I can understand if you're a casual fan but when you claim to be diehard you should know who the players are.
    [07:31 PM] Stonewall Dakson
: I have a good friend that lives near Seattle. He says I should come visit sometime but that is like the exact opposite side of the country from me.
    [07:31 PM] Jon Snow
: theyve got planes for that
    [07:31 PM] Stonewall Dakson
: And those cost lots of money
    [07:32 PM] Jim
: send yourself in a box without any holes with the USPS. Best case scenario, you get cheap traveling, worst case, you're gone forever
    [10:00 PM] Kairi HoHo
: Jerk it in my honor Dak bye.
    [06:18 PM]Stonewall Dakson
: Guys, I am going to see President Trump tomorrow.
    [06:19 PM]Stonewall Dakson
: He's holding a rally in the town I live in. Gonna skip outta work and go.
    [06:19 PM]Stonewall Dakson
: Not the town I live in, the town I work in.
    [06:19 PM]RecyCocks
: You should bring TGR with you
    [06:20 PM]Stonewall Dakson
: If I was taking a long walk off a short pier I would gladly bring TGR with me.
    [11:40 PM]
    Kairi HoHo
: Pretty sure I said I would go gay for Ryan Gosling just saying lol.

    http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/2...-isaiah-thomas

It's official Cavs are sending Kyrie Irving to the Celtics for for point guard Isaiah Thomas, Jae Crowder, Ante Zizic and Brooklyn's 2018 unprotected first-round pick woah. I can't believe a deal got done, but I'm not Celtics fan of course, the system Boston ran fit Thomas perfectly and I'm not so sure Irving will be able to want to roll that same system with him as the star. Should be a interesting Season now because these two teams could be facing each other again in the Eastern Conference Playoffs game and I bet the in Season Games vs both teams are going to be sold out.

That trade should legit be vetoed by the league, there's no excuse for such a one-sided trade to be allowed, especially with the precedent set with the LA deal that got nixed, this is way worse.

Oh wait, it was probably their idea to keep LeBron in Cleveland.

The fact that Cleveland got potentially the No. 1 pick in next year's draft for a dude WHO SAID HE WANTED OUT ... is insane.

Cleveland got waaay more than I thought they would. Only way Boston makes this deal is if Ainge thinks Kyrie is one of the top-15 players in the league.

At first glance this seems like a really one sided deal, and for next year's purpose it is. It gives Cleveland one more last run towards a title. But after next year? They get a top five pick and that's it. LeBron's gone. IT is gone (unless Gilbert signs him to a max---LOL). Idk. It's great for Cleveland now, but in a year? Meh. I think it's kinda even after it all plays out.

Wanna bet 50 bucks right now that either LeBron or IT stay after this season?

No because I wouldn't be at all surprised if IT gets an extension of some kind. LeBron is gone for sure though.

Melo going to the Thunder for Kanter, McDermott and a 2018 Second Round Pick to the Knicks. Should be a very interesting team to watch with Westbrook, George and now Melo with them should help them of course to be a better contender in the West this year.

    Re: 2017 NBA Offseason Thread

Feels weird to think Cavs now have Isaiah Thomas, Derrick Rose, Dwyane Wade, LeBron James and Kevin Love. That said, 4/5 of those aren't what they once were. Nevertheless, they probably still each have the potential to explode every now and then. Interested to see how they actually shape up but I think they're a bit too heavy at PG/SG with egos so to speak (IE: guys who will feel they deserve heavy minutes). I honestly wouldn't be that surprised if they did actually win a title.

On another note. That GSW/OKC Western Conference Final will be fucking insane. Idk how well PG, Melo & Westbrook will mesh, they all seem to me like guys who need to be on the ball. I think in general, NBA is just going to be super fun to watch this year with the amount of both mega teams but also younger teams that are in a position to really compete now. Kinda weird considering the bleak outlook on the NBA last year. This year I'm real excited to follow.

I think last season was peak. Hes definitely downhill from there especially with that injury to start things rocky for him.

It's weird how the NBA tried to reduce tanking and made changes that very well could increase tanking.

Yeah, it seemed like there's now an even better chance for shit teams to get a good pick. I think it's a weird situation personally. I don't think tanking necessarily helps vs. just drafting properly and having a good staff top to bottom. Plenty of teams have done great draft wise CONSISTENTLY without needing top 5 picks every year and those that get top 5 picks every year are still shit year to year. As for the whole resting thing, I just think that's nonsense but obviously Silver is just trying to ensure they aren't losing out on profits. Still, I don't think that he should have a say in who a coach decides to play or not to play.
