I'm interested to see just how this plays out in Scotland. The independence topic has soured a lot of opinions on the SNP. I don't see Labour gaining back much, if anything. I just hope Scotland doesn't become a Tory country.

Yah Nicola is a broken record about independence isn't she? However I can't see it making too much a difference in honesty, SNP will probably still sweep the board just not in as emphatic fashion as last time out.
I have a plan so cunning......

Pretty much what you'll see is Unionist Lib/Lab supporters flocking to vote Tory whilst you'll probably have socialist Greens/Lab vote SNP. It's pretty much a case of SNP vs Tory everywhere. Scotland will never be Tory. Likely, Labour won't return any MPs and they'll lose their seat. Tories will likely win back some seats down near the border. Hope that prick Mundell loses his seat though. Would be top notch. I think SNP might take the Lib Dems seat too. I'd say SNP is probably going to have around 52-54 seats with the Tories having the rest. SNP will probably have about 45-48% of the vote too. Watch Theresa May and Ruth Davidson of the Ruth Davidson Party try and spin it as the SNP support dropping and the Tory message winning through. Labour have destroyed themselves by siding so openly with the Tories. And the dumb thing is that their only MP is encouraging tactical voting for the Tories like an absolute moron. If Labour hadn't allied with the Tories then I think Jeremy Corbyn would have been well positioned to give the SNP a tanking up here. He would easily challenge them on certain policies because he's more left wing than them. Tories can't challenge SNP on certain things because Sturgeon will smoke them in return for what they are doing now.

She's the leader of a party that's main objective is Scottish Independence so it wouldn't be very good if she shut up about it tbh. She was elected on a manifesto that pledged to get another referendum so yeah. The souring of opinions is stemming from the SNP now starting to go about it as a way to get Scotland to stay in the EU. The problem is that not every single independence supporter voted to remain. The other people with soured opinions are unionists who were already pissed off to begin with and don't seem to understand what a mandate is. They'll use the argument that the prior referendum was supposed to be ''once in a generation'' vote but SNP always cited that a significant change in Scotland's circumstance would change that. Not to mention the utter failure of the 'no' side to live up to campaign promises (The Vow). Until the Unionists are able to get a seat majority at Holyrood and return more Scottish MPs to Westminster than pro-Independence parties then they'll just need to get used to hearing about it. The funny thing is that they're all focused on attacking Sturgeon and the SNP rather than putting any of their policies across. Basically, their whole shtick is 'vote for us so we stay together' whilst the SNP are very clearly focusing on more than just independence and are actively doing their best at Westminster to protect the country's interests as well as stand up for the people of Britain. I'd almost say that Unionist parties talk more about independence and how bad it is more than the SNP talk about wanting it. They're obsessed with the 'SNP bad rhetoric'.

100% SNP won't win as many seats as they did last time but it will be down to tactical voting rather than people actually shifting support to the Tories. The election will pretty much be the prelude to the inevitable Independence vote - it's all about unionism vs independence up here. What makes another independence referendum interesting here is that alot of the arguments that the Unionist side used in 2014 cannot be used again. They can't claim voting No will save Scotland's place in the EU... and infact, they now look like lying, scheming fucks for saying that in the first place. It is amazing that Labour, Lib Dems and the Tories all stood behind a No vote to keep Scotland in the EU... yet now the only party speaking up about staying in the EU is the SNP. Amazing.

Ultimately, election result won't matter. Scotland will have no bearing on the result (as usual) and we will continue to be treated like shit whilst Tories dismantle the NHS, punish the vulnerable, ask women to prove they got raped and laugh as they vote to bomb innocent people in whatever middle eastern country is next for America and Britain to meddle with.
