Extreme Rules Extreme Rules 2017 - Reigns vs. Rollins vs. Balor vs. Wyatt vs. Samoa Joe

At Extreme Rules, for the first time ever, in a battle that could change the course of the New Era, an Extreme Rules Fatal 5-Way Match between Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, Finn Bálor, Bray Wyatt and Samoa Joe to determine who will compete with Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship.

Raw General Manager Kurt Angle announced the historic showdown on the May 15 edition of Monday Night Raw, and speculation is already running rampant as to who will emerge victorious and get the chance to tangle with The Beast for Raw’s top prize.

Though Reigns’ unbreakable determination helped him overcome The Undertaker at WrestleMania and put Braun Strowman on the shelf for six months, it remains to be seen whether The Big Dog will be able to simultaneously conquer four of the best Superstars in the business under such extreme circumstances.

In addition to the absolute bedlam that such a showdown promises, Rollins and Samoa Joe will both need to get past the enormous animosity that they have for one another in order to concentrate on the entire field of battle in this epic free-for-all.

Lest we forget that the first Universal Champion, Bálor, was never beaten for his title, but was instead forced to surrender it due to injury and is now hungry for an opportunity to challenge The Beast Incarnate.

And one must never count out Wyatt, arguably one of the most cunning competitors in the contest, who continues to show time and time again why he is The New Face of Fear by thriving in the very mayhem that the Fatal 5-Way Match will unleash.

Who will triumph in the Fatal 5-Way Match and become the first Superstar to attempt to conquer The Conqueror? Find out on June 4 at 8 ET/5 PT, steaming live on WWE Network.

Actually, in recent history it has been. Ambrose lost to him at WrestleMania and was WWE Champion a few months later. Same goes for Orton at SummerSlam. Oh and Rollins if you add in that triple threat from the Royal Rumble before he cashed in at the end of Reigns/Lesnar. I'd be happy if Joe won this because it would virtually guarantee him a title down the line.

That's not what I mean, sure everyone wants to work with the biggest draw even if they lose but the way the match goes may annoy them or make them histany to do it. just look at Dean ambrose he said that Brock wouldn't do anything, now it's fine being in a high profile mat h but a lot of wrestlers pride themselves in the matches and the creative side of them.

Samoa Joe is winning to go on to win the title and face Dean Ambrose at Summerslam. According to Master of None.

Either Rollins or Balor win this I think. Leaning towards Finn

This should be a fun match. Probably a clusterfuck but a fun one nonetheless. Not sure who's best placed to go on to face Lesnar. Given that there's unfinished business between Rollins vs Joe and Balor vs Wyatt then common sense dictates that it'll be Reigns. Simply because if he doesn't win it then I'm not sure who he'll go up against next. Wyatt is safely the least likely to win, that I'm sure most of us can agree on.

I would say odds are pretty high that Bray eats the pin

Huh. I haven't kept up with the card for Backlash ... Seems like a pretty good match. I'm doubtful they'll give it to Reigns, I feel like Balor may get his shot again.

Re: Extreme Rules 2017 - Reigns vs. Rollins vs. Balor vs. Wyatt vs. Samoa Joe

If the plan really is Reigns vs. Lesnar at WrestleMania 34, which I don't doubt in the slightest, then there's zero chance Reigns is winning, unless WWE's mental and does something like Reigns & Lesnar swapping the Championship for the entire year culminating at WrestleMania. Which at least, would be a little more interesting than another Roman Reigns underdog story against the newly unstoppable Lesnar. I can't imagine Wyatt winning at this point, same for Joe even though Lesnar vs. Joe is the match I most want of the five. I think it'll be down to Rollins/Finn and the only reason I can see Rollins winning is because Finn/Brock at Great Balls seems a little too soon. Finn Balor getting his title shot at SummerSlam just feels right, with him getting a shot a year after winning the Universal Championship for the first time, The Demon King vs. Brock Lesnar just feels more appropriate for SummerSlam. And the Demon King gimmick is enough to at least feel like he could potentially be a threat. Maybe. They can frame it that way easily enough even if I'm not going to buy it. So I think I just convinced myself Rollins, but Finn wouldn't surprise me either.

In other news, aside from Neville & Aries, this is one of the only matches I'm semi-interested in. I'm honestly considering just skipping this PPV entirely, I really wish Braun hadn't gotten injured. Raw lost pretty much all the momentum it had for me once he was taken off TV. Him vs. Lesnar would've been fantastic.
