will ever see. Miz then said it was time to bring out his guests, the men he would be defeating on Sunday to become the United States Champion. Dean Ambrose made his way out, followed by AJ Styles, and finally Bray Wyatt. The Miz said that he didn't see the point but that each man could state their case. AJ Styles said that he was the best wrestler in the world today and he would walk out of Heatwave as the US Champion. Ambrose said that while he may not be known as the best wrestler, there wasn't anyone in the ring willing to risk what he will to win the title. Bray said that it doesn't matter what anyone says because he walks with powers that no one could ever imagine, and he will leave Heatwave with the title by any means necessary. MIz said that all three men are delusional because the only person worthy of being the US Champion is the A Lister, and there's only one of them in the ring, and that's him.

The four began arguing with each other in the ring, prompting GM Sting to appear on the screen. Sting said all four men have a great chance to win this Sunday. Sting said he was going to give them all a chance to prove themselves tonight in a fatal fourway match. The four men stared at each other as the crowd cheered in anticipation of the match. Sting then said that the match would take place NEXT!

    (Commercial Break)

Back from the break, from ringside Tony Schiavone said that the fatal fourway made by Sting before the commercial was just about to get underway. Lawler said that this match will provide some extra momentum for the winner heading into Heatwave this Sunday.

Dean Ambrose defeated AJ Styles, Bray Wyatt and The Miz in 14:24 by pinfall when he pinned The Miz after Dirty Deeds.
During the match, Styles hit the Styles Clash on Miz but Ambrose threw Styles out of the ring and pinned Miz. After the match, Ambrose and Styles stared at each other. Tony Schiavone said that we could be seeing the potential US Title match this Sunday with Ambrose and Styles.

Backstage, Renee Young was standing by with Mickie James. Renee asked Mickie about the Fatal Fourway for the Women's Championship at Heatwave, and about her upcoming match against Paige. Mickie said that she was looking forward to the match on Sunday for two reasons, one was to become the Women's Champion, and the other was to shut Alexa Bliss up. Mickie said that she was confident in her ability and that tonight, she would show why she was still the woman to beat in professional wrestling.

At ringside, Tony Schiavone and Jerry Lawler talked about CWF World Tag Team Title Gauntlet match this Sunday at Heatwave. Schiavone said that there were some hungry teams looking to win the gold. Lawler said that one team could have to face every other team on Sunday night to win the match and the titles, which could be very difficult.

    (Commercial Break)

Back from the break, another video aired, showing the impending arrival of Drew McIntyre to the CWF. It showed McIntyre in action, focusing on his Future Shock DDT. A voice over said that "The Chosen One is Coming".

At ringside, Schiavone and Lawler talked about McIntyre's upcoming arrival. Schiavone said this was just another example of Triple H and Sting bringing the best talent in wrestling to the CWF. Lawler said McIntyre had a lot of potential and that he couldn't wait to see him in action again.

Tyler Breeze defeated Charlie Haas in 9:47 by pinfall after the Unprettier.
After the match, Shelton Benjamin attacked Breeze until Fandango made the save. The two teams began brawling, leading to Luke Harper and Erick Rowan entering the ring. Benjamin, Haas, Harper, and Rowan teamed up on Breezango until The New Day ran out to help. The New Day and Breezango stood in the ring while the other two teams retreated.

From ringside, Tony Schiavone and Jerry Lawler talked about the arrival of Cody Rhodes last week, and his win over Kevin Owens, earning Rhodes a CWF World Title shot at Heatwave. Schiavone said that Kevin Owens was furious over the situation and had protested to Sting about the match. Lawler said that the protest had fallen on deaf ears because the match would happen this Sunday. Schiavone then said after the break, we would hear from the number one contender, Cody Rhodes.

    (Commercial Break)

Back from the break, Cody Rhodes' music began playing and Rhodes made his way out onto the stage. The crowd cheered as Rhodes made his way to the ring. Rhodes said that while he has competed in pro wrestling for 10 years, he has never gotten the chance to show what he could really do. He said that 1 year ago, he chose to leave the WWE so that he could fulfil a promise he made to his father years ago, and that was to be a World Champion. Rhodes said that he won the ROH World Title, but wasn't satisfied just holding that title, he wanted to prove it on a bigger scale. He said he got the call from Triple H about the CWF, breaking away from WWE, and knew it was his chance to show that he could indeed hang with the big names in wrestling. He said this Sunday, he was going to achieve his dream and defeat Kevin Owens and become the CWF World Heavyweight Champion.

"I Hear Voices In My Head..."

The crowd erupted as Randy Orton walked out and made his way to the ring. Orton entered the ring and shook Cody's hand. Orton said that for years he has watched Cody grow into a superstar and he knew all along that one day Cody would stand on top of the mountain as the World Heavyweight Champion. Rhodes said that he wanted to thank Orton for everything he did for him early in his career, and that he would repay Orton with a title shot soon after he wins this Sunday. Orton said that he looked forward to watching Cody take the brass ring and smash that glass ceiling on his way to becoming the champion.

Unexpectedly, Kevin Owens walked out onto the stage. Owens said that he just couldn't take all this sappy crap anymore and that both men are forgetting that Cody has to beat him to become Champion, and that isn't going to happen. Owens said that this Sunday, he was going to show everyone that Cody Rhodes doesn't belong in the same ring with Kevin Owens, and that the dream Cody has will be just that, a dream. Rhodes said that he beat Owens last week, and he will do it again this Sunday. Owens said that Rhodes got lucky and can't do it again. Randy Orton said that all he hears from Owens is talk, so why doesn't he just get in the ring right now and we'll see if it was a fluke last week when he lost to Cody. Owens said that it looked like Cody's babysitter was trying to defend him, but he forgot one thing. Owens said that you should always have eyes in the back of your head.

Suddenly, Rusev attacked Orton from behind. Rhodes tried to help but was attacked by Owens. The four men brawled until GM Sting appeared on the stage, and ordered them to stop. Sting said that tonight, it looked like a tag team match was necessary, pitting Rusev and Owens against Orton and Rhodes. Rhodes and Orton challenged Owens and Rusev to come back for more, but Owens and Rusev left the ring and went backstage. From ringside, Tony Schiavone said that was a huge main event just six days away from Heatwave.

    (Commercial Break)

Back from the break, Schiavone and Lawler gave an update on Cesaro. Schiavone said that Cesaro was still dealing with an injury, delaying his debut in the CWF. Lawler said that it was unfortunate that Cesaro couldn't be here yet, but he would be ready soon.

Also at ringside, Schiavone and Lawler welcomed Alexa Bliss to the commentary table. Schiavone said that Bliss would join them for commentary on the next match, featuring two of the four women in the Women's Title match this Sunday.

Mickie James defeated Paige in 8:09 by pinfall after the Mickie-DT.
The finish of the match saw Paige attempting to hit the Rampaige on Mickie, only for Mickie to escape and hit Paige with the Mickie-DT for the ring. During the match, Alexa Bliss provided commentary. Bliss said that it was just a formality that she has to compete this Sunday to win the Women's Title because she is the best woman on this roster, or any roster. She said that no one deserved to be champion except for her. After the match, Alexa Bliss stood on top of the announce table and had a stare down with Mickie James. Bliss signaled that she would soon be wearing gold around her waist.

Backstage, Kevin Owens was shown talking with someone wearing all black with a hood over his face. Owens seemed pleased with the conversation and shook hands with the man before leaving to join Rusev to talk about their upcoming tag team match.

From ringside, Tony Schiavone said that the main event of Showdown was coming up next.

    (Commercial Break)

Back from the break, Tony Schiavone and Jerry Lawler were shown at ringside as they went over the card for this Sunday's Heatwave, which includes:
Kevin Owens (c) vs. Cody Rhodes for the CWF World Heavyweight Championship
The Miz vs. Dean Ambrose in a First Round match of the US Title Tournament
Bray Wyatt vs. AJ Styles in a First Round match of the US Title Tournament
Miz/Ambrose vs. Wyatt/Styles for the CWF United States Championship
Mickie James vs. Emma vs. Paige vs. Alexa Bliss in a Fatal Fourway for the CWF Women's Championship
Tag Team Gauntlet Match for the CWF World Tag Team Championships

Kevin Owens & Rusev defeated Cody Rhodes & Randy Orton in 16:47 by pinfall when Owens pinned Orton after the PopUp Powerbomb.
During the match, Owens seemed to want nothing to do with Cody Rhodes as he refused to enter the ring when Rhodes was the legal man. The end of the match came when Rhodes took Rusev out on the outside, but while the ref was distracted in the ring, a mystery man dressed in black attacked Rhodes on the outside. The mystery man rammed Rhodes' head in the ring post. With Rhodes out, Rusev and Owens double teamed Orton, leading to Owens hitting the PopUp Powerbomb for the win. After the match, the mystery man entered the ring and assisted Owens and Rusev in a post match assault of Randy Orton. Cody Rhodes struggled back to his feet and entered the ring to help Orton, causing the three men to leave the ring. The show ended as Rhodes checked on Orton while Owens smiled on the stage holding his title in the air, celebrating with Rusev and the mystery man. From ringside, Tony Schiavone said that Owens and his mystery man had gotten one over on Cody Rhodes tonight. Schiavone then wondered what this would mean for Heatwave this Sunday.

    Re: Championship Wrestling Federation

Definitely a different way to start a created fed. Filled with WWE guys and some REALLY big names at that is not really what I would expect. Despite the lack of realism though, I'm more than happy to give this thread a try. In the early shows, you seem to have a firm grasp on how to book and I look forward to seeing how feuds really begin to develop once you've stabilised your champions.

At this stage, your Owens/Rhodes feud has been the stand out just because it has actually felt like a feud, whereas all the other title fights just feel thrown together. You probably should have left yourself more than two shows before your first PPV.

Six matches on a PPV card is a pretty small card but that means longer matches, which in my eyes, is a good thing. I'm not quite sure if I'm supposed to leave predictions yet or whether more matches will be announced before the event.

You're off to an okay start but as I said, once you've got your champions sorted, you need to work on building some feuds. I'll make sure to check back in and see how this progresses, good luck.

    CWF HEATWAVE PREVIEW

    The Heat is on!

Kevin Owens became the first CWF Champion, but the celebration didn't last long as Cody Rhodes crashed Owens' party. Rhodes staked his claim early as the first challenger to Owens' newly won title, and the two are set to do battle at Heatwave. But as we saw on Showdown, Owens has a new friend in his camp. Will the mystery man get involved in the main event match? Can Cody Rhodes achieve his goal of being champion, or will Owens continue his reign?

The United States Championship will be on the line in a four man tournament to crown the first champion. Dean Ambrose, Bray Wyatt, AJ Styles, and The Miz will battle it out to take home the gold. Which of the four will be standing tall when the dust settles?

The women of CWF have their chance to be a champion. Four women will step into the ring with one goal in mind, walk out as the CWF Women's Champion. Which of the four will emerge as the champion at the end of the night?

The Tag Titles are up for grabs as every team in CWF do battle in a gauntlet match. Who will get the luck of the draw, and which team will reign supreme?

CWF Heatwave comes to you live tonight on Pay Per View!
