    Davey Richards Retires?

Seems Davey Richards is getting ready to retire and become a Doctor

Fair play to the guy for quitting wrestling and taking on a new career in his late 30's takes some guts that does, but good luck to him in the future, and well done for following his dreams.
I have a plan so cunning......

Awwh I guess these last matches of his in GFW Impact I shall be shedding tears. I might need to go back to his ROH days to truly understand the greatness of Davey Richards.

    Re: Davey Richards Retires?

I'd normally LOL at a DR retiring comment, because he says it a lot. However, we do seem to be reaching that point now where he's getting close to calling it. He just cancelled a Fight Club PRO appearance too, so looks like he's scaling back his wrestling schedule.

Crazy how he used to be "the next Bryan Danielson" of the indies at one point, quite a career when you look back at it.

Richards has been saying he's going to retire for one reason or another since...2010?

Hasn't it been the same reason - this one - every time?

Although maybe one of those times he wanted to be a firefighter.

I think it was to be a paramedic. I remember that whole dilemma go. It was definitely made for some ridiculous promos at the time.

Doesn't have the cadence of a "wolf who cried wolf" but who knows.

I can honestly say that I have never had anything I would call a bad blowjob, that wasn't a great experience but up until I started gushing blood I was having a great time!

So I guess, based on the comments , that he does this a lot.

Anyway, even though I preferred Eddie Edwards I always liked Davey and appreciated the effort and the work he put in. The Kevin steen best in the world match is one in fond of.

    Re: Davey Richards Retires?

I haven't seen much of his ROH stuff, I could never really get into ROH much with it's crappy production and half the TV show being crappy infomercials for 1 800 Cash Now.

He and Eddie were a solid tag team, that could put on good matches.

I remember them being extremely generic and boring on the mic though.

They would of looked better in WWE than TNA.

They should of gone there instead.

it's sad, the guy's still healthy and went away without becoming world champion, I always found him to be the more talented and charismatic of the two Wolves

    Re: Davey Richards Retires?

Yeah Daveys the more talented one. I’m surprised TNA didn’t do more with him. I feel like they missed the boat with him. Could have promoted one match a month with him as the Champion against another really good wrestler that they make look like a badass. Davey Richards vs Kurt Angle could have happened but it didn’t happen.

    "Davey's the more talented one"

I couldn't disagree more. Maybe the one who'd have more potential if he didn't suck, but alas.
