    Re: Mental Health Discussion

Well you know my battles with my boy child...now add this to the mix.

The boy has rugby club with the school every Monday, whilst his older sister does gym club. So our normal routine is collect the youngest then venture to the other school for the other two.

Now little did we know but the school cancelled the rugby club, with zero communication to us about this. So we stuck to our normal routine and found out as we were at the other school collecting the eldest that the boy had gone home at normal time. So no we have a 12 year old boy with ADHD, ASD and anxiety, not able to get into the house as nobody is home to let him in (Can't trust him with a key yet, or his phone) potentially wondering the streets etc.

So now I have a 12 year old who is now scared and anxious more than usual, and a wife he is freaking out at the situation too. Now I need to sort the school out before blowing my lid, or before the wife blows her lid with them due to not communicating there's no club, and we need to know where the duty of care lays there sigh, needed to rant.

Chaddes and Keef, my apologies for the late reply but I’m sorry to hear about you all going through all of that. It gets better though, don’t worry. We’ve all been there, it’s tough but it really does get better I promise you. Just hang in there and keep your head up.

Baldrick,Life is all about storms. You are either going into one, in the middle one or coming out of one.Just weather through this knowing that is temporary. That is tough to say in the moment, but do your best with what you have. That is all anyone can ask.I've got a teenage son as well. It can be a roller coaster as they grow up. Just remember, you went through it and turned out ok.

All true WR, all true. I'm taking a couple of days to work from home, so i'm out of the office environment too, so hopefully that helps (We're in the middle of a restructure and internal invesitgations going on).

    Re: Mental Health Discussion

Sorry you're feeling like that Baldrick, and hope the time out of the office is helping.

I don't know if this'll do much for you, but when I was feeling a bit wobbly the other week someone reminded me of the saying "this too shall pass", and it really connected with me for some reason. Life is tough, and we'll always have ups and downs. We've made it through all the ones that have come so far, and we'll make it through the ones still to come.

If you ever need to talk or vent, feel free to PM. Hoping you're feeling a bit better now with time away from all that work BS mate.
