Not that it matters because music is music and elitism is for dummies, but if you're gonna fire shots you should probably do the reading first.
LOL...they were credited...yes. I did see that ahead of time.

And I suppose you were in the room at the time and know that they weren't involved? Nevermind that one of them has literally gone on to be one of the most iconic musicians in pop music of the last decade.

This could have been a nice light-hearted debate about two popular guilty pleasure bands, no one needs you coming in here and shitting on the question just to prove what elite musical taste you have.

Sure the guys auditioned to be in the group but it's not like they didn't have anything to do with it. Brian Littrell, who postponed open-heart surgery to still be with the band, co-wrote some of their biggest hits. Him and Kevin Richardson are also cousins and got their start singing gospel music which helped the two of them for the future.

Saying Justin Timberlake doesn't have talent would be pretty silly. And for the record I like them both equally I am a fan of pop music. So you can hate me but it ain't lie baby. Bye bye bye

Were you? Come on. Elite musical taste...haha. Has any debate ever been light-hearted...ever? So, I'm not allowed to have an opinion in this debate...which is stating your opinion about the subject at hand. I know I'm a/the_____________here.

    Re: The Music Debate Club

I must have missed where the debate was on what a musician is rather than who are the better musical acts between NSync and Backstreet Boys? That isn't taking part in the debate topic, that's changing it completely.

Let's not be snobby about this and music tastes and shit but if you want to get technical about it - they were singing and your voice is an instrument so therefore they were playing an instrument... which is what a musician does.

Backstreet Boys ftw tbh. Never really got into NSync.

I do think Timberlake grew into his own though and he smokes Backstreet Boys as an act by himself.

    Re: The Music Debate Club

I'm on record as having NSync over this one as I think they have consistently more interesting tunes, particularly on the aforementioned 'Celebrity.' Most people know 'No Strings Attached' most intimately but their third album is the highlight of their discography and I think and is really one of the best pop albums of the new millennium. "Pop" is just a filthy good song.

The BSBs are fine too but I think they relied a bit too heavy on the formula. They've made some decent adult alternative stuff in the years since though.

    You know what?
I'm sick and tired of hearing all these people talk about....

whats the the deal with this snob life and when's it gonna fade out?

what you got to realize is their music was not a trend.

They got the gift of melody(being musicians) and they brought it till the end.(when tlake ditched them)

Pretty much what I was about to say. BSB is the tried and true formula whilst N*SYNC felt fresher. I had two teenage cousins living with us at the time who were at the right age for teenage girl pop influence so I got a face full of the stuff.

BSB is catchy and all but NSYNC has got the flow.

Backstreet Boys have "As Long As You Love Me" & "I Want It That Way" in their back catalogue. That'll do for me.

NSync weren't as big over here as BSB were. We had our own stuff like 5ive to keep us entertained.

Nsync by a mile. The fact that they produced Justin Timberlake seals it.

Played both at worked today. BSB rocked the customers heart more. Also No Strings Attached is far better than Celebrity.

Got a handjob to a Backstreet song once. They win.

    Re: The Music Debate Club

I was a huge a NYSYNC fan when I was younger. Lance was my favorite. I owned all of their albums. I debated with BSB fans all day at school. Now that I'm 23, my mind has changed.

BSB is superior. I feel like their music has aged a lot better, their albums overall are a better listening experience, plus they continue to release total bops even now. In A World Like This, Just Want You To Know, Incomplete, bitch, that's just within the last like 7 years or something. My loyalties have shifted. BSB is better. Their voices, their songs, their dancing. They are the superior boyband. The kings of boybands.

    Re: The Music Debate Club

I still love a bit of 90's pop and both of these fall into that category. I never really liked NSYNC to be honest, i'm not sure why it was just something about them that I didn't like. As for Backstreet Boys, yeah amazing stuff. I've been playing Backstreet Boys songs to my kids and they sing along so i'm educating the next generation about the awesomeness of 90's pop.

Can't quite decide which BSB song is my favourite though, it's between I Want It That Way & As Long As You Love Me....
I have a plan so cunning......
