The question is, monetarily, can GS keep it that way? Or is it a one shot johnny.

I bet Westbrook is counting the seconds till he's a FA I think in 2019. He'll be gone if Bennett doesn't spend money again to bring in some talent there to help this guy.

Christ. How do you overrate someone who averages a triple double with 30 points a game?

Golden State will be in the finals for the next four years unless one of the big four in that team gets bored or crippled pretty much. Only thing thatll stop them is if some other GM manages to assemble another super team but I dont see anyone mustering anything that good unless they go the GSW way and have most of that core home built. Maybe Minny or Philly?

Also anyone but Lebron/Westbrook/Harden is my general mentality for titles. Would love to see Curry/Thompson/Green tie Jordan.

    Re: 2017 NBA Playoffs Discussion

As Zach Lowe pointed out, the Lakers of the 80s appeared destined to rule the NBA for 5 good years after dispelling the Celtics. Then the Pistons came along and wrecked their shit.

The Lakers of 2000-2002 seemed poised to run shit for a while. Then Shaq and Kobe had their falling out and (again) the Pistons came along in 2004 and wrecked their shit.

The Spurs and Thunder appeared positioned to rule the West in 2014 for years go come. Then the Warriors came along and wrecked their shit.

The league changes. Role players make unexpected leaps. Dudes play too many games and get worn down. Chemistry issues create on-court problems. Teams just "figure it out" and enact a new style specifically designed to beat the old one. The Warriors could hold the top spot for the next five years. The Celtics ran amuck for a decade in the 1960s with Bill Russell and their innovative full-court press.

Or some team could enact the perfect full-court press in 2018-2019 and completely wreck their shit. The good thing about basketball is the game goes through stylistic changes and that has a ripple effect on disrupting what we think will happen for the next few years.

It's gonna be the Bucks y'all. Golden State can't shoot on our length.

The Bucks won't be going anywhere the way the league is beginning to look, everyone is trying to form a Superteam ever since Lebron started that trend and the Bucks just don't have a way of pulling a team like that. Antetokounmpo is a beast but they rely on him way too much.

The Bucks definitely have the athleticism to (theoretically) annihilate GSW defensively.

Chances are higher you lose in the finals than win.best find someone else. No sense in getting to the finish line if more often than not you cant cross it.

When the T-Wolves flake out again, trade Parker and Player A/Future Pick for Wiggins to team him and Giannis, fulfilling my NBA 2K dynasty.

We could have an argument about this, but first Parker has to play a full year.

You could have an argument about anyone... reasonably.

So is Phil Jackson senile with trying to deal out Kristaps Porzingis? I suppose depending on that established starter and top 4 pick they get it could be worth it but Porzingis is a guy any team could build around, easily a guy that could one day be an MVP contender, seems a bit silly to get rid of him based off the slights Phil Jackson feels.

The dude coached Dennis fucking Rodman but he's offended by a player missing an exit meeting?

I've always loved Phil the coach, but damn. The dude has lost it. Dolan needs to get rid of him. But then again, he's an idiot too.

    Sorry Knicks fans...
