To be honest, what really hurt Talking Smack was airing it AFTER 205Live. It was perfect right after SDL, but then waiting an additional hour for it killed the hype.

Agreed. It was better flow as an immediate follow up to SDL, rather than shoe horning an hour of meaningless cruiserweight matches in between it.

Thanks to Jabberwocky for the amazing Gabrielle gif

Would it really cost that much to run the show though? All the talent is already in the building, the only real expense they'd save on would be transporting the set around.

I thought Kevin Owens being on there after the Shake-up was great as well, especially the appearance he made about 2 weeks ago. I felt like he took over The Miz role on Talking Smack after Miz moved to Raw.

Apparently Vince decided to cancel it...not because of viewers but because it didn't serve the companies best interest. It was too unscripted.

You'd think Bryan's jokes about big hogs, fisting and wiener-eating would be all in Vince's best interests.

Vince is a flat earther and got all salty about Bryan ridiculing AJ for it.

Vince isn't a flat earther. He's a Vince earther. Namely, the only Earth that matters is the one he presently occupies.

And of course it didn't occur to Vince that being unscripted was the reason people actually watched Talking Smack.

What gets me here is I'll bet that when they tally up viewships for each show at the end of the week, Talking Smack gets more viewers after-air than 205Live does... that's got to be true right? I watch Talking Smack about once a month and was looking forward to Bryan returning to the show full time once he and Brie got settled with the baby, but I've not watched a single match from 205Live in months.

205Live needs rebooting so badly and definitely moving timeslots so that Talking Smack would do exactly the job it used too, but instead they cancel the usually good show and leave the floundering shit show of a cruiserweight division to stink the joint up after all the SmackDown stars have fucked off back to the hotel except for whatever unlucky bastards pulled the short straws to work the dark match and send the crowd home happy.

Might have more to do with Bryan occasionally dipping into politics to be honest, but that's assume Vince watches his own shows.
