    Re: Championship Wrestling Federation

    CWF Heatwave
    August 27, 2017

The show opened with a recap of the events leading up to tonight's show. It showed Kevin Owens winning the CWF World Title, then the announcement of Cody Rhodes' arrival, followed by Rhodes defeating Owens to earn a title shot, and finally of the attack by Owens. Rusev, and the mystery man on Rhodes and Randy Orton on the last Showdown. The video also showed the buildup for the US Title, Women's Title, and Tag Title matches tonight.

Following the opening video, a live shot of the arena was shown as pyro exploded near the stage. The camera panned the crowd as Tony Schiavone and Jerry Lawler welcomed everyone to the first Pay Per View in CWF history. Schiavone said that tonight would see the crowning of at least 3 new champions, and would the see the World Tile defended as well. Lawler said that it was a night full of action and he couldn't wait to get things started. Schiavone said that the night would kick off with the first of two first round matches in the US Title Tournament.

    CWF United States Championship
    First Round Match

The Miz defeated Dean Ambrose in 14:34 by pinfall with the Skull Crushing Finale.

During the match, Maryse attempted several times to interfere on behalf of Miz, however Ambrose was able to avoid the distractions. The end of the match saw Miz distract the ref as Maryse was able to spray Ambrose in the face with hair spray. A blinded Ambrose was then hit with the Skull Crushing Finale for the win.

At ringside, Tony Schiavone said that it took several tries, but Maryse was finally successful in cheating for her husband. Lawler said we shouldn't have expected anything less from Miz and Maryse. Schiavone said that Miz will now face the winner of the Styles vs. Wyatt match later tonight.

Backstage, Renee Young was standing by with AJ Styles. Renee said that we had just saw The Miz advance in the US Title tournament, then asked Styles about his match with Bray Wyatt coming up. Styles said that since day one, he has set out to the best and he was ready to continue that tonight. He said that he would defeat Bray Wyatt just like he did on the first night of this company, then go on to beat Miz and become the United States Champion.

Also backstage, CWF General Manager Sting was shown in his office on the phone. Sting said that it was a big night considering it was the first PPV, and that he looked forward to seeing what everyone brought to the table. He then said that he had spoken to "the man" and felt like it was just a matter of time before he closed the deal.

    CWF United States Championship
    First Round Match

AJ Styles defeated Bray Wyatt in 12:58 by pinfall after the Phenomenal Forearm.

During the match, Styles had things well in control when the lights went out and the Wyatt Family appeared at ringside. However, before Rowan and Harper could do anything, Drew McIntyre made his CWF debut by running to the ring and jumping both Harper and Rowan at ringside. Bray Wyatt turned his attention to the action outside, allowing Styles to hit the Phenomenal Forearm for the win. After the match, Styles and McIntyre nodded at each other. From ringside, Tony Schiavone said that it will now by Styles vs.. Miz for the US Title.

At ringside, the announcers discussed the surprise appearance of Drew McIntyre. Schiavone said that they had heard for the last couple weeks that McIntrye was on his way, but no one could have expected him tonight. Lawler said luckily for Styles, it was tonight because McIntyre had just saved him.

Backstage, Renee Young was shown standing with CUFF World Champion Kevin Owens. Renee asked Owens about his title defense later tonight, and the mystery man that appeared this past Wednesday. Kevin Owens said that the only thing anyone needed to know about the mystery man was that it was just that, a mystery. He said it was no one's business who it was. Owens said that tonight, he was going to exploit Cody Rhodes for the fraud that he is, and that at the end of the night, the words you would hear are, "Still your CWF World Heavyweight Champion, Kevin Owens."

At ringside, Tony Schiavone said that it was now time to find out who would be the first ever CWF World Tag Team Champions. Jerry Lawler said that the first two teams would have a distinct disadvantage as they would have to win every match in order to win the titles. Schiavone then officially went over the rules of the match which were that two teams would start, once one team is eliminated, another team would enter and it would continue until only one team remained. He said that team would be the World Tag Team Champions.

    CWF World Tag Team Championship
    Tag Team Gauntlet Match

Match #1: Breezango defeated The World's Greatest Tag Team in 6:14 by pinfall when Breeze pinned Haas with a small package.

During the match, Haas and Benjamin toyed with Breeze until Breeze surprised Haas with small package for the win.
Match #2: The New Day defeated Breezango in 4:46 by pinfall when Xavier Woods pinned Fandango after a top rope elbowdrop.
Before this match started, Haas and Benjamin assaulted both Breeze and Fandango before New Day made the save.
Match #3: The New Day defeated Harper & Rowan in 8:34 by pinfall when Big E pinned Rowan after The Big Ending.
During the match, both teams had several near falls. The finish came when Big E and Rowan were battling in the ring, and Harper tried to get involved. Harper ran in but Xavier pulled the top rope down, sending Harper crashing to the floor. Big E then hit Rowan with The Big Ending for the win. After the match, New Day began to celebrate, thinking they had won the titles when suddenly the arena heard:
"I Spit In The Face Of People Who Don't Want To Be Cool..."
In a surprise to everyone, Carlito and Chris Masters ran to the ring and attacked New Day.
Match #4: Carlito & Chris Masters defeated The New Day in 1:21 when Carlito pinned Woods after the Backstabber to win the CWF World Tag Team Championships.
During the match, Masters threw Big E out of the ring, and Carlito hit Woods with the Backstabber for the win. At ringside, Tony Schiavone said that he was completely shocked to see Carlito and Masters. Lawler said that he hadn't seen them in years, but now they were the CWF Tag Champions.

Backstage, Renee Young was standing by with Cody Rhodes. Renee asked Rhodes about his championship match later tonight. Rhodes said that this was something he had looked forward to for a long time, and he didn't intend on letting it slip away from him. He said his focus was completely on Owens and he couldn't worry about who might be under the hood that helped Owens on Showdown. Rhodes said that tonight he would leave as the new CWF Champion.

At ringside, Tony Schiavone said now it was time to find out who would be the first ever United States Champion. He said the night started with four men, and now there were only two left. He then went over how Miz defeated Ambrose with help from Maryse, and how Styles defeated Bray Wyatt earlier tonight. Lawler said that he believed Styles was the man to beat if he can neutralize Maryse.

    CWF United States Championship
AJ Styles defeated The Miz in 16:08 by pinfall after the Styles Clash to win the CWF United States Title.

During the match, Maryse tried to interfere but Dean Ambrose ran out and chased Maryse up the ramp and into the backstage area. The end of the match saw Miz attempt the Skull Crushing Finale only for Styles to reverse it and hit Miz with the Pele Kick. Styles then hit the Styles Clash for the win. After the match, Styles was awarded the US Title as the crowd erupted with cheers. From ringside, Tony Schiavone said that Styles definitely earned it and deserved to be the first United States Champion.

At ringside, the announcers went over the next match, the Fatal Fourway for the Women's Title. Schiavone said that Alexa Bliss was confident she would leave tonight as the champion, but 3 other women had a different opinion. Lawler said that Mickie James looked strong on the last Showdown, and you could never count out Paige or Emma. Schiavone said it was time to crown a champion.

    CWF Women's Championship
    Fatal Fourway Elimination Match

Alexa Bliss defeated Mickie James, Emma, & Paige in 11:20 by pinfall when she pinned Mickie James after a Snap DDT to win the CWF Women's Championship.

During the match, Paige was eliminated by Bliss after Twisted Bliss, Emma was eliminated by Mickie James following a roll up. The finish came when Bliss ducked an attempted Mick Kick and hit James with the Snap DDT for the win. After the match, Bliss proudly displayed her newly won title as the crowd booed. From ringside, Tony Schiavone said that like her or not, Bliss did exactly what she said she would do and is now the first CWF Women's Champion.

Backstage, Cody Rhodes was shown preparing for his World Title match coming up next. Rhodes was on the phone and could be heard saying, "I know you'd rather be here right now, but you need to be where you are. Yes, I'll see you tomorrow night"

At ringside, the announcers speculated on who Rhodes could be talking to. Schiavone said that it would make sense that Rhodes would be talking to his wife Brandi before such a big match as what he has coming up. Lawler said that it had to be Brandi that Cody was speaking to because who else could it have been.

A video package aired again, detailing the events leading up to the World Title match. It again showed Owens winning the title, the arrival of Cody Rhodes, Rhodes earning a title show, and Owens laying out Randy Orton and Rhodes last week with the help of Rusev and the mystery man. At ringside, Tony Schiavone gave a quick update on Randy Orton, saying that Orton was battered and bruised but he would be okay. He clarified though that Orton was not here tonight. Lawler then said that maybe it was Orton that Cody Rhodes was on the phone with. Schiavone said that was possible, then said it was time for the main event.

    CWF World Heavyweight Championship
Kevin Owens defeated Cody Rhodes in 24:47 by pinfall after the PopUp Powerbomb to retain the CWF World Heavyweight Championship.

During the match, Rhodes had things well in hand when the referee was knocked down after being accidentally splashed in the corner by Owens. Rhodes hit the Cross Rhodes on Owens and pinned him but there was no ref to make the count, but the crowd counted to three for Rhodes. The mystery man from last week's Showdown appeared and attacked Rhodes in the ring from behind. The mystery man knocked Rhodes down with a hard shot to the back of the head, then ripped his hood off to reveal himself as SAMOA JOE. Joe locked the Coquina Clutch on Rhodes as Owens screamed that it was all over. Joe then threw a near unconscious Rhodes toward Owens, who hit him with the PopUp Powerbomb. The ref slowly recovered and made the three count. After the match, Owens and Joe celebrated over a fallen Rhodes. Schiavone said that he never expected to see Samoa Joe and that Owens was a cowardly SOB. Lawler said that while he doesn't condone it, Owens had a plan and executed it to perfection with his new associate Samoa Joe. The show ended with Owens holding the title in the air and the crowd booing heavily.

Kevin Owens survived the challenge from Cody Rhodes, but not without help. in a shocking surprise Samoa Joe arrived in CWF, when he revealed himself as the man in the black hood, helping Kevin Owens retain his title. What is the relationship between Owens and Joe, and what will it mean going forward?

Alexa Bliss did exactly what she said she would as she walked out of Heatwave as the CWF Women's Champion. Now, Bliss has promised a Championship Celebration Ceremony for Showdown. What will Bliss have to say as the new champion, and how will her win be accepted?

AJ Styles is the new United States Champion, having survived the 4 man tournament to win the gold. Who will be the first to step up to The Phenomenal One as his first potential challenger?

The New Day thought they had won the tag titles, but were shocked when Carlito and Chris Masters arrived and won the CWF World Tag Team Championships. How will New Day respond to Masters & Carlito's arrival?

    CWF Showdown
    August 30, 2017

The show opened with a recap video of last Sunday's CWF Heatwave. It concentrated on Kevin Owens defeating Cody Rhodes in the main event, with the help of Samoa Joe.

The Showdown opening played, followed by Tony Schiavone and Jerry Lawler welcoming everyone to the show. Schiavone said that last Sunday night at Heatwave, new champions were crowned, debuts occurred, and history was made as the first CWF Pay Per View took place. He said tonight would see all the fallout from that show, including the surprising debut of Samoa Joe. Lawler said he couldn't wait to get things started.

Kevin Owens' music began playing as he walked out, carrying the CWF World Championship over his shoulder. Owens made his way to the ring as Schiavone talked Heatwave. Schiavone said that Owens walked out with the title, but not by himself. Lawler said that Owens seemed to have friends in all the right places.

In the ring, Kevin Owens said that he was still the CWF Champion. He said that he told the world that Cody Rhodes could not beat him, and he proved it Sunday night. He said that Rhodes was never in his league and that Sting and Triple H both should have known that and never put Cody Rhodes as the number 1 contender to the title. Owens said that he wanted to introduce everyone to his insurance plan at Heatwave, the man that guaranteed he would walk out still the champion. Owens then introduced Samoa Joe. Joe entered the ring and shook hands with Owens. Joe said that for a very long time he had sit back and watched as undeserving people were given opportunity after opportunity, while he had to sit in the back and have his talents wasted. Joe said that he saw the same thing happening in this company with the people in charge handing a chance to Cody Rhodes instead of someone that deserved it. He said that was why he approached Kevin Owens and offered to watch his back and make sure that the right thing happened. Owens said that when Joe came to him, he knew it was the right thing to do because he expected the powers that be in the CWF to hand the title to their "prodigal son" Cody Rhodes. Owens said that last night, he and Joe put an end to the ridiculous idea that Cody Rhodes would ever be CWF Champion.

Cody Rhodes' music began playing and he walked out onto the stage. Rhodes said that Owens and Joe had nothing to be proud of. He said that it was disrespectful to this company and to wrestling that Owens had to rely on outside interference in order to keep that title around his waist. Rhodes said that Owens had proven that he couldn't win, so he had to hire Joe for protection. Owens said that Rhodes can cry all he wants about what happened, but the fact is that Kevin Owens is STILL the CWF Champion, and there wasn't a damn thing anyone could do about it. Rhodes said that there was something he could do about and challenged Owens to a rematch tonight for the title. Owens said that he would be glad to beat Rhodes again, just not tonight. Rhodes said if Owens didn't want to put the title up tonight, then why didn't Owens and his boy Joe face him tonight. Owens said Rhodes must be stupid to ask for such a match, but if he wanted it, he could have it. Rhodes smiled and said that he would see them later tonight.

From ringside, Tony Schiavone announced that Alexa Bliss would hold a Championship Celebration celebrating her CWF Women's Championship at Heatwave. He said that celebration was NEXT!

    (Commercial Break)

Back from the ring, the ring had been set up with a red carpet, balloons tied the four ring posts, and a banner across the front of the ring reading, "ALEXA BLISS CWF WOMEN'S CHAMPION." Alexa Bliss walked out, with the Women's Title proudly displayed around her waist. She entered the ring with a mic. Bliss said that at Heatwave she proved what she had been saying all along. She said that she was the top woman in wrestling and that she would remain that way. She said that this was her championship celebration and she intended for it to be a party. Bliss said she had a special video put together to help set the mood. A video then aired, showing Bliss winning the Women's Title, as well as several other clips highlighting herself. After the video, Bliss said that if that didn't show how great she was, she didn't know what would. Mickie James made her way out, interrupting the party. Bliss said that no one invited the wanna be country singer, and asked if there was some local dive bar that needed some second rate entertainment. Mickie said that she was here to put her name down as the first challenger to Bliss for the Women's Title. Bliss said that Mickie was delusional since she had already been defeated at Heatwave. Mickie said that might be true, but tonight was a new night and she knew she could win. Bliss said that the only thing Mickie could win was a spread in some sleazy magazine. Bliss paused then said that MIckie had already spread her business for all the world to see, so what else was she worth. Mickie laughed, then attacked Bliss. The two women rolled on the mat, each gaining an advantage until Bliss escaped the ring. Bliss backed up the ramp holding her title up as Mickie challenged her to return to the ring.

Backstage, Renee Young was shown standing with The Miz and Maryse. Renee asked Miz about the US Title Tournament and his loss to AJ Styles in the finals. Miz said that the only reason he lost was because Dean Ambrose stuck his nose in business that didn't concern him. He said without Ambrose getting involved, he would be standing here tonight as the United States Champion. Renee brought up that Miz had cheated to defeat Ambrose earlier in the night, and that Ambrose was just returning the favor. MIz said that he didn't care what Ambrose thought he was doing, because what he had done was mess with the A Lister, and that was something you just don't do. Maryse then stepped up to the mic and got right in Renee Young's face. Maryse said that Renee needed to tell her dirty husband to mind his own business. Renee said that Dean would do whatever he wanted to do, and that maybe Maryse should learn to keep her slutty hands to herself. Maryse slapped Renee across the face and both Miz and Maryse stormed off. Renee held her face in pain.

From ringside, Tony Schiavone said that up next, they would relieve some of the footage from Heatwave involving the CWF World Tag Team Title Gauntlet match. Footage was then shown of The New Day surviving the gauntlet and thinking they had won the titles, only to be attacked by the debuting Carlito and Chris Masters, who then went on to win the titles. Back live, Schiavone said that after the break, The New Day would be here to discuss what happened.

    (Commercial Break)

Back from the break, The New Day were shown in the backstage area. Xavier Woods said that at Heatwave, they were surprised by the arrival of Carlito and Masters, but it would not happen again. Kofi Kingston said that you could fool them once, but you couldn't do it a second time. Big E said that he gave credit to Carlito and Masters for making themselves relevant again, but The New Day would prevail in the end. Xavier finished by saying that Carlito and Masters might be "cool" but they would never be the best because....NEW DAY ROCKS! The crowd began chanting along with New Day.

Carlito and Chris Masters defeated Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas in 8:25 when Carlito pinned Haas after the Backstabber. During the match, Shelton Benjamin seemed to be displeased with Haas on several occasions. After the match, Benjamin helped Haas up and hugged him. Benjamin then shocked everyone when he grabbed Haas and hit him with an exploder suplex. Benjamin stood over Haas and shook his head, then left the ring.

At ringside, Tony Schiavone said he didn't know what had just happened with Haas and Benjamin. Lawler said it looked like Benjamin was taking out the trash.
Also at ringside, Tony Schiavone introduced footage from Heatwave of the CWF United States Title Tournament. The video showed AJ Styles defeating Bray Wyatt in the finals to become the United States Champion. It also showed how the Wyatt Family interfered, trying to help Bray, only for Drew McIntyre to arrive to help take them out, allowing Styles to concentrate on Bray.

After the video, Bray Wyatt was shown on the screen staring at the camera. Bray said that in life, you are either a winner or a loser and sometimes, the winner isn't a winner at all. He said that while AJ Styles walked away with the US Title, he had walked away with something even bigger. He said that he had been shown a vision, a glimpse into the future, and that future was dark for AJ Styles. Bray said that even the weakest of men can sometimes stand up to the strong and survive the battle but in the end, they will never win the war. He said that it was time for him to stand up and take what should be his, and right the wrongs that were committed against him. Bray looked into the camera and said, "They have spoken to me and they have shown me the way. AJ Styles, RUN!"

A graphic was shown showing that AJ Styles would be in action tonight against Erick Rowan.

    (Commercial Break)

Back from the break, Carlito and Chris Masters were shown attacking Big E with a chair backstage. After several vicious shots, Kofi and Xavier arrived to chase them off. EMTs arrived to check on Big E while Kofi and Xavier challenged Carlito and Masters to come back.

At ringside, Tony Schiavone said that they hoped to have some word on Big E's condition before the night was over. He also said that those were some horrendous chair shots, and that Big E could be in bad shape.

Mickie James defeated Emma in 7:32 by pinfall after the Mickie-DT. After the match, Alexa Bliss attacked Mickie and hit her with the Snap DDT. From ringside, Tony Schiavone said that Bliss didn't take kindly to Mickie interrupting her celebration earlier tonight. Lawler said that Bliss made some unsavory remarks about Mickie and Mickie responded to it. Schiavone said that things were far from over between the two women

Backstage, AJ Styles was shown being interviewed by Renee Young. Renee asked Styles about the words of Bray Wyatt earlier tonight. Styles said that if there was one thing he had learned, it was that Bray Wyatt liked to talk but never makes any sense. He said that if the spirits or the prophets or whatever had spoken to Bray then they had told him a lie. Styles said that last Sunday he won the US Title, and he intended to remain the US Champion for the foreseeable future.

    (Commercial Break)

The Miz defeated Johnny Smalls in 3:21 by pinfall after the Skull Crushing Finale. During the match, Tony Schiavone made a note that Johnny Smalls was a local wrestler and was being given a huge opportunity tonight. After the match, The Miz said that this right here was just an example of what was to come in the future. He said that no one in this company had the talent or skill that he possessed, especially not the dirty, hobo looking Dean Ambrose. Miz said that Ambrose will regret costing him the US Title, just like Renee Young regrets their interview earlier. He said that his wife slapped the taste out of Renee's mouth, and would gladly do it again. Dean Ambrose ran down to the ring and immediately attacked Miz. Miz was able to escape as he and Maryse ran back up the ramp to get away. Ambrose grabbed the mic and said that he had a lot of reasons to want to kick some ass tonight. He said he could list them all, but the most important right now was that Miz and Maryse had involved Renee, who was just doing her job backstage as an interviewer. He said that Miz will regret the day he was born.

A video was shown promoting Drew McIntyre. After the video, Tony Shiavone said that at Heatwave, we saw the debut of Drew McIntyre in the CWF, as he helped AJ Styles deal with the Wyatt Family. Schiavone then said that McIntyre still had some booked events outside of CWF, and that he would not be appearing over the next couple weeks. He did announce that McIntyre would be in action at CWF Fall Brawl.

Backstage, Cody Rhodes was shown in the locker room on the phone. Rhodes said that he was ready for the match tonight and couldn't wait to get out there and put Owens and Joe in their place. Cody ended the call by saying, "See you then."

    (Commercial Break)

Back from the break, Tony Schiavone announced that last Sunday's Heatwave had been a huge success, and that the CWF would be back on Pay Per View, Sunday September 24 for CWF Fall Brawl.

AJ Styles defeated Erick Rowan in 9:19 by pinfall after the Phenomenal Forearm. After the match, Luke Harper attacked Styles, and he and Rowan held Styles in place as Bray Wyatt walked down to the ring. Wyatt entered the ring and grabbed Styles, then hit him with Sister Abigail. Wyatt posed over the fallen Styles and laughed.

Backstage, Kevin Owens and Samoa Joe were shown preparing for their match coming up. Owens and Joe were laughing as they began walking toward the arena entrance. From ringside, Tony Schiavone said that the main event of tonight's Showdown was up next. He said that apparently it was going to be Cody Rhodes facing Samoa Joe and CWF World Champion Kevin Owens in a handicap match. Lawler said that Rhodes was making a huge mistake.

    (Commercial Break)

Back from the break, Kevin Owens and Samoa Joe made their way out to the ring for the match, followed by Cody Rhodes. Rhodes said that they must have misheard him earlier when he made the challenge, because he didn't want a handicap match, he wanted a tag team match. Owens asked Rhodes if there was someone in the back stupid enough to be his partner. Rhodes smiled and looked back at the entrance where Ted DiBiase walked out. Owens was shocked in the ring as DiBiase joined Rhodes. From ringside, Tony Schiavone said that on the first CWF Showdown, Kevin Owens had injured DiBiase and no one expected him back this early. Lawler speculated that perhaps DiBiase was the person Rhodes was on the phone with at Heatwave and earlier tonight.

Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase defeated Kevin Owens and Samoa Joe in 13:47 when Rhodes pinned Owens after Cross Rhodes. After the match, Owens quickly got out of the ring as he and Joe retreated up the ramp. Rhodes and DiBiase celebrated in the ring as the show ended.

    Re: Championship Wrestling Federation

    CWF Showdown
    September 6, 2017

The show began with a quick recap of last week's main event, which saw Ted DiBiase return to team with Cody Rhodes to defeat Samoa Joe and CWF World Champion Kevin Owens.

The Showdown opening played, followed by Tony Schiavone and Jerry Lawler welcoming everyone to another action packed episode of CWF Showdown. Schiavone said last week, we saw the shock return of Ted DiBiase, and that Kevin Owens was stunned to see DiBiase back. Lawler said that Cody Rhodes got one over on Kevin Owens last week, and he wondered what would happen tonight.

Cody Rhodes' music began playing, and Rhodes made his way out to the ring as the crowd cheered. Rhodes said that years ago, there was a guy in WWE that was like a brother to him. He said that being both 2nd generation stars, the two of them had formed a quick bond and always had each other's backs. He said that last week, that man returned from an injury and like always, that man had his back. Rhodes then introduced Ted DiBiase. Ted DiBiase made his way out to the ring as crowd again cheered loudly.

From ringside, Tony Schiavone said that DiBiase started out strong in the CWF, only to be sidelined with an injury on the first night, but now he was back. Lawler said that he predicted big things in the future from DiBiase and that he stood by those words.

DiBiase entered the ring and shook hands with Cody Rhodes. DiBiase said that it felt great to be back after missing a few weeks. He said that Kevin Owens tried to take him out but he failed. He said last week, he was there to help out Cody in his battle and he would be there whenever Cody needed him. Kevin Owens and Samoa Joe walked out onto the stage. Owens said that it was so great to see DiBiase back because it meant that he could hurt him again. Owens said that it seemed DiBiase didn't get enough of a beating a few weeks ago, so maybe he needed to finish the job tonight. DiBiase asked if that was a challenge, and if it was, he gladly accepted. Owens said that it was a challenge, but not from him. Samoa Joe said that he wanted DiBiase tonight.

General Manager Sting appeared on the screen and said that it sounded like a good main event tonight, so it would be Samoa Joe vs. Ted DiBiase. He also announced that Cody Rhodes would be getting his rematch against Kevin Owens and it would be at Fall Brawl.

    (Commercial Break)

Back from the break, Tony Schiavone and Jerry Lawler discussed what happened last week with The Miz, Maryse, and Renee Young. Schiavone said that Miz and Maryse had drawn the ire of Dean Ambrose. Jerry Lawler said that he didn't blame Ambrose for being upset. Schiavone said that Ambrose would be in action next.

Dean Ambrose defeated Fandango in 7:09 by pinfall after Dirty Deeds. After the match, Ambrose helped Fandango up and shook his hand. After Fandango was gone, from behind, The Miz attacked Ambrose and hit him with the Skull Crushing Finale. From ringside, Tony Schiavone said that Miz waited until Ambrose wasn't looking and attacked him like a coward. Lawler said this is what you have to expect from Miz.

From ringside, Tony Schiavone announced that Big E was not here this week after the assault by Carlito and Masters last week. Schiavone said that the exact details of Big E's condition were unknown, but that they wished him well and hoped he could return soon.

Backstage, Ted DiBiase and Cody Rhodes were shown as DiBiase prepared for his match with Samoa Joe later tonight. DiBiase said that tonight would be step one in getting himself back in the mix. Rhodes said that he would have DiBiase's back tonight, just like he always had done.

    (Commercial Break)

Back from the break, Renee Young was standing backstage with Mickie James. Renee asked Mickie about what happened last week with Alexa Bliss. Mickie said that she was just after a chance to be Women's Champion, but Bliss made it personal with her words last week. She said that she would get Bliss back for that and for her attack last week.

Xavier Woods defeated Chris Masters in 9:48 by pinfall with a roll up. After the match, Masters and Carlito attacked Xavier with a chair. Kofi Kingston ran out to help, but Masters attacked Kofi from behind with a chair as well. Carlito and Masters stood over the fallen members of New Day.

From ringside, Tony Schiavone said that Woods and Kingston had gotten the same treatment that Big E had gotten, only not to the same degree. Lawler said that Masters and Carlito are clearly trying to take out New Day before New Day could challenge them for the Tag Titles.

Backstage, Dean Ambrose was shown in the locker room with an ice pack on his head after the Skull Crushing Finale from Miz. Renee Young was then shown in the room with Ambrose. Renee said she felt responsible for this because of what happened last week. Ambrose said that it wasn't Renee's fault, and that Miz had started this several weeks ago. He said that he felt responsible for Renee getting slapped last week. Renee said that she made the choice to say what she said in defense of Dean, and she didn't regret it. Renee then grabbed the ice pack from Dean and placed it on his head.

From ringside, Tony Schiavone said that we had just witnessed a nice moment between Dean Ambrose and Renee Young. Lawler said that it was great to see the two together, after being unable to acknowledge their marriage much in their previous company.

Also at ringside, Tony Schiavone said that after the break, AJ Styles would face Luke Harper.

    (Commercial Break)

Back from the break, a quick video was shown, detailing what happened between AJ Styles and Bray Wyatt last week. After the video, Tony Schiavone said that tonight, Styles had a chance at a little revenge against Luke Harper.

Luke Harper defeated AJ Styles in 10:28 by pinfall after interference from Erick Rowan.During the match, Styles went for the Phenomenal Forearm when the lights went out. When the lights came back on, Erick Rowan was in the ring standing in front of Harper. Styles went for the forearm anyway, but as he jumped in the air, the lights went back out. When they came back on again, Styles was laid out in the ring. Harper made the cover for the win. After the match, the lights went off once again, and when they came back on, Bray Wyatt was in the ring standing over the unconscious Styles. Bray laughed and said, "Follow the buzzards!"

From ringside, Schiavone said that Bray was playing mind games with Styles and he was winning. Lawler said that Bray holds some sort of mystical power and he was using it at his will to take out Styles.

Backstage, The Miz and Maryse were shown in the locker room. Miz said that Ambrose got just a taste of what was coming his way tonight. Maryse said that Dean and Renee just wished they could be half the couple that she and Miz were. Miz said no one could be as good as they were.

From ringside, Tony Schiavone said that there may be a storm brewing between the couples of Miz and Maryse and Dean Ambrose and Renee Young. Lawler said that he liked the tension and that it made things a whole lot more interesting going forward.

A graphic was shown for a tag match pitting Mickie James & Paige against Alexa Bliss & Emma. Tony Schiavone said this match was NEXT!

    (Commercial Break)

Back from the break, a video aired showing what happened last week between Mickie James and Alexa Bliss. From ringside, Tony Schiavone said that things had gotten very personal very quickly between James and Bliss.

Mickie James and Paige defeated Alexa Bliss and Emma in 8:39 by pinfall when Mickie James pinned Alexa Bliss after the Mickie-DT. After the match, Mickie grabbed a mic and challenged Bliss to a match for the Women's Title.

From ringside, Tony Schiavone commented on the attack last week by Shelton Benjamin on Charlie Haas. Schiavone said he was shocked by the attack and that no one had seen or heard from Benjamin since last week. Lawler said that Charlie Haas had been given the week off, and they hoped to have more on the situation next week.

Backstage, Ted DiBiase was shown making his way down the hallway, heading to the ring. In a split screen, Samoa Joe was also shown making his way toward the arena for their main event match.

    (Commercial Break)

Back from the break, Tony Schiavone gave an update on the status of Drew McIntyre. Schiavone said that McIntyre was fulfilling his final commitments outside the CWF, and he would be arriving full time to the CWF very soon. Lawler said that he couldn't wait until McIntyre was here permanently.

Also at ringside, Tony Schiavone announced that next week, there would be a Champion vs. Champion match pitting CWF United States Champion AJ Styles against CWF World Heavyweight Champion Kevin Owens. Jerry Lawler said that was a Pay Per View caliber match and it would be live on Showdown next week.

Ted DiBiase defeated Samoa Joe in 13:24 by DQ when Kevin Owens interfered. During the match, Kevin Owens ran into the ring and attacked DiBiase and was joined by Joe in the assault. Cody Rhodes ran down for the save and chased Owens and Joe from the ring. The end of the show saw Rhodes and DiBiase challenging Owens and Joe to return to the ring.

    Re: Championship Wrestling Federation

    CWF Showdown
    September 13, 2017

A replay video from last week was shown, highlighting the end of the show which saw Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase challenging Kevin Owens and Samoa Joe to get back into the ring, with Owens and Joe retreating up the ramp.

The Showdown opening video aired, followed by a live shot of the arena. Tony Schiavone and Jerry Lawler welcomed everyone to Showdown. Schiavone said things were heating up just two weeks away from Fall Brawl. He said tonight, AJ Styles would face Kevin Owens in a Champion vs.. Champion match. Lawler said that we didn't have to wait long to see that match as it was happening right now.

Kevin Owens defeated AJ Styles by pinfall in 15:07 after interference from Bray Wyatt. During the match, the lights went out and Bray Wyatt appeared in the ring. The lights quickly went back out, and Bray was gone. Bray was heard laughing in the arena causing Styles to become distracted and get rolled up by Owens. After the match, Owens held up his title and said he was the best in the world.

On the big screen, Bray Wyatt was shown. Bray said that time was running out for AJ Styles. He said there was only two weeks left before AJ faces the darkness that he will not be able to overcome. Bray said that it would be far easier for AJ to just surrender now and save himself the embarrassment that is to come at Fall Brawl. He said otherwise, he would be forced to end AJ once and for all. Bray said that his words of advice to Styles were, "RUN!"

At ringside, Tony Schiavone said that AJ Styles had not had a successful time since winning the US Title at Heatwave. Lawler said that Styles was dealing with a master of mind games, and that Bray was using them to stay one step ahead of Styles at every turn.

Backstage, Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase were shown arriving to the building earlier in the day. From ringside, Tony Schiavone said that after the break, we would hear from the number one contender to the CWF World Championship, Cody Rhodes.

    (Commercial Break)

Back from the break, Renee Young was shown standing backstage with Cody Rhodes. Renee asked Cody about his upcoming CWF World Championship match at Fall Brawl. Rhodes said that at Heatwave, he came so close to winning the title but Samoa Joe cost him his chance. He said that at Fall Brawl, he would not let that happen again because he was determined to overcome whatever Kevin Owens and Samoa Joe could throw at him. He said that his goal of winning the CWF Championship had been delayed but it would still happen. From behind, Rhodes was attacked by Rusev. Rusev laid Rhodes out, then said that it looked like Rhodes had forgotten about him. CWF General Manager Sting arrived and ordered Rusev to leave. Sting then checked on Cody.

At ringside, Tony Schiavone said that Rusev came out of nowhere to assault Cody Rhodes from behind. Jerry Lawler said that Rusev had an association with Kevin Owens, and that perhaps everyone had forgotten about that with the arrival of Samoa Joe. Schiavone said that something was going on backstage with Sting and Cody Rhodes right now.

Backstage, Cody Rhodes, holding his head, was yelling at Sting. Rhodes said he wanted Rusev in a match tonight. Sting said that he wasn't sure about making that match after the assault moments ago. Rhodes said that it didn't matter what condition he was in, he wanted Rusev and would get him one way or the other. Sting said that if the doctors would clear Rhodes to wrestle, he would make the match for tonight.

At ringside, Tony Schiavone said that Rhodes could be making a mistake by challenging Rusev tonight. Jerry Lawler said that he wasn't sure that Rhodes would be cleared after the attack, especially after the shot to the head from Rusev. Schiavone said that he believed that Rhodes would get Rusev tonight either way.

    (Commercial Break)

Back from the break, Renee Young was shown standing with CWF Women's Champion, Alexa Bliss. Renee asked Bliss the challenge from Mickie James last week. Bliss said that unless she was mistaken, she had already beaten Mickie James for the Women's Title and she saw no reason for Mickie to get another chance to beat her. General Manager Sting walked into the camera shot and said that Bliss had beaten Mickie to win the title, but it was in a Fourway match. He said that despite Alexa's claims, Mickie James would get a shot at the Women's Title at Fall Brawl. Bliss was disgusted and said that she saw no reason for such a match since she had already beaten Mickie. Bliss said that Mickie must have recreated her magazine pictures in Sting's office to get the match. Sting said that kind of talk was uncalled for and that Bliss should be ashamed to even insinuate such a thing. Bliss said that she calls it like she sees it, then walked away. Sting paused for a second and said that he could see that Bliss was going to be a problem.

At ringside, Tony Schiavone said that Sting was having a very busy night already. Jerry Lawler said that he couldn't believe the comments made by Bliss about Sting and Mickie James. Schiavone said that the insinuations made by Bliss were out of line.

A video then aired showing what happened last week between New Day and Carlito & Chris Masters. It showed Xavier Woods being attacked with a chair by Carlito and Masters, then Kofi Kingston trying to help only to be attacked as well. From ringside, Tony Schiavone that up next, Kofi Kingston would try to get a little revenge as he faces Carlito in singles action.

Carlito defeated Kofi Kingston in 7:28 by pinfall after the Backstabber. During the match, Masters slid a chair into the ring for Carlito. Xavier Woods saw the chair and tried to intervene, but as the ref dealt with Woods, Masters entered the ring, grabbed the chair, and nailed Kofi with it. Carlito hit the Backstabber for the win. After the match, Woods entered the ring to assist Kofi, but was quickly taken down. Big E ran out to the ring with a chair, making his return to the CWF. Big E chased Masters and Carlito away from the ring.

In the ring, Big E grabbed a mic and said that since Carlito and Masters liked to play with chairs, maybe they want to come get some now. Big E said that they tried to take him out two weeks ago but didn't finish the job. He said that no one messes with his brothers and gets away with it. He said he was challenging Carlito and Masters to a handicap match next week. He said they could bring their chairs or whatever else they wanted because he was going to kick their asses next week, and then at Fall Brawl, The New Day were taking the Tag Titles.

From ringside, Tony Schiavone announced that Cody Rhodes had been cleared to compete tonight, and that he would go one on one with Rusev. Jerry Lawler said that Rhodes shouldn't be competing, no matter what the doctors said.

Also at ringside, Tony Schiavone said that he was being told that Sting was going to address the comments made earlier by Alexa Bliss. He said that Sting would be in the ring after the break.

    (Commercial Break)

In the ring, Sting called for Alexa Bliss to come out and apologize to him for her remarks backstage. He said that the kind of remarks that Bliss had made did not belong in a company that he was in charge of and that he wouldn't stand for such derogatory speech. He said that Bliss was to come and apologize to him and all the viewers in the arena and watching at home. Bliss came out and said that she didn't feel like she had anything to apologize for. She said it was common knowledge that Mickie James had posed for a sleazy magazine and that it was clear that she would do whatever it took to get something she wanted. Sting said that what Mickie James had done in her past wasn't important to her current situation in the CWF, and that it was uncalled for to bring it up. He said that Bliss would apologize tonight or else. Bliss asked what the "or else" meant. Sting said that if Bliss didn't apologize, then he would be forced to punish her for her actions, including stripping her of the CWF Women's Championship. Bliss looked surprised and said Sting can't do that. Sting said he was the General Manager and he could do whatever he had to do for the greater good for the company. Bliss gave in and said she would apologize. Bliss took a deep breath and said she was sorry, she was sorry that Mickie James was nothing but a prostitute and gave it up for anyone that asked, including the guys in the locker room. She said she was sorry that a good christian man like Sting had fallen prey to the dirty deeds of Mickie James. Sting ordered Bliss to be quiet. Sting said that he asked for a simple apology and that Bliss had just made things worse. He said he was seriously considering taking the title away from Bliss. Mickie James walked out and told Sting not to strip Bliss of the title, but to let her take it away instead. James said that she would defeat Bliss at Fall Brawl and win the title, and that would be punishment enough for Bliss. Sting looked at Bliss and said she was lucky he was a nice guy because he was going to let her keep the title. Sting then wished Bliss luck at Fall Brawl. Sting left the ring, and Mickie James entered and attacked Bliss. Mickie hit Bliss with the Mickie-DT, then posed over her with the Women's Title

At ringside, Tony Schiavone said Bliss had just gotten very lucky that Sting didn't strip her of the title. Jerry Lawler said that he didn't condone what Bliss said, but that threatening to take the title away from her seemed like a bit too much. Schiavone said that Sting was looking out for the company and that those kind of remarks from Bliss were no way to represent the CWF.

    (Commercial Break)

Back from the break, Tony Schiavone introduced a video, showing the problems between Dean Ambrose and The Miz. It showed Miz and Maryse involving Renee Young, and Ambrose's reaction to it. It then showed what happened last week with Miz attacking Ambrose from behind in the ring, then once again having a confrontation in the back with Renee. After the video, Schiavone said that Miz was in action next against Tyler Breeze.

Tyler Breeze defeated The Miz in 8:39 by pinfall after a distraction by Dean Ambrose.During the match, Dean Ambrose walked down to the ring and jumped on the apron, distracting Miz, allowing Breeze to roll Miz up. After the match, Ambrose tried to attack Miz but Miz quickly escaped the ring before Ambrose could get him.

Backstage, Miz and Maryse are shown walking fast down the hall, trying to get away from Ambrose. Along the way, they ran into Renee Young. Miz demanded that Renee get out of the way now. Renee asked where the two were going and why were they running away. Maryse told Renee to mind her own business and get out of their way. Renee got in Maryse's face and said that it looked like Miz wasn't as big of a man as he claimed to be. Renee then said that she had something for Maryse, then Renee slapped Maryse in the face. Both Miz and Maryse looked like they were going to retaliate, but Dean Ambrose was heard screaming from down the hall. Ambrose chased Miz and Maryse away, then hugged Renee.

    (Commercial Break)

Back from the break, CWF General Manager Sting was shown backstage. Sting said that he was proud to announce that Drew McIntyre had fulfilled all his prior commitments and was now exclusively signed to the CWF. He said that next week, McIntyre would be live on Showdown, and that we would find out who McIntyre will face at Fall Brawl.

Rusev defeated Cody Rhodes in 13:18 by pinfall after interference from Kevin Owens and Samoa Joe. During the match, Rhodes looked to put Rusev away with Cross Rhodes when Joe and Owens ran down to the ring. Rhodes turned his attention to them, then turned back around to be met with kick from Rusev for the pin. After the match, Owens, Rusev, and Joe attacked Rhodes until Ted DiBiase made his way out to the ring. DiBiase momentarily had the advantage until the numbers caught up with him and Owens, Joe, and Rusev took DiBiase out as well. The show ended with Owens, Joe, and Rusev standing tall over Rhodes and DiBiase.

    CWF Showdown
    September 20, 2017

Tonight's show is dedicated to the greatest manager of all time, Bobby "The Brain" Heenan.

    In Memory

    Bobby "The Brain" Heenan
    1944 -2017

The Showdown opening video aired, followed by Tony Schiavone and Jerry Lawler being shown at ringside. Schiavone welcomed everyone to the final Showdown before CWF Fall Brawl this Sunday. Lawler said that Fall Brawl was shaping up to be a huge night, and that it could only get better. Schiavone then said that we were kicking the show off tonight with tag team action.

Luke Harper and Erick Rowan defeated Breezango in 9:28 by pinfall when Harper pinned Fandango after the Discus Clothesline. After the match, Harper and Rowan insinuated that they were looking to get into the Tag Title picture.

A recap video was shown from last week of the situation between Alexa Bliss, Mickie James, and Sting. It showed Bliss making derogatory remarks to Sting about Mickie James, then Sting demanding Bliss apologize for her remarks. It showed Bliss fake apologizing, adding more derogatory remarks about Mickie. It then showed Sting almost stripping Bliss of the Women's Title for disobeying his order, only for Mickie to arrive and attack Bliss, leaving her knocked out in the ring.

From ringside, Tony Schiavone said that they had received a lot of emails from fans regarding the Alexa Bliss situation. He said that some fans were appalled by Alexa's words, but some were defending her. Lawler said that he understood some people's reactions, but that in Bliss' defense, it was common knowledge that Mickie James had once posed for an adult magazine when she was younger. Schiavone said they had also heard from people about Sting's reaction, with some siding with Sting, while others were against his actions. Schiavone said that Sting would address the situation later tonight, and that Alexa Bliss would be in action tonight against Paige.

    (Commercial Break)

Back from the break, Tony Schiavone introduced a video package detailing the recent events involving Bray Wyatt and AJ Styles. The video showed how Bray Wyatt has been one step ahead of Styles, playing mind games with him over the last few weeks. The video ended with Bray standing over Styles. After the video, Schiavone said that coming up, Renee Young would speak to Styles about his match with Bray Wyatt this Sunday.

Backstage, Renee Young was shown standing with the United States Champion, AJ Styles. Renee asked AJ about his battle with Bray this Sunday. AJ said that things had certainly not gone great for him the last few weeks, and that Bray seemed to be one step ahead of him all the time. Styles said that this Sunday, that would all change because there was no way in hell he was going to let Bray Wyatt take his United States Championship away from him.

At ringside, Tony Schiavone said that Styles never backed down from a challenge, and he wouldn't start now. Lawler said that Bray had Styles' number and he believed a new US Champion would be crowned this Sunday.

Ted DiBiase defeated Charlie Haas in 6:14 by pinfall after Dream Street.
After the match, Tony Schiavone said that DiBiase didn't have a match scheduled yet for Fall Brawl, but according to DiBiase earlier today, that would change soon.

From ringside, Tony Schiavone said that after the break, CWF General Manager Sting would address the situation with CWF Women's Champion Alexa Bliss.

    (Commercial Break)

Back from the break, the announcers discussed Alexa Bliss and the controversy surrounding her words the last couple weeks. Schiavone said that Sting was set to address the issue and that he was standing by in his office now.

Backstage, CWF General Manager Sting was shown in his office. Sting said that he wanted to address what happened with Alexa Bliss last week. He said that Bliss made some remarks that he felt were out of line. He said he wanted to apologize to anyone watching that may have been offended or felt uneasy hearing comments like that on a CWF broadcast. He said he also wanted to apologize if his reaction had upset anyone, and that he may have overreacted in threatening to strip Bliss of the title. He said that he would let Mickie James and Alexa Bliss settle their issue at Fall Brawl this Sunday, and that he hoped nothing like this ever came up again.

At ringside, Tony Schiavone said that Sting spoke for everyone in the company in that they all hoped nothing like what happened between Bliss, Sting, and James ever happened again. Lawler said that it was a low point for the company but he believed that Sting had handled it in the right way.

Also at ringside, the announcers discussed the situation between New Day and Carlito & Chris Masters. Schiavone said that Carlito and Masters had taken Big E out a few weeks ago, but that Big E returned last week with a vengeance. Lawler said that Big E challenged both Carlito and Masters to a handicap match tonight. Schiavone said that the match was up next.

Big E defeated Carltio and Chris Masters in 5:07 by DQ. During the match, Big E was holding his own, until Carlito and Masters began double teaming him, causing the ref to call for the bell. After the match, Carlito retrieved a chair and tried to attack Big E with it, but Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods ran out to make the save. Kofi and Xavier began brawling with Carlito and Masters until Big E grabbed the chair and nailed Masters in the back. Carlito and Masters escaped the ring as the New Day stood tall.

Backstage, The Miz and Maryse were shown making their way toward the arena. From ringside, Tony Schiavone said that Miz and Maryse were on their way to talk about their issue with Dean Ambrose and Renee Young over the past few weeks.

    (Commercial Break)

Back from the break, The Miz and Maryse were standing in the ring. Miz said that it seemed like Renee Young was interested in getting involved in her husband's affairs. He said that if that was the case, he wanted to invite Renee out to the ring right now and see what she has to say. After a few moments, Renee made her way out to the ring. Renee entered and stood in front of Miz and Maryse. Renee asked Miz what he wanted. Miz said that he wanted to invite Renee out here to get some things off her chest. He said that it seemed like Renee had a problem with him, and a problem with his wife. He asked Renee to state her reasons and get everything out in the open. Renee hesitated slightly then said that yes, she had a problem with Miz and Maryse. She said her problem with Miz was that he had cost Dean his chance to be both the World Champion and United States Champion. She said that her problem with Maryse went deep because she saw Maryse as nothing more than a tramp clinging on to the WWE because she couldn't do anything else. Maryse stepped up in Renee's face. Maryse said that the only person clinging to something was Renee clinging to a poor excuse for a man just so that she feels relevant. Miz said that it looked like things might be about to get heated, so he wanted to make sure things were even. Miz then grabbed Renee by the hair and held her so that Maryse could slap her again. After the slap, Miz put Renee in position for the Skull Crushing Finale, however Dean Ambrose sprinted to the ring to help Renee. Miz and Maryse quickly escaped the ring as Ambrose made sure that Renee was okay.

From ringside, Tony Schiavone said that Miz's actions were disgusting and that he had no right putting his hands on Renee Young. Lawler said that most things they see happen in wrestling he could stand, but a man putting his hands on a woman was not one of them. In the ring, Ambrose screamed that Miz was a dead man for touching Renee.

Backstage, Charlie Haas was shown standing alone. Haas said he wanted to address what happened with himself and Shelton Benjamin. Haas said he didn't know what happened and that he hadn't heard from Benjamin since then. Haas said that if Benjamin had a problem, he should have addressed it face to face. Haas said that when Benjamin felt the desire to explain his actions, he would be waiting for him.

From ringside, Tony Schiavone said that up next was the man they had been waiting on for weeks.

    (Commercial Break)

Back from the break, Tony Schiavone said that it was time for the official debut of Drew McIntyre.

Drew McIntyre made his way to the ring. McIntyre said that it felt great to be standing in the CWF ring for the first official time. He said he was ready to make his mark on this company and couldn't wait until Fall Brawl to have his first match. He said that the only problem was, he didn't know who his opponent would be this Sunday. He said he asked Sting to give him some good competition for his first match, and that while he knew Sting would deliver, he was curious who the man would be. McIntyre then asked whoever his opponent this Sunday was to be, to come out now and face him in the ring. After a brief pause, Cesaro made his way out to the ring. Cesaro said that like Drew, he was ready to have his first official match in the CWF. Cesaro said that he couldn't think of a better first opponent than Drew McIntyre. McIntyre said that he looked forward to the challenge this Sunday. The two men shook hands.

From ringside, Tony Schiavone said that it would be a spectacular encounter this Sunday between Drew McIntyre and Cesaro. Jerry Lawler added that he couldn't wait to see what the two men would do inside the ring.

Alexa Bliss defeated Paige in 8:54 by pinfall after holding Paige's tights in a roll up. After the match, Bliss said that last week Sting had gone overboard and threatened to strip her of the title for speaking the truth. She said that she understood why Sting was upset and that she was truly sorry for saying anything about Sting. She then said that she didn't feel sorry one bit about anything she said about Mickie James because every bit of it was the truth. She said that James would pay for attacking her last week, and that this Sunday, she would make sure that the only posing Mickie James would be doing would be for her next magazine shoot and not with the CWF Women's Title.

From ringside, Tony Schiavone said that lucky for Bliss, Mickie James wasn't there tonight. He said that Mickie had to leave for a family emergency earlier in the day, but that she would be at Fall Brawl this Sunday. Lawler said that this match could be one of the most intense battles this Sunday because it wasn't just about the title anymore, it was personal between Bliss and James.

On the video screen, Bray Wyatt appeared. Bray said that the time was drawing near, and that AJ Styles soon would have nowhere to hide. He said that the spirits had spoken to him and they had told him of a great victory this Sunday at Fall Brawl. He said the spirits were never wrong, and that AJ Styles had better pray to whatever God he believes in because this Sunday, his world will come crashing down around him.

Backstage, CWF World Champion Kevin Owens, Samoa Joe, and Rusev were shown making their way down the hall towards the arena. From ringside, Tony Schiavone said that the champion and his friends would join us NEXT!

    (Commercial Break)

Back from the break, CWF World Champion Kevin Owens, Samoa Joe, and Rusev made their way down to the ring. Owens said that Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase were in over their heads, and they paid for it last week. He said that this Sunday, he would put the final touches on his masterpiece and put Rhodes out for good. Samoa Joe said that Ted DiBiase learned that sometimes it's better to leave things alone. He said that DiBiase had to get involved in things and he payed the price for it. Rusev said that it was just like those two guys to think they could handle everything just because their daddies used to be wrestlers. Owens said the family tradition seemed to skip a generation when it came to Cody and Ted.

Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase walked out onto the stage. Rhodes said that it was big talk coming from the three men in the ring, but the fact was that he and Ted were still standing. He said that it would take a lot more than what happened last week to put them out. DiBiase said that he and Rhodes had been through their fair share of attacks over the years, and last week was just the next in line. He said that where he comes from, you deal with problems face to face, man to man, so that's exactly what he was going to do. He said that since Cody was taking care of Owens this Sunday, that left Joe and Rusev for him. Joe said if DiBiase was challenging him and Rusev to a match this Sunday, they would gladly accept it. He said they would take great pleasure in putting DiBiase down once and for all. DiBiase and Rhodes made their way to the ring and both men climbed on the apron. DiBiase said that Joe must have misheard him because he wasn't challenging them to a handicap match, he was challenging them to a tag team mach. Joe said that was funny because he didn't see a partner for DiBiase. DiBiase said that things aren't always what they seemed, but that things can change..."out of nowhere".

Suddenly, Randy Orton nailed Rusev with an RKO and quickly rolled out of the ring to join Rhodes and DiBiase. Owens and Joe were shocked and didn't know what to do. Rhodes, DiBiase, and Orton smiled as they stood on the ramp. The crowd erupted.

From ringside, Tony Schiavone said that he had just been informed that Ted DiBiase will team with Randy Orton this Sunday to face Samoa Joe and Rusev. Lawler said Fall Brawl just got a whole lot better. The announcers then went over the entire card for this Sunday's Fall Brawl, which includes:
Kevin Owens (c) vs Cody Rhodes for the CWF World Heavyweight Championship
Ted DiBiase & Randy Orton vs. Samoa Joe & Rusev
AJ Styles (c) vs Bray Wyatt for the CWF United States Championship
Alexa Bliss (c) vs. Mickie James for the CWF Women's Championship
Carlito & Chris Masters (c) vs. The New Day for the CWF World Tag Team Championships
The Miz w/Maryse vs. Dean Ambrose
    Drew McIntyre vs. Cesaro

    Re: Championship Wrestling Federation

    CWF Fall Brawl

The show opened with a video recap of the events leading up to tonight's show. It showed how Kevin Owens enlisted Samoa Joe and Rusev to help him in his battle with Cody Rhodes, and Rhodes bringing in Ted DiBiase and Randy Orton to even the odds. The video also touched on the other feuds of the show.

After the opening, Tony Schiavone and Jerry Lawler welcomed everyone to Fall Brawl. Schiavone said that there were 7 big matches on the card, including all four titles being defended. Lawler said that one of the matches he was most looking forward to was Ambrose against The Miz, considering how personal it was. Schiavone said that the night was about to get started with the first of four title matches.

    CWF United States Championship
AJ Styles defeated Bray Wyatt in 9:45 by pinfall after the Phenomenal Forearm to retain the CWF United States Championship.
The end of the match came when Harper and Rowan appeared at ringside to help Bray. Rowan got on the apron to distract AJ, allowing Bray to try to attack Styles from behind. AJ moved, causing Bray to slam into Rowan, knocking Rowan off the apron and sent him crashing down on top of Harper. With Bray dazed, Styles hit him with the Phenomenal Forearm for the win. After the match, the Wyatts attacked Styles, with Bray hitting him with Sister Abigail. Bray screamed, "The journey has just begun, Follow the Buzzards!"

Backstage, Renee Young was standing by with Ted DiBiase and Randy Orton. Renee asked the two about their match tonight against Rusev and Samoa Joe. DiBiase said that he was looking forward to getting out there and teaching Rusev and Joe a lesson. Orton said that he was ready to deliver RKOs to both the pieces of scum they were facing tonight. DiBiase said that there was a history with him and Orton, and that would play to their advantage tonight. Orton said that he and DiBiase were looking to take out Joe and Rusev, and then they would sit back and watch Cody Rhodes take home the CWF World Title.

Also backstage, Alexa Bliss was shown in the locker room, preparing for her title defense later tonight. From ringside, Tony Schiavone said that after a very controversial few weeks involving Bliss, Mickie James, and CWF General Manager Sting, things would come to a head tonight as Bliss defends the title against James. Jerry Lawler said that he was looking forward to seeing what would happen between the two ladies tonight.

From ringside, Tony Schiavone and Jerry Lawler talked about the CWF debuts of Drew McIntyre and Cesaro. Schiavone said that both McIntyre and Cesaro had officially debuted this past Wednesday, and would face each other tonight in their first match. Lawler said that both men were very talented and that it should be a tremendous match.

Drew McIntyre and Cesaro battled to a 15 minute time limit draw. During the match, both men had several chances to win but couldn't put the other one away. The end of the match saw Cesaro setting Drew up for the Cesaro Swing, but Drew kicked him away. Drew grabbed Cesaro for the Future Shock DDT, but time expired before he could make the pin.

At ringside, the announcers talked about the last match. Schiavone said that he hoped that we got to see Drew and Cesaro battle again after how the match had just ended. Lawler said the match had lived up to expectations, but we didn't know who the better man was.

Backstage, Renee Young was standing by with Carlito and Chris Masters. Renee asked the two about their tag title defense coming up against New Day. Masters said that no one expected them to be here today, but here they were, and they were the tag team champions. Carlito said that this was the company to be in, and being here meant that you were at the top of the ladder, and that was COOL. Carlito said that tonight, New Day would learn that he and Masters were the top tier in tag team wrestling.

From ringside, Tony Schiavone introduced a video package on the Tag Title match coming up. It showed New Day thinking they had won the titles at Heatwave, only to have Carlito and Masters surprise them and win the titles. It also showed the attacks by Carlito and Masters on the New Day with chairs, leading to Big E challenging both men to a handicap match, then chasing both Masters and Carlito from the ring with a chair of his own.

    CWF World Tag Team Championships
The New Day (Big E and Xavier Woods) defeated Carlito and Chris Masters in 12:54 by pinfall when Big E pinned Masters after the Big Ending to win the CWF World Tag Team Championships.
During the match, Carlito and Masters grew frustrated with not being able to put New Day away. Carlito brought a chair into the ring, however Kofi Kingston grabbed it before Carlito could use it. The ref picked up the chair and went to remove it, while his back was turned, Kofi attempted to hit Carlito with Trouble in Paradise. Carlito ducked, and Kofi hit Xavier instead. Carlito went for the pin, but Big E made the save. After the match, Big E and Xavier celebrated, while Kofi was upset over his mistake.

At ringside, the announcers talked about New Day winning the titles. Schiavone said that while Big E and Xavier were elated with their win, Kofi Kingston was dejected with his actions. Lawler said that things happen in the heat of the match, and people make mistakes. Schiavone said that despite Kofi's mistake, The New Day were the NEW CWF World Tag Team Champions.

Backstage, CWF General Manager Sting was shown in his office while on phone. Sting told the person on the phone that Fall Brawl was a success so far, and he was looking forward to the rest of the night. Sting then said that he had spoken to "the man" again, and he was getting closer to making it official, and bringing him into the company. Sting said that even Triple H would be surprised if this deal went through.

At ringside, the announcers wondered about who Sting was talking about. Schiavone said that the intrigue was building on who it was that Sting was talking about. Lawler said they heard Sting mention this deal last month at Heatwave, but tonight Sting said that the deal was almost signed. Schiavone said that what made it even more interesting was that Triple H was not aware of the deal being made. Schiavone said that hopefully, more light would be shed on this situation soon.

Backstage, Renee Young was shown in the locker room with Dean Ambrose. Renee said that she couldn't wait to see Dean take out Miz tonight. Ambrose said that he planned to do just that, but that his main goal tonight was to make Miz pay for putting his hands on her. Renee said that she knew that Dean would take care of business tonight. Ambrose left the locker room, but the camera stayed on Renee. Renee then said that she dared Maryse to try something tonight because she would take care of her if she did.

At ringside, Tony Schiavone said that things had gotten deeply personal between Miz and Dean Ambrose when Miz brought Renee Young into the situation. Lawler said that Ambrose was defending his wife tonight, and that he wouldn't want to be in Miz's shoes right now.

A video package aired, detailing the events leading up to the Ambrose vs Miz match. It showed Miz costing Ambrose a shot at the CWF World and CWF US Titles. It then showed Miz antagonizing Renee Young backstage, followed by Maryse slapping Renee. It also showed what happened this past week on Showdown, with Miz calling Renee to the ring, then holding her while Maryse slapped Renee again, and then Miz attempting to hit Renee with the Skull Crushing Finale, only to have Dean Ambrose make the save.

Dean Ambrose defeated The Miz in 14:23 by pinfall after Dirty Deeds. During the match, Maryse tried to get involved in the action, but Renee Young ran down to the ring and speared Maryse. Renee and Maryse rolled to the outside, while in the ring, Ambrose hit Miz with Dirty Deeds for the win. After the match, Ambrose and Renee kissed in the ring.

At ringside, Tony Schiavone said that there was at least a happy ending for Dean Ambrose and Renee Young in this saga tonight. Lawler said that it was nice to see that Ambrose and Renee could now hopefully get away from this situation with Miz and Maryse, and move forward with their careers and lives.

Backstage. CWF World Champion Kevin Owens, Samoa Joe, and Rusev were shown in their locker room. Owens said that it was time for phase 1 of the plan. Joe said that DiBiase and Orton wouldn't be a problem anymore after tonight. Owens said that he was counting on them to get the job done, and do it right. Rusev said that he would personally CRUSH Randy Orton tonight.

At ringside, the announcers spoke about the disappearance of Shelton Benjamin. Schiavone
said that no one in CWF had heard from Benjamin since he attacked Charlie Haas a few weeks ago. Lawler said that wherever Benjamin was, he had some big explaining to do. Schiavone said that Sting was working hard to locate Benjamin and get things straightened out.

Rusev & Samoa Joe defeated Randy Orton & Ted DiBiase in 13:47 when Joe pinned Orton after a Musclebuster. The end of the match saw all four men brawling in the ring, with the ref trying to restore order. As the ref dealt with Rusev and DiBiase, Samoa Joe pulled a pair of brass knuckles from his boot, then hit Orton with them, knocking Orton out. Joe then hit Orton with the Musclebuster and pinned Orton for the 3 count. After the match, DiBiase checked on Orton as Joe and Rusev celebrated their win.

Backstage, Renee Young was standing with Cody Rhodes. Renee asked Cody about his title match tonight, as well as the loss earlier by DiBiase and Orton. Rhodes said that losses come with the territory, but it was pretty clear that cheating was involved in the tag match earlier. He said tonight with him and Owens, history would not repeat itself because he would not let Owens screw him out of the title again.

At ringside, the announcers talked about the Women's Title match up next. Schiavone said that there was a lot of controversy surrounding this match. Lawler said that Alexa Bliss had went too far with her comments, and he believed Mickie James would make her regret it tonight.

    CWF Women's Championship
Alexa Bliss defeated Mickie James in 10:31 by pinfall after a Snap DDT to retain the CWF Women's Title.
After the match, Bliss grabbed a mic and said that despite their best efforts, no one could take the Women's Title from her. She said that now Mickie could go back to her adult magazines where she belongs. Bliss said if there was anyone else in the back that thought they could take her title, she'd be waiting for them on Showdown.

Backstage, Renee Young was standing with CWF World Heavyweight Champion, Kevin Owens. Renee asked Owens what his strategy was for tonight's match against Cody Rhodes. Owens said that he was going to put the final nail in the coffin tonight, and end Cody Rhodes' chance of being champion, and that was Renee or anyone else needed to know.

At ringside, the announcers talked about the main event. Schiavone said that after being cheated out of the title last month, Cody Rhodes would be more focused than ever. Lawler said that Kevin Owens had plans in place at every turn so far, and that Cody had better be prepared tonight.

Also at ringside, Schiavone said that the CWF would return to Pay Per View on Sunday, October 29th, for Halloween Havoc. Schiavone then said it was time for the main event.

    CWF World Heavyweight Championship
Cody Rhodes defeated Kevin Owens in 21:42 by pinfall after Cross Rhodes to win the CWF World Heavyweight Championship.
During the match, the referee was inadvertently knocked out after a collision in the corner. While the ref was out, Samoa Joe and Rusev tried to interfere, but Randy Orton and Ted DiBiase made the save, chasing Joe and Rusev away. The end of the match came when Owens screamed toward the stage for Joe and Rusev to come back. Cody jumped off the ropes and hit the Beautiful Disaster, followed by Cross Rhodes for the win.

After the match, Rhodes celebrated his victory. He pointed to the ceiling with tears in his eyes, then pounded his chest in a gesture to his father, Dusty Rhodes. Cody then left the ring and walked over to the guard rail where his wife, Brandi was sitting. He brought Brandi into the ring, continuing the celebration. From ringside, Schiavone said that Cody had achieved his dream, in front of his wife and with his dad looking down on him. Ted DiBiase and Randy Orton returned to the ring to join the celebration. The show ended with everyone celebrating in the ring, as Cody held the title in the air.

    Re: Championship Wrestling Federation

    CWF Showdown
    September 27, 2017

The show began with a recap video from last Sunday's Fall Brawl. It showed Cody Rhodes defeating Kevin Owens, winning the CWF World Heavyweight Championship. It showed the celebration afterwards, featuring Ted DiBiase, Randy Orton, and Brandi Rhodes in the ring with Cody.

After the recap video, the Showdown opening video aired as "Burn it to the Ground" by Nickelback accompanied it. After the opening, Tony Schiavone and Jerry Lawler welcomed everyone to Showdown. Schiavone said that it was expected to be a wild night following Fall Brawl, and we were starting with the brand new CWF World Heavyweight Champion.

Cody Rhodes made his way out to the ring, wearing a suit while holding the CWF World Heavyweight Championship over his shoulder. Rhodes entered the ring and held the title up in the air as the crowed erupted in cheers. Rhodes said that for years, he was told he couldn't do it, he was told that he didn't have what it takes to be the champion. He said that at Fall Brawl, he proved all those people wrong because he was standing in the middle of this ring, as the World Heavyweight Champion. He said that it was a great moment for him and his family on Sunday night, and that he hoped that he had made his dad proud of him. He said that when he started his career, he told his father that one day he would stand on top of the mountain as the World Champion. With tears in his eyes, Cody said, "Dad, I did it!" The crowd rose to their feet with cheers as Cody composed himself in the ring. As Cody wiped his eyes, the crowd chanted, "Dream Is Proud!"

After smiling at the chant, Cody said that now the task was to remain the World Champion, and that he would defend the title against anyone that wanted a shot at it. He said that unlike some champions, he wouldn't hide from a challenge. Kevin Owens walked out onto the stage. Owens said that it was such a heartwarming moment out here right now that it made him sick to his stomach. He said that Cody was standing in the ring with a title that didn't belong to him. Owens said that Rhodes was not the real champion, because there was only one guy that deserved to be champion, and that was him. Rhodes said that he knew Owens would be first in line to get a shot, and that he was more than happy to give Owens his rematch, and they could even do it right here live tonight on Showdown. Owens said that he wanted his rematch but he didn't want it tonight. He said he would get his rematch when and how he wanted it, and he would take back his World Championship. Rhodes said that Owens could name the time and place and he'd be happy to beat Owens again. Owens said that Cody should be careful what he wished for.

At ringside, Tony Schiavone and Jerry Lawler talked about the interaction between Rhodes and Owens. Schiavone said that for someone as boastful and confident as Owens was, he found it strange that Owens refused his rematch tonight. Lawler said that Owens was smart, since he and Rhodes had such a battle this past Sunday, Owens wanted to rest and recover and be 100% going in to the match. Schiavone said it sounded to him like Owens was just afraid of getting beat again.

Backstage, Kevin Owens was shown walking back into the locker room he shares with Samoa Joe and Rusev. As he entered, CWF General Manager Sting walked into the room as well. Sting said that he understood that Owens didn't want his rematch tonight, but he needed a main event for the show tonight. Sting said that tonight it would be Kevin Owens teaming with Samoa Joe and Rusev to face Randy Orton, Ted DiBiase, and CWF World Heavyweight Champion Cody Rhodes. Owens said that he didn't care what match Sting made, but that when the time was right, he was taking his title back.

From ringside, Tony Schiavone said that it was huge main event just signed for tonight, featuring the official in ring reunion of the former Legacy group. Jerry Lawler said that he couldn't wait to see that match later tonight. Schiavone then said that coming up after the break, Tyler Breeze would be in one on one action against Charlie Haas.

    (Commercial Break)

Back from the break, a graphic was shown of CWF Women's Champion Alexa Bliss. From ringside, Schiavone said that later tonight, Alexa Bliss would address everyone about her successful title defense at Fall Brawl.

Tyler Breeze defeated Charlie Haas in 8:21 by pinfall after the Unprettier. After the match, Breeze said that this was the beginning of the rise of Tyler Breeze. He said he and Fandango were looking for an opportunity and they would stop at nothing to get it.

On the big screen, Bray Wyatt suddenly appeared. Bray said that this past Sunday at Fall Brawl was just a simple misstep, but that he wasn't finished with AJ Styles. He said that the spirits had spoken to him yet again, and they told him that a change was coming. He said that AJ Styles was just buying himself time before the inevitable took place. Bray said that in the end, he will take the United States Championship away from Styles and there would be nothing that Styles could do to stop him. He said that the sand in the hourglass was almost gone, and so was AJ's time on top. Bray ended by saying that the only thing Styles could do was, "RUN!"

Backstage, Renee Young was shown standing outside of the office of CWF General Manager Sting. Renee said that she was going to try to get a word with Sting about his recent comments involving a huge signing in the CWF. She said that Sting was currently in a closed door meeting, but as soon as he was done, she would speak to him.

At ringside, Tony Schiavone said that Sting has mentioned a new signing, one that even Triple H would be shocked by. Lawler said that he hoped Renee could get to the bottom of this situation tonight.

Also at ringside, Tony Schiavone said that coming up, we would hear from the NEW CWF World Tag Team Champions, The New Day.

    (Commercial Break)

Back from the break, a recap of Fall Brawl's CWF Tag Title match was shown. It showed Kofi Kingston once again trying to help his team, only to have it backfire and almost cost New Day the match, however Big E was able to overcome it and get the win.

After the video ended, The New Day made their way out to the ring. Big E and Xavier Woods are overjoyed, celebrating their win, however Kofi Kingston seemed depressed. Big E said that at Fall Brawl, New Day became the CWF World Tag Team Champions. He said that they were happy with that, but they couldn't ignore the elephant in the room. Big E and Xavier both looked at Kofi, who nodded his head. Big E said that miscommunication happened with Kofi in the match, and it almost cost them the chance to win the titles. He said that things like that happened from time to time, but the end result was that New Day were the champions so it was all good. Kofi grabbed a mic and apologized to Big E and Xavier and said that he will make it up to them for almost costing them the match. Woods said there was nothing to make up for and that they are a team, a family and they are all the tag team champions. Carlito and Chris Masters walked out and said that they wanted their rematch for the Tag Titles, since Kofi interfered in the match at Fall Brawl. Big E started to respond, but Kofi jumped in and said that the match could happen tonight and he will be one of the two New Day members in the match. Big E and Xavier exchanged a look with each other, then agreed to the match. Kofi then said that they didn't have to wait, and they would do it right now.

    CWF World Tag Team Championships
The New Day defeated Carlito and Chris Masters in 11:47 by pinfall when Big E pinned Carlito after the Big Ending to retain the CWF World Tag Team Titles.
During the match, Big E had things in control when Kofi tagged himself in. Kofi went after both Carlito and Masters, but was taken down eventually. Kofi almost got pinned several times, with Big E making the save for him. The end of the match saw Kofi refusing to tag out and let Big E in until Big E forced a tag himself, and entered the ring. Minutes later, Big E hit the Big Ending for the win. After the match, Kofi seemed to be trying to apologize to Big E and Xavier for his actions during the match.

At ringside, Tony Schiavone said that New Day retained the titles, despite Kofi trying to be a one man wrecking crew. Jerry Lawler said that something was going on within the ranks of New Day, and it revolved around Kofi Kingston.

Also at ringside, the announcers talked about the match this past Sunday between Drew McIntyre and Cesaro. Tony Schiavone said that the match ended in a time limit draw, which didn't make anyone involved very happy. Jerry Lawler said that both Cesaro and McIntyre were disappointed with the result of the match because each man wanted to prove they were the best. Schiavone said that in just a few moments, we would hear from Drew McIntyre regarding the match on Sunday.

Backstage, Drew McIntyre was shown standing in the interview area by himself. McIntyre said that going into Fall Brawl, he was excited to have the chance to face Cesaro. He said that excitement turned to disappointment when the match was over because neither man walked away the winner. He said that he had to know who was the better man between them, and wanted a rematch with Cesaro tonight.

    (Commercial Break)

Back from the break, Renee Young was shown outside of Sting's office. Renee said that she could hear that the meeting Sting was having had ended, and she was expecting him any moment. The door to the office opened and Sting stepped out. Renee asked Sting if he could elaborate on his comments this past Sunday about making another huge signing for the CWF. Sting said that he couldn't say much about it because he was still working on the deal. He said that if, and it was still a big if, but if he gets the deal done, it would be the biggest signing not only for the CWF, but wrestling in general. He said that he hoped to have something concrete to announce soon, but until then everyone would just have to wait.

At ringside, Tony Schiavone announced that during the break, Cesaro had accepted the challenge by Drew McIntyre, and the two would face each other tonight. Lawler said he couldn't wait to see them lock up again. Schiavone then said that The Miz and Maryse had just entered the ring unscheduled. Lawler said that Miz didn't look happy.

In the ring, The Miz and Maryse had taken over, with Miz stealing the mic away from ring announcer David Penzer. Miz said that Dean Ambrose was nothing but lucky to be able beat him at Fall Brawl, and there was no way in hell he can do it again. He said that if it wasn't for Renee Young, he would have put Ambrose down once and for all. Dean Ambrose walked out and said Miz was just making excuses but fact was he got beat on Sunday, end of story. Miz said Ambrose only won because of his nosy wife and couldn't do it again if he tried. Ambrose said that why don't they find out about that tonight. Miz said if Ambrose really wanted to do it, it was fine by him, all they needed was a referee. A referee made his way down, and the match was on.

The Miz defeated Dean Ambrose in 12:19 by pinfall after a roll up following interference from Maryse. The end of the match saw Maryse trip Ambrose as he ran against the ropes, causing Ambrose to turn his attention to her, allowing Miz to roll him up for the win. After match, Miz bragged about the win and asked Ambrose where his little lady is to save him now. Miz attacked Ambrose and held him in place for Maryse to slap him. Renee Young ran out, but Ambrose screamed for her not to get in the ring. Miz hit Ambrose with the Skull Crushing Finale leaving Ambrose knocked out. Miz and Maryse left ring as Renee got in crying as she checked on Dean.

At ringside, Schiavone said that it was sad to see what just happened, and that Renee is distraught in the ring right now. Lawler said that he felt sorry for Renee, but that maybe she should have just stayed out of it to begin with.

A graphic showed that up next was Drew McIntyre against Cesaro in a rematch from Fall Brawl.

    (Commercial Break)

Back from the break, a recap video aired of the Drew McIntyre vs. Cesaro match at Fall Brawl. It showed the highly competitive encounter ending with the time limit expiring, leading to a draw. After the video, Tony Schiavone said that earlier, Drew McIntyre challenged Cesaro to a rematch, Cesaro accepted, and it was about to take place.

Drew McIntyre and Cesaro battled to No Contest in 14:06 when both men's shoulders were counted down. During the match, both tried to score pinfalls on the other multiple times. Near the end of the match, Cesaro went for an Uppercut, but was caught by McIntyre, who spun himself around holding Cesaro, and executed a Northern Lights Suplex. McIntyre bridged up for the cover, and the ref counted to three. McIntyre thought he won the match until he was informed that both of his shoulders were down on the mat for the 3 count as well. McIntyre and Cesaro, who had recovered in the corner, both looked dejected after the announcement.

At ringside, Tony Schiavone said that after another exciting match between the two, we still didn't have a winner. Jerry Lawler said that he couldn't believe that a second match between them had ended in a draw as well.

Also at ringside, Tony Schiavone said that AJ Styles was scheduled to have an interview with Renee Young next, but that Renee was to upset after what happened earlier to conduct the interview. He said that because of that, he would conduct the interview with Styles via the big screen.

On the big screen, AJ Styles was shown in the interview area. From the announce table, Tony Schiavone asked Styles about the remarks from Bray Wyatt earlier tonight. Styles said that Bray Wyatt continued to talk about how he was going to take the US Title, but that in every match they've had, Bray Wyatt has lost. Styles said that if Bray wants another shot at the belt, he can have it, but the end result would be the same as it has been, and that would AJ Styles walking out still the United States Champion. Schiavone then said that Bray Wyatt would be in action coming up next. Styles said that he would be watching the match.

    (Commercial Break)

Back from the break, a short video was shown highlight recent charity work by the new CWF World Heavyweight Champion Cody Rhodes. As the video played, Tony Schiavone said that earlier today, Cody Rhodes had met with a young fan and his family backstage as part of the Make-A-Wish program. Schiavone said that the CWF was proud to support Make-A-Wish, and looked forward to granting more wishes in the future.

Bray Wyatt defeated Fandango in 5:31 by pinfall after Sister Abigail. After the match, Bray grabbed the mic and called out AJ Styles. Styles waked out to answer Bray's call, but was ambushed on the stage by Erick Rowan and Luke Harper. After assaulting Styles on the ramp, Harper and Rowan brought Styles into the ring and presented him to Bray. Bray cradled the semi conscious Styles' head in his arms. Bray said that the clock was ticking and AJ's soul will soon belong to him. The lights in the arena went out, and when they came back on, the Wyatt Family were gone, leaving Styles laying the middle of the ring.

At ringside, Tony Schiavone said that obviously the situation between Wyatt and Styles was far from over. Lawler said that it looked like Bray won't stop until he has completely taken Styles out for good.

Also at ringside, Tony Schiavone said that after the next break, CWF Women's Champion Alexa Bliss would be here to discuss her victory at Fall Brawl and what was next for the Goddess of the CWF. Lawler said he couldn't wait to hear what Bliss had to say.

Backstage, Alexa Bliss was shown walking down the hallway, on her way to the arena. From ringside, Tony Schiavone said that Alexa Bliss would be live in the ring, NEXT!

    (Commercial Break)

Back from the break, Alexa Bliss made her way out to the ring, with the CWF Women's Title around her waist. Bliss entered the ring and took the belt off, placing it over her shoulder. Bliss said that last Sunday she beat Mickie James just like she said she would, proving once and for all that Mickie James wasn't in her league. She said now she has no challenger and that she didn't see anyone in the back that was even worthy of her time, let along challenging for her title. She said that she was the Goddess of Wrestling and no one could ever come close to her. Paige walked out and said that she'd like to test the theory that Bliss is the best. Paige said that wrestling was in her blood and that she would be glad to take the Women's Title away from Bliss. Bliss said that it was funny seeing Paige come out here now, and asked what Paige had done recently to get a shot at her title. Paige said that she was born to wrestle, and that she would do whatever it took to get Bliss in the ring for the title. Bliss said that Paige needed to earn a shot at the title, and not just walk out here demanding it like she owned the place. Paige said that they could wrestle right now and she would earn her shot. Bliss said she wasn't wrestling anyone tonight, but maybe next week. Bliss left the ring, leaving Paige in the ring.

From ringside, Tony Schiavone said that he would love to see Paige challenge Bliss for the Women's Title. Lawler said he agreed with Alexa, and asked what had Paige done to earn a shot at the title. Schiavone said that it looked like Paige was willing to do whatever it took to get a shot at Bliss, and that it might happen next week.

Backstage, Titus O'Neil was shown standing at a podium in front of several photographers. Titus said that he wanted to thank everyone for coming, and that he had just a few words to say. He said that he was here to introduce the Titus Brand to the CWF, and that he was actively looking for clients. He said that he was going to make the Titus Brand the number one brand in sports. He again thanked everyone for coming before walking away from the podium.

At ringside, Tony Schiavone said that apparently the Titus Brand had made the move over to the CWF. Lawler said that he didn't know what the Titus Brand was, but he was interested in finding out.

Backstage, Randy Orton, Ted DiBiase, and Cody Rhodes were shown walking through the hallway. From ringside, Tony Schiavone said that the main event was coming up, but first we would hear from the CWF World Champion Cody Rhodes, Ted DiBiase, and Randy Orton.

    (Commercial Break)

Back from the break, the team of Ted DiBiase, Randy Orton, and CWF World Heavyweight Champion Cody Rhodes made their way out to the ring. DiBiase took the mic and said that at Fall Brawl, Samoa Joe and Rusev had gotten the better of Randy Orton and himself, but they won't let that stop them tonight. He said tonight, he and his guys would take control and show Joe, Rusev, and Owens who runs this place.

Kevin Owens, Samoa Joe, and Rusev defeated Randy Orton, Ted DiBiase and Cody Rhodes in 16:48 by pinfall Owens pinned Rhodes after using brass knuckles. During the match, Randy Orton and Rusev went after each other in the crowd, taking them out of the match. The end of the match came when Joe reached into his boot and pulled out brass knuckles, handing them to Owens. DiBiase saw what happened and went after Joe, knocking him to the outside, where they continued to do battle. In the ring, Owens hit Rhodes with the brass knuckles and scored the pin. After the match, Owens picked up the CWF World Championship and held it in the air, before dropping it on the knocked out Cody Rhodes. The show ended with Owens yelling that he was taking his title back soon.

    Re: Championship Wrestling Federation

    CWF Showdown
    October 4, 2017

The show opened with a recap video of last week's main event which saw Kevin Owens, Samoa Joe, and Rusev defeat Cody Rhodes, Ted DiBiase, and Randy Orton in a six man tag match. It showed Owens standing over Rhodes at the end of the night, with Owens saying that he will regain his title very soon.

After the video, the CWF Showdown opening aired, followed by a live shot of the crowd. From ringside, Tony Schiavone and Jerry Lawler welcomed everyone to the show. Schiavone said that Kevin Owens had been telling everyone backstage that he had a challenge for Cody Rhodes tonight.

Kevin Owens made his way out to the ring to start things off. Owens seemed to be in a much better mood than he was last week. Owens said that last week, he left Cody Rhodes knocked out in the middle of the ring. He said that he had beaten Rhodes so bad, that it took several people to get Rhodes out of the ring after the show went off the air. He said that he liked that image so much, it gave him an idea. Owens said that he had decided that he wanted his rematch for the CWF World Heavyweight Championship to take place at Halloween Havoc, but not in just any regular match. He said he wanted a match where there would be a clear, definitive winner, one where there was no doubt left in anyone's mind who the champion was. He said he wanted his rematch to be a Last Man Standing match. The crowd cheered at the idea of a Last Man Standing match for the championship.

Cody Rhodes walked out and joined Owens in the ring. Rhodes said that he told Owens before that he didn't care what kind of match it was or when it was. He said if Owens wanted a Last Man Standing match at Halloween Havoc, then he could have it. Rhodes said that it took brass knuckles to knock him out last week, but it would take a lot more than that to take away the title from him. Owens said that they'd see about that at Halloween Havoc. Owens said that the thing about that was that Halloween Havoc was 4 weeks away, but that Rhodes should be concerned about tonight instead. Samoa Joe and Rusev made their way out to the ring, set to gang up on Rhodes, until Ted DiBiase and Randy Orton ran out to even the odds. CWF General Manager Sting walked out onto the stage. Sting said that he wasn't going to let things get out of hand tonight. He said last week all six men around the ring competed in a six man tag match, but it seemed like nothing got settled. He said tonight there would only be four of the six men involved in a match, while the other two would be barred from ringside. He said tonight it would be Kevin Owens and Rusev taking on Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes.

From ringside, Tony Schiavone said that it would be a huge main event match tonight. Lawler said that hopefully things would get somewhat settled with DiBiase and Samoa Joe barred from ringside. Schiavone then said that also tonight, Dean Ambrose would address what happened last week involving himself, Renee Young, The Miz and Maryse.

    (Commercial Break)

Back from the break, Cesaro was shown in the backstage area. Cesaro that in two straight matches, he and Drew McIntyre had went to a draw. He said that nothing had been settled between them, and he still wanted to know who the better wrestler was. Cesaro said he wanted another match with McIntyre tonight to decide it once and for all.

At ringside, the announcers discussed the last two matches between Cesaro and McIntyre. Schiavone said that their first match had gone to a time limit draw, and the second one had ended in a double pin. He said that he was pretty sure that McIntyre would accept Cesaro's challenge for another match tonight. Lawler said that he if he knew McIntyre like he thought he did, McIntyre would have requested another match himself tonight. Schiavone then said it was time for the first match of the night.

Tyler Breeze and Fandango defeated Eric Sanchez and Bruce King in 5:27 by pinfall when Breeze pinned King after the Unprettier. After the match, Breeze said that he and Fandango were on a mission to prove themselves in CWF, and earn a shot at the Tag Team Titles. He said that he knew they had work to do, but they were willing to do whatever it took to climb the ladder to the top.

At ringside, Tony Schiavone said that he just gotten word that Drew McIntyre had accepted the challenge from Cesaro for tonight. Jerry Lawler said that he couldn't wait to see match number three between them, and that hopefully there would be a clear winner tonight.

Backstage, Dean Ambrose was shown making his way down the hall. From ringside, Tony Schiavone said that Ambrose would be in the ring after the break to talk about what happened last week.

    (Commercial Break)

Back from the break, a quick replay of last week's altercation between The Miz, Maryse, Dean Ambrose, and Renee Young was shown. It showed Renee coming out to stop the attack by Miz and Maryse, only for Ambrose to yell at her not to enter the ring. It then showed Renee checking on Ambrose after the assault.

In the ring, Dean Ambrose was shown pacing back and forth. Ambrose said that he got his ass kicked last week, but it wasn't the first time and it probably won't be the last either. He said that Miz got the better of him, but the fact was that he was still standing here in the ring and he wanted Miz tonight. He said Miz tried to get Renee involved again last week but he wasn't about to put Renee in a dangerous situation again if he could help it. Ambrose then demanded for Miz to come out right now and face him like a man. The Miz appeared on the big screen and said that he didn't feel like it was worth his time to come out there so he wouldn't be accepting Dean's challenge. Miz said that Ambrose had other things he needed to worry about tonight. Miz then disappeared from the screen.

At ringside, Tony Schiavone said that it was typical of Miz to run away from a one on one challenge. Lawler then said he wondered what Miz meant by saying Ambrose had other things to worry about tonight. Schiavone said he didn't know, but he did know that Ambrose was scheduled to be in action later on tonight.

Backstage, CWF General Manager Sting was shown standing in his office. Sting said that last week, Carlito and Chris Masters used their rematch clause to challenge New Day for the Tag Team Titles. He said that meant that we now needed to determine new number 1 contenders for the titles. Before he could announce how that would be done, Carlito and Chris Masters barged into the office. Carlito said that there didn't need to be any new contenders because he and Masters deserved another shot. Sting said that if Carlito and Masters wanted another shot, they would have to earn it, and they could do so tonight when they face Luke Harper and Erick Rowan, with the winner getting a shot at New Day for the Tag Titles at Halloween Havoc.

At ringside, the announcers reacted to the match just made by Sting. Schiavone said that new number 1 contenders would be determined for the Tag Titles tonight. He then said that Paige was looking to earn herself a shot at Alexa Bliss' Women's Title. He said last week, Paige challenged Bliss, but Bliss refused. Lawler said that Paige wasn't going to give up that easily.

Backstage, Drew McIntyre and Cesaro were shown in a split screen, making their way toward the arena. Tony Schiavone said that the two would do battle up next, and that everyone was hoping for a clear decision tonight.

    (Commercial Break)

Back from the break, a recap of the last two matches between Cesaro and Drew McIntyre were shown. It showed their match at Fall Brawl ending in a time limit draw, then last week when both men's shoulders were counted down for a 3 count.

Drew McIntyre defeated Cesaro in 11:39 by pinfall with Cesaro's foot on the rope, unseen by the referee. During the mach, McIntyre hit Cesaro with the Claymore Kick and made the cover. Cesaro put his foot on the rope before the three count, however the referee never saw it. After the match, Cesaro held his head in pain as he tried to explain to the ref that his foot was on the rope. The ref said he didn't see it and his decision was final.

At ringside, the announcers talked about what just happened. Schiavone said that McIntyre got the win, but Cesaro clearly had his foot on the rope. Lawler said despite McIntyre officially winning, this would make 3 straight matches between the two without a clear, definitive winner.

Backstage, Randy Orton was shown staring into the camera. Orton said tonight, he and Cody will shut the former champion and the Bulgarian Idiot up for good. He said he had a special RKO for Rusev.

At ringside, Tony Schiavone said that coming up, Dean Ambrose would be in action. Lawler said that Ambrose had a lot on his mind tonight, and he wasn't sure if Ambrose would be focused on his match.

    (Commercial Break)

Back from the break, the announcers said that still to come was the number 1 contenders match for the Tag Titles, but up next would be Dean Ambrose taking on Charlie Haas.

Dean Ambrose defeated Charlie Haas in 5:08 by pinfall after Dirty Deeds. After the match, The Miz appeared on the big screen and said that earlier he didn't feel like coming out, but now he would show why that was. The camera then panned out to reveal Maryse standing beside a chair with Renee Young tied to it. Renee screamed for Dean to help her. Miz said if Dean can find her, she's waiting to be rescued. Ambrose sprinted from the ring to look for Renee.

At ringside, the announcers talked about what had just been shown. Schiavone said that he couldn't believe what Miz and Maryse had done to Renee Young. Lawler said it was kidnapping and that he hoped Ambrose found her quickly. Schiavone said that they had to go to a break but hopefully when the show returned, Renee will have been found safe and sound.

Before going to break, a graphic was shown of the Carlito & Masters vs. Harper & Rowan match coming up.

    (Commercial Break)

Back from the break, Dean Ambrose was shown frantically searching everywhere for Renee Young. Ambrose was screaming her name and asking everyone around if they had seen her. As he passed a closed door, Renee's voice could be heard calling for help. Ambrose quickly opened the door leading to the basement of the arena, where he soon found Renee. He quickly started to untie her as she told him to hurry. Just as he got her free, Miz attacked him from behind with a chair. After several shots with the chair, Ambrose was knocked out on the floor. Renee threw herself on top of Dean to protect him. Miz raised the chair in the air again like he was about to hit Renee but he stopped and left the area with a smile on his face. Renee screamed for someone to help Dean.

At ringside, Tony Schiavone said that he didn't know what to say about what had just happened. Jerry Lawler said the only thing he could say was that Renee was safe, but Ambrose needed some help. Schiavone then said it was time to find out who would be the number 1 contenders for the Tag Team Titles.

Tag Titles Number One Contenders Match
Carlito & Chris Masters battled Luke Harper & Erick Rowan to a No Contest in 8:43.
During the match, Kofi Kingston interfered and attacked both teams. After a few moments, Kofi was overpowered and both teams assaulted Kofi until Big E and Xavier Woods made the save.

At ringside, Schiavone said that we still don't know who will challenge New Day for the belts at Halloween Havoc since Kofi interfered in the match. Lawler said that Kofi made a horrible decision tonight and it almost cost him big time if Big E and Woods hadn't have saved him.

Backstage, Paige was shown making her way down the hallway. Tony Schiavone said that Paige would make her case for a Women's Title shot after the break.

    (Commercial Break)

Back from the break, Tony Schiavone introduced a video showing last week's interaction between Paige and CWF Women's Champion Alexa Bliss. It showed Bliss challenging anyone in the back to get a shot at her title, with Paige answering the challenge. It then showed Bliss backing out of the challenge.

After the video, Paige made her way to the ring. Paige said that last week, she answered the call of Alexa Bliss, but Bliss refused to face her. She said that tonight, she was here to challenge Bliss again, and that she wouldn't leave the ring until Bliss answered her challenge. Alexa Bliss walked out onto the stage. Bliss said that she just didn't feel like wrestling tonight, not that Paige deserved to face her anyway. Bliss said that maybe if Paige can defeat her chosen opponent tonight, she might consider giving Paige a shot next week. Paige said Bliss could send anyone she wanted out here, and she would beat them. Bliss then introduced Emma as the opponent for Paige.

Paige defeated Emma by pinfall in 6:21 by pinfall after the RamPaige. After the match, Bliss attacked Paige with the Women's Title and stood over her holding the title up in the air.

Backstage, Ted DiBiase was shown in the locker room with Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton. DiBiase said that he hated that he couldn't be out there tonight, but he knew that Cody and Randy could take care of themselves. He said if something did go down, then he would be there to help them.

Back in the arena, AJ Styles walked out to the ring unannounced. Styles said that he was tired of getting ambushed every single week by Harper and Rowan, and that Bray Wyatt needs to be a man and face him without help. Bray Wyatt appeared on the big screen and said that AJ is just a lamb being led to the slaughter and that his family always has his back no matter what. Harper and Rowan tried to attack Styles in the ring, but Styles was ready for them. Styles avoided Rowan and knocked Harper off the apron. Styles then hit a Phenomenal Forearm on Rowan as Bray called his family back to him. Styles grabbed mic and said if they want to try him, come at him like a man instead of from behind.

From ringside, Tony Schiavone said that after a hectic night, the main event was next.

    (Commercial Break)

Back from the break, Titus O'Neil was shown standing at a podium in front of several photographers once again. Titus said that the Titus Brand was improving each and every week, and that he would soon be introducing the world to the first signing of the Titus Brand. He said until then, he was still scouting for other potential signings in the future.

Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes defeated Kevin Owens and Rusev in 12:14 by pinfall when Orton pinned Rusev after the RKO. During the match, Owens and Rhodes kept trying to go after each other, causing the ref to break them up each time. The end of the match came as Rusev went for a clothesline, which Orton ducked and then hit Rusev with the RKO for the win. After the match, Orton and Rhodes celebrated until Owens and Samoa Joe attacked them from behind. Rusev got to his feet and joined in on the assault. The crowd began chanting for Ted DiBiase, but DiBiase never showed up. Owens hit Rhodes with a PopUp Powerbomb, while Rusev locked Orton in the Accolade. As the show ended, Owens, Joe, and Rusev stood tall in the ring.

    (End of Show)

    Re: Championship Wrestling Federation

I am all for BTB's that are the writers own created Wrestling Company. It gives so many options that nay never happen. That being said I have a hard time with your company's backstory. We see how Triple H runs a business with NXT. He pushes youth and indy guys. So its strange to see your roster almost exclusively current WWE guys. On top of that you make it sound like Vince would be okay with losing have his employees.

Your shows are written decently. You focus a lot on the promo work to push stories. Im not saying you have to fully write out matches but I personally would enjoy it a little more if your match descriptions had a bit more meat on the bones. Hopefully your PPVs do.

When it comes to your first show, I personally wish you had extended the World title tournament more than one episode. Could have really built some feuds and intrigue for your belt.

Like stojy says, your ppv card seems small. 3 of the 6 matches are for the US title, which is a spot of bother for me too. The 4 men going for the US title just lost the World title tournament. And on top of that Dean already beat Miz and AJ already beat Bray. I don't know....I just don't find interest in you US title scene at this moment.

I hope you add another match or two to you ppv. I will definitely check it out to see how it goes. You're off to a good start, just think you're rushing a bit. Anyways, good luck!!

Well shit....this is awkward. Didnt notice there was a second page so i literally only reviewed before your first ppv.

Heatwave was good. I liked your choice of winners and was excited to see where things went feud-wise.

Fall Brawl had an exciting card. But after AJ beat Bray for a third time...I really wanna see someone new challenge.

Thanks for the feedback, it's greatly appreciated. The idea here is sort of like a brand split in WWE, where Vince told HHH to start his own brand, and allowed HHH to "draft" some of the WWE superstars to get it started. I do have plans in the future to involve some of the guys that HHH likes to bring into NXT in the real world, but I want to establish this brand first.

Also the deal with Bray, yeah he has lost quite a bit to AJ, but I wanted to keep a little bit of realism as far as he is concerned, and Bray does seem to lose every big match in the real world, but he never goes away, so he keeps going after AJ despite losing. Don't worry though, that storyline is wrapping up soon.

Again, thanks reading, and I hope you'll continue to do so.

    Re: Championship Wrestling Federation

    CWF Showdown
    October 11, 2017

The show opened with a quick recap of last week, showing how Kevin Owens, Samoa Joe, and Rusev stood tall at the end of the night after a post match assault on Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton. It also showed the crowd chanting for Ted DiBiase to help, but DiBiase never showed up.

The Showdown opening video then played, followed by Tony Schiavone and Jerry Lawler welcoming everyone to the show, just 2 shows away from Halloween Havoc. Schiavone said that it would be a busy night tonight, and that we were going to kick it off with the CWF United States Champion AJ Styles in action.

AJ Styles defeated Charlie Haas in 6:21 by pinfall after the Phenomenal Forearm. During the match, Styles kept looking around the arena, expecting the Wyatt Family to appear at any moment. From ringside, Schiavone said that Styles had to have eyes in the back of his head because you just never knew when the next attack was coming.

After the match, Bray Wyatt appeared on the big screen. Wyatt said that he was impressed with Styles' performance tonight, but that it was just a matter of time before that US Title came home where it belonged. Styles said that he was tired of Bray's games and they should just get it over with here tonight instead of waiting. Styles then challenged Bray to come to the ring and take the title from him if he thought he could. Bray laughed and said that Styles still didn't understand what was happening. Bray said that AJ wasn't in control of what was going to happen, and that unless you walked with the spirits, you could never fully understand the way things are to be. Bray said that he would be there next week, and Styles would regret everything.

From ringside, Tony Schiavone said that Bray was continuing to play games with Styles, and it just might become too much for the Phenomenal One to overcome. Jerry Lawler said that Styles never backed down from anything, and that he believed Styles had what it took to shut Bray up for good. Schiavone said we would find out what Bray has in store for AJ next week on Showdown.

Backstage, Kevin Owens, Samoa Joe, and Rusev were shown making their way toward the arena entrance. Tony Schiavone said that it looked like we were about to get a visit from Owens and his gang.

    (Commercial Break)

Back from the break, the camera panned the crowd as Kevin Owens' music began playing. The crowd booed as Owens, Joe, and Rusev made their way to the ring. From ringside, Tony Schiavone said that Owens and his two associates were riding high after their assault last week of Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton. Jerry Lawler said that he was still wondering where Ted DiBiase was last week, and why he didn't show up to try to help Rhodes and Orton.

In the ring, Owens said that last week, Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton felt the wrath of the 3 most powerful men in wrestling today. He said that it was just a little taste of what Rhodes could expect at Halloween Havoc. Rusev said that Randy Orton should learn his lesson and stay away from him unless he wanted to get CRUSHED again. Samoa Joe said that while the three of them were beating down Rhodes and Orton, everyone wanted to know where Ted DiBiase was. Joe said that he knew where DiBiase was, and instead of telling everyone, he would show them.

A video then aired, showing Samoa Joe attacking Ted DiBiase backstage. It showed Joe hitting DiBiase from behind, then throwing him into a door. Joe then locked on the Coquina Clutch until DiBiase passed out.

After the video, Joe said that was why DiBiase didn't try to save his buddies because he was too busy trying to regain consciousness. Owens said that it was plain and simple that they were the best and Cody Rhodes and his two little friends were just wasting space. He said that soon, everything would be right in the world again once he reclaims his CWF World Heavyweight Championship, and puts an end to the travesty that is the reign of Cody Rhodes.

CWF General Manager Sting appeared on the big screen. Sting said that he had some news for all three guys in the ring right now. He said that Ted DiBiase had demanded a one on one match with Samoa Joe, and that he had granted DiBiase that match tonight. Sting also said that Kevin Owens would be in action as well as he takes on Randy Orton. In the ring, the three men began protesting Sting's decisions.

From ringside, Tony Schiavone said that the joy had quickly turned to despair in the ring for Owens, Joe, and Rusev. Lawler said that after seeing what happened to DiBiase last week, he couldn't wait to see DiBiase lock up with Joe tonight.

Backstage, Renee Young was shown arriving to the building by herself. Renee entered the building, where she was met by Mickie James. Mickie asked Renee how Dean was, and where he was at. Renee said that Dean was at home recovering from the attack by Miz last week. Renee then said that she didn't know when Dean would be able to return.

    (Commercial Break)

Back from the break, the announcers talked about the situation with Drew McIntyre and Cesaro over the last couple weeks. Schiavone said that since Fall Brawl, McIntyre and Cesaro had faced each other 3 times, but that there hadn't been a clear winner in any of the matches. Lawler said that first match was a time limit draw, the second one ended in a double pin, and last week, McIntyre scored a three count but Cesaro's foot was on the rope. Schiavone said that tonight, the two men had agreed to face each other yet again in hopes that one of them would walk away with a clear victory.

In the ring, CWF General Manager Sting was holding a microphone. Sting said he had something he wanted to clear up from last week. He then called out Luke Harper, Erick Rowan, Carlito, Chris Masters, and The New Day. Once everyone had arrived to the ring, Sting said that last week, there was a number 1 contenders match that ended in a no contest thanks to Kofi Kingston interfering. Sting said that since there wasn't a winner, he had decided that both Harper & Rowan and Carlito & Masters would get the title shot at Halloween Havoc in a Triple Threat match against The New Day. Sting then asked New Day to pick which two members of their team would represent them in the title match at Halloween Havoc because tonight, one member from each team would compete in Triple Threat match. Kofi Kingston immediately volunteered to be one of the two New Day members, however after a discussion, Big E and Xavier Woods said they would be the ones involved in the match. Kofi looked depressed but agreed with his team. Sting then asked for everyone else to leave the ring as the Triple Threat Match match would start right now.

Luke Harper defeated Carlito and Xavier Woods in 9:43 by pinfall in a Triple Threat Match when he pinned Xavier Woods. During the match, Kofi Kingston returned to the ring and tried to get involved in an attempt to help Woods. Kofi's plan backfired as he struck Woods with Trouble in Paradise, allowing Harper to score the pinfall. After the match, Kofi checked on Woods, as Big E ran out to the ring to check on Woods as well.

At ringside, Tony Schiavone said that the problems were mounting for New Day as far as Kofi Kingston was concerned. Jerry Lawler said that Kofi seemed desperate to prove to Big E and Woods that he was dependable, but it just seemed to keep backfiring on him.

Also at ringside, Tony Schiavone announced that due to the situation ongoing between Renee Young and Miz & Maryse, CWF General Manager Sting had given Renee the night off. He said that he would like to introduce the temporary replacement for Renee as an interviewer, Mickie James. He then said that James was standing by backstage with Rusev.

Backstage, Mickie James was shown looking uncomfortable as she held the mic next to Rusev. James said that Rusev requested interview time, so the floor was his. Rusev said that last week, he got little satisfaction from defeating Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton. He said that he wanted more, and then challenged Randy Orton to one on one match at Halloween Havoc. He said that if Orton had the guts to accept his challenge, he would CRUSH him at Havoc.

At ringside, Tony Schiavone said that the Drew McIntyre vs. Cesaro match was up next.

    (Commercial Break)

Back from the break, a replay of last week's match between Cesaro and McIntyre was shown. It showed McIntyre hitting the Claymore Kick and covering Cesaro, with the ref counting to three, unaware that Cesaro had his foot on the rope.

Cesaro defeated Drew McIntyre in 10:34 by pinfall after a Swiss Uppercut. The end of the match saw Cesaro hit McIntyre with the Uppercut, and then rolled up a dazed Drew for the pin. However, Drew got his shoulder up before the three count, but it went unseen by the referee. After the match, Drew tried to explain to the ref that his shoulder was up, but the ref said he didn't see it.

At ringside, Tony Schiavone said that after a fourth match, we still didn't have a clear winner. Jerry Lawler said that last week, it was Cesaro with his foot on the rope that the ref didn't see, and this week it was Drew's shoulder being up. Schiavone said that he didn't know what it was going to take to ensure one of these two men walked away as the clear victor.

Backstage, Mickie James was shown standing next to Ted DiBiase. Mickie asked Ted about what happened last week. DiBiase said that he was attacked from behind last week as he was watching the main event. He said that he was left lying unconscious and that when he woke up, he was surrounded by officials and wasn't sure what happened. He said he knows what happened now and the only thing on his mind was getting payback. He said that was what he intended to do tonight, and that Samoa Joe was a marked man.

Also backstage, Renee Young was shown in the women's locker room on her cell phone. Renee told the person that she was talking to that she was fine, that she had made it to the arena, and that she was just hanging out in the locker room with Paige and Mickie James. She also told the person on the phone that she wasn't working, as Sting had given her the night off and Mickie was filling in for her. She then said that she would be on the first plane back to Las Vegas tonight.

At ringside, Tony Schiavone said that it was clear Renee was talking to Dean Ambrose on the phone, who she said was back home recovering from the attack last week. Lawler said that he didn't like the fact that Renee was here alone after what had been happening recently, and that he wished she would have stayed with Dean to be safe.

Backstage, Paige was shown making her way down the hall. From ringside, Tony Schiavone said that up next, Paige was once again going to ask for a title match against Alexa Bliss. Lawler said that Paige was jumping through hoops made by Bliss, and that he hoped tonight, Paige got her shot at the title.

    (Commercial Break)

Back from the break, Paige made her way out to the ring. Paige said that last week, she beat Alexa Bliss' chosen opponent, so tonight she wanted her shot for the CWF Women's Championship. Alexa Bliss walked out onto the stage. Bliss said that Paige may have beaten Emma last week, but that didn't mean she was worthy of getting a shot at the title. Bliss said that she had one more person that Paige would have to defeat to even be considered for a shot at her for the Women's Title. Bliss said that this person was someone she had called into the CWF for one night only, a loan from the other company. She said this woman was someone that she considered to be her best friend and someone that she knows will destroy Paige tonight. Bliss said that tonight Paige would face NIA JAX!

Paige defeated Nia Jax in 7:49 by pinfall with a roll up. During the match, Jax tried to splash Paige in the corner but Paige moved, causing Jax to slam into the turnbuckles, Paige then rolled her up for the win. After the match, Bliss looked disgusted on the outside as Paige said that was two people she's beaten, and she wanted Bliss next.

Backstage, Charlie Haas was shown sitting in the locker room. Haas looked depressed after losing his partner a few weeks ago, and being on a losing streak. Haas grabbed his bag and was preparing to leave the arena when he was stopped by Titus O'Neil. Titus said that he had seen what had been happening to Haas, and he felt like Haas needed some guidance. Titus said that lucky for Haas, he was just the man for the job. Titus said that the Titus Brand was looking for it's first client and that Haas could be that client, and together they could take over the CWF. Haas seemed hesitant about the deal, but Titus put his arm around Haas' shoulder and the two walked away together.

From ringside, Tony Schiavone said that the Titus Brand may have found it's first member. Lawler said that with how Haas' career had been going, the Titus Brand may be just what he needed.

Also backstage, Ted DiBiase was shown walking out of his locker room. From ringside, Tony Schiavone said that DiBiase goes one on one with Samoa Joe, NEXT!

    (Commercial Break)

Back from the break, the video of Samoa Joe attacking Ted DiBiase last week was shown once again. Tony Schiavone said that it was because of this that Ted DiBiase demanded the match with Samoa Joe tonight.

Ted DiBiase defeated Samoa Joe in 9:47 by DQ when Rusev interfered. During the match, DiBiase was relentless as he went after Joe with great intensity. The end came when DiBiase was trying to set Joe up for Dream Street, but Rusev entered the ring and attacked DiBiase. After the match, Joe and Rusev attempted to double team DiBiase but Randy Orton made the save, chasing Joe and Rusev away.

From ringside, Tony Schiavone said that nothing had been settled between DiBiase and Samoa Joe after what had just happened. Lawler said that DiBiase certainly wouldn't be done with Joe any time soon.

Backstage, Drew McIntyre and Cesaro were shown talking about their recent string of matches. McIntyre said that after 4 matches, they still didn't have an answer. Cesaro said that he wanted to know who the better wrestler was, and that he didn't care if they had to wrestle every night for the next year to find out. McIntyre said he agreed, and that they should speak to Sting about getting another match between the two of them.

At ringside, Tony Schiavone said that in just a few moments, they would be joined by The Miz and Maryse. Jerry Lawler said that he was not looking forward to having those two in the ring because of what had happened last week. Schiavone said that surely Miz and Maryse couldn't get any lower than they did last week by tying Renee Young up and then assaulting Ambrose with a chair. Schiavone said that no matter what, Miz and Maryse would be live in the ring after the break.

    (Commercial Break)

After the break, a quick recap of the situation involving Dean Ambrose, Renee Young, The Miz and Maryse last week was shown. It showed Miz and Maryse having Renee tied up, and Ambrose searching the arena for her. It showed Ambrose finding Renee and getting her free, only to be attacked by Miz with a chair, leaving Ambrose knocked out with Renee covering him for protection.

After the video, The Miz and Maryse made their way out to the ring as the crowd booed heavily. Miz said that last week, he single handedly took out the lunatic and sent him home to nurse his wounds. He said because of that, poor little Renee Young was here tonight all by herself with no one to take care of her. Before Miz could continue, Renee Young walked out and entered the ring. Renee said that last week she had been tied to a chair as bait so that Miz could attack Dean with a chair. She said that was enough and that it shouldn't have to go that far. Miz said it will go as far as he wants it to go, and he and Maryse wouldn't stop until they were satisfied. He said that if Renee wants it all to end, he would give her that opportunity. He said he and Maryse will leave Renee alone and she can go home and take care of her pathetic husband. Miz said if that is to happen, all Renee has to do is compete in a match against Maryse. Renee said that she wasn't a wrestler. Maryse said that was Renee's problem, but if she wanted things to get better, all she has to do is take part in the match and win. Renee asked if she won, will Miz and Maryse leave her alone for good. Miz said that was the deal he was offering, and that he would even let her think about it for one week. He said that next week, she either has the match or things will get considerably worse for her and her husband. Miz and Maryse left the ring, as Renee stood there contemplating what she should do.

At ringside, Tony Schiavone said that Renee was in a no win situation. He said that if Renee doesn't accept the match and win, then Miz and Maryse will continue making her life hell. He said that the problem was that Renee wasn't a wrestler, and Maryse is a former champion. Lawler said that Renee was in a sticky situation and he didn't know how she would handle it.

    (Commercial Break)

Back from the break, Tyler Breeze and Fandango were shown standing backstage. Breeze said that while Harper & Rowan and Carlito & Masters were getting a title shot, he and Fandango were left with nothing. He said that he wanted to change that, and that soon, Breezango would be the CWF Tag Team Champions.

In the arena, Randy Orton made his way out to the ring for his main event match against Kevin Owens. Orton grabbed a mic and said that he was officially accepting Rusev's challenge for a match at Halloween Havoc. He said that Rusev should be careful though because a Viper could strike at any time.

Randy Orton defeated Kevin Owens in 11:21 by count out. During the match, Rusev and Samoa Joe ran down to the ring, bringing Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase out as well. The four men on the outside began brawling, prompting officials to come out and try to separate them. Once separated, the referee ejected all four members from ringside, leaving just Owens and Orton. The end of the match came when Orton was in full control of the match but Owens slipped out of the ring and simply walked up the ramp, allowing himself to be counted out. From ringside, Tony Schiavone said that Owens had just proven himself to be a coward for walking out on a match. Lawler said that Owens had nothing to prove here tonight and he was saving himself for the Last Man Standing match at Halloween Havoc. The show ended with Owens walking backstage while Orton celebrated in the ring.

    Re: Championship Wrestling Federation

    Another good show from you.

Really glad Harper picked up the in tonight. Hes such a talent and deserves better then he gets.

I expect that Cesaro vs. Drew at the next ppv will be Last Man Standing, and if so thatd be awesome.

I wasnt overly happy with the outcome of Paige vs. Nia. Nia is a beast and i get that shed be a hard challenge but i would have preferred it come across as more of a tough challenge for Paige to get past. Really show her heart and resilience instead of just a rollup. Personal preference though. Looking forward to Paige vs. Bliss.

Personnally am not a fan of the whole Titus Brand thing in real life but I am very happy to see you giving Charlie Haas a storyline!!!

    Great heel promo by Miz.

Decent main event other than it just squashed my Cesaro Drew Last Man Standing theory....haha.

Keep up the good work sir!

    Re: Championship Wrestling Federation

    CWF Showdown
    October 18, 2017

The show opened with a quick recap of last week, showing Randy Orton defeating Kevin Owens by countout after Owens walked away from the match. It also showed the interaction between The Miz, Maryse, and Renee Young, leading to Renee's big decision tonight.

The Showdown opening video then played, followed by a live shot of the arena as the camera panned around the crowd. From ringside, Tony Schiavone and Jerry Lawler welcomed everyone to the show.

The New Day's music played to start things off, but only Kofi Kingston made his way out to the ring, with Big E and Xavier Woods nowhere in sight. Kofi entered the ring and said that he was here to clear the air. Kofi said that he wanted to make things right, and called out Big E and Woods to join him in the ring. Big E and Xavier Woods walked out, unsure of what was going on. Once they were in the ring, Kofi continued. Kofi said that for the last few weeks, things have been getting messed up for him, and he wanted to apologize for everything. He said that he was simply trying to help the team, but nothing seemed to go right. Xavier Woods said that he understood where Kofi was coming from, but right now it would be best for Kofi to sit things out for a little while. Big E said that he agreed with Woods, and that right now, Kofi was a liability to the team, and they can't afford to have any problems with two teams challenging them for their titles. Kofi said that he understood their decision but that he was going to win back their trust and show that he is a vital member of the team. All three New Day members shook hands, and left the ring together.

At ringside, the announcers discussed what just took place. Schiavone said that Big E and Xavier had made the only decision they could at the moment, and that was to have Kofi take a backseat until things were back on track. Lawler said that all teams go through a phase like this, and that the three of them will come out stronger in the end once everything settled down.

Also at ringside, Tony Schiavone said that another situation that needed sorting out was Paige and her quest to get a title shot against Alexa Bliss. He said that right now, Paige was standing by with this week's temporary interviewer, the returning Lana.

Backstage, Paige was shown standing next to Lana. Lana asked Paige about her attempts to get a Women's Title shot. Paige said that Alexa Bliss had been ducking her for a few weeks now, because she was scared. She said she wanted Bliss one on one and if she wins, she gets a title shot. Bliss walked up and said that Paige hadn't quite impressed her enough, so she wasn't ready to face her just yet. She said that Paige could have another match tonight, and if Paige could win, she would think about giving her a match in the future.

Samoa Joe defeated Tyler Breeze in 6:22 by submission with the Coquina Clutch. After the match, Joe refused to release the hold on Breeze. Ted DiBiase ran out to the ring, causing Joe to release the hold and quickly leave the ring. DiBiase checked on Breeze as Joe backed up ramp with smirk on his face.

    (Commercial Break)

Back from the break, the announcers were shown at the announce table. Tony Schiavone said that tonight, CWF World Heavyweight Champion Cody Rhodes would face Rusev in one on one action in the main event. Lawler said that you know that Owens and Joe wouldn't be far away during that match, but that as was evident before the break, DiBiase and Orton would surely be around as well.

Also at ringside, Tony Schiavone said that last week, AJ Styles challenged Bray Wyatt to a match this week, to finally settle the score between them. Lawler said that Bray had accepted the challenge, but wondered if Bray would come alone. Schiavone said that the match was up next, but first, AJ Styles was standing by backstage with Lana.

Backstage, Lana was shown standing with CWF United States Champion, AJ Styles. Lana asked Styles about his title defense up next against Bray Wyatt. Styles aid that tonight is the night, and that he wants to make sure this is the last chance Bray gets at the US Title. He said that he hoped Bray wouldn't involved his "family", because he wanted it to be just him and Bray in the ring to finally end this whole thing.

    CWF United States Championship Match
AJ Styles defeated Bray Wyatt in 10:12 by DQ when Harper and Rowan interfered to retain the US Championship.
During the match, it remained just Styles and Bray until the closing moments when Harper and Rowan showed up. Harper and Rowan entered the ring and attacked Styles, causing the ref to call for the bell. After the match, the three Wyatt Family members assaulted Styles once again, with Bray hitting Sister Abigail on Styles. Bray kneeled next to Styles with his arms outstretched and said, "Follow The Buzzards!" The lights in the arena went out, and when they came back on, The Wyatt Family was gone with Styles unconscious in the ring.

At ringside, Tony Schiavone said that Styles had retained the US Title, but not in the way he had planned. Jerry Lawler said that once again, the Wyatt Family had interjected themselves and Styles was left knocked out in the middle of the ring. Schiavone said that something had to be done to keep Harper and Rowan out of the match.

    (Commercial Break)

Back from the break, a replay of last week's situation with The Miz, Maryse, and Renee Young was shown. It showed Miz saying that he and Maryse would leave Renee alone if she agreed to, and won a match this week against Maryse.

At ringside, the announcers discussed the big decision Renee had to make. Schiavone said that Renee was in a tough place where she had to either face a former champion in Maryse and win, or continue to have Miz and Maryse make her life a living hell. Lawler said that Miz took Dean Ambrose out two weeks ago, leaving Renee by herself to deal with this situation. He said that Maryse was a former champion, while Renee had never had a match. Schiavone said that he didn't know what Renee Young was going to do, but he didn't envy her situation.

Backstage, Renee Young was shown in the locker room with Mickie James. Mickie asked Renee if she was going through with the match against Maryse tonight. Renee said she didn't have any other choice but to do it. She said that since Dean was hurt, it was up to her to end this whole thing with Miz and Maryse. Mickie asked what Dean said about the whole situation. Renee said that Dean didn't know about the match because she didn't want him to find out until it was over.

At ringside, Tony Schiavone said that he admired Renee Young's determination to end things with Miz and Maryse, but that he didn't know how she would fare in a match. Jerry Lawler said that all Renee could do was the best she could, and you never know what could happen.

Also at ringside, Schiavone said that up next, Paige would be in action. He said that Paige was still trying to get a title shot against Alexa Bliss, but Bliss was once again making Paige jump through hoops to get it. Lawler said he wondered what Bliss had in store for Paige this week.

Paige defeated Emma in 8:37 by pinfall after the PaigeTurner. After the match, Tony Schiavone said that this was now the second time in three weeks that Paige had defeated Emma, and that she had also beaten the WWE's Nia Jax. Jerry Lawler said that Paige had clearly in his mind earned a shot against Alexa Bliss for the title. Schiavone said that it was clear to everyone that Paige deserved a title shot.

    (Commercial Break)

Back from the break, Paige was still in ring after her match with Emma. Paige called out Alexa Bliss, and said that she had beaten three people Bliss had chosen, and that Bliss had no choice but to give her the match. Alexa Bliss walked out and stood on the stage. Bliss said that Paige had been very impressive once again, but she didn't think Paige was worthy of getting her in the ring just yet. Bliss said that Paige would have to do a lot more than what she had already done in order to get a title shot against her. She said that maybe if Paige won another match next week, she would then be worthy of stepping into the ring with the Goddess for the Women's Championship. CWF General Manager Sting walked out and stood next to Bliss on the stage. Sting said that Bliss was right, Paige will have a match next week, but it won't be against an opponent of Alexa Bliss' choosing, instead it would be an opponent of his choosing. Sting said that next week, Paige would go one on one with ALEXA BLISS! He says that as both Bliss and Paige agreed to a few weeks ago, if Paige can beat Bliss, she will get a title shot at Halloween Havoc. Bliss threw a fit on the stage, complaining to Sting that it wasn't fair. Paige smiled in the ring.

At ringside, Tony Schiavone said that finally, Paige was going to get Bliss in the ring for a match, and if Paige can win, she will earn herself a title shot. Jerry Lawler said that it was about time, and that he believed Paige would defeat Bliss, and get her title shot.

Backstage, Cody Rhodes was shown standing in the interview area by himself. Rhodes said that things haven't exactly gone the way he had hoped in his first few weeks as champion, but that tonight was going to change all of that. He said that tonight, he would face Rusev and he would beat Rusev, and that he hoped Kevin Owens was paying close attention. He said that what he does tonight to Rusev was just a small taste of what was in store for Kevin Owens at Halloween Havoc.

At ringside, Tony Schiavone said that last week, one member of each team in the Tag Title Triple Threat match at Halloween Havoc competed in a singles Triple Threat. He said that Luke Harper won that match after Kofi Kingston's assistance backfired. He said up next, the second singles Triple Threat would take place and it would feature, Erick Rowan, Big E, and Chris Masters.

Big E defeated Chris Masters and Erick Rowan in 8:42 by pinfall when he pinned Rowan after the Big Ending. During the match, Kofi Kingston once again showed up and seemed to be trying to help Big E, but Big E ordered him to stop and let him handle it. After the match, Big E and Woods tell Kofi that they had an agreement earlier and that Kofi didn't honor it. Kofi said he was sorry again and that he felt like he still needed to prove himself. He said he will do that next week, and challenged anyone from Wyatt Family or Masters and Carlito to face him next week.

At ringside, Tony Schiavone said that up next after the break, Randy Orton would join them live in the ring.

    (Commercial Break)

Back from the break, Randy Orton's music began playing and Orton made his way to the ring. Orton said that he was sitting backstage and decided that he didn't want to wait until Halloween Havoc to get Rusev in the ring. He said that waiting was for the patient people in this world, but that he wasn't a very patient man. Orton then challenged Rusev to come out and fight him right now. After waiting a few moments with Rusev not showing up, it became clear Rusev wasn't going to accept the challenge. Orton said that he knew Rusev was a coward, but that at Halloween Havoc there wouldn't be anywhere for him to hide.

At ringside, Tony Schiavone said that there was no way Rusev was going to accept that challenge because he couldn't gang up on Orton. Jerry Lawler said that Orton would get Rusev at Halloween Havoc, if he could wait that long and didn't go beat the hell out of Rusev in the back before then.

Backstage, Tyler Breeze and Fandango were shown in the interview area. Breeze said that earlier tonight, he had lost to Samoa Joe, but that he wasn't really interested in a singles career at the moment, but that he was more concerned with the tag division. Breeze said that for a couple weeks, he and Fandango had been asking for an opportunity, but nothing had been provided for them. He said that they were going to make their own opportunity and were challenging anyone to a match at Halloween Havoc. He said that they wanted to make an impact and put themselves in the running for a Tag Title shot, and that they looked forward to finding out who will accept their challenge.

At ringside, Tony Schiavone said that it was a bold challenge by Breeze and Fandango. Jerry Lawler said that it showed guts and determination by Breeze and Fandango to make that kind of challenge, and that it will be interesting to see who, or if anyone would accept the challenge.

Also at ringside, the announcers talked about the Renee Young and Maryse match up next. Schiavone said that he wasn't really looking forward to this one because Renee Young wasn't a wrestler, and that he felt like she was in serious trouble. Jerry Lawler said that he didn't like it either but that he still admire Renee for going through with it.

Before the match, Miz and Maryse made their way out to the ring with Miz grabbing a microphone. Miz said that he just wanted to thank everyone for coming tonight. He said that everyone here was about to be the witness to the end of pretty little Renee Young's time in the CWF. He said that Maryse was going to embarrass Renee tonight and send her home to lay up next to her broken down husband. He said that when it was all over with tonight, he and his lovely wife Maryse would be standing tall in the ring as the one and only true power couple in the CWF, and that would be AWESOME!

The crowd began cheering when Renee Young slowly walked out as Dean Ambrose's music played. Renee hesitantly entered the ring, as the crowd tried to encourage her for the battle. From ringside, Tony Schiavone said that Renee looked scared to death to be in the ring right now. Lawler said that this was the first time Renee had ever competed in the ring and that it might not end well for her.

Renee Young defeated Maryse in 3:19 by DQ when Miz interfered. During the match, Maryse played around with Renee, who had no prior wrestling experience. The end saw Renee start to fight back using some of Dean Ambrose's moves. Renee got the advantage and set Maryse up for Dirty Deeds, but Miz interfered and knocked Renee to the mat, causing the ref to call for the bell. After the match, Miz and Maryse attacked Renee, trapping her in the corner. Surprisingly, Dean Ambrose ran down the ramp and tackled Miz to the mat and began punching him repeatedly. Maryse jumped on Dean's back, letting Miz get out of the ring, Dean shook Maryse off and stopped her from leaving the ring. As the crowd cheered and with Miz only able to watch, Dean threw Maryse to Renee, who hit her with Dirty Deeds.

At ringside, Tony Schiavone said that Ambrose was hear all along, and that he made sure Renee got the last laugh in this situation. Jerry Lawler said that Dean had save Renee, but that Miz and Maryse wouldn't let this go after what just happened.

Backstage, CWF World Heavyweight Champion Cody Rhodes was shown waking down the hallway, on his way toward the ring. From ringside, Tony Schiavone said that Cody Rhodes would face Rusev, NEXT!

    (Commercial Break)

Back from the break, CWF General Manager Sting was shown in his office with Drew McIntyre and Cesaro. Sting said that weeks of matches with an unclear winner have led him to make a decision. He said that Drew and Cesaro would face off at Halloween Havoc in a 30 minute Iron man match. Sting said that once the 30 minutes were over, there would be a clear decisive winner.

At ringside, the announcers talked about the Ironman match. Schiavone said that neither Cesaro or Drew McIntyre had been able to clearly defeat each other, but that the match at Havoc would finally give us closure.

Cody Rhodes defeated Rusev in 12:39 by DQ when Kevin Owens interfered. During the match, Kevin Owens walked out and stood on the ramp, watching as Rhodes and Rusev battled in the ring. Rhodes hit Rusev with Cross Rhodes, but Owens jumped on the apron, distracting the ref and preventing him from making the count. Later in the match, Rhodes hit the Beautiful Disaster but was immediately attacked by Owens for the DQ. Owens assaulted Rhodes, and was soon joined Rusev as they double teamed Rhodes. While the attack was happening, Samoa Joe came through the crowd and stole the CWF World Title from ringside. Joe left the area, but was chased by Orton and DiBiase out of the arena and away from the camera. In the ring, Owens and Rusev stood over Rhodes as the show went off the air.

    Re: Championship Wrestling Federation

    CWF Showdown
    October 25, 2017

The show opened with a video recap of last week, showing Kevin Owens and Rusev double teaming Cody Rhodes after Owens interfered in Rhodes' match against Rusev. The video ended with a shot of Owens as he stood over Rhodes.

The Showdown opening theme played followed by Tony Schiavone and Jerry Lawler welcoming everyone to the final Showdown before Halloween Havoc. Schiavone said that things were heating up heading into Halloween Havoc and that things would only get more intense tonight. Lawler said that it was going to be a big night as everyone was looking for that last shot of momentum heading into this Sunday. Schiavone said that the first match of the night was about to take place.

Randy Orton defeated Steve Murray in 4:24 by pinfall after the RKO. During the match, Schiavone noted that Murray was one of a select few guys that were being given opportunities to impress Sting and Triple H over the next few months. After the match was over, Rusev attacked Randy Orton, hitting him with a savate kick to the back of the head. Rusev locked Orton in the Accolade. Officials hit the ring to pull Rusev away, but Rusev refused to release the hold. Rusev finally released the hold when Lana came to ringside and told him to let go. From ringside, Tony Schiavone said that Orton was in serious trouble this Sunday. Lawler said that Orton may not even make it to Halloween Havoc after the attack by Rusev.

At ringside, the announcers turned their attention to the situation involving the New Day. Schiavone said that recently, Kofi Kingston had been having difficulty getting things straight in the ring. Lawler said that Kofi was trying to help New Day in their matches, but he seemed to always end up messing things up for them instead. Schiavone said that Kofi wanted to prove to Big E and Xavier Woods that he was a vital member of the team, but it just wasn't working out for him. Schiavone then said that Kofi Kingston had requested some time tonight to say something.

The New Day's music began playing as Kofi Kingston walked out by himself, just like he did last week. Once in the ring, Kofi said that for some time, he had been screwing things up for his brothers in the New Day, and that he was disappointed in himself. He said that he knew he was capable of contributing to the team, and that he was going to prove himself tonight. He said this Sunday, Big E and Xavier Woods would be defending the Tag Titles against two other teams. He said that tonight, he wanted to challenge one member of either of those teams to a one on one match, so that he could prove to Big E, Woods, and everyone else that he was capable of getting the job done. Kofi said that he didn't care which team answered the challenge, but he wanted one man to walk down the ramp right now.

From ringside, Tony Schiavone said that this was a bold challenge from Kofi, and that we would find out who, if anyone, would answer Kofi's challenge, after the break.

    (Commercial Break)

After the break, Kofi Kingston was shown in the ring, and standing across from him was Chris Masters. From ringside, Tony Schiavone said that Masters had accepted Kofi's challenge, and the match was about to begin.

Chris Masters defeated Kofi Kingston in 7:14 by submission with the Masterlock. During the match, Kofi seemed unable to mount any type of sustained offense against Masters, and eventually fell to the Masterlock. After the match, Masters left the ring with a smile on his face. From ringside, Tony Schiavone said that Kofi had tried his hardest, but Masters was just too much for him.

Backstage, Tyler Breeze and Fandango were shown in the locker room. Breeze said that last week, he and Fandango made a challenge to anyone on the roster for a match at Halloween Havoc, yet no one had accepted it yet. Fandango said that there had to be someone that would face them this Sunday. Titus O'Neil and Charlie Haas approached them. Titus said that he heard their challenge last week, and he and Haas were here to accept the challenge. Titus said that the Titus Brand was up and running, and that tonight, they would have their first match, and then Sunday they would face Breezango. Tyler Breeze said he looked forward to the match on Sunday. The four men shook hands.

From ringside, Tony Schiavone said that it looked like a new match had been added to Halloween Havoc. Jerry Lawler said that it was two teams looking to prove themselves and gain some traction in the tag team division.

Backstage, Drew McIntyre and Cesaro were shown talking to each other. McIntyre said that he looked forward to the Ironman match this Sunday, where they would finally settle things. Cesaro said that it was time to put the question of who was the better man to rest and they would do that this Sunday. CWF General Manager Sting approached both men. Sting said that while the two would have an Ironman match this Sunday against each other, tonight they would be partners in a tag team match. Sting said that Titus O'Neil and Charlie Haas had asked for a match, and he had decided to put McIntyre and Cesaro in it to face them. McIntyre and Cesaro shook hands and walked away.

Also backstage, AJ Styles walked up to CWF General Manager Sting. AJ said that that he wanted one more match against Bray Wyatt after what happened last week. AJ said he wanted one final match, but he wanted it to be just him and Bray in the ring and no one else. Sting said that he would take AJ's request into consideration and would make a decision later on tonight.

From ringside, Tony Schiavone said that the tag team match just made by Sting was up next, with Titus O'Neil and Charlie Haas taking on Drew McIntyre and Cesaro.

    (Commercial Break)

Back from the break, Titus O'Neil and Charlie Haas were in the ring, ready for their first match as a tag team. Tony Schiavone said that the Titus Brand was having it's first match before they would face Breezango this Sunday at Halloween Havoc.

Drew McIntyre and Cesaro defeated Titus O'Neil and Charlie Haas in 8:47 by pinfall when Cesaro pinned Haas after the Neutralizer. After the match, Cesaro and McIntyre shook hands again. From ringside, Tony Schiavone said that Cesaro and McIntyre made a pretty good team, but they would be opponents this Sunday in the Ironman match. Lawler said that Titus and Haas didn't fare as well, and they needed to get things on track if they wanted to be successful.

From ringside, Tony Schiavone said that last week during the main event, Samoa Joe had stolen the CWF World Championship from ringside. He said that Ted DiBiase and Randy Orton chased Joe out of the arena, and were able to retrieve the title and brought it back to Cody Rhodes. He said that later tonight, Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens would have the official contract signing for their Last Man Standing match this Sunday at Halloween Havoc.

Backstage, Cody Rhodes, Ted DiBiase, and Randy Orton were shown in the locker room. Rhodes thanked Orton and DiBiase for chasing Joe down last week and getting his World Title back. DiBiase said that they always have Cody's back and won't stand by and let something like that happen. Orton said that with how Owens, Joe, and Rusev liked to do things, they all had to be more focused than ever.

Also backstage, Titus O'Neil and Charlie Haas were shown. Titus said that the loss earlier tonight was okay, because it let them see what they needed to work on, and they could improve on it. He said that they just had to look forward and get ready for the match with Breeze and Fandango this Sunday. He said that the Titus Brand would not be denied

Also backstage, Bray Wyatt was shown holding a lantern and staring into the camera. Bray lifted the lantern up and said, "We're Here". Bray then blew the lantern out. From ringside, Tony Schiavone said that Bray Wyatt was in action, NEXT!

    (Commercial Break)

Back from the break, another local talent was shown in the ring. From ringside, Schiavone said that the man, Bruce Thompson, was another of the young talents looking to impress Sting and Triple H and earn his way to a CWF contract in the future. Lawler said that Thompson had a huge obstacle in the way of that goal, and that was Bray Wyatt.

Bray Wyatt defeated Bruce Thompson in 3:39 by pinfall after Sister Abigail. After the match, Bray grabbed a mic. Bray said that he knows AJ Styles wants to face him again and asked Sting to make it happen so that he could bring the US Title home where it belonged. Sting appeared on the big screen and said that he had considered the match requested by AJ Styles and had decided that it will happen this Sunday at Halloween Havoc. He said that in an effort to keep out any outside interference, the match would take place inside of a Steel Cage. He said Sunday, this situation with AJ and Bray ends one way or the other.

Backstage, Kofi Kingston was shown in the locker room with Big E and Xavier Woods recovering from his match earlier in the night. Kofi said that he wasn't done yet, then challenged either Luke Harper or Erick Rowan to face him tonight as well. Big E and Woods tried to talk him out of it but Kofi wouldn't listen. Kofi said that he had to do it because there was still doubt in everyone's minds about him, and he wanted to end all the doubt before this Sunday. Big E and Woods both exchanged a look with each other, then walked away, leaving Kofi alone in the locker room.

From ringside, the announcers started to discuss Kofi's second challenge, but were quickly interrupted. Schiavone said that was some kind of commotion backstage.

The camera cut backstage to show Ted DiBiase and Samoa Joe brawling, with both men slamming each other into walls and tables. DiBiase threw a trash can at Joe, nailing him in the head. Joe rushed at Ted, taking him down onto a table filled with food. Security and referees arrived to break up the fight, followed by Sting ordering them to stop. Sting said if they wanted to get at each other that bad, they can do it this Sunday at Halloween Havoc.

At ringside, Tony Schiavone said that it was violent situation backstage with Joe and DiBiase, but that they would settle it this Sunday. Lawler said he couldn't wait to see them lock up on Sunday after seeing that brawl backstage.

Also at ringside, Schiavone said that before the brawl broke out between DiBiase and Joe, Kofi Kingston made a second challenge to either Rowan or Harper for a match tonight. Lawler said that Kofi had already lost to Chris Masters, and he shouldn't be challenging anyone else tonight. Schiavone said that Big E and Woods had tried to talk him out of it, but it didn't work. He said that Kofi would face one of the Wyatts, after the break.

    {Commercial Break)

Back from the break, Kofi Kingston was in the ring. Kofi said that he wanted one of the Wyatts out here right now and that he would defeat whoever it was. Luke Harper made his way out to the ring, accepting Kofi's challenge.

Luke Harper defeated Kofi Kingston in 5:09 by pinfall after the Discus Clothesline. After the match was over, Big E and Xavier Woods came out to the ring to assist a beaten Kingston. Big E and Woods helped Kofi to his feet, but Kofi shrugged them off and left the ring by himself. Big E and Woods again exchanged a look with each other, then chased after Kofi.

At ringside, the announcers recapped what happened last week with Renee Young defeating Maryse by disqualification after Miz interfered. Schiavone said that Renee did what she needed to do and won the match, but Miz had another plan in store for her. Lawler said that it was almost a very bad situation, but luckily, Dean Ambrose was in the building and saved his wife from serious injury. Schiavone said that afterwards, Renee had hit Maryse with a pretty impressive looking Dirty Deeds. Lawler said that you can bet that Miz and Maryse won't let that go unanswered. Schiavone then said that up next, Dean Ambrose and Renee Young would be in the ring to address Miz and Maryse.

The crowd cheered as Dean Ambrose and Renee Young made their way out to the ring. Once in the ring, Ambrose took the mic. Ambrose said that Miz and Maryse had to be stupid if they thought he was going to let that match happen last week without him being there. He said Renee showed that she is more than just an interviewer and it gave him an idea. He said he had a challenge to make for Halloween Havoc. He said he wanted Miz and Maryse against him and Renee in a mixed tag team match. Renee said that she got a little bit of Maryse last week but she wanted to kick her ass all over this ring at Halloween Havoc. The Miz and Maryse walked out onto the stage. The Miz said that if Ambrose wanted to put Renee in danger again, he had no problem with it, so the match was on. Ambrose said that the only people in danger were Miz and Maryse because they were going to beat their asses this Sunday.

At ringside, Tony Schiavone said that another huge match was just made for Halloween Havoc. Jerry Lawler said that he admired Ambrose and Renee's confidence, but he wasn't sure if putting Renee in another match was the best idea. Schiavone said that he agreed, but with Ambrose involved in the match as well, at least Renee had someone to watch her back.

Backstage, Paige was shown making her way towards the arena. Tony Schiavone said that next, Paige would face Alexa Bliss in a non title match.

    (Commercial Break)

Back from the break, the announcers talked about the ongoing situation between Paige and CWF Women's Champion Alexa Bliss. Schiavone said that for several weeks, Paige had been requesting a match against Bliss, but Bliss had refused to give her the match. Lawler said that Bliss had made Paige jump through several hoops by making her face different opponents over the last three weeks. Schiavone said that all ended last week, when Sting ordered this week's match between Bliss and Paige, where if Paige wins, she gets a title shot against Bliss. Lawler said that for all Paige had gone through, he hoped that she got her title match after tonight.

Paige defeated Alexa Bliss in 9:17 by pinfall after the PaigeTurner. After the match, Paige celebrated her win as the crowd cheered. From behind, Bliss tried to attack Paige, but Paige avoided it and threw Bliss out of the ring. Paige smiled as she pointed at Bliss' CWF Women's Championship. From ringside, Tony Schiavone said that with the win, Paige would face Bliss again this Sunday, but that the CWF Women's Championship would be on the line this time.

At ringside, Tony Schiavone and Jerry Lawler talked about Halloween Havoc this Sunday, and went over the official card, which includes:
Cody Rhodes (c) vs. Kevin Owens in a Last Man Standing match for the CWF World Heavyweight Championship
AJ Styles (c) vs. Bray Wyatt in a Steel Cage match for the CWF United States Championship
    Ted DiBiase vs. Samoa Joe
    Randy Orton vs. Rusev
Dean Ambrose and Renee Young vs. The Miz and Maryse in a MIxed Tag Team match
The New Day (c) vs. Carlito and Chris Masters vs. Luke Harper and Erick Rowan for the CWF World Tag Team Championship
Alexa Bliss (c) vs. Paige for the CWF Women's Championship
Drew McIntyre vs. Cesaro in a 30 minute Ironman match
Breezango vs. Titus O'Neil and Charlie Haas

Backstage, CWF World Heavyweight Champion Cody Rhodes and Number 1 Contender Kevin Owens were shown in a split screen making their way toward the arena. Tony Schiavone said that up next, CWF General Manager Sting would host the contract signing for the CWF World Heavyweight Championship match this Sunday.

    (Commercial Break)

Back from the break, the ring was shown with table placed in the middle of it for the contract signing. CWF General Manager Sting was standing in the ring with the contract, and he introduced both Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens. Owens entered first, followed by Rhodes, and each man took a seat at the table across from each other. Sting said that in his hand was the official contract for the match this Sunday, which would be a Last Man Standing match for the CWF World Heavyweight Championship. He said that both men had read the contract, and all that was left to do was to sign it and make it official. Sting said before they signed, he would allow each man to speak if they had something to say.

Kevin Owens took the mic first. Owens said that it was time for the fairy tale to come to an end, and this Sunday, he would make sure that happened. He said that Rhodes had been carrying around the title for long enough and it was time for it to come back where it belonged. Owens said this Sunday, he would make sure that Cody Rhodes not only couldn't answer the 10 count, but that he wouldn't be able to get back up ever again.

Cody Rhodes then grabbed the mic. Rhodes said thathe had worked his ass off for a very long time to get to where he is today. He said that after everything he had been through, everything he had done, there was no way he was going to let it end this quickly. He said that Sunday night, he would walk in as the champion, and when the final bell rings, he would be the Last Man Standing. He said that the time for talking was over. Rhodes then took the contract and singed his name on it, then slid it across the table to Owens.

Owens looked down at the contract, then signed his name to it. CWF General Manager Sting picked up the contract and said that it was now officially signed. He thanked both Rhodes and Owens, then left the ring. Owens said that Rhodes was right about one thing, the time for talking was over. Owens then jumped across the table and attacked Rhodes. The two battled back and forth, with Owens getting the advantage after raking Rhodes in the eyes. Owens lifted Rhodes up, attempting to powerbomb him through the table, but Rhodes slipped out of it. Rhodes then took the advantage, nailing Owens with several right hands. Rhodes then tired to put Owens through the table, but Owens quickly escaped and ran from the ring. Owens yelled from the ramp that he would see Rhodes on Sunday, but that Rhodes wouldn't walk away. In the ring, Rhodes held up the CWF World Championship as the crowd cheered. The show ended as Tony Schiavone said that this matter will be settled once and for all this Sunday at Halloween Havoc.

    Re: Championship Wrestling Federation

    CWF Halloween Havoc
    October 29, 2017

The show opened with a video recap of the events leading up to tonight's Pay Per View. It showed various moments over the last few weeks featuring Cody Rhodes, Kevin Owens, Dean Ambrose, Renee Young, The Miz, Maryse, The New Day, Ted DiBiase, and Randy Orton leading up to their matches tonight. After the video ended, a live shot of the arena was shown.

From ringside, Tony Schiavone and Jerry Lawler welcomed everyone to Halloween Havoc. Schiavone said that it was going to be a big night, and that hopefully some of the scores get settled between the superstars of the CWF. Lawler said that it was going to be a wild night, and he couldn't wait to see what happened. Schiavone said that the wait wouldn't be long, as it was time for the first match of the night, and it was the 30 minute Iron Man match.

Before the match started, Tony Schiavone ran down the rules of the match. He said the match would last 30 minutes, and that the two men would try to get as many decisions as possible by pinfall, submission, count out, or disqualification. He said after the 30 minutes had expired, the man with the most falls would be the winner.

Drew McIntyre defeated Cesaro in 30:00 by a score of 3-2 in an Iron Man match. During the match, Cesaro scored the first fall 10 minutes into match, after a toss up Swiss Uppercut. McIntyre fought back to score the second fall after the Future Shock DDT. The third fall went to McIntyre, when he rolled Cesaro up with a school boy to take a 2-1 lead with 10 minutes to go. Cesaro tied it up at 2 falls a piece with a Neutralizer with just under 5 minutes to go in the match. The end of the match saw both men trying to score another pinfall, with neither man being able to put the other away. As the clock ticked down, Cesaro went for a Swiss Uppercut in the corner, but McIntyre moved out of the way, then caught Cesaro with the Claymore Kick with less than 30 seconds to go to win the match. After the match, McIntyre and Cesaro stood in the middle of the ring and shook hands with the crowd cheering.

From ringside, Tony Schiavone said that after several weeks of not knowing, tonight we finally got an answer as to who the clear winner was between the two men. Lawler said that McIntyre got the job done tonight, but that Cesaro had put up one hell of a battle. Schiavone said that the two men respected each other, as evident by their handshake at the end of the match. He said now the two could move on to other goals in the CWF, now that they had settled this situation.

Also at ringside, Tony Schiavone said that with Renee Young competing in tonight's event, she would once again not be doing the backstage interviews for the night. He said that in her place for tonight's show was Mickie James. He then said that Mickie was currently standing by with the number one contender for the CWF World Heavyweight Championship, Kevin Owens.

Backstage, Mickie James was shown standing with Kevin Owens. Mickie asked Owens about his title match tonight against Cody Rhodes. Owens said that tonight wasn't just about the title, it was about putting Cody Rhodes in his place once and for all. He said that Cody had gotten a lucky win against him last month at Fall Brawl to steal the title, but that tonight he was going to make sure that he got back what belonged to him. Owens said that tonight's match was Last Man Standing, but that Rhodes would be lucky if he was ever able to stand again for the rest of his life.

At ringside, the announcers began talking about the situation between Randy Orton and Rusev. Schiavone said that it all started when Rusev attacked Orton back in August when Orton was facing Kevin Owens. Lawler said that Orton had been looking for revenge ever since, and tonight he was going to get it. Schiavone said that last Wednesday on Showdown, Rusev once again assaulted Orton, locking him in The Accolade and refusing to let go until Lana came out and got him to let go. Lawler said there was no way Orton was 100% after that attack, and Rusev knew that very well.

Rusev (w/Lana) defeated Randy Orton in 10:39 by referee stoppage after Orton passed out in The Accolade. During the match, Rusev targeted the injured back of Orton, but Orton seemed to fight through the pain and continue going. The end of the match saw Orton ready to hit the RKO on Rusev, only to have Lana climb on the apron, providing a distraction. The distraction was only temporary as Orton caught Rusev sneaking up behind him and hit him with the RKO. Orton made the cover, but Lana pulled the ref out of the ring, preventing the 3 count. Orton started yelling at Lana and the ref, allowing Rusev to get back to his feet and hit Orton with the Savate Kick. Rusev then locked Orton in The Accolade, but Orton refused to give up. Orton struggled for several moments before eventually passing out from the pain, causing the ref to call for the bell. After the match, Rusev and Lana stood in the ring celebrating the win, while the crowd drowned them with boos.

At ringside, Tony Schiavone said that Rusev had targeted the back of Orton in the match, and eventually, it payed off for him. Lawler said that Orton had a big target on him going into the match, and that Rusev knew exactly what he needed to do. Schiavone said that Rusev also took advantage of having Lana back at ringside, as she was directly responsible for Rusev's victory. Lawler said that Lana was a vital part of Rusev's strategy, and that having her back by his side made him even more of a threat going forward.

Backstage, The New Day was shown in the locker room, getting ready for their Tag Team Title defense later tonight. Woods and Big E seemed to be going over strategies for the match, however Kofi seemed to be uninterested in the talk. Woods turned to Kofi and asked him if he was okay. Kofi said that he was fine, and that he would be there to support them tonight.

At ringside, Tony Schiavone said that it seemed like Kofi was in another world. Lawler said that Kofi was feeling like an outsider right now, because he just can't get things right. Schiavone said that all of New Day needed to be on the same page as they defend their titles in a Triple Threat match later on.

Backstage, CWF General Manager Sting was shown in his office, talking on the phone. Sting told the person on the phone that there had been a mishap in the deal between himself and "the man", and that things weren't looking so good anymore. He said that he hoped he could get things back on track, and bring "the man" into the CWF.

At ringside, Tony Schiavone said that no one knew who it was Sting was talking about, but it sounded like things had taken a bad turn in the negotiations. Jerry Lawler said that things like that happened during contract talks, but that he was sure Sting could sort it out. Schiavone said that he just wanted to know who it was Sting was talking about, and asked Lawler if he had any inside scoop on who Sting was talking about. Lawler said that he hadn't heard anything, so whoever it was, Sting was keeping it a secret from everyone.

A video then aired, showing the situation that has developed recently in the Tag Title division. It showed the problems recently between the New Day members with Kofi Kingston inadvertently hitting Xavier Woods, followed by Kofi looking to prove he was dependable.

At ringside, Tony Schiavone said that it was time for the Triple Threat match for the CWF Tag Team Titles. He said that for the last few weeks, Kofi Kingston hadn't been on the same page as Big E and Xavier Woods, and that both Woods and Big E had asked Kofi to stay away from this match tonight because of recent events. Jerry Lawler said that New Day couldn't afford to have another mishap with Kofi with the titles on the line tonight.

The New Day's music began playing as Big E and Xavier Woods made their way out to the ring without Kofi Kingston. Woods and Big E entered the ring as the crowd cheered, with both men holding microphones. Big E said that he and Woods were ready to make a successful title defense tonight, and that despite what it may seem like, The New Day was on the same page, like they always were. Woods said that there had been some incidents recently, but they were past all of that, and that their brother, Kofi Kingston was in the back and would be watching the match, and that they were dedicating the match to him tonight. Big E said that all families had their problems, and that this was no different. He said that when everything was settled after tonight, he and his two brothers would be celebrating a win because..........NEW DAY ROCKS!

CWF World Tag Team Championship Match
Luke Harper & Erick Rowan defeated New Day and Carlito & Masters in 12:47 by pinfall when Harper pinned Woods after the Discus Clothesline to win the CWF World Tag Team Championships.
During the match, Woods and Big E had things in control when Kofi Kingston ran down to the ring. Kingston jumped on the apron, trying to get involved, with both Woods and Big E telling him to leave. Kingston entered the ring and after a brief argument between the three New Day members, Kingston hit Woods with Trouble In Paradise. Big E immediately grabbed Kofi, asking him what he was doing, but Kofi shoved Big E away, and left the ring. Erick Rowan attacked Big E, knocking him out of the ring while Harper hit a groggy Woods with the Discus Clothesline for the win. After the match, Harper and Rowan left the ring with the titles, while Big E checked on Woods in the ring, and stared toward the entrance, wondering what happened with Kofi Kingston.

At ringside, Tony Schiavone said that weeks and weeks of problems between New Day had come to a head tonight. He said that Kingston intentionally hit Woods with Trouble in Paradise tonight, costing New Day the tag titles. Jerry Lawler said that the problems were building for a while within The New Day, and tonight, Kofi Kingston made his choice. Schiavone said that Big E and especially Xavier Woods, had no clue as to what just happened.

Backstage, temporary interviewer Mickie James was standing with The Miz and Maryse. Mickie asked the two about their match with Dean Ambrose and Renee Young tonight. Miz said that tonight would be the crowning moment in his tenure in CWF so far. He said that tonight, he and his beautiful wife would solidify themselves as THE IT COUPLE in not only the CWF, but in the entire world. He said that Ambrose and Young were going to learn a lesson tonight, and that lesson was no one can touch the A LIst Husband and Wife Duo. Maryse said that Renee Young may have gotten the better of her recently but it would not happen again. Maryse then said something in French, then both her and Miz left the interview area.

At ringside, Tony Schiavone said that Miz and Maryse certainly seemed ready for action. He said that in just a little while, the two husband and wife teams would do battle in the ring, but next up, was Ted DiBiase facing Samoa Joe. Jerry Lawler said that this match was one of the main ones he was looking forward to tonight. He said that both DiBiase and Joe were hell bent on taking each other out, and that it should be a tremendous match.

A quick video recap aired, detailing the events leading up to the Samoa Joe vs Ted DiBiase match. It showed the brawl between the two backstage, causing CWF General Manager Sting to make the match for tonight, as well as several of the encounters between the two over the last few weeks.

After the video, Ted DiBiase was shown walking toward the arena entrance when he was approached by Mickie James. Mickie asked DiBiase if he had any last minute comments before his match. DiBiase said that he was going out there tonight with one goal in mind, and that was to defeat Samoa Joe. He said he knew it was going to be physical, and he knew it was going to be a battle, but that he was ready to go to war.

Ted DiBiase defeated Samoa Joe in 13:21 by DQ when Samoa Joe hit DiBiase with brass knuckles in front of the ref. The match was extremely intense, with both men going all out to defeat the other. Near the end of the match, DiBiase took control of the action as he looked to set Joe up for Dream Street. Before he could do it though, Samoa Joe reached into his boot and pulled out a pair of brass knuckles and nailed DiBiase in the head with them right in front of the ref, causing the disqualification. After the match, Joe continued to assault DiBiase, busting him open after several more shots with the brass knuckles. Joe stood over DiBiase, with DiBiase's blood on his hands. Joe raised his bloodied hand in the air in victory, pleased with the carnage he had just created. Officails rushed to the ring to check on DiBiase as Joe made his way up the ramp.

At ringside, Tony Schiavone said that Samoa Joe had resorted to a brutal attack with brass knuckles when he knew he was about to lose the match. Jerry Lawler said that Joe made a statement after the match, but that things were far from over between Joe and DiBiase. Schiavone said that DiBiase would be taken backstage where it was obvious that he would need stitches in his head after the attack with brass knuckles.

Backstage, Big E and Xavier Woods were shown walking into the locker room looking for Kofi Kingston. Kingston was packing his bag when Big E and Woods approached him. Big E asked Kofi what happened out there during their match. Kofi said that he did what he had to do, and that he was done with New Day. Kofi stormed out of the locker room, leaving Woods and Big E standing there in disbelief.

At ringside, Tony Schiavone said that Kofi Kingston had certainly made his intentions very clear, but that he didn't understand why Kofi had did what he did. Jerry Lawler said that only Kofi knew what was going on in his own head right now, but that Big E and Xavier Woods needed some answers. Schiavone said that hopefully those answers would be given on Showdown this Wednesday night.

Also at ringside, Tony Schiavone said that it was now time for the Couples match. He said this match had come about after a verbal altercation between Renee Young and Maryse during an interview, and had escalated to where we are tonight. Lawler said that things had taken place that didn't belong in wrestling with Miz and Maryse tying Renee Young up and holding her hostage, but that it comes to a head tonight. Schiavone said that after this match, we should know who the true Power Couple of the CWF really is.

Dean Ambrose & Renee Young defeated The Miz & Maryse in 9:24 by pinfall when Renee Young pinned Maryse after Dirty Deeds. During the match, Ambrose tried to keep Renee out of the ring as much as possible, however Miz knocked Ambrose into the corner, causing an unintentional tag between Ambrose and Renee. Renee was forced to enter the ring to face Miz, who played around with Renee for a few moments before Maryse asked for a tag as well. With the two women in the ring, Young tried her best to stay on offense but Maryse took control and began punishing Renee. Ambrose finally had enough and entered the ring, putting all four participants in the ring at the same time. With Renee down, Miz and Maryse double teamed Ambrose, with Miz holding Ambrose in place as Maryse slapped him repeatedly. Maryse then hit the ropes, looking for a final shot on Ambrose, but Ambrose ducked out of the way, causing Maryse to hit Miz instead. Ambrose knocked a dazed Miz out of the ring, as Renee recovered and hit a confused Maryse with Dirty Deeds for the win. After the match, Ambrose and Young celebrated in the ring while Miz pulled Maryse ouf of the ring.

At ringside, Tony Schiavone said that it was a complete happy ending for Dean Ambrose and Renee Young tonight, and that they had established themselves as the first couple of CWF. Jerry Lawler said that hopefully this whole thing was over with and that Renee and Dean could move on with their lives and careers now that they had defeated Miz and Maryse.

Backstage, Mickie James was shown standing with CWF World Heavyweight Champion Cody Rhodes. Mickie asked Rhodes how he had prepared for his Last Man Standing match tonight against Kevin Owens. Rhodes said that he had prepared the only way he knew how, and that he was ready for the war he was going to enter tonight. He said that he and Owens had put each other through a lot over the last few months, but that tonight he intended to end the war by defeating Owens, retaining his title, and moving on to the next challenger. He said that he knew Owens would throw everything at him tonight, but that in the end, there would only be one man left standing, and that man was "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes.

At ringside, Tony Schiavone said it was almost time for the second of four title matches tonight. He said that Alexa Bliss had positioned herself as the top woman in wrestling, but that tonight, Paige would be looking to put that statement to the test. Lawler said that Bliss had made Paige jump through numerous hoops to get this match tonight, but now it was time to put up or shut up. He said he believed that we would see a new CWF Women's Champion crowned tonight. Schiavone said that could happen, and that it was time to go to the ring and find out.

    CWF Women's Championship Match
Alexa Bliss defeated Paige in 11:39 by pinfall after Twisted Bliss to retain the CWF Women's Championship.
During the match, Paige had a chance to put Bliss away after hitting her with the RamPaige, however Bliss was just able to get her shoulder up before the 3 count. Later in the match, Paige again had Bliss in trouble and was looking to hit the PaigeTurner, but Bliss reversed it and hit Paige with a Snap DDT. Bliss then went to the top rope and connected with Twisted Bliss for the win. After the match, Bliss celebrated in the ring with her title.

At ringside, Tony Schiavone said that once again Alexa Bliss had done exactly what she said she would do. Jerry Lawler said that Bliss was full of confidence coming into the match and that she had definitely backed up all her big talk. Schiavone said that while some may not agree with everything Bliss said or did, you couldn't deny her success. He then wondered if there was anyone that could take the title away from her after successfully defeating Mickie James and Paige.

Backstage, Bray Wyatt was shown in a dark room, lit only by a single latern that Bray was holding. Bray said that tonight, all the signs had connected and all the sprits had converged for the ascension of a new champion. He said that AJ Styles had led the people down the wrong path for a few months, but it was time for a new leader, a new captain to steer the ship. He said that it was time for the fireflies to light his way as he takes his place atop the throne as the Face of the United States of Amerca. He said that Styles only had one option tonight, "RUN!"

Also backstage, AJ Styles was shown with Mickie James. Mickei asked Styles about stepping into the steel cage with Bray Wyatt. Styles said that he welcomed the cage because it meant that it would only be him and Bray in the ring, with no outside help. He said that he looked forward to ending this thing with Bray once and for all, and that at the end of the night, there won't be a new Face of the United States, but only the Champ that runs the Camp.

At ringside, the announcers discussed the match as the cage was lowered down over the ring. Tony Schiavone said that the cage was not only to keep everyone else out of the ring but it was to keep the two men inside it, where they could settle their problems. Jerry Lawler said that he'd seen a lot of cage matches over the years, and each time someone entered the cage, they came out just a little different. Schiavone said that to win the match tonight, you could either pin your opponent, make him submit, or you could escape the cage itself.

    CWF United States Championship
    Steel Cage Match

AJ Styles defeated Bray Wyatt in 16:57 by pinfall after the Styles Clash to retain the CWF United States Championship.
During the match, the cage came into play several times, with Wyatt ramming Styles face first into the cage on numerous occasions. Styles fought back and got the advantage on Wyatt, taking him down with the Phenomenal Forearm, but Wyatt kicked out of the pin. Later in the match, Harper and Rowan appeared at ringside, just as Styles was attempting to escape the cage through the door, Harper slammed the cage door in the face of Styles, stopping Styles from getting out. Drew McIntyre and Cesaro ran out to the ring and chased Harper and Rowan away, leaving Styles and Wyatt to finish it on their own. The end saw Bray setting up Sister Abigail, only for Styles to escape it. Styles then hit Wyatt with the Styles Clash for the win.

After the match, Styles left the cage, leaving Wyatt laying on the mat. The lights in the arena went out, and when they came back on, Bray Wyatt was gone. Bray's voice was then heard in the arena. Bray said that despite this endeavour coming up short for him, his path was clearly marked. He said that it was time to focus on a new task, a new journey. He said that as long as he walked the earth, not a single living soul was safe, and that soon, he would choose his next target.

At ringside, Tony Schiavone said that it had already been wild night, and that they still had two more matches to go, including the Last Man Standing match for the CWF World Heavyweight Championship. Jerry Lawler said that he thought tonight had been great so far and that he looked forward to seeing how things ended tonight.

Backstage, Cody Rhodes was shown making final preparations for his title defense tonight. In a split screen, Kevin Owens was shown getting ready as well. From ringside, Tony Schiavone said that both men looked ready for battle, but that only one man would walk away tonight as the victor. Lawler said that he'd be surprised if either man was able to walk away from the match tonight.

In the ring, Titus O'Neil and Charlie Haas were already in place for their match. Titus had a mic and said that tonight, he and Haas would take the first step toward solidifying themselves and the Titus Brand as the number one brand in wrestling. He said that after a misstep last Wednesday, they would get back on track tonight.

Breezango defeated Titus O'Neil and Charlie Haas in 7:16 by pinfall when Breeze pinned Haas after the Unprettier. During the match, Haas and O'Neil struggled to get on the same page, with several miscommunication throughout the match. The end of the match saw Breeze hit Haas with the Unprettier while Titus just stood on the apron and watched the pin. After the match, Titus shook his head and left the ring, leaving Haas alone, trying to recover.

At ringside, Tony Schiavone said that the Titus Brand may need to go back to the drawing board, but that it was an impressive win for Tyler Breeze and Fandango. Lawler said that it looked to him like Titus may be regretting his decision to bring Haas into the Titus Brand after tonight.

Also at ringside, Schiavone said that it was time for the main event of the night. He said that the rivalry between Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens had actually started on the first edition of CWF Showdown, when Owens won the tournament to become the first CWF World Heavyweight Champion, and the announcement was made that Cody Rhodes was coming to the CWF. Lawler said that since that night, the two men had been doing battle with each other, and that tonight, hopefully things would finally end between the two. Schiavone then introduced a video recap, detailing the events leading up to tonight.

A video aired, showing all the encounters between Owens and Rhodes coming in to tonight's event. It showed Owens winning the title, with the announcement of Rhodes' arrival, the verbal battles between the two, and all the in ring encounters between the two, including Rhodes defeating Owens last month at Fall Brawl to win the CWF World Heavyweight Title.

After the video, the live arena was shown, as both Rhodes and Owens made their individual entrances and entered the ring. After the formal introduction of the match, it was time for both men to go to war.

During the match, both Owens and Rhodes used several high impact moves, trying to put the other one down for the 10 count. Owens powerbombed Rhodes through the announce table, but Rhodes made it back to his feet at 9, continuing the match. The end saw Rhodes hit Owens with a Cross Rhodes onto the ring steps, and Owens was unable to get back to his feet in time, giving Rhodes the win. After the match, Rhodes leaned against the ropes, holding himself up as the ref handed him the CWF World Championship. Rhodes held the title in the air as the crowd cheered.

    Re: Championship Wrestling Federation

    CWF Showdown
    November 1, 2017

The Showdown opening video and theme song kicked things off this week. After the opening video, Tony Schiavone and Jerry Lawler welcomed everyone to the show, with Schiavone stating that tonight would see all the fall out from Halloween Havoc, and the start of the build toward the next CWF Pay Per View event.

A video then aired, detailing the battle between Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens at Halloween Havoc in the Last Man Standing match. It showed both men doing all they could to put the other away, with Rhodes eventually getting the win after Owens couldn't answer the 10 count after the Cross Rhodes on the steps. After the video, Tony Schiavone said that after the physically grueling contest between Rhodes and Owens, it was Rhodes who walked away from the match still in possession of the CWF World Heavyweight Championship. Jerry Lawler said that he didn't know how either man was able to walk away after the match, and that he was sure that both men were hurting still today.

Cody Rhodes' music began playing as the crowd erupted with cheers, welcoming their champion into the arena. Rhodes walked out onto the stage wearing a suit with the CWF World Championship over his shoulder. Rhodes slowly made his way to the ring, obviously showing the signs of the war with Owens at Halloween Havoc. Rhodes entered the ring and got a mic, ready to speak to the crowd.

Rhodes said that it was one of the toughest battles of his entire career at Halloween Havoc, but he survived it and was standing here tonight still the CWF World Heavyweight Champion. He said that he knew Owens would give everything he had in that match, and that's exactly what happened, but in the end, the Last Man Standing wasn't Kevin Owens, it was Cody Rhodes. Rhodes said that with the win on Sunday, it was time for him to look to the future and to see which of the other hungry superstars in the back wanted to step up and take a shot at the title. Rhodes said that anyone in the back that wanted to be next in line should come out right now.

Kevin Owens walked out to boos from the crowd. Owens stood on the stage with a mic in hand. Owen said that there wasn't anyone in the back that was going to come out because he wasn't finished with Rhodes. Owens said that he did not accept the loss this past Sunday, and that he wanted another shot. Owens said that if Rhodes was a real man, he would accept the challenge and put the title on the line one more time. Rhodes laughed in the ring and said that Owens had already gotten his rematch for the title and had lost it at Havoc. Rhodes said that Owens needed to take a step back and let someone else get an opportunity now. Owens got angrier and angrier by the second. Owens said that no one was getting a shot at the title until he was satisfied and got another chance. He said that there wasn't anyone in the back that was worthy of getting the shot anyway. Rhodes said that he believed there were several guys in the back worthy of a chance at the title and that he looked forward to facing any of them. Owens shouted that it was his shot and that he would get it one way or the other.

CWF General Manager Sting walked out onto the stage and stood next to Owens. Sting said that Cody was right, that there were plenty of guys in the back that wanted and deserved a chance to become the CWF World Heavyweight Champion. He said that since there were so many of them, he had decided to give everyone a chance to earn a shot at the title. He said in 4 weeks, the CWF would hold it's next Pay Per View event, titled Survival. Sting said on that night there would be a match aptly named The Survival Match. He said it would be a 20 man over the top rope battle royal where the winner would become the number 1 contender and would main event Starrcade in December and get a shot at the CWF World Heavyweight Championship. The crowd cheered for the match, however Owens seemed even more furious than he was before.

Owen screamed at Sting that he didn't give a damn about any Survival match, but he wanted another shot at the title right now. Sting said that if Owens wanted a shot at the title, then he could have it, but it wasn't going to just be handed to him, instead he would have to earn it. Sting said that at the Survival event, there would also be a World Title match as well. He said Cody Rhodes would defend the title against the winner of tonight's main event. Sting then announced that tonight Kevin Owens would face the United States Champion AJ Styles, with the winner facing Cody Rhodes for the CWF World Heavyweight Championship at Survival.

In the ring, Rhodes smiled, happy with the match tonight. However, on the stage, Owens looked upset, not wanting to have to earn a shot at the title. Owens glared at Sting, then back at Rhodes before walking backstage.

From ringside, Tony Schiavone said that the Survival event next month had just become a major one, with the CWF Title on the line, as well as the 20 man Survival match for the right to main event Starrcade. Jerry Lawler said that he couldn't wait to see which superstar survived that match, and that he was looking forward to seeing the Owens vs Styles match tonight.

    (Commercial Break)

Back from the break, Renee Young was shown standing backstage with Drew McIntyre and Cesaro. Renee asked the two men what was on their mind tonight. McIntyre said that after facing each other like they have, he and Cesaro had discovered they have more in common than they thought. He said that at Halloween Havoc, he and Cesaro saw injustice being done to AJ Styles during his US Title match, so they made sure that Harper and Rowan weren't part of the ending. Cesaro said that he and Drew had decided to become a tag team and they were coming after the new champs, The Wyatt Family. McIntyre said that Harper and Rowan had never seen anything like the combined force of The Chosen One and The Swiss Superman.

Dean Ambrose defeated Rusev in 11:42 by DQ when Lana interfered. During the match, Ambrose began mounting a comeback on Rusev, but was distracted by Lana on the outside. Lana climbed on the apron and slapped Ambrose in the face, causing the ref to call for the bell. After match, Rusev attacked Dean, and locked him in the Accolade. Rusev refused to let go of the hold until Lana entered the ring and called him off. Lana grabbed the mic and said that Rusev will crush anyone in his path, and that he will win the Survival match and become the number 1 contender at Survival. Lana and Rusev left the ring as officials checked on Ambrose.

At ringside, Tony Schiavone said that Rusev seems more focused than ever now that Lana was officially back by his side. Jerry Lawler said that he feared for anyone that got in Rusev's way going forward.

Also at ringside, Tony Schiavone said that Renee Young was standing by backstage with the United States Champion, AJ Styles.

Backstage, Renee Young was in the interview area with AJ Styles. Renee asked Styles about his victory over Bray Wyatt at Halloween Havoc, as well as his match tonight with Kevin Owens. Styles said at Halloween Havoc, he finally put an end to the war between himself and Bray Wyatt, and now he was ready to move on from that. He said that he looked forward to seeing which man would step up in the future to challenge him for the US Title, but that right now, he was focused on tonight's match and earning himself a shot at the CWF World Heavyweight Title. He said that looking ahead to Survival, he thought a Champion vs Champion match sounded pretty good.

Also backstage, Alexa Bliss was shown walking down the hallway, heading toward the ring. From ringside, Tony Schiavone said that the CWF Women's Champion, Alexa Bliss would be live in the ring, NEXT!

    (Commercial Break)

Back from the break, a quick recap video was shown of the match between Alexa Bliss and Paige at Halloween Havoc.. It showed Paige almost getting the win, however Bliss managed to turn things around and retain the title after hitting Paige with Twisted Bliss.

After the video, Alexa Bliss' music began playing as the CWF Women's Champion made her way out to the ring. The crowd booed, however there was a gathering of cheers for Bliss as she got a mic and prepared to speak. Bliss said that after her win at Halloween Havoc, she had defeated not one, but two former Women's Champions. She said that with that said, there wasn't anyone else left in the back for her to face, and because of that, she had decided to extend an open challenge. She said that tonight would be the beginning of the Alexa Bliss Open Invitational, and that she would defend her title against a "worthy" opponent. She said to qualify for this match, the challenger had to be from the city in which they were in at the time, and that the woman had to be a former champion in wrestling. She said that the challenge was open to anyone except for Mickie James and Paige, whom she had already defeated. Bliss then turned to the stage and asked for the "Hometown Hero" to come out and face her. A young blond woman walked out and entered the ring. Bliss approached the woman and asked her what her name was. The woman replied that her name was Ashley White. Bliss looked astonished and said that everyone should be excited because Ashley White was a former Women's Champion in several companies. Bliss said that Ashley would be the first participant in the Alexa Bliss Open Invitational.

From ringside, Tony Schiavone said that he had never heard of Ashley White, despite Bliss' claim that White was a former Women's Champion. Jerry Lawler said that maybe Schiavone just hasn't been keeping up with women wrestlers elsewhere in the world.

    CWF Women's Championship Match
    Alexa Bliss Open Invitational

Alexa Bliss defeated Ashley White in 3:24 after Twisted Bliss to retain the CWF Women's Championship.
After the match, Bliss said that this would be another name added to her list of defeated former champions, and that next week, the Alexa Bliss Invitational would continue with a new "Hometown Hero".

Backstage, Renee Young was standing by with Randy Orton. Renee asked Orton about his match with Rusev this past Sunday. Orton said that Halloween Havoc didn't exactly go as he planned, but that tonight was a brand new start. He said that that with Survival coming up in just a few weeks, he had a chance to earn the main event match at Starrcade for the CWF World Championship. He said that he had some RKOs ready and waiting for everyone involved in the Survival match, and that the only man going to Starrcade would be the Viper.

    (Commercial Break)

Back from the break, a video aired, showing what took place with the New Day at Halloween Havoc. It showed Kofi Kingston getting involved in the Tag Title match, then Kofi hitting Xavier Woods with Trouble in Paradise on purpose, costing New Day the Tag Team Titles. It then showed Woods and Big E questioning Kofi in the locker room, with Kofi saying he was done and storming off.

After the video, Big E and Xavier Woods made their way out to the ring, not in their regular happy moods. Big E said that tonight wasn't about spreading joy and positivity, tonight was about getting answers from someone that he and Woods thought was their brother. He said that he wanted Kofi Kingston to come out and tell him, Woods, and the world why he did what he did last Sunday. Kofi Kingston made his way out to the ring and stood in front of Big E and Woods. Kofi said that it was funny that now they want him involved. He said that it was funny how now that there was something they needed from him, they were eager to have him come out and take part. Kofi said if everyone wants answers, he would give it to them. Kofi said that he was sick and tired of being like the the third wheel of New Day and being blamed for the the problems that had happened. He said that it was time for some truths to be laid down. He said that he was the only guy in New Day that was a star before the team formed and that without him, New Day would just be some stupid gospel choir joke. He said that he was also the only guy in the this "team" that was truly worthy of being in this ring. He said that he hated being saddled with a video game nerd and gyrating buffoon. Kofi said that now it was all about him and what he wanted, and that he had found someone that was worthy of his time and worthy of being considered a teammate, someone that didn't make him look like a loser. From behind, Titus O'Neil attacked Big E, while Kofi jumped Woods. Kofi hit Woods with Trouble in Paradise, knocking him out of the ring. Kofi and Titus turned their attention to Big E, with Titus picking Big E up and holding him as Kofi came off the top rope connecting with the Midnight Hour double team on Big E. Kofi and Titus left the ring as the Woods and Big E were laid out, and the crowd booing heavily.

From ringside, Tony Schiavone said that he couldn't believe the comments made by Kofi Kingston, or his and Titus' actions. Lawler said that Kofi and Titus added just a little more insult to Big E and Woods by hitting New Day's finisher on Big E. Schiavone said that it was a sad day for all New Days fans.

Backstage, Renee Young was standing with CWF World Heavyweight Champion Cody Rhodes. Renee asked Rhodes what his thoughts were on the Survival match, and the number one contender match coming up later tonight. Rhodes said that it was too far out for him to worry about the Survival match, but that he was extremely focused on who would walk out tonight as the number one contender. He said that he was hoping Styles would win because he didn't think Owens deserved another chance to begin with.

Drew McIntyre and Cesaro defeated Carlito and Chris Masters in 9:39 by pinfall when Cesaro pinned Carlito after the Neutralized. After the match, Luke Harper and Erick Rowan attacked McIntyre and Cesaro, laying both men out. The crowd booed as Harper and Rowan raised their arms in the air, happy with their attack.

    (Commercial Break)

Back from the break, the announcers talked about the main event match coming up next. Schiavone said that either AJ Styles or Kevin Owens would walk away tonight as the number one contender for the CWF World Heavyweight Championship. Lawler said that this match could go either way, but the momentum was with Styles after his successful US Title defense at Halloween Havoc.

Kevin Owens defeated AJ Styles by pinfall in 16:49 after a roll up and a handful of tights. During the match, Styles looked to be headed toward victory when Samoa Joe ran down to the ring and distracted Styles. The distraction allowed Owens to roll Styles up from behind and score the pin by holding Styles' tights. After the match, Owens and Joe assaulted Styles until Cody Rhodes ran into the ring to make the save. Owens and Joe retreated as Rhodes checked on Styles in the ring. From ringside, Tony Schiavone said that Kevin Owens would now get one more shot at the CWF World Championship, but he didn't earn it. Lawler said that a win was a win, and that Owens did win the match. The show ended as Owens laughed on the stage and Rhodes glared at him from the ring.
