Anyone know if this is in an Octagon or is it in a boxing ring?

Conor has no chance of winning Floyd. I can't believe he is doing that. What's next for him, is he gonna challenge Nadal in a tennis match or race against Hamilton?

If he came back and didn't take this fight the shit storm he would of taken like he for so many years before he fought Pacman. Honestly if he wins I like rematch with Manny and Floyd again after this let's say in May of 2018.
Don't drink the Kool Aid, Hoho. How exactly does it prove anything at all about Mayweather's career if he defeats a boxer with a professional record of 0 wins? I know McGregor has a boxing background and all that, and he's a multi-division MMA champ. But again.... 0 professional boxing wins. The other zero is the reasons that Mayweather had to take this fight beyond money.

If this fight is all Mayweather and he wins one of his trademark "didn't get touched" decisions, what does that prove about him or his career? Unless McGregor goes on to grab a host of wins in boxing afterward, its a meaningless win.

Thinking that this has real value as a fight for Mayweather is just buying into the hype.

Yeah, it's just a money grab. Mayweather is likely to smoke him. Imagine this became a trilogy

I think Money will give him the run around for 12 rounds...though I would love to see Conor land just one clean hit on him haha.

I know the guy's legacy he doesn't have anything to prove to me, but he's had a history of ducking fighters because he knew their was a chance he could get hurt. Their are people who thinks he's not the best of his era, might be a small minority, but me saying that is more towards Floyd retelling everyone in the world hey I'm the greatest entertainer in this sport and yaw thought in the Media that this guy could compete with me and deserves to be in the ring with me, and I'm going to clean his clock. HE kinda took that approach in face Manny, and the guy got it done and stuck it in our ears. People keep talking about Connor's power and he does have KO power when he gets the opening, but to be honest Floyd has faced guys in Boxing with just as much Power maybe even better like Pacquiao, Cotto, Maidana, Marquez as well.

And is it confirmed BT Sport are carrying it? I'd have thought Sky Sports would be right in there for it.

Teleconference Call with Dana White and Leonard Ellerbe. Good see that both sides did this and got something outta of it, exposure especially for both sports. They asked about Mauro doing the Commentating, and they haven't talked about that yet. I remember hearing maybe wanting some MMA fights on the card, imagine the sight of that. UFC is doing Embedded promoting the fight, and Showtime always does great behind the scenes work for their fights over the years.

Might try to hit up a sports bar to watch it. Unless Floyd wants to fuck around for showmanship I don't see how this is watchable beyond two rounds.

But everytime I doubt Connor he takes it to the next level so who knows

Still listening and one of the Reporters asked if Connor is getting a special Trainer, legend Trainer or other wise to help him in his Training? Dana pretty much said no he's training with his people's and that's a mistake my eyes. You're going into a Sport that is different than MMA, theirs plenty of Boxing Trainers that could help you to understand the ins and outs of Boxing. Call up Irish Micky Ward come on Connor. If Floyd was going into the Octagon he would get a Trainer to help him, don't like that at all McGregor.

Re: Floyd Mayweather v Conor McGregor Discussion

McGregor does train boxing and he has been sparring with a few boxers from what I recall. But yeah, training striking in MMA is different to pure striking combat sports like Boxing. I don't think McGregor is going to get any better at it in the next two months really. Doesn't matter who he brings in. John Kavanagh and the rest of his team will do the best they can. McGregor's the miracle man.

I think it's fair to assume that most boxers would destroy most MMA fighters in a boxing bout but it works the other way too. McGregor would annihilate Mayweather in a MMA bout. Probably even a kickboxing match too tbh.

Can't wait for McGregor to get frustrated and throw a kick

Hearing that McGregor's friend and well known jiu jitsu practitioner, Dillon Danis (who is 0-0 in MMA) has called out Amir Khan for a match on the undercard. And he means a boxing match. lol.

They brought that up if Connor does that during a fight he'll lose a shit load of money since it's in the contract. Khan has a weak chin so if you Danis can catch him, he has a very good chance to beat him. If not, Khan is going to destroy him with his hands, ask Canelo about speed he was getting his ass handled to him till Canelo caught him with a great punch to KO him.

McGregor is the Miracle Man indeed, but he's no Charlie Conway or Gordon Bombay.

Q: what's more insulting to combat sports? Punk v gall or McGregor v mayweather

2 relatively inexperienced mma fighters albeit one had 0 experience but the other had no business being in the UFC either v an accomplished mma fighter with no business being in a professional boxing match against the greatest boxer of all time

Punk has a name and drew because of it. Connor has a name and will draw from it. Both freak shows in a sense

I say the punk fight since at least mcgregor has a legitimate background in compact sports even if it is not boxing. But it's not the first time to have two athletes from diffrent sports fight, like Ali vs Inoki and even though that was dreadfully bad, it makes my point that it's not uncommon
