Juve and Sevilla to advance this even, then Atletico and Man City to advance tomorrow evening. Can't see Leicester keeping a clean sheet. Then no idea around the Europa League games as most are a close call....wonder if Genk/Gent will provide loads more goals too?

Juventus might be one of the favorites at this point. Such a complete team. Hoping that Leicester hold out. Sevilla has a lot of attacking prowess, though, so second half could go any direction.

This is mental. 2-0 and that decision to sack Ranieri is looking like some decision now!

With Real or Barca potientally waiting in the quaters i'd personally rule out juventus's chances of winning the whole thing.

This Leicester team, just incredible. In 20 years we will look back at this and just marvel. Barcelona next? Insane.

Credit where it's due to Leicester, however it leaves a sour taste that these same players weren't playing like this for Ranieri. They'd love the plumb tie with Barca now wouldn't they?

Knew someone had to spoil the party and mention players not playing for Ranieri, which I still think is rubbish.

They would fancy themselvs against Barca at the moment thats for sure, what an incredible achevement.

Why is it ridiculous? They weren't playing for Ranieri at all.

Because they had no reason not too?

A manager that gave them everything the Season before? The achevements they gained, improved contracts.. England call up for Vardy, African player of the year for Mahrez?

People forget somtimes this was a team, practicly the same team that was struggling before hand.

There defence has never been anything special but last season they had in form Vardy,Mahrez but since then they have been predictable in the league.

Still dosent mean imo, they wernt playing for him.

They absolutely weren't playing for him.

As soon as stories came out about them talking to the owners and wanting him out you knew something was up.

The players are an absolute disgrace and should be embarrassed by their behaviour but as always it will be the manager who gets the blame.

These stories don't come from nowhere. You may think journalists are unreliable but there is always truth behind what they write. I know for a fact Leicester players were leaking what was going on and they wanted Ranieri out.

You mean the Barcelona that had to rely on the greatest comeback ever in Champions League football (and some VERY favorable reffing decisions) to get into the next round... and followed that up by losing to Deporitvo on the weekend? And the Real Madrid that threw away a significant lead atop the table in La Liga by drawing and losing against lesser sides? These are both excellent football teams but neither are close to their imperious best.

And as for Leicester, its a lovely win but I do totally agree with Order. The players were choosing not to play for Raineri. They were not making an effort. Its not that much different than what happened with Mourinho at Chelsea, but at least with Mourinho, his methods of motivating players notoriously wear thin after a time. If you are unwilling to blame the players, what exactly has Shakespeare changed tactically to make such a big difference? What tactical change made Mahrez suddenly willing to make an effort in defending? So far, the only change I've heard mentioned is Vardy saying he's playing a yard or two further forward, as if that justifies why he missed tons of excellent chances under Rainieri.

I agree with most of that in fairness but Barcalona and Real are teams for the big occuasion and more often not perform when it counts in competitions.

Not to mention Bayern aswell , those three are better sides.

It's really easy to see if you watch any amount of Leicester before Rainieri's sacking, and the stuff that's come after that they wanted him gone for whatever reason.

Bayern are another side not at their best this season. The Arsenal beatdown aside, they seem to have switched into "coast" mode, which is a common compliant about them when they have built a strong lead in the league and seem to take their foot off the peddle, which is often pointed to as a reason that they underachieve (to some degree) in the Champions League. Bayern, Barcelona, and Madrid are all great sides - I'm not questioning that, but simply that none of them have been consistently excellent this season, which is different from any of them at their best. The same is true of Atletico. That's why I think Juventus will have as much of a chance as any of them.

I never thought I would see an in-their-prime, world class, reigning Player of the Year mail it in as much as Hazard did last year. But then along came Mahrez. I like him, to be honest, but the change in his level of effort has been undeniable. He's not alone, but its just been the most notable with him.

Brilliant win for Leicester. Incredible achievement to get to the QFS. Why couldn't they play like this for Ranieri. Leicester's first CL campaign and they've gone further in the tournament than Arsenal have managed in the last 7 years. So embarrassing for Arsenal.
