I can honestly say that I have never had anything I would call a bad blowjob, that wasn't a great experience but up until I started gushing blood I was having a great time!

Payback, even though it hasn't happened yet.

I kid, honestly, I can't think of any heavy offenders, but if I could vote the second half of Mania, I would, boring matches (Lesnar/Goldberg the exception), lots of wrestlecrap, and really bad match endings.

Backlash was so much worse than Payback on so many levels.

Disagree strongly apart from the main event finish Backlash was no worse than what WWE usually put on.

Please tell me what was terrible other than Jinder winning?

Usos vs Breezango was comedy gold but nothing that I will remember in one week. Corbin vs Sami was meh just like their feud currently (but I popped for Sami's win nonetheless) The six women tag team match was an attrocity and Rowan vs Harper was bad as well. The main event wasn't anything special considering how boring Orton can be and how bad Mahal is in the ring but there were some nice spots including the back suplexes that Orton gave to the Singh Brothers. However, I can't say that it was any shock to me when Jinder won the title. I was more shocked when Henry won the title back in 2011 and when Sheamus won at 09.

Kevin Owens and AJ Styles was pretty good but the ending kinda ruined it for me with Styles not breaking the count before going after Owens on the announce table. Ziggler vs Nakamura was also very good. Those two matches were the only highlights from the show imo

Don't get me wrong, Payback wasn't any major spectacle but I enjoyed it way more than Backlash. And I don't even find it terrible that Jinder won the title. I'll take the jobber WWE Champion over Borton any day.

backlash was boring but it wasn't terrible bisides the main event but however the card was bad. So if we are basing it off the card alone it is the worst but if we are basing it off the show it's not.

Of course it's based on the show and not the card

Everything just felt meh. Zayn/Corbin, Ziggler/Nak and Owens/AJ were all ok matches but could have all been better. I'm not really on the tag team match bandwagon either. Can't say I really found it that funny like a lot of others but each to their own.

On the balance of things for me while Payback was pretty dire too I enjoyed the weak matches more than I did at Backlash.

I'd have backlash down as my least favourite show of the year. I'm not saying it was bad, but for the most part it was pretty unentertaining and I think it's the only WWE show this year where I can't say there wasn't a legit great match on the show. Breezeango was the only thing I was glad I endured the pay-per-view to see.

Backlash would be up there in the top three, I think. There was some fine stuff but it was outweighed by the bad and boy, was there some bad. Nakamura's debut was the worst booked first match I've seen in a while (fucking Elias Samson looks better on the main roster than Nakamura ffs), Welcoming Committee sucked, Sami Zayn and his matches officially seem skippable now and Corbin had somewhat of an unmotivated night and didn't help, Harper and Rowan found a way to make Chicago quiet, and the end was an embarrassing lesson in how to fail at working people.

Randy Orton was great, though. I could watch him fuck that one Singh brother up on the announcers table all day.

I've replayed that a thousand times too and my reaction is always the same. Shock, laughter, then remembering that spot could easily have broken that Singh brother's neck and Orton's face just looks like a guy who doesn't give a shit about his wellbeing.

Re: 2017 Worst Supercard Of The Year Ongoing Discussion

I'm surprised Orton actually showed up for the match at Backlash tbh. I think Backlash wasn't really THAT bad, and by the end of the year it may be on the lower end of the spectrum in terms of ranking the 2017 WWE PPVs, but it won't touch the worst. I wouldn't be shocked to see another bloated and underwhelming card for a PPV that the company views as a bigger deal (probably a RAW one), just like we did last year. I'm still tempted to attend Great Balls of Fire (which I still can't believe is a thing ), and I feel like there's a shot it may suck hard. I could be wrong since there's still time to build a solid card and they make take extra care considering it's a new PPV and all, but I have a feeling they put together a really uninspired mid and lower card and only be focused on the Lesnar match and whatever is the big feud at the time.

Are we all in agreement that Battleground is now the front runner for this then?
