    ECW Thoughts So Far

Hey Stojy I’ve been reading along so far but not hadmuch time to divulge some reviews but here are some of my thoughts on what hasbeen going on in The Land Of Extreme so far.
I don’t like the guy but Justin Credible hasdefinitely been a fighting champion. He certainly hasn’t done anything greatyet and has resorted to being a dirty wrestler on numerous occasions but he isgetting the job done. I’m keen to see everything move along however andsomebody top tier challenge him for the title.

My two favourite guys in your project from apersonal standpoint are Rhino and Rob Van Dam and it is looking likely thatthey are heading for a collision course over the TV Title. I would prefer tosee Rhino go over because as much as Van Dam is the coolest cat in ECW, hisstar power would be better served in the main event scene. This could also leadto Rhino moving into the main event scene a few months down the line, stilllooking unbeatable.

The Network were always one of the biggest heatmagnets in ECW, especially Cyrus The Virus. I’m loving the fight from Lynn andDreamer against the likes of Corino and Anton, and can’t wait to see what youhave in store for us with the tag tournament. I’d love to see Dreamer and Lynnmake it far before The Network cost them the glory. I’m also keen to see whowill take up the bounty offer put on Lynn’s head. Dreamer would be an absoluteshock haha

Looking down the card I think you have a greatstoryline going on between Tajiri and The FBI. I’m hoping that this is thestart of giving birth to The Unholy Alliance, as they were a very fun tag teamin the back end of ECW’s life. Tajiri is a very talented star in his own rightand I was happy that he got a shot at Credible to prove his credentials, evenif he came up short.

Finally I’m keen to see where you take CW Anderson. He was definitely one of those guys that was touted for bigger things than heachieved and he has some ample back up in the form of Swinger and Diamond, whoalso failed to make anything of themselves despite a brief run in TNA.

Overall Stojy it has definitely been an interesting start and I am intrigued to see where you take all three title scenes and ifyou have any returns, or debuts in store for us in the future. Keep up thegreat work mate, and good luck!!

Re: Extreme Championship Wrestling by Stojy

Thanks for that Sykotic, your comments are much appreciated. This shows probably the most chaotic by far, and this'll probably set the tone for what to expect for awhile.

    ECW on TNN

    04-08-2000

    Houston, Texas

    “ECDUBBYA”

    “ECDUBBYA”

    “ECDUBBYA”

As per usual, the ECW faithful are at a fever pitch as a smiling Joey Styles and Joel Gertner stand in the middle of the ring, microphone in hands. After what seems like an eternity, the crowd dies down a little, and it allows the dynamic duo to formally welcome everybody to the show.

Joey Styles: Ladies and gentleman, welcome to the land of the extreme! I’m the one and only voice of ECW, Joey Styles, and I’m pleased to welcome everybody to another episode of ECW on TNN coming from Houston, Texas. Of course it wouldn’t be ECW if I wasn’t standing next to my good friend, Joel Gertner.

Joel Gertner: It’s funny that you mentioned everything’s bigger in Texas, Joey, because if that’s the case this announcer might be troubling some ladies a little later on tonight…

Styles laughs at Gertner’s sexual innuendo for the night, when “Debonaire” by Dope plays through the arena and all of a sudden, the laughter stops. Surprisingly, Cyrus comes down the ramp alone, although he works with a purpose clearly not looking happy. The feeling is mutual as Styles and especially Gertner don’t seem all that happy to see Cyrus either, and of course nor do the fans. Once in the ring Cyrus flat out ignores Styles and stares daggers at his nemesis Gertner.

Cyrus: On behalf of The Network… I told you to stop that CRAP! No more sexual innuendos, no more unrelated comments, The Network and I want you to do your job, call the in ring action, and nothing more.

Cyrus continues to point at Gertner menacingly, but Gertner just looks at Cyrus in utter contempt. Meanwhile the helpful Texans here in Houston have a chant for Cyrus…

    “FUCK THE NETWORK”

    “FUCK THE NETWORK”

    “FUCK THE NETWORK”

Cyrus sends some daggers through to the crowd, telling them off mic to “SHUT YOUR MOUTHS”!

Cyrus: The more you defy The Network, the more issues you will have. Do you remember Heatwave, Gertner? I jumped YOU from behind and then you retaliated, I had YOU arrested… And let me promise you, that’s just a little taste of the stroke that The Network has in Extreme Championship Wrestling.

Joey Styles puts a hand on Gertner’s shoulder, trying to calm him down as he’s trembling with anger. Meanwhile seeing Gertner this furious seems to have cheered up Cyrus, who now has a slight smirk on his face. Of course the fans still boo the hell out of him though.

Cyrus: I have a serious question for you though, how do you feel after spending a night in jail?

Gertner looks down, not responding as the fans continue to hate on Cyrus.

Cyrus: The FAT ****** DEMOGRAPHIC must have LOVED that ass in prison huh?

Boo’s from the crowd as Cyrus chuckles at his own joke. Long story short, Gertner is still furious.

Cyrus: In all seriousness though, I loved beating your ass so bad at Heatwave that during the week I went out and acquired a wrestling license because I want MORE!

Actually a pop from the audience here, as Cyrus takes a moment to let his words sink in. Even Joel looks back up now, wondering what’s going to happen next.

Cyrus: So Gertner what do you say we put an end to this once and for all tonight. You don’t like me, and I sure as hell don’t like you, so how about we fight one on one in this very ring tonight?

EPIC pop this time as Styles seems to love the idea, as does Joel but before he can respond “Highway To Hell” by AC/DC rocks through the speakers, and the fans let out an ENORMOUS pop as for the first time in a long time, Spike Dudley is making an appearance on ECW television. Spike is still in a leg cast, so he slowly limps his way down the ramp, slapping hands with the fans and enjoying the return ovation he’s receiving. Everybody looks happy to see the runt of the Dudley litter, except for Cyrus who can’t help but open his big mouth even before Spike is completely in the ring.

Cyrus: What could have possibly happened to your leg, Spike? Where have you been all this time?

As obnoxious as ever, Cyrus once again laughs at himself feigning confusion, but everybody else hates him for it. Spike finally gets inside the ring and completely ignores Cyrus’ arrogance, instead getting straight to business.

Spike Dudley: I’m gonna’ keep this short and sweet. Paul Heyman couldn’t be here tonight because he had some business to attend to in Los Angeles. Before Paul was tied up, he gave me a call on my cell phone to inform me that tonight, I would be in charge of match making!

Big time cheers as Spike lets out a sly smirk, but Cyrus’ eyes bug out of his head.

Spike Dudley: That’s right, I’m in charge, not you, Cyrus! SO THERE WON’T BE ANY GERTNER VERSUS CYRUS!

A fair bit of heat for this, and funnily enough even Gertner and Styles seem a little disappointed.

Spike Dudley: Not tonight anyway, BUT YOU WILL BE IN ACTION TONIGHT, CYRUS…. AND YOUR OPPONENT… WILL BE THIS MAN!!!

Almost immediately, “Enter Sandman” by Metallica begins playing through the arena’s sound system, and the fans MARK THE FUCK OUT, as Cyrus gets on his knees, begging Spike Dudley to reconsider.

Eventually we pan up to the crowd to see The Sandman cracking a can of beer open with his forehead as per usual. As Sandman continues to make his epic entrance, Styles and Gertner smartly exit the ring, recognising the possible carnage that could come.

Sandman eventually gets into the ring, raising his trusty Singapore Cane in the air, much to the delight of the fans.

Cyrus continues to beg Spike, who just chuckles and says “good luck”, before exiting the ring himself.

The Sandman has a quick glance and nods at Spike, and in that moment, Cyrus grows some balls and HITS SANDMAN WITH A RIGHT HAND FROM BEHIND!!!

BUT THE SANDMAN NO SELLS IT!

The fans are at fever pitch as Cyrus begs off… but it’s no good as SANDMAN GRABS CYRUS AND POPS HIM WITH A RIGHT TO THE MOUTH!

Sandman laughs out loud as Cyrus crumbles to the mat… UNTIL RHINO SPRINTS DOWN THE RAMP!

The Sandman sees him coming and picks up the Singapore Cane and when Rhino gets into the ring, THE SANDMAN DRILLS HIM OVER THE HEAD WITH THE CANE!

The fans continue to go ballistic, as Rhino staggers but doesn’t go down. Whilst all this is happening, Cyrus manages to roll out of the ring and out of harm’s way.

The Sandman is determined to drop Rhino though… AND HE HAMMERS AWAY AGAIN… AND AGAIN… AND AGAIN…AND AGAIN… AND AGAIN…AND AGAIN…

AND FINALLY AFTER THE SEVENTH SINGAPORE CANE SHOT TO THE HEAD, RHINO FALLS TO THE MAT!

Basking in the cheers, The Sandman raises the DECIMATED Singapore Cane above his head, until the cheers turn to jeers as…

STEVE CORINO AND SCOTTY ANTON WALK THROUGH THE CURTAIN!

The two Network members slowly walk down the ramp, as Sandman tells them to bring it, feeling no fear whatsoever.

Before they can make it to the ring… TOMMY DREAMER AND JERRY LYNN TURN THEM AROUND… AND DROP THEM BOTH WITH RIGHT HANDS!

Dreamer and Lynn continue to hammer away on Corino and Anton, with The Sandman watching on from the ring enjoying the mayhem.

Spike Dudley who’s supposed to be in charge is yelling for security, but he isn’t really getting anywhere with that request at the moment.

Jerry Lynn finally stands up from hammering away on Corino… ONLY TO BE CLOBBERED FROM BEHIND BY JUSTIN CREDIBLE!

Lynn manages to stay on his feet, and all of a sudden, the ECW Champion and Lynn are TRADING PUNCHES!

They beat each other down the ramp until the number one contender is able to gain the ascendancy, and he rolls Credible inside the ring!

Lynn charges back up the ramp to help Dreamer, who’s now being beaten down in a two on one assault by Corino and Anton.

Credible gets to his feet inside the ring and dusts himself off… BEFORE TURNING RIGHT INTO A SINGAPORE CANE SHOT ACROSS THE HEAD FROM THE SANDMAN!

The Sandman once again poses with the Singapore Cane, as up the entrance way security have finally succumbed to the request of Spike, and are struggling, but managing to separate Dreamer and Lynn from Corino and Anton.

The four are dragged kicking and screaming to the back, which the fans boo the shit out of… and all the watching finally costs Sandman… AS JUSTIN CREDIBLE SNEAKS UP WITH A LOW BLOW FROM BEHIND!

With The Sandman on his haunches, Credible quickly jumps to his feet… AND TAKES HIM DOWN WITH THE THAT’S INCREDIBLE!

Seeing this, even in a leg cast Spike Dudley slides in the ring, making his way towards Credible… ONLY TO GET CUT OFF WITH A LARIAT WHICH SENDS HIM INSIDE OUT BY RHINO!

The ECW Television Champion Rhino instructs the ECW Champion Credible to “STAY ON HIM”, as Rhino heads outside the ring and begins setting up a table on the outside.

Credible managed to keep Spike down with some mounted punches and stomps, until Rhino stands on the apron. Credible drags Spike through the ropes and towards Rhino… Who puts Spike between his legs… AND DAMN NEAR KILLS HIM WITH A PILEDRIVER OFF OF THE APRON AND THROUGH THE TABLE ON THE OUTSIDE!

There’s no heat, Rhino’s to awesome. Instead, the infamous chants fill the arena…

    “ECDUBBYA”

    “ECDUBBYA”

    “ECDUBBYA”

Even Credible looks a little shocked, until he sees out of his peripherals that The Sandman is using the ropes to get back up.

Credible picks up the Singapore Cane, an angry look on his face as he feels the spot on his head where Sandman hit him with the same Cane earlier…

AND THEN CREDIBLE BEGINS HAMMERING AWAY WITH SINGAPORE CANE SHOTS TO THE HELPLESS SANDMAN…

AS CREDIBLE CONTINUES TO DESTROY THE SINGAPORE CANE ON THE SANDMAN… CHILLY WILLY RUNS FROM THE BACK!

Good intentions on his mind, Chilly Willy slides into the ring… AND GETS MOWED DOWN WITH THE GORE BY RHINO!

The impact of the move causes the ring to shake, and Credible turns around to see a downed Chilly Willy and Rhino standing over him…

Not exactly friends, Rhino and Credible now go nose to nose, and the fans seem to love the idea of this…

Cyrus doesn’t though as he slides into the ring, handing Rhino his TV title and Credible his ECW title, hoping this will calm them down.

Both men raise their titles above their heads to mixed reactions… and Rhino lets out an intense roar… THEN THEY BOTH GO NOSE TO NOSE AGAIN!

Cyrus is pleading with them not to fight… UNTIL FRANCINE RUNS DOWN THE RAMP AND SLIDES INTO THE RING!

Francine immediately puts a calming hand on the shoulder of Credible, before whispering something into his ear.

Nobody can be sure what she says, but it seems to work as Credible and Francine leave the ring together…

The fans ERUPT with heat for the champion and his girl leaving, whilst Rhino remains as intense as ever, heavy breathing in the ring.

The most surprising reaction comes from the leader of The Network Cyrus, as he has the broadest smile imaginably on his face, and that’s the last image we see… before heading to our first commercial break on this already chaotic evening…

    -COMMERCIAL BREAK-

We return from the break as the announcers put over the pandemonium that began tonight’s show, and how it seems this war with ECW and The Network is only going to get worst. As the announcers continue to speak, “Bombtrack” by Rage Against The Machine gets the fans head banging in the crowd, as everybody’s favourite pyromaniac Mikey Whipwreck steps out, accompanied by The Sinister Minister. The two get a fairly nice reception of the fans, as TSM issues some last minute words of encouragement to the focused Mikey. Next up one of my favourites in “No Sleep Till Brooklyn” by The Beastie Boys hits and out steps the arrogant trio of Italians. Of course there’s the competing Little Guido, backed up by his Mafia like muscle Tony Mamaluke and Sal E. Graziano. As per usual, Guido talks a lot of smack to the fans and his opponent, as he seems to be gaining more and more heat by the appearance.

    Match One
Little Guido w/The FBI vs. Mikey Whipwreck w/The Sinister Minister

Much like all of The Full Blooded Italians matches in this thread so far, we don’t really get to see who the best wrestler is as the match is riddled with interference. Every time it seems like Mikey is about to build any sort of moment, Mamaluke or Graziano are quick to help snuff it out. At one point during the match, The Sinister Minister has had enough and voices his disapproval, but the Italians on the outside quickly stand over him, silencing him rather abruptly.

To be fair to the leader of The Full Blooded Italians, Little Guido shows off some impressive moves as well, initially with some fast paced high risk, and then he begins grounding Whipwreck. The audience constantly give Guido a hard time, as the hot tempered wog begins getting frustrated at not being able to put Whipwreck away. The man who will be one day known as Nunzio gets a little frustrated and decides to head to the top rope. Once there… HE LEAPS OFF WITH THE SICILIAN SLICE… BUT MIKEY MOVES OUT OF THE WAY!

Guido smashes his tailbone against the canvas, as The Sinister Minister cheers on Mikey from the outside. Having been on the receiving end of a fair bit of punishment, Mikey gives Guido no time to breathe. He grabs Guido and lifts him up high, placing him on the top rope. Mikey climbs up after Guido… AND COMES OFF THE TOP ROPE WITH THE FRANKEN-MIKEY! MIKEY HOOKS THE LEG…1…2…3!

NO! GUIDO JUST ROLLS A SHOULDER OFF THE MAT!

Mikey can’t believe Guido managed a shoulder up, but he keeps his emotions in check, slowly bringing Guido back up to a vertical base. Mikey looks like he’s getting Guido in position for the Whipper Snapper… WHEN SAL E. GRAZIANO STEPS ONTO THE RING APRON!

The referee immediately goes to tell off the big man… AND TONY MAMALUKE CHARGES INTO THE RING… BUT MIKEY SEES HIM… AND DROPS HIM WITH THE WHIPPER SNAPPER INSTEAD!

The fans mark the fuck out for that, whilst Big Sal hops off the apron, and waddles around the ring to see if Mamaluke is okay. The referee turns back around and Mikey tells him to “GET YOUR HEAD IN THE GAME” before turning into a kick to the gut from Little Guido… FOLLOWED BY THE KISS OF DEATH. GUIDO HOOKS THE LEG…1…2…3!

    Winner – Little Guido @ 6:51

After the match, Guido brings himself to his feet, pretty happy with his victory, before he yells out to Big Sal “GET IN ‘ERE”!

Graziano forgets about Mamaluke and does what the boss says, sliding into the ring…

THE TWO ITALIANS BEGIN STOMPING THE LIFE OUT OF THE ALREADY BEATEN MIKEY WHIPWRECK!

The Sinister Minister is having a fit outside the ring but can’t do anything to help. As the enforcer of The FBI continues to stomp on Mikey, Little Guido gets himself a microphone.

Little Guido: This is what happens when The FBI get overlooked. NOBODY overlooks The FBI!

Gertner mentions that it must have something to do with the ECW Tag Team Championship tournament, as Guido motions that the titles should be around his waist.

The beating looks set to continue on poor Mikey, until

YOSHIHIRO TAJIRI SPRINTS DOWN THE RAMP!

TAJIRI SLIDES INTO THE RING… AND DUCKS A CLOTHESLINE FROM GUIDO… AND DROPS HIM WITH A SUPERKICK!

BIG SAL SEES THIS AND GRABS TAJIRI AROUND THE THROAT… LIFTING HIM INTO THE AIR… BEFORE TAJIRI SPITS THE GREEN MIST INTO SAL’S EYES!

Sal immediately drops him… AND TAJIRI TEES OFF WITH MULTIPLE KICKS TO THE KNEES AND MID SECTION OF SAL, FORCING HIM TO FALL TO HIS KNEES!

With Big Sal dazed, Tajiri takes a step back… AND KNOCKS HIM OUT WITH A BUZZSAW KICK TO THE FACE!

Tajiri stands in the ring, unchallenged, untouched, as the fans cheer the Japanese wrestler.

All of a sudden though, Tajiri turns straight into Mikey Whipwreck… AND THE TWO GO NOSE TO NOSE!

No trash is spoken between the two, but there’s no trust either as both men stare each other down.

The Sinister Minister quickly steps inside the ring and gets in between the two.

Minister whispers something into the ear of Mikey… Before going up to Tajiri and whispering something into his ear as well…

The audience is a buzz due to this confrontation, and TSM still seems a bit apprehensive… WHEN ALL OF A SUDDEN, MIKEY WHIPWRECK AND TAJIRI SHAKE HANDS!

Mikey even bows at Tajiri paying respects to his Japanese heritage, as The Sinister Minister raises both men’s hand in the air, a huge smile on his face.

Joey Styles: I’m not sure how, I’m not sure why, BUT A MOST UNHOLY ALLIANCE HAS BEEN FORMED!

The extremist fans in Houston cheer the hell out of the new friends, as they make their way to the back…

Joey Styles: What an interesting sequence of events that was. Little Guido was able to defeat Mikey Whipwreck… but only with the help of Tony Mamaluke and Sal E. Graziano. After the match a man The FBI have targeted for awhile Yoshihiro Tajiri came down and cleaned house of The FBI, before striking some sort of alliance with Mikey. I’m not sure what to think…

Joel Gertner: All I know is that The FBI seemed to have their hands full with just Tajiri, if Mikey and The Sinister Minister will be fighting alongside Tajiri from now on, things could get ugly for The FBI!

Joey Styles: I definitely agree with you there, Joel. I’ve also just received word from the back that tomorrow night on Hardcore TV; we will see Kid Kash return to action against ‘The Whole F’n Show’ Rob Van Dam!

Joel Gertner: Rob Van Dam has been chasing that ECW Television Championship match with Rhino for WEEKS now, and it’s very important he keeps winning his matches in the meantime. The only issue is I don’t think RVD has ever faced anybody like Kid Kash before. This guy is just brilliant and he’s got a future ECW Championship match up his sleeve so he’s going to want to perform well to.

Joey Styles: This match has all the making of a FIVE STAR CLASSIC!

Once the commentators are done shilling what will be an epic match on Hardcore TV, we head to the ‘interview area’ where Pierre Carl Oulette is standing. PCO gets a pretty nice ovation from the fans after his brilliant effort against Justin Credible a couple of weeks ago.

Pierre Carl Oulette: I…come…to ECW… for one thing only… and that’s money!

PCO pauses, an angry look on his face, having a few more heel like tendencies than the other week.

Pierre Carl Oulette: That’s why; I CHALLENGE JERRY LYNN TO A MATCH… So I can collect that BOUNTY!

The Frenchman gets some boos from the fans… but that quickly changes as an ECW favourite Balls Mahoney walks into screenshot, looking a little confused.

Balls Mahoney: My names BALLS, nice to meet ya’!

EPIC POP for the famous name, as a…

    “BALLS”

    “BALLS”

    “BALLS”

Chant can be heard all throughout Texas…

Mahoney also offers a hand to PCO, but the uppity Frenchman raises his nose in disgust.

Balls Mahoney: Now Pierre I know you’re new here, so I wanted to give you a word of advice.

Balls pauses, as PCO looks somewhat interested.

Balls Mahoney: I advise you not to side with The Network and try and collect the bounty that they’ve placed on the head of Jerry Lynn. There’s a reason why nobody else has tried to collect the bounty and it’s because you can’t trust The Network, and Cyrus is the WORST!

Balls makes his points to the admiration of the crowd… but PCO doesn’t seem as receptive as HE SHOVES BALLS MAHONEY AWAY FROM HIM!

Pierre Carl Oulette: I will never take orders… from a… “man” named Balls…

Mahoney doesn’t seem too impressed with being shoved… AND HE GETS RIGHT INTO THE FACE OF PCO!

Balls Mahoney: HEY, I’m just tryin’ to help ya’. Put your hands on me again and I WILL show you the size of my Balls!

Another big pop from the slightly immature crowd, as PCO looks disgusted.

Pierre Carl Oulette: I’ll show you balls…

Balls almost seem confused for a moment, wondering if there’s some sort of language barrier… UNTIL PCO HEADBUTTS BALLS RIGHT ACROSS THE BRIDGE OF THE NOSE!

Blood immediately begins gushing from Balls’ nose, but he doesn't care as THE TWO BEGIN DRILLING EACH OTHER WITH WILD HAYMAKERS!

Neither man refuses to back down, and the two continue to hammer away, until a whole heap of security and jobber wrestlers merge together and separate the two.

The Frenchman is yelling at Balls, whilst Mahoney wants to continue fighting just as bad, until somebody yells “BALLS, IT’S TIME FOR YOUR MATCH”!

Balls quickly wipes some blood off of his face, before heading towards the ring…

Meanwhile, Pierre Carl Oulette looks pretty sadistic, still trying to break free and get at his new enemy.

The commentators put over the new attitude of PCO, and how badly will Mahoney’s injured nose hinder him before we head to commercials.

    -COMMERCIAL BREAK-

When we return from the break “Big Balls” by Boner feels the ears of everybody in the arena to a nice pop, and out walks a pissed off Balls Mahoney. His nose is still dripping blood, possibly broken, but he just wipes it off and continues down the ramp, definitely ready for a fight after what went down with Pierre Carl Oulette before the commercials. Next up is “Scapegoat” by Fear Factory to an ENORMOUS POP as out steps the number one contender to the ECW Championship, Jerry Lynn. Jerry is all smiles, slapping hands with the fans, whilst the commentators put over the fact he’ll be happy at getting the chance to get his hands on a member of The Network. Once in the ring, Lynn kind of awkwardly nods at Balls, and they wait for the third member of this equation. “The Old School Style” by Boner brings out the final piece of the equation as Steve Corino arrogantly sets through the curtain, his lackey Jack Victory not far behind him. The two receive an UNGODLY amount of heat as every ECW fan is a Network hater. Lynn and Corino lock eyes and talk smack to each other, whilst Mahoney wipes blood from his mouth, just ready to fight.

    Three Way Dance
Balls Mahoney vs. Jerry Lynn vs. Steve Corino w/Jack Victory

The match begins with Corino timidly stepping inside the ring and trying to forge some sort of relationship with Balls, but big, bad Balls is having none of it. Corino then does the unthinkable and tries to strike up a deal with his nemesis Jerry Lynn… And Lynn replies with a Double Legged Takedown, and begins beating the hell out of Corino with vicious lefts and rights. As fired up as Lynn is, Balls is more so, as he drags Lynn off of Corino by the hair, and tosses him outside the ring. Mahoney then grabs Corino, whips him into the corner, and begins hammering away with brutal hands of his own.

Lynn didn’t take to kindly to being interrupted whilst he was trying to cave Corino’s head in, and he charges back into the ring and confronts Balls. Balls and Lynn start going at it now, and Balls wins that contest to, barely feeling pain after what happened backstage with Pierre Carl Oulette. Once Mahoney has both men grounded, he heads outside the ring and pulls out a steel chair!

The match gets extremely Hardcore with the chair involved, with Balls teeing off on both men. After a few minutes of really taking it to both men, Balls disposes of Lynn and looks set to eliminate Corino. The resourcefulness of Corino shines through though… as HE GRABS THE INJURED NOSE OF BALLS… AND JUST SQUEEZES!

Balls backs away, looking to get some space between him and Corino… AND CORINO CHARGES AT HIM… ONLY TO RUN STRAIGHT INTO A SUPERKICK!

Mahoney then turns the downed Corino around… AND LOCKS IN THE CAMEL CLUTCH!

Corino can’t escape; he has nowhere to go…He tries to make it to the ropes…

But he can’t seem to get any closer…

WHEN ALL OF A SUDDEN, JACK VICTORY ROLLS JERRY LYNN BACK INTO THE RING!

Mahoney has his back to this and doesn’t see it, as he continues to apply pressure with the Camel Clutch… UNTIL JERRY LYNN SMASHES A STEEL CHAIR ACROSS HIS FACE!

Balls drops and Corino remains down… as a staggering Lynn brings Balls up… AND DROPS HIM WITH THE CRADLE PILEDRIVER! LYNN HOOKS THE LEG…1…2…3!

    Elimination #1 – Balls Mahoney

Lynn closes his eyes in a moment of relief, happy to be rid of Balls Mahoney in this match. Styles once again mentions that Balls literally dominated the first half of the match, taking out his frustration on Corino and Lynn. Lynn’s relief turns into a deadly smirk on his face though, as he looks down and sees his arch nemesis Corino lying on the Canvas, barely moving.

The fans are going ape shit, sensing that Lynn is going to be able to have his way with Corino, WHEN HE GETS CLOBBERED FROM BEHIND MY JACK VICTORY!

Victory stomps all over the battered and beaten Lynn, keeping him down, as the referee begs him to leave the ring. Victory pie faces the referee out of the way, and continues the assault on Lynn. As Corino begins crawling to the ropes to get himself up, he yells to Victory “FINISH HIM”!

Corino’s lackey understands completely, putting Lynn IN POSITION FOR A PILEDRIVER… BUT LYNN REVERSES INTO A BACK BODY DROP!

Jerry Lynn is furious as he roughly brings Victory to his feet… AND TAKES HIM BACK DOWN WITH A CRADLE PILEDRIVER!

Corino is half way to his feet when Lynn turns his attention back to his opponent. Lynn grabs Corino, looking to put him in position for his famous Piledriver as well… but at the last minute, he changes his mind and just drops ‘The King Of Old School’ with a right hand instead…

The fans let off a bit of heat at that, but it’s obvious why as LOU E. DANGEROULSY HAS RAN DOWN THE RAMP AND JUMPED ONTO THE RING APRON!

Lynn runs over and immediately CLEAN CLOCKS LOU E. OFF THE APRON WITH A DROPKICK!

However on the other side of the ring, SCOTTY ANTON HASCOME THROUGH THE CROWD AND JUMPED ONTO THE APRON!

Jerry Lynn now CHARGES TO ANTON AND SWINGS WITH A RIGHT HAND… BUT ANTON AVOIDS THE STRIKE… AND HANGS LYNN UP ON THE TOP ROPE!

Lynn finally gets bested by a member of The Network, and staggers into the middle of the ring, STRAIGHT INTO THE OLD SCHOOL EXPULSION!

    CORINO HOOKS THE LEG…1…2

    3!

    Elimination #2 – Jerry Lynn

    Winner – Steve Corino @ 12:20

“STEVE CORINO HAS JUST PINNED THE NUMBER ONE CONTENDER TO THE ECW CHAMPIONSHIP” – Joey Styles.

Corino is quite sore after all the punishment he’s received and can barely have his arm raised in victory.

The fans are at RIOT LEVEL here in Houston as well, not at all happy with the way things went down here.

With Corino still struggling in the corner, an animated Lou E. Dangerously gets into the ring… and instructs Victory and Anton to “MURDER HIM” whilst pointing at Lynn.

The two begin taking care of business, stomping away on a completely out of it Lynn…

UNTIL TOMMY DREAMER SPRINTS INTO THE ARENA AND SLIDES INTO THE RING!

Dreamer begins hammering away on both Victory and Anton, but just as he begins focusing on Anton a little too much, VICTORY HITS HIM FROM BEHIND!

The numbers game has caught up to Dreamer, as Victory and Anton whip him into the ropes. Upon return though, DREAMER LEAPS INTO THE AIR… AND TAKES BOTH MEN DOWN WITH A DOUBLE CLOTHESLINE!

Victory rolls out of the ring and Lou E. instructs him to drag Corino out of the ring so that’s exactly what he does.

Lou E. informs Anton “WE’VE GOT TO GET HIM SOME HELP” and Anton nods, as The Network begin making their way up the ramp, leaving Anton alone.

Of course as they disappear into the backstage area, the fans treat them to one last chant…

    “FUCK THE NETWORK”

    “FUCK THE NETWORK”

    “FUCK THE NETWORK”

Once they have completely disappeared, a disappointed, distraught Jerry Lynn also makes his way to the back, as Dreamer tells him “I NEED TO DO THIS ON MY OWN”!

Unlike The Network though, Jerry Lynn is ECW through and through and he receives a standing ovation from the Texas crowd.

Now that Lynn’s gone, the referee from the last match is still in the ring and he calls for the bell.

    Scotty Anton vs. Tommy Dreamer

In all seriousness, whilst the crowd are still into the match as its The Network versus ECW, it’s a little bit of a fizzer after the epic Three Way Dance that took place before it. The match isn’t exactly pretty as well; it’s very much a punch kick affair, an ugly brawl. On a positive note, it’s the first match in awhile involving a member of The Network where the match isn’t riddled with interference.

Anton does all he can in the early stages, beating Dreamer down with some more basic strikes, but he’s unable to put Dreamer away. The closest he gets is after nailing a LEGDROP BULLDOG… BUT DREAMER IS ABLE TO GET A SHOULDER UP!

With Dreamer a little dazed though, ANTON LOOKS TO LOCK IN THE CLAPPER… BUT DREAMER SHOWS GREAT LEG STRENGTH, KICKING ANTON… AND SENDING HIM INTO THE CORNER!

Anton just stops himself from colliding with the turnbuckles, before turning around… AND DREAMER SQUASHES HIM WITH A CORNER CLOTHESLINE…FOLLOWED BY A DDT! DREAMER HOOKS THE LEG…1…2…3!NO!ANTON SOMEHOW GETS A SHOULDER UP!

Dreamer can’t believe it but Anton is pretty much out of it now, so Tommy methodically brings him up to a vertical base… ONLY TO BRING HIM BACK DOWN WITH THE SPICOLLI DRIVER! DREAMER HOOKS THE LEG AGAIN…1…2…3!

    Winner – Tommy Dreamer @ 5:15

A big pop from the fans as Dreamer gets up and has his hand risen by the referee.

Styles and Gertner are delighted to, as they make sure to mention that ECW and The Network are now tied at 1-1 for the night.

Tommy D continues to celebrate, hopping onto the second rope and conducting a…

    “ECDUBBYA”

    “ECDUBBYA”

    “ECDUBBYA”

Chant as we head to our final commercial break…

    -COMMERCIAL BREAK-

Once we return from the commercial break, we are at the ‘interview set’ where an irritated looking Cyrus is standing by. He’s not alone though; on his right are a depressed looking ECW Champion Justin Credible and his supportive girlfriend Francine. Whilst on his left is the intense as ever ECW Television Champion Rhino. They all three stare into the camera for a moment or two, allowing the fans to react with bucket loads of heat before Cyrus begins speaking.

Cyrus: Tonight was nothing short of a travesty. The Sandman never should have come to The Network, and Chilly Willy just made the biggest mistake of his life!

Cyrus pauses still looking irritated, as Rhino begins pacing back and forth. Credible seems to be in his own little world though, not showing any emotion at all.

Cyrus: But due to both of your “bravery” or as I’d call it, STUPIDITY, I’ve decided to reward both of you. On behalf of The Network, I announce that Chilly Willy and The Sandman are officially entered into the tournament for the ECW Tag Team Championships as a team!

The Network’s mouthpiece gets cut off by a LOUD pop from the fans.

Cyrus: And in the first round you’ll be facing the team standing next to me right now, the greatest ECW Television Champion of all time, Rhino, and the ECW Champion Justin Credible!

Cyrus now lets out a shit eating grin, as the fans boo the hell out of him.

Justin Credible: Pft, what kind of champion am I? I can’t even win a match by myself…

Everybody including Francine looks shocked at Credible’s outburst, as he THROWS THE ECW TITLE FROM HIS SHOULDER TO THE FLOOR!

    Cyrus: PICK IT UP!

Justin Credible: I don’t want to. WHAT NOW?

Credible goes to take a threatening step towards Cyrus, and Rhino immediately steps in front of Cyrus.

CREDIBLE AND RHINO ARE NOW NOSE TO NOSE, TENSION FILLING THE AIR!

    Rhino: I’m gonna’ make you…

Neither man looks set to take a backwards step… BUT FRANCINE MANAGES TO BEGIN BACKING CREDIBLE UP…

AND CYRUS BEGINS DOING THE SAME WITH RHINO!

Whilst the two aren’t nose to nose anymore, they are shooting daggers at each other, clearly not friends.

Cyrus: The Network has invested more time in you as the ECW Champion than you could even imagine, Justin. You are going to do this!

Credible scoffs, however Francine whispers something into his ear and he nods his head. Francine then picks up the ECW Championship and the two walk out of screenshot, as Cyrus looks a tag concerned.

As all of this has been happening, Rhino has just continued to get more intense because he’s epic.

    Rhino: SANDMAN…

The TV Champ pauses, salivating from the mouth.

    Rhino: CHILLY WILLY…

Rhino is so worked up that Cyrus even looks like he’s shitting himself.

Rhino: WHAT EXCITES ME MOST IS GETTING TO KICK THE LIVING FUCK OUT OF BOTH OF YOU!

He pauses again, trembling with rage.

Rhino: WHEN YOU BOTH LAY IN A PUDDLE OF YOUR OWN PISS, BLOOD AND SHIT, YOU’LL REMEMBER WHO THE BIG FUCKING DEAL IS!

Rhino clutches at his title to prove his point.

    Rhino: ITS ME, RHINO…RHINO…RHINO…

One last pause for that dramatic effect.

    Rhino: COME AND GET ME!

Rhino continues to shake, obviously having plenty of pent up rage he needs to release. Meanwhile Cyrus can’t help but let out a sly smirk, knowing he has the most dominant man in ECW on his side.

The final shot we get is of Rhino pacing back and forth and Cyrus looking gleeful, as we fade to black.

    ECW Hardcore TV Preview
    08-05-2000

Tonight on Hardcore TV we may just see one of the greatest wrestling matches to ever take place in any company. No backstory, no blood feud, no anything, it’s just two men who have a tremendous amount of respect for each other trying to further themselves up the rankings. On one side of the ring will be the former ECW Television Champion Rob Van Dam. Along with his passionate manager Bill Alfonso, Van Dam has been working towards getting a shot at the title that he never lost in the first place. RVD was forced to retire the belt due to injury, and is hell bent on regaining the gold, and a win tonight could be just what he needs to given a title shot against the current ECW TV Champion Rhino. On the other side of the ring will be a man who is guaranteed a future shot at the ECW Championship, Kid Kash. Winning form is good form and with Kash set to challenge for the title sometime soon, a win against a high profile star good be exactly what he needs to gain the confidence to break through that glass ceiling. Who will win this match of the year candidate? Will find out tonight!

The tournament to crown the first ECW Tag Team Champions in four months continues to take shape, and we will have a further announcement regarding the shape of the tournament brackets tonight. Not only that, but there will be two more matches where the winners will earn themselves a spot in the tournament. Simon Diamond and Johnny Swinger, collectively known as Team Me, will get their chance to qualify when they take on a team who have already qualified in Christian York and Joey Matthews. The other qualifying match of the night will see Danny Doring and Roadkill going up against EZ Money and Julio Dinero. Both teams will surely be desperate for a spot to qualify for a chance to become the ECW Tag Team Champions.

The ECW Champion Justin Credible has battled hard over the past few weeks. Whilst he has continually defended his championship successfully, it has been due to outside appearance from people who aren’t allies, and help from his girlfriend, Francine. Last night at ECW on TNN, Credible began questioning himself as a champion, however The Network’s Cyrus claimed that The Network has invested in Credible and he will be champion for a long time. Exactly what that means, we are not too sure, but Credible will be in action against Chris Chetti tonight. The word coming out of The Network is that perhaps a non title match for Credible will be exactly what he needs to regain his confidence.

Tune in to see all of this as well as an appearance from Mikey Whipwreck and Yoshiro Tajiri, now known as The Unholy Alliance tonight on Hardcore TV!

    Confirmed Matches:
Rob Van Dam w/Bill Alfonso vs. Kid Kash
ECW Tag Team Tournament Qualifying Match
Danny Doring and Roadkill vs. EZ Money and Julio Dinero w/Chris Hamrick
If Team Me Wins, They Qualify For The ECW Tag Team Tournament
Christian York and Joey Matthews vs. Team Me

Re: Extreme Championship Wrestling by Stojy

This show has its purpose as mainly just continuing to build the tag tournament. One of those necessary shows that wasn't fun to write. Things will only pick up from here.

Also, I was a little lazy with the match recaps, but that will only be a one off.

Anyway, hopefully this is still readable for anybody who decides to have a look.

    ECW Hardcore TV

    August 5th, 2000

    Houston, Texas

It’s a rare occasion in this thread where a show opens with the standard opening video and theme song, but that’s exactly what happens here. “This Is Extreme” by Harry Slash and The Slashstones gets the Houston fans even more pumped up for Hardcore TV. The cheers from the crowd are rabid, as ‘The Voice of ECW’ Joey Styles welcomes everybody to the show. Before any card hype or what not can be done, “Intergalactic” by The Beastie Boys pop and quite the pop greets the fan favourite Chris Chetti. Chetti is all smiles, glad to be back in the spotlight, as he slaps hands with the fans, realising a win over the ECW Champion could mean big things for his future. Speaking of the devil, “Snap Your Fingers, Snap Your Neck” by Grinspoon brings out the ECW Champion Justin Credible, as always followed by his girlfriend Francine. There’s a DEFEANING amount of heat being given to the champ, as Styles puts over the internal dilemma Credible seems to be facing about whether he is good enough to be champion. This is emphasised by the fact that Credible isn’t wearing the title that he threw on the floor last night; instead Francine has it over her shoulder. Once in the ring though, Credible doesn’t seem too effected as he seems just as eager as Chetti for the bell to be rung.

    Match One
Chris Chetti vs. Justin Credible w/Francine

This is basically what a majority of fans/readers would have expected going in to this, a master class in how to beat somebody you’re better than taught by Justin Credible. There’s no arrogance shown by Credible as he puts on quite the performance, but he just can’t quite put Chetti away. The biggest shock to the ECW Champion came when he slid off of the shoulders of Chetti, who was attempting a Powerslam, and LANDED THE INCREDIBLE KICK! Yet when he hooked the leg… 1…2…3!

No! CHETTI JUST MANAGED TO GET A SHOULDER UP!

The champion shows some frustration before heading to the top rope. Once there, he even strikes a quick pose for the fans, gaining a mixed reaction… AND THEN HE LEAPS OFF WITH A DIVING ELBOW DROP… BUT CHETTI ROLLS OUT OF THE WAY!

As Chetti gets to his feet and begins teeing off on the rattled Credible, Styles begins putting over that this could be the biggest upset in ECW history. Chetti tees off for awhile, before Credible swings wildly with a right hand, CHETTI DUCKS AND TAKES CREDIBLE DOWN WITH A BLUE THUNDER DRIVER! CHETTI GOES FOR THE COVER…1…2…SHOULDER UP FROM CREDIBLE!

The fans gasp, not sure how to react at the fact that Credible almost lost to Chris Chetti. With JC out of it, Chetti heads to the apron, waiting for him to get back up. Once Credible is up… CHETTI SPRINGBOARDS OFF THE ROPES BEFORE CONNECTING WITH A HURRICANRANA!

Credible slides across the ring and on instinct gets to his feet immediately, before being whipped into the turnbuckles. Chris follows Credible into the corner and begins hammering away with punches and kicks… AND FRANCINE JUMPS ONTO THE APRON, DISTRACTING THE REFEREE!

The referee runs towards her, admonishing her for the distraction, but Chetti doesn’t even notice, as he is now going punch for punch with Credible. The ECW Champion is fighting back hard, showing some real resilience… AND AS THIS IS HAPPENING… NOVA COMES FROM NOWHERE AND RIPS FRANCINE OFF OF THE APRON!

Francine looks shocked, as Nova points and menacingly yells at her “STAY OUT OF IT BITCH”! The fans around the ring pop for the comment and begin a slight “BITCH, BITCH, BITCH” CHANT DIRECTED AT Francine. Nova is now at ringside cheering on his partner, yet neither competitor in the ring seems to have noticed the ringside shenanigans. Credible well and truly has the upper hand in the fists battle now, before he whips Chetti into the ropes… HE DUCKS HIS HEAD… AND UPON RETURN CHETTI TAKES HIM OUT WITH A SCISSORS KICK!

    CHETTI WITH THE COVER…1…2…3!

    OH MY GOD!

NAH, JUST KIDDING! CREDIBLE JUST SNEAKS A SHOULDER UP!

That was the closest either man has been to getting the win so far. Chetti looks a little stressed that Credible got out of the pin again, until he notices Nova cheering him on. Nova yells “YOU CAN DO IT” channelling his inner Rob Schneider and that seems to be the encouragement needed. Chetti brings Credible back to a vertical base… AND LOOKS FOR THE SAMOAN DRIVER… BUT CREDIBLE SLIDES OFF HIS SHOULDERS… TURNS CHETTI AROUND, KICK TO THE GUT… FOLLOWED BY THE THAT’S INCREDIBLE! THE CHAMPION HOOKS THE LEG…

    1…2…3!

    Winner – Justin Credible @ 6:14

After the match, Justin Credible has one hand raised by the referee and the other by Francine, before he asks where his ECW Championship is. Francine retrieves the gold for him and hands it over, and Credible raises it above his head, a relieved yet intense look on his face. Nova continues to check on Chetti who’s barely moving inside the ring, as Credible and Francine walk up the ramp. Styles puts over the fact that after one clean victory Credible seems as arrogant as ever, as we head to our first break of the night with the Champion relishing in the heat from the fans.

    -COMMERCIAL BREAK-

    ***

Once we return from the commercial break, we see highlights of ECW on TNN last night when Pierre Carl Oulette revealed that his sole purpose in wrestling is to make as much money as possible. The easiest way to do this according to the man himself was to take up The Network’s bounty on the head of Jerry Lynn. Balls Mahoney overheard PCO state his claims and Mahoney offered some friendly advice, mentioning that he shouldn’t side with The Network because Cyrus sucks. PCO took offense to a man named Balls giving him advice, which lead to PCO head butting Balls across the bridge of his nose. From there the two got into a brawl backstage, belting each other with wild closed fists, until security were able to convince Balls to head out for his match.

    ***

We then head back to ringside where Joey Styles continues to hype what happened on TNN, until “Electric Molecular” by Chemlab plays, bringing out the upbeat, young tandem of Christian York and Joey Matthews. The two look extremely confident as they head down the ramp, slapping hands with the fans, enjoying the polite reaction they are receiving. Styles mentions that they have every right to be confident after their big victory in the four team elimination match on Hardcore TV, which earned them qualification into the ECW Tag Team Championship Tournament. “Simon Says” by Drain STH is next up, and the mood turns into EPIC amounts of heat as out steps Simon Diamond and Johnny Swinger, collectively known as Team Me. The two seem to be enjoying the heat, brushing off the fans remarks, as they vividly remember these two and CW Anderson attacking Kid Kash last week. Once the two are in the ring, Swinger looks ready to go, whilst Diamond scoffs at their opponents, not considering them real competition.

    Match Two
If Team Me Wins They Qualify For The ECW Tag Team Championship Tournament
Christian York and Joey Matthews vs. Team Me

Simon Diamond refuses to start the match, believing that his opponents aren’t worthy, so instead Swinger starts off with York. The two have an even battle, however once Diamond gets into the ring, he doesn’t take York too seriously, and ends up getting CLOTHESLINED OVER THE TOP ROPE AND OUT TO THE FLOOR!

Swinger ran into the ring to make amends… YET HE WAS TOSSED OUT OF THE RING BY JOEY MATTHEWS!

After this initial onslaught, Team Me regrouped and were able to use some dick, heel tactics to gain the advantage. They managed to only keep York down for a minute or two though before he began to fight back, capitalising off a mistake made by Swinger.

Simon Diamond gets the hot tag but so does Joey Matthews, and the match gets extremely spotty from here, with Matthews really flying around everywhere. Matthews rocks Diamond in the ring… before knocking Swinger off of the apron and to the floor. Giving him no time to breathe… MATTHEWS DIVES HEAD FIRST OUTSIDE THE RING… TAKING OUT SWINGER WITH A TOPE!

The fans love it as Joey gets back into the ring, and sits Diamond onto the top rope. Joey follows him up… AND LOOKS SET TO ATTEMPT A FRANKENSTEINER… BUT DIAMOND POKES MATTHEWS IN THE EYE AND PUSHES HIM OFF THE TOP!

Matthews has the wits to land on his feet, however he staggers around blindly, and accidentally takes out the referee with a flailing arm. Joey doesn’t even realise what’s happened… AS DIAMOND LEAPS OFF THE TOP ROPE, LOOKING FOR A DOUBLE AXE HANDLE SMASH… BUT YORK INTERCEPTS WITH A DROPKICK IN MID AIR!

Diamond has all of the air out of him and looks damn near out of it, as York has a quick word with Matthews, explaining where Simon is. Joey then brings Diamond to his feet… AND GOES FOR THE DOUBLE UNDERHOOK DDT… WHEN HE’S TURNED AROUND AND NAILED WITH A VINTAGE SPINEBUSTER BY CW ANDERSON!

The fans shit all over the interference of Team Me’s new ally, as Anderson looks pleased with his destruction. Christian York sees read and sprints at Anderson… Only to be popped in the mouth with a left hand… WHICH CAUSES HIM TO STAGGER INTO THE PROBLEM SOLVER BY DIAMOND AND SWINGER!

Anderson gives the referee a slap across the face, waking him up before running up the ramp. DIAMOND QUICKLY HOOKS YORK’S LEG… AND THE REFEREE IS LOOPY, NOT REMEMBERING THAT MATTHEWS IS THE LEGAL MAN…1…2…3!

    Winners – Team Me @ 5:27

Swinger and Diamond celebrate way over the top much to the annoyance of the crowd. You would have thought they did it on their own the way they carry on, as Diamond mouths off to the crowd. The latest team to qualify for the ECW Tag Team Championship Tournament then motion for the titles around their waists as we head to another break.

    -COMMERCIAL BREAK-

The commercials are over once again, and Joey Styles is in the back, suited and booted, and ready to shill.

Joey Styles: Welcome back, folks and just before the commercial break we witnessed Christian York and Joey Matthews up against Team Me and if Team Me won they would qualify for the ECW Tag Team Championship Tournament. Having already qualified for the tournament, York and Matthews wanted to keep their momentum going, however due to some blatant interference from CW Anderson, Team Me are now officially entered in the Tournament. Here are the brackets so far:

“Christian York and Joey Matthews vs. Unknown Opponents

The Unholy Alliance vs. The FBI

Tommy Dreamer and Jerry Lynn vs. Unknown Opponents

Justin Credible and Rhino vs. The Sandman and Chilly Willy

Team Me vs. Chris Chetti and Nova

    Da Baldies vs. Unknown Opponents”

Joey Styles: One thing’s for sure, with all the HUGE names in this tournament, whichever team does win the tag titles; they certainly would’ve earned it.

Styles then nods at the camera, his version of a send off…

To cut to the ‘interview area’, where The Sinister Minister is standing by looking sadistically happy. Not far behind him, both looking intense as ever are Mikey Whipwreck and Yoshihiro Tajiri, now collectively known as The Unholy Alliance. As the two wrestlers continue to stand in the shadows looking nonplussed, The Sinister Minister gets a bemused look on his face.

The Sinister Minister: If stupidity was painful, The FBI would be wallowing in agony at this very moment.

Minister pauses, as Tajiri doesn’t react due to probably not understanding English, whilst Mikey nods along with his manager.

The Sinister Minister: If stupidity was painful, The FBI wouldn’t have dreamed of triple teaming my close friend, Mikey!

TSM pauses, mulling over his next words, still looking rather evil.

The Sinister Minister: However, The FBI has bitten off more than the can chew. They couldn’t even take out Tajiri by himself, and now they want to try and take out Mikey as well? All The FBI has done is unite Mikey and Tajiri, they are The Unholy Alliance and they are bound together by a common enemy.

Minister seems gleeful that The FBI being bullies may end up costing them.

The Sinister Minister: Quite often, wrestling makes for strange bedfellows…

TSM points at Mikey than Tajiri, shrugging as if to say “look how odd this partnership is”.

The Sinister Minister: There are obviously culture differences between Mikey and Tajiri, and there’s obviously a language barrier between Mikey and Tajiri…

Another pause, this one just for dramatic effect, as both wrestlers in the background continues to not do much.

The Sinister Minister: But much like Mikey and I, Tajiri does speak the International language of pain!

The Sinister Minister then looks behind him at his two charges, both having their ‘angry’ faces on…

UNTIL TAJIRI SPITS GREEN MIST ONTO THE WALL!

The camera zooms in to get a look at the green mist…

AND MIKEY DECIDES TO SPIT RED MIST INTO THE WALL!

As Tajiri jumps up and down gleefully, and Mikey looks rather happy with his own handiwork, The Sinister Minister lets out his trademark laugh.

The camera then zooms into the wall, getting a final shot of the green and red mist now stained into the walls…

We are now back at ringside as “Super Bon Bon” by Soul Coughing fills the ears of the crowd, and the team of Danny Doring and Roadkill step through the curtain. The two get a fairly loud positive ovation from the fans, having earned their respect after some impressive singles efforts in the past couple of weeks. The two don’t play to the crowd to much, knowing there is just too much up for grabs tonight. They don’t have to wait long for their opponents either as “For The Love Of Money/Down On Me” by The O’Jays and Jackyl bangs through the pa system, signaling the arrival of EZ Money and Julio Dinero, accompanied by Chris Hamrick. The trio get a mediocre amount of heat from the audience, but they play it up anyway before getting to ringside.

    Match Three
Winners Get A Spot In ECW Tag Team Championship Tournament
Danny Doring and Roadkill vs. EZ Money and Julio Dinero w/Chris Hamrick

I’ve got to be honest there hasn’t been a match in this thread that I’ve wanted to write less than this one, so I’m going to keep it short and sweet. Money and Dinero try some heelish tactics to gain an advantage, but realistically the match is all about putting over the team work of Doring and Roadkill. They work quite well as a team together and even watch out for each other, not allowing Chris Hamrick to cause any kind of havoc at ringside.

It’s not a complete squash, but it really isn’t too far off. Eventually Doring and Roadkill decide enough is enough, AND THEY DROP MONEY WITH THE BUGGY BANG! DORING HOOKS THE LEG…1…2…3!

Winners – Danny Doring and Roadkill @ 4:03

As the bell rings, the referee raises the hands of both Doring and Roadkill. The two share a quick hug now, before sharing their celebration with the fans. The ECW fans are right behind Doring and Roadkill after that impressive performance…

The celebration continues as Roadkill faces the fans, and Doring heads up to the second rope to pose for the crowd…

WHEN ALL OF A SUDDEN DORING GETS DOUBLE POWERBOMBED OFF OF THE SECOND ROPE BY ANGEL AND TONY DEVITO OF DA BALDIES!

Roadkill turns around to see this, and immediately BEGINS WALLOPING AWAY WITH FISTS OF FURY AT DEVITO!

He has him rocking and reeling with the fans cheering him on… UNTIL ANGEL COMES FROM BEHIND AND NAILS THE BIG AMISH WITH A LOW BLOW!

Amish drops to the canvas in a tremendous amount of pain, as the usually aggressive ECW fans boo the shit out of Da Baldies.

DeVito sees this as his opportunity to pay Roadkill back for the punches, and he does by mounting Roady, and hammering away.

As the onslaught continues inside the ring, Angel heads to the outside… AND SETS UP A TABLE!

With all his might, and slightly comically, Tony uses all his strength to roll Roadkill under the bottom rope and to the outside. He then gives Doring a few more stomps to make sure he doesn’t think about stirring.

Once both Baldies are outside the ring, they punch Roadkill a few more times… BEFORE SENDING HIM RIGHT THROUGH THE FUCKING TABLE WITH A DOUBLE SPINEBUSTER!

The fans go NUTS, not even having time to boo, as the…

    “ECDUBBYA”

    “ECDUBBYA”

    “ECDUBBYA”

    Chants echo throughout the arena.

As Da Baldies congratulate each other on a job well done, Angel stands over Roady and yells…

“WE’LL SEE YOU AND YOUR LITTLE BUDDY IN THE FIRST ROUND, PAPA”!

Da Baldies continue to bask in the shock of the crowd, having sent a message to their opponents in the first round of the ECW Tag Team Championship Tournament.

As the cameras continue to survey a proud tag team, and a broken Roadkill amongst chips of wood, we head to our final commercial break of the evening.

    -COMMERCIAL BREAK-

    ***

Once we return from the break, a highlight video plays, showing off the amazing skills of both Kid Kash and Rob Van Dam. The video shows them displaying several of their finest moves, finishing up with RVD nailing some poor sap with a Van Terminator.

    ***

Joey Styles continues to hype how this could very well be match of the year, when “Fuck That” by Kid Rock gets the crowd head banging, as Kid Kash steps out to what is probably the LOUDEST ovation during his ECW tenure yet. Kash doesn’t really play to the fans though, because he’s a bad ass. Instead he gets inside the ring, raises his arms above his head with little theatrics, and waits for his opponent. Just to make the audience feel a little on edge there’s a pause… before “Walk” by Kilgore plays and the arena ERUPTS with the biggest pop of the night for Rob Van Dam. As always, RVD is accompanied by the eccentric, whistle blowing Bill Alfonso, and the two works the crowd to a fever pitch. Eventually RVD is done playing with the fans, and he and Kash go nose to nose.

    Match Four
Kid Kash vs. Rob Van Dam w/Bill Alfonso

I don’t really have the motivation to write a long, drawn out match recap for this one, so all you’re going to get is my ramblings and the finish. Sorry, guys.

Everybody knew what to expect from RVD in this one, the same old Van Dam we always see, the big time performer. Kid Kash really stepped his game up to another level tonight, going with Van Dam step for step. The fans were in complete shock and constantly broke into chants of “RVD”, “KASH”, “ECDUBBYA”, and “THANK YOU, PAUL”! To put in perspective to any die hard ECW fans out there, Kash reverses more of Van Dam’s high octane offense than Jerry Lynn in their first match back in 1999.

Towards the end though, with Alfonso really urging RVD on, he’s able to gain the momentum, after keeping Kash down long enough to perform ROLLING THUNDER! Rather than going for the pin, Van Dam dragged Kash to the corner… BEFORE LEAPING UP TOP… INTO THE SPLIT LEGGED MOONSAULT! RVD HOOKS THE LEG…1…2…3!

    NO!

KASH JUST GOT A SHOULDER UP!

The fans mark the fuck out, absolutely ecstatic that the match is still going, but Van Dam and Alfonso begin to look a little stressed out. RVD yells out to Alfonso, “GET ME THE CHAIR” and the obedient Alfonso picks up the steel chair that was left on the floor earlier in the match and slides it to RVD.

Van Dam picks the chair up and waits for Kash to stumble to his feet. Once Kash is up… RVD TOSSES KASH THE CHAIR… KK CATCHES IT… BEFORE RVD CAN GO FOR THE VAN DAMINATOR… KASH TOSSES THE CHAIR BACK TO RVD… WHO CATCHES IT… AND KID KASH DROPKICKS THE CHAIR INTO THE FACE OF RVD!

    “ECDUBBYA”

    “ECDUBBYA”

    “ECDUBBYA”

The chants ring out as a sore Kash makes the cover…1…2…3!

    KASH WINS!

NO! VAN DAM JUST GETS A SHOULDER OFF THE MAT!

Alfonso damn near looks like he’s about to have a heart attack now, as Kash senses his chance, dragging Van Dam back up by the hair. RVD just crumbles back to the mat though, and Kash symbols that the match may well be over, before he heads up to the top rope. Once there, he waits for RVD to get back up to a vertical base… BEFORE LEAPING OFF OF THE TOP ROPE… BUT RVD AS QUICK AS A FLASH THROWS THE CHAIR AT KASH… WHO CATCHES IT IN MID AIR… AND VAN DAM LANDS AN EPIC VAN DAMINATOR OUT OF MID FUCKING AIR!

The gasps and cheers from the audience are as loud as ever, and are followed by the obligatory “RVD” chant, as ‘The Whole F’n Show’ leaps to the top rope. With Kash not even moving… RVD COMES OFF WITH A PICTURE PERFECT FIVE STAR FROG SPLASH!

RVD sells the move, rolling around on the canvas clutching his ribs, before he hooks the leg…1…2…3!

    Winner – Rob Van Dam @ 14:11

The fans pop hard for the end of the match as well, as Alfonso continues to blow his whistle like an annoying prick outside of the ring.

Inside the ring, RVD has managed to find his way back up to his feet, and basks in the glory of another victory, doing his usual thumb taunt and what not.

As Van Dam continues his prolonged celebration, Kid Kash can be seen using the ropes to drag himself back up in the corner of the ring.

The whole arena EXPLODES into a standing ovation for KK, who seems to be winning over more fans by the minute.

RVD shakes his head, not believing the resilience of this man, as Kash, barely able to stand, still puts his fists up for another fight, screaming “BRING IT AWWWNNNNN”!

Van Dam grabs a microphone from Alfonso, before walking right up to Kash… AND PUTTING OUT HIS HAND!

The badass that he is, Kid screws up his face at first, but the crowd urge him on… AND EVENTUALLY KASH ACCEPTS THE HANDSHAKE!

The two nod at each other, a clear mutual respect, as the fans once again break into the oh so famous chant…

    “ECDUBBYA”

    “ECDUBBYA”

    “ECDUBBYA”

Kash then goes to leave, half stepping out of the ring… BUT RVD STOPS HIM!

Kash looks a little confused, and Van Dam decides it’s time to speak up.

Rob Van Dam: I don’t usually do this kinda’ thing, but that was fuckin’ awesome, man…

The crowd pop again, as Van Dam and Alfonso nod. Kash remains rather stoic though.

Rob Van Dam: And that match got me thinkin’, because I’m not in the ECW Tag Team Championship Tournament, bro. Y’see, that doesn’t roll with me, ‘coz I’m all givin’ the fans what they want, and that’s a chance to see their favourite wrestler… ROB VANDAM!

Another epic pop, as Van Dam smirks, and Kash half rolls his eyes.

Rob Van Dam: But to enter the tournament, I need a partner… After that match we just had, I don’t think it could get any better than R…V…D teaming up with the K…I…D… what do you say, dude?

As usual with RVD, the crowd continues to go BONKERS with cheers, as Kash ponders his answer…

KK looks like he genuinely doesn’t know what he’s going to say as he leans into the mic…

    Kid Kash: LET’S DO IT!

HUMUNGOUS POP… AS THE ARENA DAMN NEAR SHAKES!

RVD and Kash share another handshake, and “Walk” by Pantera hits, as they share the ring, nodding to the fans, as we fade to black.

    Hey Stojy,

Thought it would be proper to give you a review. Looking at your roster, I don't know most of those people, considering I didn't follow EC-Dub during this time. However, I'm going to read what you've got so far and give an appropriate review.

OK, so it's quite challenging to give a proper review on the story line elements, when I don't know a lot about the characters. Although when looking down the roster again, I noticed I recognized more names than I thought. I just recently found out about Steve Corino (before reading this thread) and dude was f'n awesome! Corino > Punk (at least WWE version). I'm curious as to win he's getting the main strap. Also wondering if RVD will get the strap earlier on than when he got it in 2006.

I really like the effort you put into your work, it makes the words come to life, which is great to enchant the reader, even if they don't know much about the specifics.

All-in-all, really good work and keep it up! Maybe after some ECW homework, I'll be able to give a proper review.

Re: Extreme Championship Wrestling by Stojy

So I figure I'd comment on the entirety of this BTB thus far. I'm really loving the way it's going so just some thoughts as I've read through the entire thing in the past few days.

Every time I read "The Network" I think of WWE Network since I didn't grow up in this time. Took me a bit to get it fixed in my head. I like them constantly berating the commentators and I'm curious to see how things go.

Another thing I find interesting, I'm not sure what The Sandman will end up in or if this was just his schtick and since I didn't watch then I'm unaware, but I love him just randomly showing up and attacking literally everyone.

I'm hoping you do some great things with Kid Kash, I always thought he had a good bit of talent and he fits well in this environment. With the tag tournament and him joining RVD, I'm intrigued by where this will go.

Rhino is easily my favorite part of all of this, and I'm looking forward to his feud progressing with Justin Credible.

I'm not too into Justin Credible yet. I'm starting to get there, but he's never been the most impressive guy to me anyway. I do like his recognizing he needs interference to win and him feeling like a bum over it. I'm curious to explore his character more there.

Your style is very fun to read. So big props on that.

Little Guido is fun, though you seem to say he'll be known as Nunzio quite often. I'm thinking try to avoid that phrase for a bit, it's running it's course a bit. The FBI is great, I wonder how Tajiri and Whipwreck will fare against them.

Overall, I'm really enjoying this, I think it's been a fun ride thus far. I'm curious to see where things are going as someone who never watched around this time, but my biggest takeaways are just looking forward to more FBI, more Kid Kash, more Rhino and the feud of The Network against Jerry Lynn. I'm looking forward to more installments, seeing where things go.

(As for the stuff I didn't like, btw, you can see I haven't mentioned a few people like PCO and Balls Mahoney, or some of the tag teams, I just haven't been impacted by them yet so hoping to get more into their characters and see from there.)

Cheers for the comments from both of you. Jaywhy, touching on your mid card comment, it's a bit of a slow burn but I'm hoping it will eventually make sense.

Sorry for the wait in between posts also, but real life kicked my ass this week.

I'm also looking at giving some feedback to Jaywhy's Backlash and anything else I feel like reading before posting the show.

    ECW on TNN Preview

    11-08-2000

Two weeks ago on Hardcore TV, we were supposed to see the much maligned ECW Champion Justin Credible defend the title against Kid Kash. Before the match could even begin, Team Me and CW Anderson attacked Kash in the back, resulting in him being unable to compete in the scheduled match. Danny Doring went on to be Kash’s replacement and put up an extraordinary effort, only just succumbing to Credible after some interference from Francine. The crowd that night chanted for Kash throughout the match, and the owner of ECW Paul Heyman decided Kash would still get his title shot, and Kash has decided to cash it in tonight. The main event is set in stone, Credible and Kash, two men who seem to be on the opposite sides of the spectrum of life. The champion has been using Francine or other unlikely allies in all of his title defences to make sure he retains the title. He has questioned his own ability and even looked like forfeiting the title last week on TNN, until Cyrus and Rhino were able to talk/scare some sense into him. Cyrus claims that The Network have invested a lot into Justin Credible, but just what, nobody knows. Last week on Hardcore TV, Credible was able to pick up a victory over Chris Chetti without any interference, and hopefully for his sake that will be enough to inspire the confidence to defeat Kash tonight. The challenger Kid Kash couldn’t be more confident, as he has been riding this huge surge of momentum since Heatwave. He hadn’t even looked like losing a match until last week on Hardcore TV, when he lost to Rob Van Dam. RVD is arguably the best big time performer in the ECW ranks, so a loss to him in a fifteen minute match of the year candidate is nothing to frown about. Joey Styles said it best last week when he noted that nobody had tested and reversed all of Van Dam’s high impact moves like that in years. With RVD and Kash showing mutual respect after the match and entering into the ECW Tag Team Championship Tournament as a team, Kash’s confidence must be through the roof. Will the redneck challenger who started from the bottom be able to claw his way to the top, or will the champion find another way to retain the ECW Championship? There’s only one way to find out, tune in.

Of course the main event isn’t the only action and as great as that will be, there will also be quite the sombre moment on the show tonight. ECW on TNN and Hardcore TV both took place in Houston, Texas last week, and there will be some disturbing footage played of an incident which took place off of TV. CW Anderson has already forged quite the unflattering reputation for himself as somebody who isn’t afraid to attack from behind, and the beating on Kid Kash backstage two weeks ago is a perfect example. Last week Anderson took things to a whole new level when he attacked Jazz, who of course is a women’s wrestler. ECW would like to make it clear that we do not condone these actions or violence against women in any form, but the footage will be shown to the world at the request of Tommy Dreamer. Nobody is really sure why Dreamer wants the footage to be shown, but hopefully this will be answered tonight.

In other action tonight, EZ Money will go one on one with ‘The Japanese Buzzsaw’ Yoshihiro Tajiri, who continues to have issues with The FBI. For weeks on end now, starting from ECW on TNN four weeks ago, Tajiri’s appearances have been riddled with interference thanks to The FBI. The Italian faction has had it in for Tajiri ever since he eliminated their leader Little Guido at Heatwave. Despite the constant beat downs, Tajiri has continued to fight back, and last week he may have just acquired the back up that he needed. Little Guido was able to pick up a victory against Mikey Whipwreck, thanks to interference from Johnny Stamboli and Sal E. Graziano. The trio looked set to continue the assault after the match, until Tajiri made the save, and together he and Mikey cleared the ring. Following their triumph, there was a handshake orchestrated by The Sinister Minister, and The Unholy Alliance was born. With Tajiri now having somebody to watch his back, perhaps his match with EZ Money will be a fair one on one contest.

Bilvis Wesley and Tom Marquez will also be in tag team action against Danny Doring and Roadkill, and Lou. E Dangerously has confirmed that ‘The Danger Zone’ will open the show; however he’s yet to confirm who will be appearing on the talk show as a special guest.

Tune in to see all this and more at ECW on TNN!

    Confirmed Matches:

    ECW Championship Match:

Justin Credible w/Francine defends against Kid Kash

EZ Money w/Chris Hamrick and Julio Dinero vs. Yoshihiro Tajiri

Bilvis Wesley and Tom Marquez vs. Danny Doring and Roadkill

    ECW on TNN

    11-08-2000

    Huntington, West Virginia

No opening video, no theme music, none of that nonsense. This is ECW…

The fans are already BELTING out enough heat to make the building shake, as Lou E. Dangerously stands in the ring to open the show. Dangerously has a pompous look on his face as usual, showing hatred towards the fans, as he straightens up his suit, and adjusts the backwards hat he wears as only he (and Paul Heyman) can.

Being down south, the West Virginia fans don’t take to kindly to Lou, chanting…

    “DIE FUCKER DIE”

    “DIE FUCKER DIE”

    “DIE FUCKER DIE”

Lou E does his best to ignore the chants and the GARBAGE THAT IS NOW BEING THROWN INTO THE RING FROM ALL ANGLES!

The mouthy individual in the ring laughs it off, UNTIL A CUP OF SODA IS THROWN ALL OVER HIS JACKET!

As the fans mark the fuck out, and begin a

    “ECDUBBYA”

    “ECDUBBYA”

    “ECDUBBYA”

Chant, Lou E rips off his blazer, no longer in a great mood.

Lou E. Dangerously: …I’m… all of a sudden not so proud to welcome all you INBRED HICKS to THE DANGER ZONE!

The fans hate Lou, and he hates them right back, so it gives the fans no other alternative other than to boo the hell out of him.

Lou E. Dangerously: The Danger Zone is always the highlight of the show when ECW comes to town, but tonight, I just want to get it over and done with, so I can get the hell out of this cesspool known as Huntington!

Cheap heat from Dangerously who looks disgusted and the rowdy ECW fans continue to get on his case.

Lou E. Dangerously: So without further ado, let me introduce my guest for the evening, he is the reigning ECW Champion… JUSTIN CREDIBLE!

Dangerously only has to wait a moment or two, as the fans continue to hurl garbage over the barricade…

When “Snap Your Fingers, Snap Your Neck” by Grinspoon plays, and out steps the ECW Champion Justin Credible, as always accompanied by the lovely Francine. The crowd reaction is still pretty negative towards the champ, although it’s certainly not as hostile as what Lou E. has had to put up with tonight. Credible is in a plain tee and jean shorts, and struts to the ring confidently, paying the fans no attention at all. On commentary, Styles and Gertner are quick to point out that after last week’s win against Chris Chetti on Hardcore TV, Credible seems to have his confidence back.

Once Credible and Francine are in the ring, Credible picks up a mic, as the brown nosing Lou E. shakes Credible’s hand eagerly, and gives Francine a sleazy kiss on the hand. Credible looks at the crowd as if to say “is this guy fucking serious”, whilst Francine looks slightly appalled.

Lou E. Dangerously: Firstly, I wanted to say thank you to both of you for appearing on The Danger Zone tonight, but particularly you, Justin. It is both an honour and a privilege to have such a great champion on my show, which of course is backed by The Network.

As per usual, any mention of The Network causes the fans to riot. Lou E. loves it, whilst Credible is smirking at all the compliments coming his way. Meanwhile, Francine fades into the background, not of any real significance at this point in time.

Lou E. Dangerously: You have valiantly defended the ECW Championship night after night, your spirit and skill are both admirable. You have made nothing short of a… incredible impact on ECW, and as far as I’m concerned, there are only two things you can do to further cement your legacy.

The motor mouth pauses again, as the champ continues to enjoy the brown nosing, asking “what’s that?”

Lou E. Dangerously: You need to capitalise on your spot in the tag team tournament and win the ECW Tag Team Championships with Rhino… And you need to JOIN THE NETWORK!

An ENORMOUS amount of heat can be heard from that statement, as Lou E. nods his head vehemently.

Credible looks at Francine who no sells it, so with the same smirk on his face he decides to speak up.

Justin Credible: I don’t know why everybody in The Network or associated with The Network seems to think me joining them will cure all of the world’s problems… It won’t. I don’t work well with others.

The fans don’t really know how to react, but there are a few cheers for Credible, as Lou E. pleads his case off the microphone.

Justin Credible: I’m not some curtain jerker looking for a partner to build myself up in the company, I’m not a guy who can’t win the big one looking for some help along the way, I’m the ECW Champion. I’m incredible, and I’ve always been incredible, and I do it on my own.

Some more slight cheers for the champ, as he looks pretty annoyed at having to explain himself. Dangerously looks damn near distraught though, not enjoying the way this is going so far.

Justin Credible: The only time I haven’t been on my own is when I carried that boring piece of crap!

Well, he’s a heel again now. HUGE heat emanates from the crowd, as Credible throws a pot shot at Lance Storm. Lou E. nods his head, seemingly agreeing with Credible’s evaluation of his former partner.

Justin Credible: So tell me Lou, with all of that being said, why do I need The Network?

Justin lowers his microphone, having made his point…

Lou E. wipes some sweat from his forehead, looking set to respond when “The Old School Style” by Boner interrupts proceedings, and the audience muster even more FERRAL HEAT as ‘The King Of Old School’ Steve Corino makes his way out from the back. In casual clothing as well, Corino has his eyes fixed on the situation in the ring, ignoring the insults from the fans. Credible rolls his eyes at another member of The Network coming out, whilst Lou E. cheers Corino on way to eagerly.

Once in the ring, Corino asks for Lou E’s mic, before LAUGHING INTO IT… A PROPER, LONG, BELLY LAUGH, much to the shock of just about everybody in the arena. Everybody has a confused look on their face, before Corino points at what his laughing at… The ECW Champion, Justin Credible.

Steve Corino: I’m sorry to interrupt but Justin, when have you ever done anything on your own?

Corino continues to put on a fake laugh, as Credible takes a menacing step forward, clearly not happy.

Steve Corino: I’m a fair man, I give credit where credit is due, but I’m also not afraid to take away credit when it’s not deserved. I’ll give you credit for being the champion, but let’s get one thing out in the open; you have never accomplished anything by yourself…

Credible is furious, as Steve shakes his head at him. The fans aren’t really sure how to react, there’s just a general buzz echoing around the arena.

Steve Corino: I also give you credit for being a smart man. You have the tendency to trade up… So uh, well done for that as well I guess.

Corino has confused everybody for the second time tonight, but he seems ready to explain himself.

Steve Corino: Your first successful trade… You traded a JOCK STRAP for jean shorts…

Laughter from everybody, including some fans, at the cheap shot at Credible’s WWF Aldo Montoya days. Even Lou E. laughs until Credible shoots him a death stare.

Steve Corino: Once you got the taste of your first successful trade, you continued to sell yourself around like a prostitute to further your own career. You traded Chastity for Nicole Bass, Nicole Bass for Jazz, and Jazz for Lance Storm.

The fans are rather quiet now, as Credible isn’t sure how to react to Corino’s trip down memory lane.

Steve Corino: Hell, I’ve got more. You traded Jason for Francine, Lance Storm for a main event spot, the ECW Tag titles for the ECW title, and you even traded The Sandman’s nickname for somebody else’s gimmick!

    OH~!

Credible is dead set furious now, as the fans murmur at Corino’s comments. ‘The King of Old School’ is just as serious now though, looking the champ right in the eyes.

Steve Corino: So with all due respect “champ”, The Network has already saved your ass TWICE in the last month, you have no right to ask why you should join The Network. Ask yourself what The Network can do for you with Jerry Lynn on the horizon in two months time.

“WHAT IF I DON’T WANNA JOIN”- Justin Credible asks off the mic.

Steve Corino: If you don’t join The Network? It doesn't make a difference for us.

The champion screws up his face, as Corino shrugs matter of factly.

Steve Corino: It shouldn’t come to a surprise to anybody by now, but in case you don’t know, The Network always gets what it wants… Unfortunately for you, The Network wants the ECW Championship, and one way or another, we’ll have it!

Corino smiles arrogantly, as the fans boo the fuck out of him for all the promotion of The Network. Despite looking rather irritated throughout Corino’s speech, Credible is now pretending to be overly confused, tapping himself on the head.

Justin Credible: I’m a little confused, Steve. Y’see, you come out here and you run your mouth about all these aspirations The Network have as if it’s a foregone conclusion that they are gonna’ happen. If The Network is so great, and in your words, “always gets what it wants”, WHY is Jerry Lynn the number one contender to my ECW title, and NOT YOU?

Probably the LOUDEST POP Credible has ever received, as he makes quite the good point. He can’t help but smirk a little, as Corino and Lou E. see red. Just because I haven’t mentioned her in awhile, Francine is smirking along with her man.

Justin Credible: Your speech was clever, I liked what you tried to sell, but I’m not buying it. Besides, I’m not exactly stressed over Jerry Lynn; I’ve made my career in this very ring BEATING Jerry Lynn!

The arrogance of the champion is back, so the heat is as well, although there are still some cheers mixed in. As Credible continues to excel in his confident state of mind, the two Network members seem pretty unhappy.

Justin Credible: I’ve got the girl, I’ve got the spotlight, AND I’ve got the ECW Championship. I’ve got everything, there’s NOTHING that The Network can offer me!

The fans continue to buzz in anticipation, as Corino and Credible are now nose to nose…

AND BOTH MEN DROP THEIR MICROPHONES!

They look set to duke it out, despite Francine and Lou. E doing their best to separate the two men…

But before they can go at it, the fans MARK THE FUCK OUT…

AS JERRY LYNN SLIDES INTO THE RING!

Surprisingly, LYNN SHOVES CREDIBLE OUT OF THE WAY…AND BEGINS PEPPERING CORINO’S FACE WITH RIGHT HANDS!

The fans are at a fever pitch, as Lou E and Francine quickly escape the ring.

A shocked Credible watches on from the canvas, as Styles puts over the fact that Lynn wants revenge for the dirty finish to his loss to Corino last week on TNN!

Corino tries to fight back… BUT LYNN KEEPS SMASHING HIS FACE IN WITH RIGHT HANDS, DRIVING HIM TO A SEATED POSITION IN THE CORNER!

All of a sudden, LYNN TURNS INTO CREDIBLE CHARGING AT HIM FOR A TITLE SHOT… BUT LYNN DUCKS… AND THEN KICKS HIM IN THE GUT!

The champion drops the title, and Lou E. senses his chance, REACHING IN AND DRAGGING CORINO FROM THE RING!

As the two hightail it up the ramp, Lynn picks up the title that Credible drops… AND SMASHES HIM ACROSS THE FACE WITH IT!

The fans mark the fuck out, as Francine pleads with Lynn to stop from outside the ring…

Lynn doesn’t listen though, instead bringing Credible back up… AND DROPPING HIM WITH THE CRADLE PILEDRIVER!

Credible is out of it, Lynn has run off Steve Corino, and dominated the ECW Champion.

The number one contender then looks at the title, as the fans chant…

    “JERRY LYNN”

    “JERRY LYNN”

    “JERRY LYNN”

The admiration from the fans to Lynn continues to show, as Lynn picks up the coveted ECW Title.

We then see Jerry Lynn stand over Justin Credible and raise the ECW Championship above his head as we cut to our first commercial break.

    -COMMERCIAL BREAK-

Once we return from commercials, it’s time for Joey Styles and Joel Gertner to have their say, whilst the fans are still buzzing over the explosive opening to the show.

Joey Styles: Well, folks, I guess it’s welcome and welcome back to ECW on TNN! I’m ‘The Voice of ECW’ Joey Styles, and alongside me is Joel Gertner. I’m… I’m almost speechless, what a night this has already turned out to be.

Joel Gertner: The question remains, is Justin Credible going to join The Network or isn’t he? Considering what Jerry Lynn just did to him, he may be reconsidering the offer.

Joey Styles: One has to wonder whether Credible will be at one hundred percent when he defends the ECW Championship against Kid Kash in our main event! The match has already been postponed once, it won’t happen again.

Joel Gertner: Kash isn’t exactly a slouch, either. Except for maybe Rob Van Dam, Kash would have to go close to being one of the best at ECW!

Joey Styles: That match will be later tonight, but first, we’ve got some tag team action!

Almost as if on cue, as soon as Styles finishes his statement, “Sad But True” by Metallica plays throughout the arena, and Bilvis Wesley and Tom Marquez step out to very little fanfare, besides the old wolf whistle at their manager, Elektra. They both mouth off at the fans, doing all they can to get some heat, but nobody really cares about these two. Some mad props need to go to Joey Styles though, as he does all he can to put the team over as a legitimate threat. Once they are in the ring, “Super Bon Bon” by Soul Coughing busts through the pa system, and the fans chirp up a bit now, as Danny Doring and Roadkill make their way out. Unlike with their opponents, Doring and Roadkill get some pretty nice cheers from the ECW faithful, and they repay them by slapping the fans hands as they head to the ring. When they get inside the ring it’s all business though, as momentum is hugely important this close to the ECW Tag Team Championship Tournament.

    Match One
Bilvis Wesley and Tom Marquez w/Elektra vs. Danny Doring and Roadkill

Honestly, there isn’t really too much to say about this one. Danny Doring and Roadkill are participating in the ECW Tag Team Championships Tournament, whereas Wesley and Marquez aren’t. With that being noted, Wesley and Marquez make the perfect fodder for Doring and Roadkill to squash and look beastly ahead of the tournament.

As Doring and Roadkill dominate, showing some impressive teamwork, Styles and Gertner hype the Tag Tournament, as it will begin in just two weeks time in New York City. The commentators continue to do their thing, and one huge announcement Styles makes, just as he receives the news himself, is that Jerry Lynn and Tommy Dreamer’s first round opponents will be Kid Kash and Rob Van Dam!

The commentators also put over Doring and Roadkill’s first round match against Da Baldies, before despite Elektra’s plea; THEY TAKE OUT MARQUEZ WITH THE BUGGY BANG! DORING HOOKS THE LEG…1…2…3!

Winners – Danny Doring and Roadkill @ 2:33

The bell rings as Elektra curses on the outside, meanwhile in the ring, Doring and Roadkill slap each other some five.

The fans give them a polite cheer, enjoying their fluent team work tonight, as Styles claims they’ll need the same and more in the tag tournament.

As the unlikely yet effective duo continue to celebrate…

    We cut backstage!

To the interview area/basement, where The Unholy Alliance, The Sinister Minister, Mikey Whipwreck and Yoshihiro Tajiri stand by. The SM looks at the camera, not really showing much emotion, as Tajiri does the same, whereas Mikey has a grin on his face… and for some unknown reason other than because his whacky is wearing a Sombrero. The crowd are sure to cheer the hell out of the ECW favourites.

Mikey continues to grin, until Minister shoots him a quick glance, at which point he becomes one with the serious nature of his two stable mates.

The Sinister Minister: Today’s sermon is about temptation. Temptation can come in various forms; however the most dangerous temptation is temptation of the flesh.

Minister pauses, as Mikey nods along, clearly agreeing.

The Sinister Minister: Throughout my years in this word, I’ve found the greatest satisfaction in just giving in to temptation of the flesh…

The audience doesn’t react, not really knowing what to think, as TSM pauses again.

The Sinister Minister: That’s what Mikey and I are here to teach young Yoshihiro Tajiri tonight. Succumbing to the temptation of the flesh can bless a man with tremendous happiness.

A pop from some of the male fans in attendance, as Mikey can’t help but grin a little.

The Sinister Minister: So we are going to conduct a little training session for Tajiri tonight, so Mikey, if you could please go get the subject…

Mikey dutifully nods, before rushing off camera… and we awkwardly wait in silence as Tajiri and the fans wonder what the hell is going on…

WHEN MIKEY COMES BACK INTO SCREENSHOT WITH ELEKTRA!

The male fans immediately mark the fuck out, and Tajiri’s eyes bulge out of his head as Elektra is wearing nothing but all white lingerie.

    Tajiri looks towards TSM inquisitively…

The Sinister Minister: (tilting his head in Elektra’s direction) Go on, son…

‘The Japanese Buzzsaw’ walks towards Elektra in his usual stance when he’s about to kick somebody’s head off. Elektra doesn’t seem all that impressed, as Tajiri is mind boggles, a creepy smile on his face proving that he loves what he sees.

The fans love it to, as is Mikey, however The Sinister Minister just watches on intently.

Yoshiro Tajiri: ME LOVE YOU LONG TIME!

Laughter can be heard for the broken English of Tajiri, before he reaches out and GROPES ELEKTRA’S ASS!

AND ELEKTRA RESPONDS WITH A HUGE SLAP ACROSS THE FACE!

Instinctively, Tajiri grabs at his cheek… BEFORE SPRAYING THE GREEN MIST INTO THE FACE OF ELEKTRA!

BUT WE DON’T GET TO SEE IT ON TV, AS A HUGE “CENSORED BY TNN” COMES OVER THE SCREEN!

The loudest heat we’ve probably heard so far in the thread can be heard for this, as the censor comes off just as Elektra runs out of screenshot.

The Sinister Minister: I’ve heard of spraying a girl in the face… But that’s a horse of a different colour…

The Sinister Minister and Whipwreck share a chuckle, before they try their best to comfort Tajiri.

Mikey eventually lets Tajiri wear his Sombrero, which seems to cheer him up as we head to commercials.

    -COMMERCIAL BREAK-

As the commercials come to an end, it’s time for Joey Styles and Joel Gertner, a sombre looking pair at the minute, ready to have a chat.

Joey Styles: Welcome back to ECW on TNN, ladies and gentleman. Now even though here at ECW we like to occasionally push the boundaries, there’s a line that nobody should cross.

Joel Gertner: Nobody likes to have a joke more than me, Joey, but this is definitely not a joke. This footage we are about to witness from last week in Houston is despicable.

Joey Styles: For those of you who don’t know, we are talking about the incident where CW Anderson committed the heinous act of attacking ECW female wrestler, Jazz. All wrestlers in ECW are trained professionals; however that does not allow for men to put their hands on females. I’d like to apologise ahead of time for this disturbing footage we are about to show, and for those of you who are easily offended, perhaps its best if you look away now…

    ***

A video then plays for the fans at home, obviously from Houston last week, as Jazz is in the middle of a tough match with a local talent. After ducking a huge Clothesline though, Jazz is able to land a Snap DDT to pick up the win.

As the fans cheer her on, appreciating her performance in this dark match, the cheers quickly turns into heat because CW Anderson is running down the ramp!

Jazz doesn’t realise, as the fans booing should probably make her notice. Eventually she turns around though… AND CW ANDERSON RUNS THROUGH JAZZ WITH A CLOTHESLINE!

The defenceless female flips in mid air, as the Clothesline turns her inside out. The heat is UNDESCRIBABLE from the Houston fans, as Anderson laughs to himself before sliding out of the ring.

As Anderson slides a WOODEN TABLE in the ring, Jazz continues to lie motionless on the canvas…

Once CW has the table all set up, he brings Jazz up roughly… BEFORE SENDING HER CRASHING THROUGH THE TABLE WITH A SPINEBUSTER!

The fans continue to boo the shit out of the woman basher, as Anderson mouths “THAT’S HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT”!

CW looks down at Jazz and looks set to continue the assault, until TOMMY DREAMER SPRINTS DOWN THE RAMP!

Anderson calls for him to bring it, however much the fans chagrin, when Dreamer slides into the ring, CWANDERSON QUICKLY SLIDES OUT!

Dreamer’s face s bright red in anger, he’s actually trembling, as he begs Anderson to get back inside the ring.

Anderson continues to back away from the ring, a smirk on his face as he yells “FINALLY I GOT SOMEBODY’S ATTENTION”!

With CW now a safe distance away, still enjoying himself, Dreamer begins checking on the motionless Jazz as the video fades to black.

    ***

There’s nothing but silence both in the arena, and from Joey Styles and Joel Gertner for a few moments…

Joel Gertner: Wow! I-… I still don’t know what to say, Joey…

Joey Styles: I for one am FURIOUS not only for the damage done to Jazz, but the HUGE DENT this puts on the reputation of our sport. CW Anderson, you said you finally wanted attention, well, you’ve got it. It has been confirmed by the powers that be that next week at ECW on TNN, CW Anderson and Tommy Dreamer will go one on one. I can’t wait to see Anderson get what he deserves next week.

Joel Gertner: I couldn’t agree more, Joey, but on a just as important note, we want to send our best wishes to Jazz. Rest up, get better, and we can’t wait to see you back at ECW.

Before these two nice guys continue to make me vomit, “For The Love Of Money/Down On Me” changes the mood, however it’s still not to a positive one as EZ Money struts through the curtain, followed closely by Chris Hamrick and Julio Dinero. Money is the only one competing tonight so he leads the pack, yet they are all as cocky as ever to the audience, which leads to them getting insulted by fans from all directions. “Smack My Bitch Up” by The Prodigy FINALLY does change the mood, as the crowd lets out an epic pop for ‘The Japanese Buzzsaw’ Yoshihiro Tajiri. As usual Tajiri is all business as he walks down the ramp, already zoning in on his opponents. Styles also puts over the fact that even though Tajiri has a tag team partner now, his pride dictates that he still comes for singles matches alone. Once Tajiri gets in the ring, the referee calls for the bell, and it’s time to get this one underway.

    Match Two
EZ Money w/Chris Hamrick and Julio Dinero vs. Yoshihiro Tajiri

The tone of the match was pretty much set from the beginning, as EZ Money had to go all he could to avoid some explosive kicks from Tajiri. Eventually though, due to a distraction from Chris Hamrick, EZ Money is able to get the advantage. EZ clobbers Tajiri from behind, really rough housing the smaller man for a few minutes, before landing a NORTHERN LIGHTS SUPLEX AND HOOKING THE LEG…1…2…TAJIRI KICKS OUT!

Money gets frustrated, and beats on Tajiri a little more, before heading up to the top rope. Tajiri is up to his feet rather quickly though, AND IS ABLE TO CROTCH MONEY ON THE TOP ROPE! With Money in trouble on the top rope, Tajiri begins lighting him up with brutal double handed Knife Edged Chops. Tajiri then begins climbing up the ropes… UNTIL CHRIS HAMRICK ROLLS INTO THE RING… BUT TAJIRI SEES HIM AND LEAPS OFF THE SECOND ROPE, TAKING HIM OUT WITH A REVERSE ELBOW!

Tajiri then does climb to the top rope… and despite some resistance from EZ… TAJIRI LANDS A SUPERPLEX OFF THE TOP ROPE AND TO THE CANVAS!

Both men remain down for a moment, selling the effects of the high risk/impact move, whilst the fans cheer on ‘The Japanese Buzzsaw’. Tajiri does get to his feet first though, eyeing his stirring opponent… UNTIL JULIO DINERO HOPS ONTO THE APRON… ONLY FOR TAJIRI TO DAMN NEAR KNOCK HIM OUT WITH A ROUNDHOUSE KICK!

But Tajiri had his eyes off the prize for too long, as EZ spins him around, kicks him in the gut… AND GOES FOR A POWERBOMB… BUT TAJIRI REVERSES INTO A SUNSET FLIP… BEFORE QUICKLY GETTING TO HIS FEET AND LANDING THE BUZZSAW KICK TO THE STILL SEATED EZ MONEY!

Sensing the end is near, with the crowd popping like crazy, Tajiri brings EZ back up… AND THEN PLANTS HIM WITH A BRAINBUSTER! TAJIRI HOOKS THE LEG…1…2…3!

    Winner – Yoshihiro Tajiri @ 05:02

Now that the match is over you would think Tajiri would have time to celebrate, right? Think again. The crowd’s cheers quickly turn to jeers as JULIO DINERO AND CHRIS HAMRICK CLOBBER TAJIRI FROM BEHIND!

The two beat on him with generic punches and kicks, before they whip him into the ropes… AND UPON RETURN, TAJIRI HITS A WIDE DROPKICK… WITH ONE FOOT TAKING OUT EACH MAN!

He then gets back just in time to see EZ MONEY CHARGING AT HIM… AND HE KO’S HIM WITH A ROUNDHOUSE KICK!

Tajiri lets out a ferocious raw, as those famous chants pick up again.

    “ECDUBBYA”

    “ECDUBBYA”

    “ECDUBBYA”

They die down rather quickly though, as TAJIRI IS NOW CLOBBERED FROM BEHIND BY TONY MAMALUKE AND SAL E. GRAZIANO!

The commentators expertly put over that this means the Full Blooded Italians issues aren’t finished with Tajiri, as they hammer away…

‘The Japanese Buzzsaw’ begins to fight back though, hammering with rights and lefts to the mid section of both men… BEFORE HE’S LOW BLOWED FROM BEHIND BY LITTLE GUIDO!

AND THIS IS QUICKLY FOLLOWED BY THE KISS OF DEATH!

The audience is volcanic as they ERUPT with heat, whilst the little leader of The FBI tells his cohorts “GO AN GETTA’ TABLE”!

Mamaluke and Graziano both get outside the ring, looking to please their boss… When the fans pick up again…

BECAUSE MIKEY WHIPWRECK IS RUNNING TO THE RING!

And he’s not empty handed; he has a BASEBALL BAT THAT IS ON FIRE!

MIKEY SLIDES INTO THE RING… AND LITTLE GUIDO IMMEDIATELY SLIDES OUT!

The FBI hightail it up the ramp and to the back, as Mikey now carefully drops the bat, and checks on Tajiri.

As Mikey is distracted, security drags the bat out of the ring… AND HOLY FUCK!

A LITTLE BIT OF THE CANVAS IS ACTUALLY ON FUCKING FIRE!

A bunch of security immediately charge out from the back with a fire extinguisher, and they begin putting out the fire.

Whilst all this is happening, the fans break out in another one of those chants…

    “ECDUBBYA”

    “ECDUBBYA”

    “ECDUBBYA”

And now a round of applause, as Whipwreck has managed to get the valiant Tajiri to his feet. Mikey claps for Tajiri as well, showing him the upmost respect, as the Japanese native takes in the reception, despite being a little annoyed with The FBI’s actions.

As the ovation continues, we had to commercials…

    -COMMERCIAL BREAK-

“Fuck That” by Kid Rock greets us from commercials, and to a HUMUNGOUS pop out comes Kid Kash. Kash looks all business, no fuss as per usual, not paying much attention to the fans despite their adulation. Styles puts over just how focused he looks, and that’s why he’s been on such a roll as of late. Once Kash is in the ring, “Snap Your Fingers, Snap Your Neck” by Grinspoon is heard for the second time tonight, as a dishevelled looking ECW Champion Justin Credible is accompanied from the back by Francine. There’s a LOUD reaction for the champ, a majority of it heat, although there is the odd cheer after Credible stood up to Steve Corino earlier in the night. As Credible gets into the ring, he kisses the ECW title, before locking eyes with Kid Kash and taking a deep breath, knowing he’s in for the fight of his life.

    Match Three
    ECW Championship Match
Justin Credible w/Francine defends against Kid Kash

The match began with both men going nose to nose, before Credible takes a step back, and offers a handshake. Kash looks around at the fans, who all beg him not to shake, but the ECW Champion is insistent. Kash eventually slaps Credible’s hand away, yelling “AFTER WHAT YA’ HAD TEAM ME DO TA’ ME… I’M HERE TA’ FIGHT”!

The crowd pops hard for the challenger’s statement, and Credible lands a sneaky right hand… BUT KASH NO SELLS IT! Credible tries to beg off as Kash begins hammering away with some hard right forearms, really rocking the champion. He backs Credible into the corner, continuing to hammer away, before he takes just a moment for a breather. As he does is. FRANCINE TRIPS CREDIBLE AND QUICKLY DRAGS HIM OUT OF THE RING!

As Credible is on the outside, Francine tries to slap some sense into him, whilst he obviously favours his neck. Whilst the fans tell him to get into the ring, Styles puts over the fact that his struggling with his neck after the Cradle Piledriver from Jerry Lynn earlier in the night. Kash has had enough and HE SLIDES OUT OF THE RING… AND GIVES CHASE TO CREDIBLE!

The two sprint around the ring, with Credible sliding back into the ring… and Kash follows him in, only for Credible to begin stomping all over Kash. Sensing this is his chance, Credible now hammers away on Kash, having obviously found a new appetite for the contest. Credible beats on Kash in the corner, before whipping him into the opposite corner… BUT KASH SHOWS TREMENDOUS ATHLETICISM… CLIMBING ONTO THE ROPES… AND LANDING A BANKROLL EARLY ON! KASH HOOKS THE LEG…1…2…3!

NO! CREDIBLE GETS A SHOULDER UP!

The fans were on their feet for a moment there, but the challenger shows no signs of emotion. Kash gets up and looks for high risk again, heading to the top rope… ONLY TO BE SMASHED IN THE BACK WITH A STEEL CHAIR BY FRANCINE!

The referee admonishes Francine but it doesn’t matter, as a hurt KK just manages to stay perched on the top rope. With Kash stunned, Credible hits him with a few Knife Edged Chops, before climbing up… AND DROPPING KASH WITH A SUPERPLEX! CREDIBLE DRAPES AN ARM OVER KASH…1…2…3…KASH JUST GETS A SHOULDER UP!

Thanks to Francine, Credible now has the advantage, and he begins to beat the living hell out of the challenger. At times Credible still favours the neck, but he fights through the pain, showing that he truly is a warrior with heart. Throughout the typical heel period of domination, Kash does all he can to get back into it, however every time he looks set to build some sort of momentum… FRANCINE INTERFERES!

Styles puts over the fact that Francine is half the reason why Credible has won some of his title matches, and it looks like that could be the case again. Eventually, FRANCINE THROWS A SINGAPORE CANE TO CREDIBLE… AND BEGINS SETTING UP A TABLE ON THE OUTSIDE AT THE REQUEST OF HER MAN!

Credible uses his usual skills with the Singapore Cane, pounding away at Kash, but he’s just unable to put him away. Credible continues to show no mercy, bringing the challenger back up… AND DROPPING HIM WITH THE SINGAPORE CANE ASSISTED RUSSIAN LEG SWEEP! CREDIBLE HOOKS THE LEG…1…2…3!

NO! KASH JUST GETS A SHOULDERUP!

Cheers echo throughout the arena, as the fans urge Kash to battle back into things. Meanwhile, Credible sets himself, waiting for Kash to get up… Kash uses the ropes to get to his feet, and when he does… CREDIBLE HITS THE INCREDIBLE KICK! NO! KASH DUCKS… AND GETS CREDIBLE INTO THE ELECTRIC CHAIR POSITION… BEFORE DROPPING HIM OUTSIDE THE RING AND THROUGH THE FUCKING TABLE!

    “ECDUBBYA”

    “ECDUBBYA”

    “ECDUBBYA”

Deafening is the only way to describe the noise in the arena right now, as the fans chants are mixed with Francine’s screams of panic. Credible isn’t moving, but Kash, still feeling the effects of his beating throughout the match, takes an eternity to capitalise. Finally Kash rolls outside the ring, before rolling Credible’s dead weight back in… AND MAKING THE PIN TO BECOME WORLD CHAMPION…1…2…3!

NO! CREDIBLE JUST ROLLS A SHOULDER OFF THE MAT!

This time not even Kash can believe it, showing emotion for the first time this match. The champion is still down on the mat, however he’s instinctively clutching at his neck, as the table spot seems to have aggravated the injury. Kash notices this, and in a not very ECW move, he forgets about hardcore, and he forgets about his signature moves. Instead the challenger goes to town, continuously picking Credible up… NAILING NECKBREAKER AFTER NECKBREAKER… WITH THE CROWD CHEERING ALONG… UNTIL HE HITS THE FIFTH NECKBREAKER! KK WITH THE COVER AGAIN…1…2…3NO! CREDIBLE SHOWS HE’S A RESILIENT CHAMPION!

Kash gets up pretty quickly now, well and truly on his second wind, and he lets the fans know that this one is about to be over. Kash brings Credible up, AND GETS HIM IN POSITION FOR THE MONEY MAKER… WHEN RHINO RUSHES IN FROM NOWHERE, BOUNCING OFF THE ROPES… AND TAKING KASH’S HEAD OFF WITH A CLOTHESLINE!

THE CROWD ARE IN SHOCK, BOOING THE HELL OUT OF WHAT’S HAPPENING! THE REFEREE ATTEMPTS TO ADMONISH RHINO… AND HE GORES HIM… DAMN NEAR BREAKING HIM IN HALF!

    No Contest @ 13:41

With the referee being taken out by Rhino, it’s quite obvious that this championship match is unfortunately ending in a no contest.

The fans are booing the hell out of Rhino, as he lets out a mental like scream, before he begins helping Justin Credible to his feet.

Francine is speechless on the outside, frozen on the spot, not wanting to get to close to that lunatic Rhino.

Credible barely acknowledged Rhino, shrugging him off, before picking up the Singapore Cane.

CREDIBLE THEN WALKS OVER TO KASH… AND REPEATEDLY WHALES ON HIM WITH THE SINGAPORE CANE… AS THE CROWD SADISTICLY COUNT THE TEN CANE SHOTS!

Francine leans through the ropes on the outside and hands Credible his ECW Championship, which seems to calm him down a little.

The fans heat begins to turn into a mixed reaction now… AS CREDIBLE AND RHINO NOW GO NOSE TO NOSE!

The ECW Champion admirably shows no fear of ‘The Big F’n Deal’, yet before they can come to blows… STEVE CORINO AND SCOTTY ANTON RUN DOWN THE RAMP… AND SLIDE INTO THE RING!

As usual with an increased presence of members of The Network, the heat continues to get louder and louder….

Anton and Corino separate the two, trying their best to contain the anger of Rhino.

Corino then turns his attention towards Credible…

“YOU CAN THANK THE NETWORK A THIRD TIME”!

Credible doesn’t really react too much, and a frustrated Corino yells…

    “USE YOUR HEAD”!

Whilst Anton still keeps a wary eye on the pacing Rhino, Corino extends his hand…

The crowd BEG Credible to say no, knowing that a handshake would mean Credible is joining The Network…

Credible seems to be thinking things over, not making a proper decision… AND HE DOESN’T GET A CHANCE TO… AS ROB VAN DAM SLIDES INTO THE RING!

VAN DAM IMMEDIATELY DUCKS AN ANTON PUNCH… AND KNOCKS HIM OUT OF THE RING WITH A HIGH HEEL KICK!

STEVE CORINO THEN CHARGES AT VAN DAM… BUT RVD CATCHES HIS KICK… AND LANDS A STEP OVER SPINNING HEEL KICK!

VAN DAM QUICKLY PICKS UP THE SINGAPORE CANE… AND RHINO CHARGES AT HIM WITH THE GORE… ONLY FOR RVD TO BREAK THE CANE OVER RHINO’S HEAD!

The fans are going banana as all the heels bar Justin Credible have cleared the ring…

Credible is yet to pledge his allegiance to either side, which leads RVD to give him a look as if to say what do you want to do…

JUSTIN CHARGES AT VAN DAM… LOOKING FOR A TITLE SHOT! VAN DAM DUCKS… AND LANDS A VAN DAMINATOR WITH THE TITLE BELT TO CREDIBLE!

Credible now joins the heels on the outside, regrouping…

WHEN RVD LEAPS THROUGH THE ROPES WITH A SUICIDE DIVE… TAKING ALL OF THE MEN OUTSIDE THE RING OUT!

With all the men down on the outside…

Kid Kash still down on the inside…

    “ECDUBBYA”

    “ECDUBBYA”

    “ECDUBBYA”

And with those famous chants echoing through the building…

    The arena in complete pandemonium…

    Chaos is sure to continue…

As the show fades to black…

Re: Extreme Championship Wrestling by Stojy

I'm a newcomer to the boards here but I must admit this is definitely one of my favourite BTB's i've stumbled across so far. I'm a sucker for old school early 2000's wrestling and you've captured the character of ECW here really well. The format is great, references to the crowds reaction really help to build the atmosphere, you've captured the wrestlers personalities really well and the promos are well written but at the same time aren't overbearing.

    Couple of comments after catching up with your last few shows;

    • Really enjoying the storyline surrounding Justin Credible. I'd consider him a bit of a 'tweener' at the moment as he continues to win his matches cheaply (not necessarily on his orders) but also is seemingly refusing to give in to temptation to join forces with The Network. The 'will-he won't he' back and forth has got me really intrigued and i'm interested to see where you go with it. I'm hoping for a PPV showdown between Credible and Corino for the belt with some sort of typical Network/Corino 'no outside interference' rule enforced.
    • I'm also a huge fan of Jerry Lynn though and i'd love to see him continue to be in the title picture, potentially snatching the belt from both Credible and The Network whilst they're too busy concentrating on each other. Three-way dance at the PPV perhaps?
    • I'm liking the attention you're giving to wrestlers such as Kid Kash and CW Anderson, both of whom I felt had bags of potential but neither quite hit the heights that they could have achieved.
    • The Tag Team Title tournament is beginning to shape up nicely, you've got a strong group of teams at your disposal so i'm expecting some exciting matches. Kash and RVD have to be early front runners to capture the belts HOWEVER i've got a feeling the Network are going to have their say at some point as the tournament progresses.

Keep up the good work! I'll most definitely be keeping tabs on this one!

    ECW Thoughts

I really enjoyed the start to this show with Justin Credible coming off as the cocky tweener. Corino came out and tore him down a little though and I liked the shout outs to things like Aldo Montoya and Lance Storm. I was hoping that Corino and Credible would come to blows but Jerry Lynn sidetracked both men and I loved that he looked on top in this segment. I'm unsure on whether I want Credible to lose the title to Lynn so that Lynn/Corino is a title feud or whether Corino should cost Lynn due to The Network's detest of Lynn being successful, which in turn makes the feud between Corino/Lynn not need a title to be important. The latter is the more logical route however I'm easy either way.

The Doring/Roadkill squash was not that impacting but I loved this match being used to announce Dreamer/Lynn versus Kid/Van Dam. I'm going to go on a limb and say RVD/KID win this one, mostly because I see Lynn and Dreamer having bigger fish to fry. Van Dam and Lynn reacquainting themselves is brilliant.

The Unholy Alliance are one of my fave parts of your work. Tajiri was hilarious in this segment and I'm a bit surprised that it was censored, despite how TNN is, whilst the next segment, which is near enough the same kind of thing isn't. I hope Tajiri and Whipwreck win the tag tournament. Bunch of crazy bastards!!!

CW Anderson takes Jazz to the cleaners. Dreamer with the 'late, late' save and Anderson/Dreamer should be a great match for next week's show.

A good contest between Credible and Kash in the main event. I really like that nobody who is a somebody on the roster is a jobber in this ECW. Everyone from Tajiri to Kash can go with the likes of Credible, Van Dam and Dreamer. Makes for a very unpredictable show. I'm not sure whether Credible will join up with The Network but I would love something like an 8 Man Elimination match between The Network and the foursome of Lynn, RVD, Kash and Dreamer. That would be an epic pinnacle to this Network storyline.

The work and progression is great as always Stojy, keep up the great work and I'll try to keep up with my feedback.

Re: Extreme Championship Wrestling by Stojy

Sykotic, the idea of Tajiri's mist getting censored but Anderson's attack on Jazz not, wasn't so much an oversight and a "oh my god, one was so worse than the other, it's bad for television." Considering the whole Network vs. ECW feud, it was just a cheap way to get heat. The mist would have been a massive pop moment so it got censored, and people would have hated the dick Anderson beating up Jazz, so of course, because The Network are assholes, it didn't get censored.

Or at least that's what it was supposed to come across as. Thanks again for the feedback.

    ECW Hardcore TV Preview

    08-12-2000

This week ECW Hardcore TV comes from Huntington, West Virginia, and what a main event we have in store for the Huntington fans. Ever since Rhino captured the ECW Television Championship he has defeated all challengers in a brutal, sometimes easy looking fashion. ‘The Big F’n Deal’ has proven to be exactly that, however there’s always been that one question over Rhino’s title reign. Is he the true champion? The former champion Rob Van Dam never lost the ECW Television Championship; he was forced to relinquish the gold due to injury. Everybody knows and for those who don’t Bill Alfonso will let them know that RVD is one of the best performers Extreme Championship Wrestling has ever seen. Since returning Van Dam has made it clear that he wants an opportunity to recapture the title he never lost. Both men have shown plenty of animosity over the past couple of weeks with it all coming to a head during the chaotic end to last night’s ECW on TNN. After Rhino interfered in Justin Credible’s ECW Championship defence against Kid Kash, Rob Van Dam came out to save Kash from a beating courtesy of The Network and Credible. Van Dam was able to snap a Singapore Cane over Rhino’s head and then land a Suicide Dive on Rhino and his Network stable mates to end last night’s show. With Rhino fuming following the incident and voicing his frustration over being questioned about whether he can beat Van Dam recently, rumours are running rapid that both men are close to agreeing to a one on one title match. Before the dream match of sorts can occur, Rhino has to get past his title defence tonight when he defends against Mikey Whipwreck. Mikey has only just joined forces with Yoshihiro Tajiri and the two look to go far in the ECW Tag Team Championship Tournament, but every wrestler wants to wear singles gold. If Mikey can win the title tonight and The Unholy Alliance goes on to capture the tag titles, they’ll fast become the most powerful team in wrestling. Mikey’s known for his resilience and he’ll need to dig deep tonight to have a chance of beating a frustrated, furious Rhino.

A major development in ECW over the past month has been the numerous teams who have tried to qualify for the ECW Tag Team Championship Tournament beginning on August twenty fifth and sixth. Currently all positions in tournament bar one are up for grabs, however we’ll know who the final team in the running for the gold is by the end of the night. Bilvis Wesley and Tom Marquez will go up against EZ Money and Julio Dinero and the winners will be in the tournament. Speaking of the tag title tournament, two teams who have already qualified will be looking to garner a victory and begin to carry some momentum into the tournament. The unique team of Chilly Willy and The Sandman will team together for the first time ever to take on Little Guido and Tony Mamaluke of The Full Blooded Italians. The Sandman has Chilly Willy as a partner as punishment from The Network after The Sandman saved Chilly from an assault from Rhino after Rhino had already won the match. The Sandman is up against it and everybody knows it, and The FBI will have strength in numbers as per usual. Can Chilly Willy and The Sandman pull out an upset or will The FBI set themselves up for a run to the finals of the ECW Tag Team Championship tournament?

    Confirmed Matches:

    ECW Television Championship Match

    Rhino defends against Mikey Whipwreck

ECW Tag Team Championship Tournament Qualifying Match

Bilvis Wesley and Tom Marquez w/Elektra vs. EZ Money and Julio Dinero w/Chris Hamrick

Chilly Willy and The Sandman vs. The Full Blooded Italians

Really fun part of your thread the tag team tournament . Liked how you advanced things. Small negative is that with this CW Anderson push and Rhyno booked strong, i don't see any midcard singles heel

Re: Extreme Championship Wrestling by Stojy

Thanks for the comments, Pitbull. Rhino holds the mid card TV title which I'm trying to give more prestige by pushing him. Eventually the mid card scene will work itself out. I'll also look to comment on your new thread sometime soon, just been incredibly busy this week.

Hardcore TV is still kinda’ the B show which may be a bit frustrating to read, but it HAS TO stick around for future storyline plans.

Plus this show gives even more hype to the tag team tournament as well as a solid main event.

    Enjoy.

For the first time in this threads history the show opens up with a video package recapping the starting events of last night’s ECW on TNN. Lou E. Dangerously made his way to the ring to an UNGODLY amount of heat, insults and garbage being thrown at him. Dangerously introduces the ECW Champion Justin Credible to the ring and continues to do The Network’s bidding, trying to convince the ECW Champion to join them. Credible didn’t say yes or no, but stated that he won’t fix all of The Network’s problems and that he works better on his own. The Network’s Steve Corino disagreed, making his way to the ring and saying Credible constantly used others to get to the top and he’s never done anything on his own. The ECW Champion didn’t enjoy Corino’s opinion and the two looked set to fight it out, when the number one contender to the ECW Championship Jerry Lynn made his presence felt. Lynn was beating down Corino until Lou E. managed to help Corino escape, and then Credible came from behind with the title. Lynn ducked Credible’s cheap shot, and dropped him with the Cradle Piledriver before raising the ECW Championship, that could soon be his, above his head.

    ***

No commentary, no Joey Styles, let’s get straight to business tonight as once the video ends the fans are rabid as usual, chanting “ECDUBBYA”, “ECDUBBYA”, “ECDUBBYA”! As the fans continue to create an atmosphere that no other fans in ANY sport can, “Breathe And Stop” by Q Tip plays and the fans just continue to cheer like crazy as Chilly Willy steps through the curtain. Chilly really plays up to the crowd as well, enjoying the LOUDEST ovation of his life, mainly due to just who is tag partner is. “Enter Sandman” by Metallica is next to rock through the arena and the ROOF ALMOST BLOWS OFF as The Sandman begins making his way down from the rafters. The Sandman armed with his usual Singapore Cane and can of beer stops… AND SMASHES THE CAN OF BEER OVER HIS FOREHEAD! He doesn’t bust himself open tonight but it doesn’t matter as he gets into the ring, and raises the Singapore Cane over his head. As the “SANDMAN”, SANDMAN” chants echo throughout the arena, The Sandman and Chilly Willy share a somewhat uncomfortable nod knowing they’re only teaming up because The Network is forcing them to. The uncomfortable situation is interrupted as “No Sleep Till Brooklyn” by The Beastie Boys plays and the crowd turn RABID with heat for the first time tonight as The Full Blooded Italians, Little Guido and Tony Mamaluke accompanied by Sal E. Graziano. As usual the Italian trio give the insults right back to the fans which makes them even more hated, however once they get close to the ring, the arrogance seems to disappear, knowing they are in for a tough match tonight.

    Match One
Chilly Willy and The Sandman vs. The FBI w/Sal E. Graziano

As the bell rings the referee implores each team to get one man out of the ring. The FBI doesn’t even think about following the rules, whilst Sandman and Chilly Willy have a discussion over who’s going to start the match. The Sandman shakes his head, looking rather shocked as Chilly tries to convince Sandman that he should start the match. Whilst this is happening… BIG SAL DRAGS HIMSELF UP ONTO THE APRON… AND THE SANDMAN CHARGES AT HIM… AND SNAPS THE SINGAPORE CANE ACROSS HIS FOREHEAD!

“ECDUBBYA”, “ECDUBBYA”, “ECDUBBYA” chants come hard and fast as Little Guido points Mamaluke in direction of The Sandman… AND TONY MAMALUKE CHARGES AT SANDMAN, THROWING HIM OVER THE TOP ROPE!

The fans aren’t happy as Guido gets a shit eating grin on his face, and the two Italians begin pummelling Chilly Willy. The Sandman looks frustrated on the outside but realises he can’t do anything but stand on the apron, and the bloody Graziano is back up as well. Meanwhile inside the ring for the next several minutes it’s an absolute massacre, double teams, big moves, Sal interference are all factors in The FBI’s domination, but Chilly Willy continues to get out at the count of 2.

Guido is beginning to get really frustrated as he tags in Mamaluke and yells for his protégé to “FINISH ‘IM”! Mamaluke looks set to do so, dusting his hands together as if to say it’s all over, yet when he is bringing Chilly to his feet, Chilly shrugs him off… AND NAILS THE CHILLY DRIVER OUT OF NOWHERE!

The fans pop is quickly replaced by “SANDMAN”, “SANDMAN”, “SANDMAN” chants from the crowd, and the audience ERUPTS once the tag is made. The Sandman immediately charges at the dazed Mamaluke, hammering away with right hands backing him into the corner. Little Guido senses trouble AND SPRINTS INSIDE THE RING… ONLY TO GET TAKEN DOWN WITH A FLAPJACK!

Guido rolls out of the ring clutching his throat to recover, whilst The Sandman lets out a roar to the approval of the crowd. Sandy then charges at Mamaluke taking him down with a Bulldog. He knows there’s quite a good chance to finish things here, as Sandman heads to the top rope. Mamaluke is slowly working his way to one knee… WHEN THE SANDMAN DIVES OFF THE TOP ROPE AND THE LANDS THE BITCHIN’ LEG DROP TO THE BACK OF MAMALUKE’S NECK. THE SANDMAN HOOKS THE LEG…1…2…LITTLE GUIDO DRAGS SANDMAN OFF OF MAMALUKE!

Groans from the audience and their disappointment suits the look on The Sandman’s face. The look quickly turns to fury as he begs Guido to come inside the ring… BUT AS THIS IS HAPPENING BIG SAL IS SLIDING BACK INTO THE RING WITH ANOTHER SINGAPORE CANE THAT HE FOUND FROM UNDER THE RING! SAL CHARGES AT THE SANDMAN WHO LAST SECOND TURNS AND PUNCHES SAL IN THE GUT!

Sal immediately drops the Cane and clutches his stomach which allows The Sandman to pick up the Singapore Cane… AND USE IT TO TAKE OUT SAL WITH A WHITE RUSSIAN LEG SWEEP! The Sandman gets up and SPITS on Sal before kicking him out of the ring.

The “ECDUBBYA” chants are interrupted though as Little Guido comes from behind… AND KICKS SANDMAN BETWEEN THE LEGS WITH A LOW BLOW! Guido then holds Sandman and tells Mamaluke to head up to the top rope. The Sandman is in agony after the cheap shot to the balls…AS MAMALUKE COMES OFF THE TOP ROPE WITH A DROPKICK… BUT CHILLY WILLY PULLS THE SANDMAN OUT OF GUIDO’S GRIP LAST MINUTE… AND MAMALUKE TAKES OUT GUIDO WITH THE DROPKICK!

The Sandman quickly picks up the Singapore Cane, SMASHES IT OVER THE HEAD OF MAMALUKE… HOLDS HIM UP… AND TAKES HIM DOWN WITH A WHITE RUSSIAN LEG SWEEP! THE SANDMAN MAKES THE COVER…1…2…3!

Winners – Chilly Willy and The Sandman @ 7:31

The fans mark the fuck out once again as The Sandman and Chilly Willy get their hands raised by the referee. Both men continue to be polar opposites, Chilly with a smile on his face and The Sandman looking hungry for more violence as he picks up his Singapore Cane. Joey Styles puts over the fact that Chilly Willy is a partner out of punishment for The Sandman and now they actually look like they could go far in the ECW Tag Team Championship Tournament. The Sandman shares a respectful nod with Chilly before the two go their separate ways…

We then head to the ‘interview area’ however this is ECW so there’s no interviewer here; it’s just The Unholy Alliance. The Sinister Minister stands by looking as sadistically pleased as ever, whilst Mikey Whipwreck and Yoshihiro Tajri stand on either side of their mentor, preparing to hang off every single motivational word as per usual.

The Sinister Minister: Y’know, it’s funny… Back in the old, glory days New York used to be a pleasure land.

TSM pauses knowingly, as he’s two competitors remains unmoved.

The Sinister Minister: There was plenty of adrenaline pumping gambling, oh so satisfying prostitution, the most incredible street hustlers you would ever see, and my personal favourite, sexual perversion. All these wonderful hobbies were all over New York City until a dirty, slimy; SERPENT came into MY personal Garden of Eden… And that serpent is none other than Rudy Guliani!

Tajiri doesn’t really seem to know what’s going on, but Mikey nods in agreement with the sinister one.

The Sinister Minister: Guliani, that SCUMBAG, came into power like it was the second coming but let me make one thing completely clear. The only second… Cumming in the Guliani household is when Rudy falls to sleep and his wife rolls over, opens her bedside drawer, and pulls out her twelve inch special toy!

The Sinister Minister lets out a devious grin as HUGE POPS echo throughout the arena as they watch the taped promo. Whipwreck looks pretty impressed with his leaders words as well, however Tajiri looks pretty confused, bloody foreigner.

    Mikey Whipwreck: Do you understand?

    Tajiri shakes his head clueless.

Mikey Whipwreck: Girls… hot girls… In those dirty magazines… with the…

Mikey motions as if he’s a girl playing with himself. Tajiri’s eyes open wide and he nods, smiles and giggles, seemingly now understanding the joke.

The Sinister Minister: It’s okay though because I’m going to return New York City to its former glory. I plan on this beginning at the HAMMERSTEIN BALLROOM when The Unholy Alliance captures the ECW World Tag Team Championships. The only thing that could possibly make it any sweeter will be when we get our hands on The FBI in the process.

TSM nods again looking a little more serious now, whilst a clearly fired up Tajiri yells in incoherent Japanese. Nobody’s sure what he’s saying as TSM and Mikey look confused, but one thing that’s not to be confused about is ‘The Japanese Buzzsaw’s’ clear hatred for The FBI.

Mikey Whipwreck: Haha, THAT’S MY FAVOURITE JOKE!

    The Sinister Minister: BINGO!

The trio laugh along evilly seemingly confident about their chances of becoming the ECW World Tag Team Champions in just less than two weeks time…

We then head to another are in the back, where ‘The Voice of ECW’ Joey Styles is dressed in a nice suit as per normal.

Joey Styles: Ladies and gentleman, boys and girls, there’s only ONE spot remaining in the tournament for the most prestigious tag team championships in the sport of wrestling, the ECW World Tag Team Championships. It’s Bilvis Wesley and Tom Marquez up against EZ Money and Julio Dinero… and it’s NEXT!

After Joey’s hype job we head to our first commercial break of the evening.

    -COMMERCIAL BREAK-

We return to the usual “ECDUBBYA”, “ECDUBBYA”, “ECDUBBYA” chants filling the arena, until “Sad But True” by Metallica is heard as Bilvis Wesley and Tom Marquez step through the curtain, closely followed by the fit as always Elektra. There isn’t much of an ovation as the three walk down the ramp, however there’s the odd wolf whistler for Elektra from the male fans. The crowds interest picks up a little more as “For The Love Of Money/Down On Me Remix by The Ojay’s and Jackyl hits and boos ring out as EZ Money and Julio Dinero strut through the curtain, along with Chris Hamrick. The three look mighty confident making money gestures with their hands and title gestures too, as the fans continue to show their displeasure.

    Match Two
Winners Get A Spot In ECW Tag Team Championship Tournament
Bilvis Wesley and Tom Marquez w/Elektra vs. EZ Money and Julio Dinero w/Chris Hamrick

The match is quick and relatively high impact but if I’m being honest, this one was never going to tear the house down. As a matter of fact the match itself was pretty terrible so it’s not going to get much of a recap. The ending comes about when BILVIS LOOKS SET TO LAND THE TIME BOMB ON EZ MONEY… BUT ELEKTRA HITS WESLEY WITH A LOW BLOW OUT OF NOWHERE!

ELEKTRA HAS JUST TURNED ON WESLEY!

Before Marquez can react, CHRIS HAMRICK RIPS HIM OFF OF THE APRON AND RAMS HIM INTO THE CROWD BARRICADE!

Meanwhile inside the ring, Dinero AND Elektra help Money up… AND THEY LAND THE WASHING MACHINE DOUBLE TEAM ON WESLEY! DINERO HOOKS THE LEG…1…2…3!

Winners – EZ Money and Julio Dinero @ 3:39

After the match the ECW official raises the hands of the winners, as Hamrick gets into the ring to join in the celebration. The fans are giving them a smattering of heat… Until ELEKTRA WALKS UP TO HAMRICK… AND THE TWO BEGIN MAKING OUT!

Once they are done Hamrick has a huge grin on his face, as ELEKTRA WALKS UP TO EZ MONEY… AND BEGINS MAKING OUT WITH HIM AS WELL!

The ECW faithful are marking the fuck out now as Elektra breaks away from EZ whilst sexily wiping her mouth. Elektra then heads to Dinero, who looks as if he’s already on a chub… AND NOW ELEKTRA BEGINS SUCKING DINERO’S FACE OFF!

“ORGY”, “ORGY”, “ORGY” chants are mixed with chants of “SLUT”, “SLUT”, “SLUT” as all of a sudden the fans are interested in this angle. As the fans continue cheering and all four in the ring look pretty pleased with themselves, Hamrick grabs a microphone.

    Chris Hamrick: I’m Confederate Currency…

Boos as Hamrick now points at EZ Money.

Chris Hamrick: This man is E…Z… Money…

More heat as Hamrick now points at Julio.

Chris Hamrick: And this man… Is all about the dinero.

Smatterings of light heat again as the three males in the ring laugh it up arrogantly. Elektra then grabs the microphone, biting her lip provocatively, much to the delight of some of the males in the front row.

Elektra: People might ask why I decided to turn on Bilvis tonight, and it’s quite simple, I go where the money goes!

Elektra looks pretty pleased with herself, as her trio of guys nod their heads approvingly. The fans are not quite as impressed though.

Elektra: There’s one fact you need to know to be successful in this world…

The horny lady pauses, mulling over her next words carefully.

Elektra: Money is the hottest commodity!

More light heat from the fans as Elektra now hands the microphone over to EZ Money. All four inside the ring continue to look pretty pleased with themselves.

EZ Money: It’s funny you say that, Elektra because it’s obvious to anybody, even these IDIOTS that the four of us together are money…

Well, they wanted heat, they got it. “FUCK YOU”, “FUCK YOU”, “FUCK YOU” is thrown at EZ Money who laps it up. The others seem to be having just as much fun as well.

EZ Money: And in ECW… We are THE HOT COMMODITY!

EZ drops the microphone to the canvas as the four of them continue to celebrate, with Hamrick even giving Elektra a slap on her sensational ass. The four eventually head to the back, still getting insulted from the crowd...

A video now plays for everybody to see, showing highlights of last night’s ECW on TNN’s main event which saw the ECW Champion Justin Credible defend his title against Kid Kash in a show stealing match. The early stages of the match show the hungry challenger Kash absolutely dominating, however every time he looks set to land a killer blow, Francine interferes and keeps Credible in the match. We then see Credible land a Singapore Cane assisted Russian Leg Sweep but Kash is able to get a shoulder up. Next up Francine’s interference backfires as she sets up a table on the outside, but Kash ends up getting Credible in the Electric Chair position, and throws him outside the ring and through the table. After the spot of the match Kash slowly gets Credible back into the ring but Credible shows he can be resilient without Francine by getting a shoulder up before the count of three. Kash then looks set to go for the Money Maker but Rhino interferes, first taking Kash down with a Clothesline and then nearly murdering the referee with a Gore. After the contest all hell breaks loose as Rhino and Credible attack Kash, before almost fighting each other, until Steve Corino and Scotty Anton of The Network separate the two. Before Credible can shake hands with The Network, Rob Van Dam sprints down the ring and cleans house, ending the show in absolute pandemonium.

With the highlights now out of the way, we get flashes of some of the highlights again, before we hear a voiceover from ECW’s favourite play by play man.

Joey Styles: After the events of last night’s ECW on TNN, Extreme Championship Wrestling is PROUD to announce next week’s DOUBLE main event on TNN. Fresh off the no contest finish to last night’s main event, Justin Credible will ONCE AGAIN defend the ECW Championship against Kid Kash, and Rob Van Dam will FINALLY get the shot at the ECW Television Title that he NEVER LOST, when he goes one on one with the all conquering champion Rhino!

    -COMMERCIAL BREAK-

As soon as we return, “Bombtrack” by Rage Against The Machine hits to an EPICLY loud pop as Mikey Whipwreck jumps through the curtain, with The Sinister Minister not too far behind. Once they get half way down the ramp, Mikey stops and asks points for TSM to head to the back, saying “I GOTTA’ DO THIS ON MY OWN”! The fans seem a little shocked but TSM does as he’s told and Mikey continues to enjoy one of the loudest ovations he’s received in ages. The mood in the arena quickly reverses as “Debonaire” by Dope plays, quickly bringing out the ECW Television Champion, ‘The Big Fuckin’ Deal’ Rhino. The champion lets out a roar of intensity, quickly walking down the ramp, ignoring the barrage of heat from the fans. Rhino is quick to get inside the ring and immediately go face to face with his challenger, trying to intimidate Mikey.

    Match Three
    ECW Television Championship Match
    Rhino defends against Mikey Whipwreck

The match begins with Mikey taking a deep breath, shaking his arms out trying to get the blood pumping, whilst Rhino stands in the middle of the ring, sneering at his much smaller opponent. Surprisingly Mikey locks up with Rhino quickly transitioning into a Headlock, only for ‘The Big F’n Deal’ to show his brute strength, LIFTING MIKEY UP ABOVE HIS HEAD WHILST MIKEY HOLDS ONTO THE HEADLOCK... AND RHINO THROWS MIKEY ACROSS THE RING!

Unbelievably MIKEY LANDS ON HIS FEET! The fans are in shock and awe a little early as Mikey charges at Rhino again, hammering away with straight punches, only to be cut off by a knee to the mid section from the ECW Television Champion. With Mikey struggling for air Rhino raises him above his head in a Military Press position... But instead of dropping him, he keeps him above his head with a sadistic snarl on his face.

Rhino heads towards the ring ropes... LOOKING TO THROW MIKEY OVER THE TOP ROPE AND TO THE FLOOR... BUT MIKEY HOLDS ONTO THE TOP ROPE! Rhino’s grips strong as an ox but even he’s forced to let go when Whipwreck rakes the eyes. Mikey uses the ropes to land on the ring apron... WHEN RHINO CHARGES AT HIM... LOOKING FOR A MODIFIED GORE THROUGH THE ROPES... BUT MIKEY IS QUICK TO LEAP OFF THE APRON... JUST AVOIDING CONTACT!

...BUT RHYNO DOESN’T STOP AND HE LEAPS THROUGH THE ROPES TAKING OUT WHIPWRECK WITH A SUICIDE DIVE!

As much as the fans probably don’t want to admit it, Rhino is epic. The “ECDUBBYA”, “ECDUBBYA”, “ECDUBBYA” chants ring out as per usual as a hungry for violence Rhino grabs Mikey by the scruff of the neck and sends him back inside the ring. Once inside the ring the champion keeps it simple, hammering away on Mikey, beating him with clubbing blows by hand and ferocious kicks by foot. Mikey looks a little out of his league at this point as Rhino has stiffed to the point where blood is leaking from the lip of Whipwreck.

Rhino at one stage stands back in the centre of the ring and motions for Mikey to “FUCKIN’ BRING IT” but all he can do is collapse to the canvas. Sensing a chance to lay one final blow... RHINO GRABS MIKEY... AND JUST LIKE THAT BRINGS HIM UP AND DOWN WITH A HUGE POWERBOMB! RHINO HOOKS THE LEG...1...2...MIKEY GETS A SHOULDER UP!

Most would be disappointed at the resilience of their opponent, but not ‘The Big Fuckin’ Deal’ as he seems pleased at having the opportunity to inflict more punishment. Rhino continues to beat down Mikey before bringing him back up... AND NAILING A BACKBREAKER... BUT HE KEEPS MIKEY IN HIS ARMS... PUTS HIM OVER A SHOULDER AND DRIVES HIM DOWN WITH A POWERSLAM! Rhino goes for another cover...1...2...MIKEY GETS OUT AGAIN!

Rhino shakes his head looking down at Mikey with nothing but resentment, however the mood picks up from the crowd as THE SINISTER MINISTER IS WALKING DOWN THE RAMP... AND WITH HIM IS A TROLLEY FULL OF WEAPONS!

“ECDUBBYA”, “ECDUBBYA”, “ECDUBBYA” chants ring out as Rhino is distracted by the appearance of TSM. Rhino furiously yells “STAY THE FUCK OUT OF IT OTHERWISE YOU’LL BE THE DEAD MINISTER”! TSM does his best to hide his fear, but the distraction allows Mikey to land a LOW BLOW OUT OF NOWHERE TO RHINO!

With Rhino clutching his private parts, Mikey digs deep and heads to the top rope... BEFORE LEAPING ONTO RHINO’S SHOULDERS AND NAILING THE FRANKEN MIKEY... Whipwreck takes a moment or two to recover before draping an arm over the chest of Rhino...1...2...RHINO KICKS OUT WITH AUTHORITY!

Mikey realises he needs to strike whilst the irons hot as he reaches through the ropes AND THE SINISTER MINISTER HANDS HIM A STEEL CHAIR! MIKEY BEGINS WHALING AWAY ON RHINO WITH THE STEEL CHAIR... 1 BODY SHOT, 2 BODY SHOTS, 3 BODY SHOTS... 7 BODY SHOTS...

But everybody in the arena is in disbelief as Rhino is immediately to one knee... and looks about to get up... WHEN MIKEY CREAMS HIM WITH A STEEL CHAIR SHOT RIGHT TO THE FACE! MIKEY HOOKS THE LEG...1...2...NO! RHINO MANAGES TO GET A SHOULDER UP AGAIN!

“MIKEY”, “MIKEY”, “MIKEY” is all that can be heard as everybody can sense an upset. The underdog challenger picks up the steel chair; however it’s not broken and can no longer be used. Mikey bravely wipes some blood from his chin... before NOW BEING GIVEN A CRUTCH BYTHE SINISTER MINISTER!

Whipwreck gets the crutch and heads to the top rope, perched, waiting for Rhino to get up... and when he does... WHIPWRECK LEAPS OFF THE TOP, USING THE CRUTCH TO CLOTHESLINE RHINO RIGHT ACROSS THE THROAT! MIKEY GOES FOR THE PIN AGAIN...1...2...RHINO KICKS OUT!

All of a sudden the crowd don’t know how to react as on the canvas Rhino lets out a primal roar. The TV Champ then looks to get back to his feet pretty quickly, almost as if he’s pushed himself to the point where he can feel no pain. Mikey is up for the challenge though, heading to the top rope again... ONLY TO COME OFF WITH A DIVING CROSSBODY... HE NAILS IT... AND GOES FOR THE PIN... BUT BEFORE THE REFEREE CAN COUNT TO 1, RHINO SHOVES HIM AWAY!

Incredibly both men get up to their feet at the same time, and in a tremendous display of quickness... RHINO NEARLY BREAKS WHIPWRECK IN HALF WITH THE GORE!

Rather than go for the cover Rhino wants to go for the kill, as he heads outside the ring and under the apron, pulling out a WOODEN TABLE! The champion slides the table inside the ring, quickly following, and he sets the table up against the turnbuckles... Rhino now waits... as everybody knows what’s coming... and when Mikey gets up... RHINO GORES HIM THROUGH THE FUCKING TABLE!

“ECDUBBYA”, “ECDUBBYA”, “ECDUBBYA” echoes through the arena once again, as the relentless Rhino is straight back up. Rhino brings the nearly dead Whipwreck to his feet... AND SIMPLY PLANTS HIM WITH A PILEDRIVER BEFORE MAKING A RELAXED COVER...1...2...3!

Winner – Rhino retains the ECW Television Championship @ 11:40

The fans boo Rhino as he scares the shit out of the referee and grabs his ECW Television Championship. Rhino raises it above his head, yelling “I’M THE BIG FUCKIN’ DEAL! ROB VAN DAM... THIS IS YOUR FUTURE” before pointing down at the motionless Whipwreck.

Once Rhino has left the ring, The Sinister Minister gets in the ring and begins checking on Mikey. Mikey gave it his all and actually rocked Rhino thanks to the help of TSM, but at the end of the day, Rhino was just too big, too strong and to good.

    ...

We then cut to the back and for the second time tonight we see Joey Styles looking professional, ready to hype the shit out of something.

Joey Styles: Ladies and gentleman, boys and girls, the ECW Tag Team Championships are only held by the GREATEST tag teams in all of professional wrestling. There are twelve teams in total but only one team will once again be able to call themselves the tag team that’s better than everybody else. After EZ Money and Julio Dinero’s questionable victory tonight, I’m proud and EXCITED to announce the official brackets for the ECW Tag Team Championship Tournament that will begin at the HAMMERSTEIN BALLROOM on August twenty fifth and twenty sixth:

“Christian York and Joey Matthews vs. EZ Money and Julio Dinero

The FBI vs. The Unholy Alliance

Jerry Lynn and Tommy Dreamer vs. Kid Kash and Rob Van Dam

Chilly Willy and The Sandman vs. Justin Credible and Rhino

Chris Chetti and Nova vs. Team Me

Da Baldies vs. Danny Doring and Roadkill

Joey pauses letting the tournament sink in...

Joey Styles: And just announced the love triangle of sorts for the ECW Championship between the champion Justin Credible, the rightful number one contender Jerry Lynn and The Network will continue. It’ll continue in an EXTREME way on August twenty sixth when Justin Credible defends the ECW Championship against both Jerry Lynn AND Steve Corino in a THREE WAY DANCE!

“OH MY GAWWWWWWWWD.... What a few weeks we have coming up in the land of extreme...

    Goodnight everybody”.

The show quickly cuts back to the arena to see the fans going ape shit at Joey Styles’ announcement. “ECDUBBYA”, “ECDUBBYA”, “ECDUBBYA” is all that can be heard...

The fans at an absolute fever pitch...

    As we fade to black...

Re: Extreme Championship Wrestling by Stojy

Been a good few shows since I last commented, but I've been reading, so a few thoughts here.

I'm liking the build up of the tag team tournament. I have to wonder what the plan will be. I can see The Network's hands on the first round already, trying to pit Lynn/Dreamer against Kash/RVD. For some reason, I have a feeling Sandman/Willy are going to make the finals, their match was interesting and them being a bit of a misfit team just seems to make sense for them to come together over the course of the tournament. Likewise, I see dissent between Credible and Rhino, and think they'll make it by and it'll lead to maybe a title vs title match or something.

I really enjoy the FBI's involvement in anything. Guido is a good leader and they feel like they come out of nowhere. The Unholy Alliance is going to be a fun one in the tournament. Honestly, that's probably the first round match I'm most excited for, despite really liking every one, this one has a good story to it. Also, A FLAMING BAT?! Jesus, Mikey. Chill, dude.

Speaking of The Unholy Alliance, TSM's sermons have been fantastic to read. He's a compelling character and you write him well.

So far, Credible has been one of the most entertaining parts of the BTB for me, which is fitting for the world champion. Seeing him refusing The Network and kind of leaning toward face one second to heel the next is just great, and I like this build to Credible/Kash constantly.

The other most entertaining part has been Rhino, easily. He's been incredible, and absolutely is the "man-beast." I'm looking forward to seeing him against RVD, and I have a feeling we'll see him against Credible sometime and it's going to be magnificent. I'm very excited for those two's stories.

The Network can be infuriating, and I think it makes them a perfect heel group and I'm really looking forward to seeing where things are going to go on this story with how everyone hates them. I wonder who else will be challenging them over time.

I'm intrigued to see what will happen with CW Anderson, and get that build for the midcard, but I do understand wanting to elevate that midcard title first. Whoever eventually takes the TV Title from Rhino is going to be getting a massive boost and right now, I honestly can't see anyone beating Rhino outside the top guys so obviously elevating him and the title is going well.

Some things I could think to work on, I was a little confused about Elektra being like kidnapped by The Unholy Alliance and then not mentioning it this week. I'm curious if that'll come into play during the tag title tournament now that she's aligned with EZ Money and Julio Dinero. I hope to see a few more angles to kind of reveal characters or build up the midcard a bit more, as most of it, fittingly and expectedly, is focused on just the same handful of feuds. I like the feuds you're building, and I understand having time constraints and all, but I feel like I haven't seen a good few parts of the tag tournament or any midcards just making a little promo to get their name involved. I'd just like a little differences here and there to get things started on something, or give time to some new guys and see what they've got.

Overall, I'm loving the BTB. It's my favorite in the section currently. I like the stories you're telling, I love a lot of the performers. I'm looking forward to seeing the way things work out. I hope to see more from the midcard, but I understand that's a slower build so I'm good waiting for a bit while everything slowly gets there. Credible, Rhino, FBI, Kash and the Unholy Alliance are absolutely fantastic, so keeep it up as you're making this very, very fun to read constantly.

Re: Extreme Championship Wrestling by Stojy

Thanks so much for the feedback Jaywhy, I'm a bit busy this week but I'll be looking at leaving some comments on your thread sometime this week.

As for the mid card comments, I'm really not investing to much into the mid card, although a fair few mid carders are currently intertwined in the main event scene/tag team title tournament. There's a method to my madness so please be patient, mid card will eventually get an overhaul but it will be a slightly drawn out process.

    ECW on TNN Preview

    08-18-2000

Tonight at ECW on TNN in Florida we have one the biggest Extreme Championship Wrestling cards of the year ready to go. The main event of the evening is easily the most personal of all the feuds, and it’s quite fitting that the match will take place here in Florida as well. Rhino has been a dominant ECW Television Champion for what seems like an eternity now; however before he was the champion, there was another guy who was possibly an even more dominant champion Rob Van Dam. Van Dam never actually lost the title as in a match against Rhino, which funnily enough was in this very arena in Florida; RVD broke his ankle and was forced to relinquish his beloved gold. Whilst Rhino has proven to be a big deal as he says he is, RVD and Bill Alfonso truly believe that he is still the uncrowned champion. Week after week Rhino has been destroying challenger after challenger, whilst RVD has been building momentum and campaigning for the title shot. This one on one encounter is as huge as it gets, over a year in the making, and we will see it tonight. There are plenty of questions being raised by both men leading into this one however one question will certainly have a definitive answer tonight, who truly deserves to be the ECW Television Champion?

The ECW Television Championship won’t be the only gold on the line tonight, as Justin Credible will once again be defending his ECW Championship against determined challenger Kid Kash. Credible has been in and out of confidence lately, having to use interference from Francine, as well as some unwanted(?) help from The Network to retain his title. With that being said he’s still been able to show a tremendous amount of resilience to stay in some of these matches as long as he has. On the flip side of the coin, Kid Kash has built amazing amounts of momentum, beating everybody in his path, and even pushing Rob Van Dam right to the limit a few weeks ago. Last week at ECW on TNN these guys battled it out in this exact same match, and Kid Kash was in control, looking set to nail the Money Maker when Rhino interfered causing a No Contest. The powers that be have decided that it’s only fair that Kid Kash gets another shot and that will happen tonight. One has to wonder whether The Network will have any presence in this match. Whether Francine will play a part as per usual? Will the sequel live up to the original? More importantly than all these though, will we walk out of Florida with a new ECW Champion?

We briefly mentioned The Network earlier and we are wondering just what type of impact they will have on tonight’s show. At this stage nobody can answer, but they definitely will be present. Everybody’s least favourite impersonator Lou E. Dangerously is hosting another episode of The Danger Zone tonight, and his guest this evening will be the leader of The Network himself, Cyrus. Dangerously won’t be much of a host tonight as he will more or less let Cyrus speak about whatever he feels like. One has to wonder whether Cyrus will have any concerns about The Network possibly having no championships in their cabinet after Rhino defends against RVD. Cyrus should also have some thoughts regarding the fiery conversation which took place between ECW Champion Justin Credible and Network member Steve Corino last week. The Network has been trying to recruit Credible for about a month now, yet the champion is still yet to make a decision. Credible last week claimed that he works alone, Corino didn’t agree, bringing up Credible’s stormy past as an example. The two looked set to come to blows until the number one contender for the ECW Championship Jerry Lynn stormed the ring and attacked both men. Will Cyrus announce that The Network have given up on Credible and are searching for somebody else, or will he announce a punishment for Corino after he ruined Cyrus’ plans to flatter Credible last week?

One constant of all shows over the past month has been qualifying matches for the ECW Tag Team Championship Tournament. Long term tag teams and new teams just getting started have all been fighting tooth and nail for the chance to hold the most prestigious tag team titles in all of wrestling. The brackets are now finalised for the August twenty fifth and twenty sixth Tournament, however teams who have qualified for the tournament aren’t finished trying to get the upper hand. The FBI and Yoshihiro Tajiri have had issues since their interference cost Tajiri his ECW Championship match against Justin Credible. The FBI have never really revealed what their true motives were however ‘The Japanese Buzzsaw’ has been hell bent on revenge ever since. Tajiri has been fighting against the odds and holding his own, but the numbers game was just becoming too much. With the help of The Sinister Minister, the team of Mikey Whipwreck and Tajiri, The Unholy Alliance was born. The FBI and The Unholy Alliance will meet in the first round of the Tournament which will allow Tajiri the chance for the ultimate revenge. The ongoing battle continues tonight though as all three members of The FBI will face The Unholy Alliance, who have acquired the services of Psicosis to be the third man in their team for one night. Which team will go into the ECW Tag Team Championship Tournament with all the momentum in the world?

Two weeks ago at a house show in Houston, Texas we witnessed one of the most heinous acts we have ever seen in ECW. The sadistic CW Anderson decided to make a name from himself by interrupting female wrestler Jazz’s match against a local talent, and brutalising her with a Clothesline. The disgusting act continued as Anderson then followed this up by delivering a Spine Buster through a table to Jazz. Extreme Championship Wrestling’s stalwart and locker room leader Tommy Dreamer quickly chased Anderson from the ring, before checking on Jazz. Over the past week since then Tommy Dreamer has condemned the acts of Anderson, and has voiced his want for a match against the man with the famous last name. CW didn’t take long to accept the match, and it has to be said ‘The Innovator Of Violence’ could be looking to do some serious damage to CW in his current emotional state. Will CW be able to handle the step up in competition from what he’s used to, or will Tommy Dreamer teach CW the lesson that he needs to learn after his terrible actions towards Jazz?

Tune in to see all of this extreme action and much, much more!

Re: Extreme Championship Wrestling by Stojy

Rhyno Vs Rob Van Dam for the TV title is going to be epic. I don't think RVD will regain the championship as I think Rhyno has plenty of juice left as champion. Justin Credible will dominate Kid Kash who will suffer a real life knee injury and never been seen or heard from again... one could dream I guess.

Re: Extreme Championship Wrestling by Stojy

I'm glad to see my earlier comment on this BTB finally showed up (post #29), I believe it had to get approved by a moderator first because I'm a new member. Anyway, thoughts on your most recent show, Hardcore TV.

    • I'm liking the kind of mis-matched team of Chilly Willy and The Sandman. Hoping they go pretty far in the tournament because they're the type of team you can really have some fun with booking.
    • The Sinister Minister is creepy as shit! I find myself as confused as Tajiri sometimes with the stuff he's coming out with but you're portraying the gimmick of him being a disgusting and sadistic maniac really well.
    • I'm a big fan of EZ Money, I think he had the potential to do really well in reality had WCW not closed it's doors. Here's hoping Hot Commodity are a little more successful here than in real life.
    • Whipwreck actually performed a lot better here than I thought he would, obviously TSM was involved but I genuinely thought it was just going to be a squash. Goes to show the amount of punishment Mikey can take!
    • Looking forward to ECW on TNN, you've got a PPV-quality card lined up so i'm really excited to see whats going to happen. RVD is the man to stop Rhino, but not just yet, in my opinion. The match will go out the window because of a no-contest somehow!

Thanks for the comments, Gambit and LJM, much appreciated.

Sorry for the wait on this show, real life has just been killing me.

    ECW On TNN

    18-08-2000

    Ft. Lauderdale, Florida

The show opens in ABSOLUTE PANDEMONIUM!

The audience is going off their rocker with “ECDUBBYA”, “ECDUBBYA”, “ECDUBBYA” chants mixed in with chants of “TOMMY”, “TOMMY”, “TOMMY”.

It’s easy to see why as inside the ring CW ANDERSON and TOMMY DREAMER are going toe to toe, hammering away at each other with brutal closed fist punches…

Tommy begins to get an advantage hammering with a few right hands in the row… Until CW is able to interrupt with a POKE IN THE EYE!

Dreamer backs away clutching at his eye, whilst Anderson uses the opportunity to lean against the ropes and shake out the cobwebs. He takes too long though and DREAMER SPRINTS AT HIM AND SPEARS HIM THROUGH THE ROPES… AND BOTH MEN GO TUMBLING TO THE OUTSIDE!

Joey Styles: Ladies and gentleman, WELCOME TO ECW ON TNN! CW Anderson and Tommy Dreamer were scheduled to go at it tonight but they were unable to wait. We are led to believe that Tommy Dreamer confronted Anderson backstage and the two began fighting… AND THEY HAVEN’T STOPPED SINCE!

Joel Gertner: This is what the land of extreme is all about! Tommy Dreamer is defending the honour of Jazz after CW Anderson’s disgusting actions towards her… and right now, Tommy looks POSSESSED!

“ECDUBBYA”, “ECDUBBYA”, “ECDUBBYA” chants echo throughout the jam packed arena again, as Dreamer does indeed look like a man possessed.

Dreamer MOUNTS THE STUNNED ANDERSON… AND CONTINUES TO PUMMEL HIM WITH RIGHTS AND LEFTS!

All Anderson can do is attempt to cover up, until ECW’s most loyal competitor punches himself out, and gets off of him.

Tommy heads around ringside and FINDS A STEEL CHAIR… As Anderson rolls himself back into the ring…

Dreamer slides in afterwards and RAISES THE CHAIR ABOVE HIS HEAD…

HE’S ABOUT TO SMASH ANDERSON WITH THE STEEL CHAIR…

    ANDERSON IS BEGGING OFF…

The fans are urging Dreamer to take Anderson apart…

WHEN TEAM ME, SIMON DIAMOND AND JOHNNY SWINGER TACKLE TOMMY TO THE MAT, PREVENTING HIM FROM TAKING OUT ANDERSON WITH THE STEEL CHAIR!

The fans cause the building to shake with heat as Diamond and Swinger begin hammering away on Dreamer.

As the two continue to double team the fan favourite, CW Anderson is able to recover and make his way back up.

Eventually Team ME hold an arm of Tommy’s each… AND CW ANDERSON CONNECTS WITH THE HARDEST RIGHT HANDS YOU’LL EVER SEE… WITH DREAMER HAVING NO WAY TO DEFEND HIMSELF!

Anderson stops and shakes his fist, feeling a bit of pain, whilst Dreamer is let go by Team Me and collapses to the canvas.

The camera man does a great job of getting a close up which shows a bruise around Dreamer’s left eye beginning to colour.

As the fans continue to boo the shit out of the trio… CW ANDERSON NOW PICKS UP THE STEEL CHAIR AND LOOKS TO FINISH OFF DREAMER!

Team Me begin bringing Dreamer up to his feet as Anderson rests against the ropes… Once they get Dreamer up… ANDERSON LOOKS SET TO TAKE A STEP FORWARD… BUT HE’S TRIPPED UP BY DANNY DORING AND ROADKILL!!!

The steel chair and CW Anderson drop to the mat, as Roadkill and Doring slide inside the ring… AND IMMEDIATELY GO TO WORK ON TEAM ME!

Roadkill and Doring hammer away on their fellow tag team… as TOMMY DREAMER IS ABLE TO GET BACK UP TO HIS FEET!

The fans are going ape shit for Tommy as he immediately charges at Anderson… WHO ROLLS OUT OF THE RING… DECIDING TO FIGHT ANOTHER DAY!

“PUSSY”, “PUSSY”, “PUSSY” chants are directed to Anderson as Doring and Roadkill toss Simon Diamond outside the ring…

Diamond decides to retreat along with Anderson… AND JOHNNY SWINGER TRIES TO ROLL OUT OF THE RING… BUT DORING AND ROADKILL CATCH HIM!

The pop is MASSIVE as Swinger kicks his legs wildly; trying to break free, but Doring and Roadkill have a firm grip.

Meanwhile Tommy Dreamer sees this… AND PICKS UP THE STEEL CHAIR!

Doring and Roadkill bring Swinger up and hold him in place, with Swinger begging “NO, TOMMY, PLEASE! THIS WASN’T MY IDEA”!

Dreamer shakes his head… AND CREAMS SWINGER WITH A STEEL CHAIR RIGHT TO THE FACE!

The fans mark the fuck out as Dreamer shakes hands with Doring and Roadkill, appreciating their help.

Whilst Swinger lays motionless in the ring his buddies stand at the curtain, frustrated, but not wanting to get back inside the ring…

Joel Gertner: What a start to the show! This was about as EXPLOSIVE as a stud’s sex life, awesome stuff. One thing’s for certain though Tommy Dreamer can thank his lucky stars for Danny Doring and Roadkill!

Joey Styles: I completely agree and that’s exactly what he’s doing. Tommy was trying to defend the honour of Jazz tonight after that horrendous act by CW Anderson a couple of weeks ago. I have a feeling Tommy didn’t accomplish what he wanted to, this situation looks like it’s going to become a lot more heated in the coming weeks.

Joel Gertner: Well, whilst Swinger is still trying to wake up from being creamed in the face with that steel chair… I believe Rob Van Dam has something to say…

The faces are still leaving the arena as we head to a basement somewhere…

Once at the new scene, we see Rob Van Dam possibly looking the most serious we have ever seen him. Van Dam’s already in his wrestling gear, sweat trickling down his forehead, possibly having just finished one of his vigorous warm up sessions. There’s no whistle and no Bill Alfonso with him which perhaps shows just how big tonight is for RVD.

Rob Van Dam: Usually I’m pretty laid back… but not tonight. I’ve been waitin’ a long, LONG time for the chance to get my hands on a Rhino in a one on one match again.

RVD pauses, a slight tremble in his jaw as he’s trying to control his anger.

Rob Van Dam: And funnily enough… We’re back in Florida, man…

An epic cheap pop can be heard as the fans cheer for the more than likely taped segment. RVD lets out a slight smirk but it seems more in irony than anything.

Rob Van Dam: It was in this very state… in this very building… in this very ring when I last fought Rhino and broke my ankle.

No smile now, RVD’s all business tonight.

Rob Van Dam: Rhino, dude, finally after tonight, you don’t get to brag about holding MY belt!

Another pause as RVD is trying to remain calm.

Rob Van Dam: I’m just better than you bro… You walk around and scream your name out to anybody who listens, I don’t.

Deep breath, as Van Dam wants to emphasise his next sentence.

Rob Van Dam: You are forced to do that so people have a chance of remembering who you are… I’m not.

Slightest signs of a grin from RVD as he lets his words sink in.

Rob Van Dam: Everybody already knows my name…

    “RVD”, “RVD”, “RVD” chants.

    Rob Van Dam: I’m everybody’s favourite wrestler…

More chants for the much loved Van Dam.

Rob Van Dam: Everybody knows that I’m not just a BIG…FUCKIN’…DEAL…

One last pause from the intense Van Dam, I promise.

Rob Van Dam: I’m the… (Thumb taunts) WHOLE…FUCKIN’…SHOW!

RVD dead pans the camera seriously one last time, looking more focused than he’s possibly ever been in his entire career.

“Battery” by Metallica is the first entrance theme we hear for the night, and one of ECW’s Mexican Conglomerate Psicosis walks through the curtain. The masked Luchador gets a respectful ovation from the ECW fans but doesn’t overly acknowledge it as he gets to the ring. “T.I.W.” by Harry Slash and The Slashstones is up next, bringing out Psicosis’ partners for the night, The Unholy Alliance. The crowd’s reaction picks up considerably as they show their love for Mikey Whipwreck and Yoshihiro Tajiri. The duo are closely trailed by The Sinister Minister who whispers instructions to his newly formed tag team over the cheers of the always vocal crowd. Once in the ring Mikey and Tajiri share a somewhat awkward handshake greeting with Psicosis. “No Sleep ‘Till Brooklyn” by The Beastie Boys now pumps through the arena system and heat ERUPTS for The Full Blooded Italians. Little Guido, Sal E Graziano and Tony Mamaluke walk down the ramp, shooting rude Italian hand gestures to the fans as per usual. The commentators are quick to mention that the three look pretty confident considering their loss last week on Hardcore TV. One man who doesn’t look happy is Tajiri who still blames The FBI as the reason he’s not the ECW Champion right now.

    Match One
Psicosis and The Unholy Alliance w/The Sinister Minister vs. The Full Blooded Italians

The Full Blooded Italians easily decide that Tony Mamaluke will start the match, however their opposing trio don’t have such a smooth decision making process. A Japanese, Mexican and American guy are all trying to communicate and eventually it’s decided that Tajiri will start the match. Mikey and The Sinister Minister seem pretty happy with the decision but Psicosis can be shown shaking his head on the apron. Mamaluke immediately looks at his corner and laughs off Tajiri, asking his teammates “LOOK ‘OW SMALL AND CUTE HE IS”… But his attitude quickly changes… WHEN TAJIRI SWINGS WITH A ROUNDHOUSE KICK THAT MAMALUKE ONLY JUST AVOIDS!

Mamaluke gulps realising he’s in for an actual fight here and that he needs to get to it. The two prepare to lock up, HOWEVER TAJIRI DUCKS AWAY FROM TONY’S GRIP… AND BEGINS HAMMERING WITH RIGHT HANDS, LEFT HANDS, RIGHT FEET, LEFT FEET… PEPPERING THE MID SECTION OF TONY!

The cocky Italian is immediately backed into his opponent’s corner and Tajiri makes a rather quick tag to Mikey. Instead of hopping inside the ring, Mikey climbs to the top rope… as Tajiri whips Mamaluke into the ropes. As Mamaluke returns Tajiri drops to the canvas… TONY JUMPS OVER TAJIRI… RIGHT INTO A TOP ROPE CROSSBODY FROM MIKEY! MIKEY QUICKLY MAKES THE COVER…1…2…TONY KICKS OUT!

Joey Styles and Joel Gertner can’t believe it, really putting over the team work of The Unholy Alliance early. Mikey continues on the attack using basic ECW brawling tactics to keep Mamaluke off balance. Getting frustrated on the other side of the ring, LITTLE GUIDO AND BIG SAL CHARGE INTO THE RING! GUIDO RUNS STRAIGHT INTO A SPINNING HEEL KICK FROM PSICOSIS!

Meanwhile Big Sal bends over to pick up Mikey, who’s mauling Mamaluke with right hands… BUT TAJIRI COMES FROM BEHIND WITH A LOW DROPKICK TO THE ASS… WHICH SENDS SAL TUMBLING THROUGH THE ROPES TO THE OUTSIDE!

The ovation is huge as “FAT SHIT”, “FAT SHIT”; “FAT SHIT” chants are directed at Sal whilst Tajiri and Mikey pick up Mamaluke… LIFT HIM UP… AND TAKE HIM BACK DOWN WITH A DOUBLE BRAIN BUSTER! Instead of going for the cover Mikey yells out to Psicosis “HOLD HIM” and Psicosis holds Mamaluke in a seated position… Allowing TAJIRI AND MIKEY COME FROM A SIDE EACH AN LAND A DOUBLE BUZZSAW KICK TO THE HEAD OF MAMALUKE! HE MAY BE OUT… AS MIKEY HOOKS THE LEG…1…2…3!

NO! LITTLE GUIDO INTERRUPTS THE COUNT BY DRAGGING THE REFEREE OUT OF THE RING!

With Tajiri and Psicosis safely back on the apron, Guido hits another shot or two on Mikey before getting back onto the ring apron. Mamaluke crawls to his side of the ring and is able to make the tag to Guido… but at the same time Mikey is able to make the tag to Tajiri!

Tajiri steps inside the ring and begins trading right hands, before Tajiri gets the advantage in this exchange. He then bounces Guido off the ropes and takes him back down with a Clothesline. ‘The Japanese Buzzsaw’ waits for Nunzio to get to one knee… BEFORE GOING FOR THE BUZZSAW KICK… BUT GUIDO DUCKS… IMMEDIATELY LEAPS TO HIS FEET AND TAKES TAJIRI DOWN WITH A BACK SUPLEX!

Guido tags in Big Sal now, yelling for him to “SQUASH HIM LIKE A BUG”! Big Sal looks to comply as he jumps up… AND LANDS A BODY SPLASH ON TAJIRI… BEFORE HE GETS UP… AND LANDS A SECOND BODY SPLASH ON TAJIRI! BIG SAL MAKES THE COVER…1…2…MIKEY INTERRUPTS THE COUNT!

Mikey does a great job keeping the match going, but Tajiri is in some severe pain after being squashed by a man who’s over double his size. As much as Tajiri would much prefer to be doing the aggressing considering the history he has with the Italian faction, he finds himself on the defensive for much of the contest. Despite everything the Italians throw at the Jap, they can’t quite put him away. Mamaluke decides to further torture Tajiri, locking in the SICILIAN CRAB, really stretching Tajiri. The cries of agony emanating from Tajiri can be heard throughout the arena… but he just won’t tap…

Mamaluke gets frustrated and let’s go of the hold, before tagging in Guido. ‘The Sicilian Shooter’ ground and pounds Tajiri for a little while… before bringing him up… AND SMASHING HIM BACK DOWN WITH AN ITALIAN LEGSWEEP! GUIDO WITH THE LATERAL PRESS…1…2…NO! TAJIRI JUST MANAGES TO GET A SHOULDER UP!

Little Guido stomps on Tajiri a little more before tagging Big Sal back into the match. Sal bounces off the ropes… JUMPING UP FOR ANOTHER BODY SPLASH… BUT TAJIRI GETS HIS KNEES UP! Sal stays on the mat clutching his mid section, gasping for air, whilst a battered Tajiri begins slowly crawling towards his corner…

Tajiri is about to make the tag… WHEN BIG SAL GRABS ONTO HIS LEG… ONLY FOR TAJIRI TO TURN IT INTO A MULE KICK AND MAKE THE TAG TO PSICOSIS!

Sal quickly back tracks and makes the tag to Little Guido but Psicosis is as fresh as a daisy. Guido charges only to get drilled with a Clothesline… and another… and another… followed by a big SPINNING HEEL KICK!

Perhaps off instinct Guido quickly gets up and runs at Psicosis again… BUT PSICOSIS MANEUVRES HIM INTO A WHEELBARROW FACEBUSTER! PSICOSIS HOOKS THE LEG…1…2…GUIDO KICKS OUT!

The usually fast paced Psicosis realises everybody in this match is fatigued except for him and he can end this real quick. He brings Guido back up… but Guido nails a quick knee to the mid section. GUIDO APPLIES A FRONT FACELOCK… LOOKING FOR A SUPLEX… BUT PSICOSIS BLOCKS IT… AND ENDS UP NAILING A SITOUT INVERTED SUPLEX SLAM!

Guido rolls over, laying flat on his back in the middle of the ring… as Psicosis heads to the top rope. PSICOSIS CROSSES HIMSELF BEFORE COMING OFF AND LANDING WITH A DIVING LEG DROP FROM THE TOP ROPE! PSICOSIS WITH THE COVER…1…2…3!

NO! MAMALUKE BREAKS UP THE PIN!

Mamaluke continues to hammer away on Psicosis… UNTIL HE’S MET BY TAJIRI!

Tajiri is hammering away with punches that take ALL HIS EFFORT, really rocking Mamaluke. Psicosis gets up and sees Mamaluke standing facing Tajiri… TAJIRI KNOCKS DOWN MAMALUKE WITH THE FINAL, KILLER RIGHT HAND… JUST AS PSICOSIS ATTEMPTS A SPINNING HEEL KICK FROM BEHIND… BUT WITH MAMALUKE CRUMBLING TO THE CANVAS… PSICOSIS TAKES OUT TAJIRI WITH THE HEEL KICK!

The gasps of the audience can be heard at the miscommunication as Mamaluke gets up… AND THIS TIE MIKEY CHARGES WITH A CLOTHESLINE… ONLY FOR MAMALUKE TO DUCK… AND MIKEY DROPS PSICOSIS WITH A CLOTHESLINE!

Mikey then drops Mamaluke… only for BIG SAL TO PICK UP MIKEY ABOVE HIS HEAD… AND THROW HIM OUT OF THE RING!

Psicosis sees this and attacks Big Sal, forcing him from the ring… but he TURNS STRAIGHT INTO A DDT FROM GUIDO!

GUIDO THEN HEADS TO THE TOP ROPE… AND COMES OFF WITH THE KISS OF DEATH!

    GUIDO HOOKS THE LEG…1…2…3!

Winners – The Full Blooded Italians @ 7:13

After scoring the deciding pinfall, Guido quickly scurries out of the ring, gathering the troops on the outside. Once The FBI is half way to the back they begin celebrating, their custom cockiness back, much to the annoyance of the fans.

At ringside The Sinister Minister checks on Mikey and Tajiri, making sure they are okay and preparing for them to regroup.

Inside the ring Psicosis is still laid out, and the trio get inside the ring to help him up.

Once they help Psicosis up… HE SHRUGS THEM OFF AND SHOOTS THEM THE BIRD!

Clearly the Luchador isn’t happy as he leaves the ring, whilst The Unholy Alliance look offended inside the ring.

Right at the curtain The FBI watch on fighting fits of laughter as we head to our first commercial break.

    -COMMERCIAL BREAK-

When we return from the commercial break, the ECW go to guy Joey Styles is standing in the back with a microphone in his hand.

Joey Styles: Welcome back to ECW on TNN and what a match we saw just before the commercial break. The FBI was able to come away with the victory against Psicosis and The Unholy Alliance after a miscommunication between Psicosis and the team. One has to wonder if on August twenty fifth when The FBI and The Unholy Alliance meet in the first round of the ECW Tag Team Championship Tournament whether The FBI will get the win again… Or whether Tajiri along with his new friend Mikey will finally get revenge on The FBI for costing him the ECW Championship back on July twenty first!

Joey pauses after getting fairly excited with the event he’s hyping.

Joey Styles: And since this is a TV taping for this DAMN NETWORK…

Styles pauses again, this time looking pretty fired up.

Joey Styles: T…N…N doesn’t have a leg to stand on if they don’t want us to plug our shows!

The fans hear the remark and as always loving the anti establishment company begin chanting “ECDUBBYA”, “ECDUBBYA”, “ECDUBBYA”.

Joey Styles: So the other matches in the ECW Tag Team Championship Tournament ARE… Chilly Wil-…

All of a sudden the screen goes to black… as it seems JOEY STYLES HAS BEEN CUT OFF BY THE NETWORK!

There’s already a fair amount of heat, but it increases by tenfold as the ever smarmy Lou E. Dangerously steps through the curtain. As per normal with Lou it doesn’t take much for the crowd to hate him; however he turns his nose up at them before straightening his blazer and striding to the ring. Once in the ring Lou E. wastes little time grabbing a microphone as the DEAFENING heat continues…

Lou E. Dangerously: Welcome… All you UNEMPLOYED, SUN BAKING, IMBECILES to the DANGER ZONE!

No chants tonight but the HEAT continues to rival any you’d hear at any wrestling show of any wrestling company. Lou E. just frowns at the crowd before continuing.

Lou E. Dangerously: And tonight’s guest is easily the MOST ESTEEMED guest I’ve ever had the pleasure of having on this show… Please give a warm, hearty welcome to the INSPIRATIONAL leader of The Network… CYRUS!

The heat begins before “Debonaire” by Dope so you can imagine HOW LOUD it gets when it does hits and Cyrus is seen for the first time tonight. Cyrus walks down to the ring ignoring the heat, pretending to be wiping tears at the heart warming introduction from Lou E…

Once Cyrus gets in the ring, he and Lou E. share a hug…

    Which leads to…

“FAGGOTS”, “FAGGOTS”, “FAGGOTS” chants from the ECW fans…

Lou E. Dangerously: Cyrus, I wanted to get your thoughts on the Three Way Dance for the ECW Championship between Justin Credible, Jerry Lynn and Steve Corino on August twenty sixth at the Hammerstein Ballroom!

Lou E. hands the microphone over to Cyrus, who chuckles at all the heat he’s receiving before trying to speak.

Cyrus: Firstly, well done to you on such an adequate question… And as for the match, well, it’s going to be fantastic…

Cyrus pauses almost a little shocked at the fact the fans don’t have anything to boo him about right now.

Cyrus: But I’m not one to beat around the bush Lou, especially not tonight. The reason why I accepted your invitation to be on the Danger Zone tonight, besides the fact that it’s an honour is because I wanted to call out the ECW Champion Just Credible! Justin, I know you’re back there preparing for your title defence later on tonight, but I’d appreciate it if you could come on out here because there’s something that I’ve got to say to you.

Cyrus pauses as the fans begin to stir, remembering the confrontation between Credible and Steve Corino last week. Cyrus and Lou E. don’t have to wait for long as “Snap Your Fingers, Snap Your Neck” by Grinspoon hits and quickly after the ECW Champion Justin Credible strides out, with the luscious Francine just behind him holding onto his title belt. The fans are still giving Credible a negative reaction but it’s a little more mixed than usual due to his disagreements with The Network last week. Credible pulls a microphone out of his jean shorts pocket, not looking to happy, as Lou E and Cyrus give him a round of applause.

Justin Credible: This whole thing is getting old, really, really fast. What do you want now?

The champions anger turns to a look of shock, as Cyrus bows his head and puts his arms up, almost admitting a wrongdoing.

Cyrus: I’ll openly admit that’s a pretty fair reaction. The reason why I’ve asked you to come out here tonight, Justin, is because I owe you an apology. You see I sent out my emissary Steve Corino last week…

BIG HEAT for the mention of Corino, as Credible and Francine both screw up their faces at the mention of the name.

Cyrus: I should have been the one to speak to you last week, because Steve can get a little hot headed sometimes.

More boos as Cyrus doesn’t break eye contact with JC, trying to gain his trust.

Cyrus: I should have come out here last week stand face to face with you and tell you that The Network has invested a lot into the ECW Champion Justin Credible!

The fans aren’t sure how to react as Credible and Francine looks confused. Cyrus smiles at Justin now…

Cyrus: And the reason for that is pretty simple, we like you…

The champion continues to look confused, as the fans call bullshit…

Cyrus: Now I know, I know, you were never actually IN The Network…

Mini pop at that statement from the epic smart ass fans.

Cyrus: But we always liked you…

BOOOOS, and “SHUT THE FUCK UP”, “SHUT THE FUCK UP”; “SHUT THE FUCK UP” chants can be heard.

Cyrus: We liked you so much that we allowed you to be the ECW Champion. We’ve allowed you to rule Extreme Championship Wrestling without any affiliation to The Network for eight, long months.

JC cocks an eyebrow as if to say “is that so”? The fans don’t like it, but Cyrus just continues.

Cyrus: We can’t do that any longer, Justin. The time has come for The Network to have everything.

“FUCK THE NETWORK”, “FUCK THE NETWORK”, “FUCK THE NETWORK”.

Cyrus: But like I said Justin, we like you. That’s why we’ve shown so much good faith towards you over the past month…

Not for the first time tonight, the sharp tongued Cyrus has confused everybody.

Cyrus: As a show of good faith, over the past month I’ve given you an example of just what The Network can do for you!

Boos, as Cyrus nods along with his words. Of course Lou E. does to, Muppet.

Cyrus: We put a bounty on the head of Jerry Lynn to ensure he’s more focused on watching his own back and protecting himself, and less concerned on the shot he won at your title.

The fans listen on intently now as does Credible and Francine.

Cyrus: We paid off The FBI to save you from Tajiri and to keep that scheming foreigner DISTRACTED for the time being.

HUMUNGOUS HEAT for this, as everybody loves Tajiri. Justin seems to be information overload, just taking everything in.

Cyrus: We paid off CW Anderson…

Cyrus is interrupted by UNGODLY heat for the woman basher.

Cyrus: And Team ME to take out Kid Kash and delay that title defence!

As you can imagine, more major heat from the fans, as Credible shakes his head in disbelief.

Cyrus: And what about last week?

Credible sighs in frustration, knowing exactly where this is going.

    Cyrus: Rhino saved… your…ass!

More heat from the fans as Credible looks down at the mat, deep in thought.

Cyrus: You see Justin; The Network WILL have the ECW Championship…

BOOOOOO as Credible again raises his eyebrows at Cyrus.

Cyrus: As a matter of fact, The Network WILL have the ECW Championship on August twenty sixth…

More heat as Credible doesn’t know how to react.

Cyrus: Steve Corino is… our back up!

JC looks at Cyrus intently, trying to gauge… well, anything. Cyrus has an awesome poker face though.

Cyrus: I’m asking you right now what the answer is.

Credible looks at Francine who looks just as unsure as he is as the audience begins to stir…

Cyrus: And if you will be joining The Network, if the answers a yes…

“NO”, “NO”, “NO” chants from the crowd.

Cyrus: You don’t need to worry about Kid Kash tonight…

    BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Cyrus: Because The Network can… postpone that contest for a little while.

Of course the fans seem to almost want to riot after this, as the ECW Champion still looks unsure of what he wants to do.

    Cyrus: And if it’s a yes…

    Cyrus pauses for effect.

Cyrus: You can continue on your journey as the ECW Champion…

Cyrus’ face now distorts into a furious expression.

Cyrus: But if it’s a no, Rhino is going to GORE YOU IN HALF the moment you step foot inside that ring for your tag team match at the Hammerstein Ballroom!

JC looks a little defiant now, clenching his fists as the fans actually tried to start up a “CREDIBLE” chant but it doesn’t really get going.

Cyrus: And then Steve Corino will just bring me the title the next night anyway!

Credible looks over at his title, as the fans continue to boo the shit out of Cyrus. Cyrus now actually takes a step towards Credible, not breaking eye contract once again.

Cyrus: Those are both your options, it’s a black and white situation. This really isn’t a difficult decision to make, what do you say, champ?

Cyrus hands the microphone over to Credible… Who gingerly accepts it…

The fans are pleading with Credible to “JUST SAY NOT”, “JUST SAY NO”, “JUST SAY NO”!

Credible hesitates with the microphone before taking a quick look at Francine…

Who nods him on encouragingly, but probably not knowing his decision…

Credible puts the microphone to his lips…

    Justin Credible:

    But before he can speak…

HE GETS TURNED AROUND AND DROPPED WITH A RIGHT HAND…

    BY KID KASH!

The fans mark the fuck out, as Credible rolls out of the ring and Lou E and Cyrus get out of dodge as well.

With Credible recovering on the outside and Francine tending to him, Kash picks up the microphone that Credible dropped in the ring.

    Kid Kash: SCREW… THE… NETWORK!

Epic pop and “KID KASH”, “KID KASH”, “KID KASH” chants.

Kid Kash: IT’S TIME FOR MY TITLE SHOT!

Another huge pop as the fans are still going crazy.

    Kid Kash: YEAH!

The fans and Kash continue to go nuts, as a referee sprints down the ramp, and Credible gulps, realising his title defence is now.

Not wanting to be a distraction Cyrus wishes him “good luck”, before leaving the ringside area along with Lou E.

Of course Francine remains for ‘encouragement’ as Credible tentatively goes about getting back into the ring.

    Match Two
    ECW Championship Match
Justin Credible w/Francine defends against Kid Kash

The bell rings and unlike last week’s match Credible knows better than to try for a handshake this time. The two circle each other like caged animals, Credible taking deep breaths and looking nervous, Kash now calm, cool and collected. Credible looks set for a lock up… But Kash easily transitions into a Side Headlock. Kash keeps the Headlock tight… and Credible attempts to push Kash away… But KK drops to a knee, keeping the hold applied.

The ECW Champion can’t escape the headlock and Kash quickly turns it into a Side Headlock Take down, keeping the hold on but now smothering Credible. Credible slaps the mat in frustration as Francine yells “COME ON” but it’s to no avail. Eventually Credible starts to slither himself closer and closer to the ropes, however Kash won’t let up on the hold, simply out wrestling and embarrassing the champion in these opening minutes. Kash continues to be in control… UNTIL FRANCINE REACHES IN AND GRABS CREDIBLE’S FOOT AND PULLS HIM FROM THE RING!

Credible gasps for air a little on the outside, his face a beet red as Francine tries to talk some of the panic out of him. Kash looks extremely frustrated at the hold being broken that way, as the fans chant “SLUT”, “SLUT”, “SLUT” at an appalled Francine. This is interrupted though AS KASH CHARGES ACROSS THE RING AND COMES OVER THE TOP ROPE WITH A SOMERSAULT PLANCHA!

An epic pop rings out from the fans as an “ECDUBBYA”,”ECDUBBYA”, “ECDUBBYA” chant kicks in and Kash gets up, pointing at Francine and yelling “STAY THE FUCK OUTTA’ THIS”! Over the next few minutes the fired up challenger continues to beat on Credible from pillar to post on the outside of the ring. The referee tries and tries to get the action back inside the ring… and Finally it happens. Once inside the ring, Kash makes a lazy cover…1…2NO! CREDIBLE KICKS OUT!

KK lets out a bit of a smirk almost as if he knew that wasn’t going to be it as he continues his brutal assault in the ring. Kash really makes Credible hurt in the early goings with kicks and punches, mainly using brawling tactics to the cheers of the ECW faithful in Florida. Eventually Kash changes things up and takes Credible down with a Scoop Slam, before heading to the top rope. Once up there… KASH LEAPS OFF… AND LANDS PERFECTLY ON CREDIBLE WITH A FROG SPLASH… KASH HOOKS THE LEG…1…2…NO! CREDIBLE MANAGES A SHOULDER UP THIS TIME!

One thing that has to be somewhat admired about the champion is his resilience in every single title defence. Kash is not be deterred though as he stomps on Credible’s leg a few times… BEFORE LOCKING IN THE K.O.D… KASH ON DELIVERY (ELEVATED BOSTON CRAB)!

JC screams in agony as the fans pray that he taps… Credible looks towards the rope but in the awkward position he’s in he won’t make it… Kash SCREAMS WITH INTENSITY… Really applying the pressure… AND CREDIBLE RAISES HIS HAND…

    TO TAP…

BUT BEFORE HE DOES FRANCINE RAKES THE EYES OF KID KASH!

The fans go ape shit as Kash immediately lets go of the hold and clutches at his eyes, allowing FRANCINE TO DROP TO HER KNEES… AND LAND A LOW BLOW TO KASH!

The “SLUT”, “SLUT”, “SLUT” chants ring out again… as Credible CRAWLS OVER AND DRAPES AN ARM OVER KASH’S CHEST…1…2…NO! KASH IS ABLE TO GET A SHOULDER UP!

The ovation from the fans causes the arena to shake as Kash is still in this one. It’s an uphill battle from here though as now the champion is firmly in control, and the champion rarely makes mistakes. Credible has a sustained period of dominance both inside and outside the ring, really paying Kash back for the beating he received earlier in the match. After awhile Credible decides it’s time to end things… as he heads to the top rope… AND COMES OFF LANDING A PERFECT DIVING ELBOW DROP INTO KASH’S STERNUM… CREDIBLE HOOKS THE LEG…1…2…3!NO! KASH JUST GETS A SHOULDER UP!

Even though Kash showed he won’t give in that easy, the champion is pretty confident now and that seems to be when he’s at his best. Credible brings Kash back to a vertical base… BEFORE SIMPLY DROPPING HIM AGAIN WITH AN INVERTED DDT! CREDIBLE MAKES THE COVER…1…2…3!NO! KASH JUST GETS OUT AGAIN!

Credible now looks a little bit frustrated as Credible looks over at Francine and shakes his head… But Francine points for JC to stay on Kash well he’s got him down. Credible brings Kash up and hammer away with right hands sending him into a corner, where he continues to hammer away. Credible is just teeing off and it’s quite obvious KK is using the support of the corner of the ring to stay standing. The Champion then whips the challenger into the opposite corner… BEFORE CHARGING IN AFTER HIM… ONLY TO RUN INTO ‘THE NOTORIOUS KID’S’ BOOT!

KK now shakes out the cobwebs and grabs hold of a dazed Credible and sits him on the second rope… Kash follows him up and hammers away with a few right hands… softening him up for what looks like a Hurricanrana attempt. Before he can get into position… CREDIBLE POKES KK IN THE EYE… AND PUSHES HIM OFF THE TOP… BUT KASH LANDS ON HIS FEET… CREDIBLE LEAPS OFF THE TOP ROPE… LEAPFROGGING KASH AND LANDING ON HIS FEET…

AND WHEN CREDIBLE TURNS AROUND CLOTHESLINE BY KK! NO, CREDIBLE DUCKS… AND LANDS THE INCREDIBLE KICK OUT OF NOWHERE!

    JC HOOKS THE LEG…1

    2…

    3!

    NO!

KASH JUST ROLLS A SHOULDER OFF THE MAT AT THE LAST MILLISECOND!

The fans are ecstatic that Kash showed off his resilience again, but can’t help but applaud Credible for the sequence we just saw. With Kash still not moving Credible just stomps on him for a few times… before heading back up to the top rope… Signalling for another Elbow Drop… CREDIBLE LEAPS OFF WITH ANOTHER DIVING ELBOW DROP… BUT THIS TIME KK ROLLS OUT OF THE WAY!

Both men remain down… Kash not moving… and JC clutching at his elbow… until both eventually get up at the same time… ONLY FOR KASH TO KICK JC IN THE GUT… FRONT FACELOCK… AND HE LANDS A SADISTIC LOOKING BRAINBUSTER!

Kash still isn’t able to capitalise straight away…

    The fans urge him on…

AND HE DRAPED AN ARM OVER THE UNMOVED CHAMPION…

    1…

    2…

    3!

    .

    NO!

CREDIBLE JUST MANAGES A SHOULDER UP!

Again the audience let out a respectful round of applause as both men lay on the mat, utterly exhausted. Kash is crawling to one set of ring ropes to help himself up… and Credible the other. However when Credible gets to the ropes… FRANCINE HANDS HIM A SINGAPORE CANE!

Both men pull themselves to their feet at about the same time, and an unsuspecting Kash turns into CREDIBLE CHARGING WITH THE SINGAPORE CANE… LOOKING FOR AN ASSISTED CLOTHESLINE WITH THE CANE… BUT KASH DUCKS… AND CREDIBLE TAKES OUT THE REFEREE!

Credible drops the Singapore Cane in frustration who looks at the champion and is trembling with anger. “YOU TRYNA’ CHEAT ME OUTTA’ MAH TITLE AGAIN YA’ PUNK”?

Credible begs off but Kash is having none of it… however the audience begins to stir as FRANCINE HAS SLID INTO THE RING WITH THE ECW CHAMPIONSHIP BELT IN HER POSSESSION!

FRANCINE COMES FROM BEHIND AND SWINGS FOR A HOME RUN… BUT KID KASH DUCKS…

AND FRANCINE JUST SMASHED THE ECW CHAMPIONSHIP INTO THE HEAD OF JUSTIN CREDIBLE!

The fans mark the fuck out… as Kash QUICKLY POUNCES… GRABBING FRANCINE BY THE HAIR!

Francine begs off, pleading with Kash to let her go, as the fans cheer for blood. Kash shakes his head before throwing her outside the ring, rough enough for her to land with a thud and be pretty sore.

Meanwhile KK goes back to JC and HOOKS THE LEG…

    1…

    2…

    3…

THE CROWD COUNTS ALONG BUT THERE’S NO REFEREE!

Boos fill out the arena as the crowd and KK can’t believe it. Kash holds his arms out as if to say what am I supposed to do. Kash then decides to put this beyond doubt… Bringing the defenceless champion to his feet… AND FINISHING HIM OFF WITH THE MONEY MAKER!!!

    ONLY TO GET UP…

AND TURN STRAIGHT INTO A FUCKING VICIOUS GORE FROM RHINO!

Rhino now drags Credible on top of Kash…

Before shaking the referee and quickly getting outside the ring…

The fans are URGING, BEGGING, PLEADING with Kash to kick out…

As the ref painfully makes his way over…

And makes the famous, slow count…

    1…

    2..

    3!

Winner – Justin Credible retains the ECW Championship @ 13:06

The audience lets out a GIGANTIC amount of heat and “FUCK YOU RHINO”, “FUCK YOU RHINO”, “FUCK YOU RHINO” chants can be heard, as the muscle of The Network remains stoic on the outside of the ring.

Francine with a slight limp snatches the ECW Championship off of the referee in the ring, and puts it over he own shoulder.

She checks on Credible who still hasn’t moved… And neither has Kid Kash… As we head to a commercial break…

    -COMMERCIAL BREAK-

When we return from the commercial break, the fans are giving a respectful standing ovation as Kid Kash is being helped to the back by a couple of referees.

Meanwhile inside the ring Justin Credible has taken his title off of Francine and has seemingly been celebrating with the title throughout the commercial break.

Rhino having remained at ringside now steps into the ring himself and Credible immediately tenses up, as Francine takes a through weary steps back.

The audience is getting pretty rowdy, wanting to see something happen, but that disintegrates into heat when Cyrus quickly runs down the ramp, a microphone in hand.

Cyrus: Just like I said to you earlier, Justin, The Network can do anything for you. After the second example within a week from Rhino over there… what do you think?

Cyrus looks on hopefully whilst Rhino just looks intense. However the fans are pleading with Credible again, “JUST SAY NO”, “JUST SAY NO”, “JUST SAY NO”!

The ECW Champion looks at Francine before surveying the audience, about to make his decision…

AND HE BEGINS NODDING HIS HEAD!

The fans begin LETTING OUT LAYERS OF HEAT… as CYRUS PUTS OUT HIS HAND, WANTING TO SEAL THE DEAL WITH A HANDSHAKE!

Credible continues to nod… but before he can put out his hand and accept the shake…

ROB VAN DAM SLIDES INSIDE THE RING AND DROPS JUSTIN CREDIBLE WITH A SUPERKICK!

Cyrus, Credible and Francine all scurry out of the ring… AS RHINO AND RVD BEGIN WHALING WILD LEFT AND RIGHTS ON EACH OTHER!

    Match Three
    ECW Television Championship Match
Rhino defends against Rob Van Dam w/Bill Alfonso

As the two continue to brawl, Cyrus scurries to the back, whilst Francine just stands still, shocked on the outside. The ECW Champion Justin Credible quickly gets up, holding his mouth before he picks up his Singapore Cane, his ECW Title belt; he grabs Francine by the arm… And he storms up the ramp pretty fed up with how his night has ended. Meanwhile as RVD and Rhino continue to brawl every time RVD hits Rhino we hear a familiar whistle blow as Van Dam’s biggest supporter BILL ALFONSO has made his way to ringside much to the delight of the ECW fans.

The two continue to throw everything at each other both inside the ring, then outside and then back inside again. Neither man can really get an advantage as Rhino is one tough SOB, and RVD is looking more determined than he ever has before. At one point RVD begins to hammer forearm after forearm to Rhino, causing the TV Champ to back against the ropes… BUT RHINO MANAGES TO GRAB VAN DAM BY HIS TOP… AND QUICKLY TOSS HIM OUTSIDE THE RING!

Rhino immediately jumps outside the ring after his opponent but Van Dam immediately shrugs him off… before LANDING TWO SUPERKICKS STRAIGHT TO RHINO’S FACE! AMAZINGLY RHINO STAYS ON HIS FEET… SO RVD FOLLOWS UP WITH A SPINNING HEEL KICK WHICH DROPS THE CHAMPION!

A MEGA POP, perhaps the loudest in this thread’s history can be heard as Rhino falls to the floor. Sensing his chance RVD grabs a chair from ringside, folds it up… and waits for Rhino to get to his feet. Once Rhino staggers up… RVD THROWS THE CHAIR AT RHINO, DAMN NEAR THROWING IT THROUGH HIS HEAD AS RHINO DROPS AGAIN!

The “ECDUBBYA”, “ECDUBBYA”, “ECDUBBYA” chants ring out as Alfonso and whistle go mental as well. Realising he’s possibly one big move away from finishing things off, Van Dam now picks up the dazed Rhino, and puts him in a Front Face lock. Initially RVD LOOKS TO BE GOING FOR A SUPLEX… BUT HE DROPS RHINO FORWARDS… SENDING HIS MID SECTION CRASHING INTO THE CROWD BARRICADE!

Rhino remains draped over the crowd barricade as ‘The Whole Fuckin’ Show’ gives him a couple of lasting blows to the back before hopping up on the ring apron. Van Dam looks around at the audience who is CHEERING LIKE CRAZY knowing what’s about to come, but Van Dam says “nah dudes, not high enough” and climbs up to the top rope instead. Once at the top, Van Dam points to his shoulders as the crowd chants along “ROB…VAN…DAM” BEFORE LEAPING OFF THE TOP ROPE WITH A DISCUS LEG DROP… BUT RHINO MOVES… AND VAN DAM’S HAMSTRING BOUNCES OFF THE FUCKING CROWD BARRICADE!

The groans from the usually tough, extreme fans show just how sickening the collision is. Van Dam is rolling around on the floor in absolute agony, possibly injuring himself for the second time in a row when in the ring with Rhino. There are no stopping things though as the Terminator like Rhino is back up to his feet, heavy breathing and checking his mouth for blood, but ready to attack. Rhino starts by systematically stomping all over Van Dam’s body from head to toe.

Rhino looks down at the defenceless Van Dam and chuckles, yelling “THE WHOLE DAMN SHOW IS NO MATCH FOR THE BIG FUCKIN’ DEAL… SAY MY NAME… RHINO… RHINO…RHINO”! The intensity of Rhino is matched by the hatred of the fans as they boo the shit out of the ECW Television Champion. Rhino brings the battered Van Dam to his feet and rolls him back inside the ring. Once inside the ring, Rhino beats on Van Dam some more, before bringing him up… AND ALMOST SENDING HIM THROUGH THE MAT WITH A SPINNING SPINEBUSTER! RHINO HOOKS THE LEG…1…2…3!NO!RVD SHOOTS A SHOULDER OFF THE CANVAS!

Bill Alfonso looks as if he’s almost had a heart attack whilst Cyrus somewhat impressed with RVD’s resilience. Rhino puts his thumb across his throat signalling the end, before heading to the corner and crouching down. Rhino is sadistically waiting for Van Dam to get up, salivating at the thought of breaking RVD in half… RVD is forced to use the ropes to get to his feet…AND RHINO’S SET TO CHARGE ACROSS THE RING FOR THE GORE… BUT VAN DAM’S LEG GIVES OUT AND HE FALLS THROUGH THE ROPES AND TO THE OUTSIDE!

There’s almost a sickening feeling amongst some in the arena now as The Gore would have been a more suitable finish. The fact that RVD couldn’t keep his feet makes everybody believe something is seriously wrong here. Rhino sees this and just gets hungrier to cause violence as he heads outside the ring… AND PULLS OUT A TABLE FROM UNDERNEATH THE RING!

The champion has all the time in the world as he sets up the table leaning against the crowd barricade. Rhino now walks around the ring so Van Dam is in between Rhino and the table. ‘The Man Beast’ gets down on his haunches again, waiting, patiently… UNTIL RVD GETS TO HIS FEET…. AND RHINO CHARGES WITH THE GORE!!!

BUT RVD AVOIDS IT… AND RHINO GOES CRASHING THROUGH THE TABLE BY HIMSELF!

“RVD”, “RVD”, “RVD” chants echo throughout what sounds like the state of Florida as both men remain down on the floor. Despite being very ginger on his leg, Van Dam is the first to his feet (with the help of the ring apron), and he’s able to mount Rhino and hammer him with unprotected right hands. Once Van Dam gets up he’s forced to pull a piece of wood out of his knuckle but that’s a little price to pay.

‘The Whole Fuckin’ Show’ brings the dead weight of Rhino up and rolls him back inside the ring. Van Dam follows in, noticing Rhino is on his back pretty close the corner… ALLOWS VAN DAM TO CHARGE… JUMP UP TO THE TOP ROPE… AND COME DOWN WITH A SPLIT LEGGED MOONSAULT! VAN DAM MAKES THE LATERAL PRESS…1…2…3! NO! RHINO MANAGES TO GET A SHOULDER UP!

Once Rhino gets a shoulder up, Van Dam stops for a moment or two, really feeling the effects of the match so far. He then digs really deep, heaving the dead weight of the champion up, and quickly dropping him with a Scoop Slam in the middle of the ring. RVD NOW HEADS TO THE TOP ROPE AGAIN… LOOKING AROUND THE ARENA… SETTING UP FOR THE FIVE STAR FROG SPLASH…

WHEN OUT OF THE CORNER OF HIS EYE…

HE SEES CYRUS COME FROM BEHIND AND PUSH BILL ALFONSO FACE FIRST INTO THE RING POST!

The heat from the audience is ludicrous and it only gets worst, as this distracts RVD… AND ALLOWS RHINO TO SHAKE THE ROPES, CAUSING VAN DAM TO LAND BALLS FIRST ON THE TOP TURNBUCKLE!

“FAGGOT”, “FAGGOT”, “FAGGOT” chants ring out at Cyrus as Rhino slowly makes his way up to the top rope to meet Van Dam. He hits him with a few right hands to soften him up further, not that it was really necessary. Rhino then gets RVD into position… AND THROWS HIM OFF THE TOP ROPE WITH A BELLY TO BELLY SUPLEX! WITH A NEW SHOT OF ADRENALINE, RHINO SCURRIES TO HOOK THE LEG…

    1…

    2…

    3!

    NO!

RVD JUST GETS A SHOULDER UP!

The fans POP FOR THE MILLIONTH TIME TONIGHT as Rhino gets up and looks as if he’s pulling his own hair out. Rhino looks over at Cyrus and yells “SET UP THE TABLE, I’M GONNA’ FINISH THIS”! Cyrus hurries underneath the ring and pulls out a table and begins setting it up on the outside of the ring. As this is happening, Rhino bullies Van Dam into the corner, and just beats the shit out of him for a minute or so.

Once Cyrus has finished setting up the table, Rhino steps onto the ring apron, dragging Van Dam by the hair through the ropes and onto the apron with him. RHINO THEN PUTS VAN DAM IN POSITION FOR A PILEDRIVER… WITH RHINO FACING THE TABLE… HOWEVER WHEN RHINO LIFTS RVD FOR THE PILEDRIVER… VAN DAM KICKS HIS LEGS… FIGHTING IT LIKE CRAZY… AND ACTUALLY REVERSES INTO A BACK BODY DROP… SENDING RHINO RIGHT THROUGH THE FUCKING TABLE!

RHINO CRASHES THROUGH A TABLE FOR THE SECOND TIME IN THIS MATCH!

RVD is on his hands and knees, heavy breathing, barely conscious, as he looks at the broken body of Rhino, surrounded by broken pieces of wood. The fans are up and about again with those passionate “ECDUBBYA”, “ECDUBBYA”, “ECDUBBYA” chants filling the arena, as Rhino shockingly ROLLS OVER… STILL NOT COMPLETELY LIFELESS!

Van Dam sees this and immediately jumps off the apron, grabbing Rhino and rolling him back inside the ring. Van Dam grabs the steel chair he used earlier and slides back into the ring with it, before teeing off like a baseball player… SMASHING RHINO WITH ONE SHOT, TWO SHOTS, THREE SHOTS… TEN FUCKING BODY SHOTS WITH THE STEEL CHAIR!

RVD THEN USES THE CHAIR AND SMASHES INTO RHINO’S FACE WITH A DISCUS LEG DROP… RVD MAKES THE COVER…

    1…

    2…

    3!

WE HAVE A NEW TELEVISION CHAMPION…

    NO!

RHINO JUST, JUST GOT A SHOULDER UP!

Nobody in the arena can believe that Rhino still had the strength to respond to that onslaught. The “ROB VAN DAM”, “ROB VAN DAM”, “ROB VAN DAM” chants are just getting louder though, as everybody in the arena thinks a victory for RVD is imminent. Van Dam grabs Rhino… and drags him across to the corner, leaving him in a seated position against the ropes…

RVD then places the steel chair in front of the face of Rhino…

Before walking all the way to the other side of the ring, possibly setting up for the Van Terminator…

VAN DAM IS UP ON THE TOP ROPE…

NOT ONE FAN IS ON THEIR SEAT…

    WE’RE ABOUT TO WITNESS HISTORY…

RVD IS ABOUT TO GET REDEMPTION…

WHEN JACK VICTORY, SCOTTY ANTON AND STEVE CORINO SPRINT DOWN THE RAMP…

AND ALL THREE OF THEM PUSH VAN DAM OFF THE TOP SENDING HIM TUMBLING TO THE CANVAS!

SO THE REFEREE, WHO IS NETWORK OFFICIAL DANNY DANIELS, HAS 'NO OPTION'… BUT TO CALL FOR THE DISQUALIFICATION!

Winner – Rob Van Dam (DQ); Rhino retains the ECW Television Championship @ 10:38

After the match the fans ERUPT IN VOLCANIC HEAT yet again, as Cyrus calls the shots, directing CORINO, VICTORY AND ANTON TO BEAT THE SHIT OUT OF AN ALREADY BEATEN RVD… AND THAT’S EXACTLY WHAT THEY DO!

The three continue on the attack, only to stop for a moment to help Rhino up… AND THEN ALL FOUR OF THEM BEGIN STOMPING THE LIFE OUT OF RVD!

The fans mood picks up with an EXTREME POP though as KID KASH HOBBLES DOWN THE RAMP!

KASH ROLLS INTO THE RING AND IMMEDIATELY DROPS JACK VICTORY WITH A RIGHT HAND!

HE THEN DOES THE EXACT SAME THING TO ANTON…

ONLY TO TURN INTO AN OLD SCHOOL KICK FROM STEVE CORINO!

The atmosphere is immediately drained from the arena as Van Dam remains down, and now Kash is copping a beating as well from the four members of The Network.

As the numbers advantage continues to dominate… CYRUS HEADS OUTSIDE THE RING… AND PULLS OUT YET ANOTHER TABLE!

Cyrus slides the table inside the ring and Rhino sets it up, before bringing himself and Kash onto the table… ONCE ON THETABLE… RHINO RIPS OFF KK’S NECK BRACE… AND PILEDRIVES HIM RIGHT THROUGH THE FUCKING TABLE!

Kid Kash could damn well be paralysed as an initial pop followed by murmurs can be heard from the crowd, as they wonder if KK will ever be able to recover.

Anton then kicks Kash out of the ring… and it once again becomes a four on one assault on Van Dam.

The Network members continue to really just pummel him with punches and kicks, not allowing him any breathing space…

UNTIL JERRY LYNN SLIDES INTO THE RING!

The man who hates Rob Van Dam more than anybody else on this earth is actually out here to help him…

Well, sort of. As soon as Lynn slides into the ring, he’s SWARMED BY THE QUARTET… WHO COMPLETELY FORGET ABOUT VAN DAM BECAUSE HE CAN’T MOVE ANYWAY!

The four begin trying to wear down Lynn as well when…

    ***ENTER THE SANDMAN***

The EPIC rock tune from Metallica and a commotion in the crowd… signals the arrival of THE SANDMAN!

The fans MARK THE FUCK OUT YET AGAIN… As there’s a commotion in the audience… AS THE SANDMAN SPRINTS THROUGH THE FANS AND HOPS OVER THE CROWD BARRICADE!

The Sandman doesn’t come alone either as he has his Singapore Cane… AND IMMEDIATELY CRACKS SCOTTY ANTON WITH THE SINGAPORE CANE!

HE THEN SMASHES JACK VICTORY OVER THE HEAD WITH THE CANE!

    AND STEVE CORINO…

    AND RHINO!

THE SANDMAN IS CLEANING THE HOUSE WITH THE SINGAPORE CANE!

The Sandman raises the bent Singapore Cane above his head… as Jerry Lynn begins making his way to his feet as well.

RHINO GETS BACK UP… TREMBLING WITH ANGER… AND SPRINTS STRAIGHT INTO ANOTHER SINGAPORE CANE SHOT WHICH SENDS HIM FLYING OUT THROUGH THE MIDDLE ROPE!

‘The King Of Old School’, Steve Corino is using the ropes to get back up… AND JERRY LYNN CLOTHESLINES CORINO OVER THE TOP ROPE AND OUT TO THE FLOOR!

For the numerous time tonight, THERE’S NOT A SINGLE FAN ON THEIR SEAT…

AS THE SANDMAN LANDS A WHITE RUSSIAN LEG SWEEP WITH THE HELP OF THE SINGAPORE CANE TO SCOTTY ANTON!

JERRY LYNN THROWS VICTORY OVER THE TOP ROPE AND OUT TO THE FLOOR!

The Sandman then begins checking on Van Dam who’s slowly stirring…

As Jerry Lynn drags Anton into the corner… and places a steel chair in front of his face…

The Sandman helps Van Dam up, who’s in extreme agony, but Sandman points over to Anton, placed perfectly into the corner…

AND RVD SHOOTS UP TO THE OPPOSITE TOP ROPE…

    SURVEYS THE AUDIENCE…

AND LEAPS OFF… LANDING A FUCKING VAN TERMINATOR ON SCOTTY ANTON!

Van Dam takes a moment or two to get up, but when he does he thanks Sandman and gives him a pat on the back…

RVD AND LYNN THEN COME NOSE TO NOSE…

Until RVD takes a step back, and gives Lynn a respectful nod which Lynn doesn’t really acknowledge…

But The Network is all spread out on the outside of the ring…

Not wanting any part of the faces…

Who begin checking on Kid Kash…

As “ECDUBBYA”, “ECDUBBYA”, “ECDUBBYA” chants ring out one last time to end the show, a chaotic scene upon us.

Re: Extreme Championship Wrestling by Stojy

This is absolutely the biggest episode of ECW yet, and it starts off feeling that way with the brawl between Anderson and Dreamer. I honestly forgot about Team Me working with CW, and having Doring and Roadkill come out to join Dreamer is great. I'm really looking forward to seeing what happens between these guys, assuming there may be a 6-man tag in the future, but the real singles match is going to be a great match.

Immediately from a hot segment, to a great promo. You write RVD very well, and I felt pretty pumped from this promo of his. It's simple and hypes the crowd well.

It was obvious early on that Psicosis wasn't exactly a fan of The Unholy Alliance, which is unfortunate because they're fantastic. The start with Mamaluke's thick Italian accent coming through was very entertaining and made it feel fun to start. FBI getting the win, I'm quite excited for seeing them finally have to go head-to-head with the Unholy Alliance and see what happens there, and I wonder what will come from Psicosis flipping off the Alliance. It's a decent way of building up that midcard a bit, but I feel like there's quite a few heels in that midcard area. Curious to see the result of it all, and see The Alliance move forward.

Looks like the 8-25 and 8-26 episodes will be HOT, and honestly, I am excited for them. The Network cutting off Styles is a great way of getting heat and was pretty interesting, though heavily foreshadowed there.

Credible's journey into a tweener and potentially upcoming face turn has been fun to watch unfold. Cyrus is very manipulative, and I have to wonder if the title will be changing hands in the three-way and Credible may then go after Rhino's title, or if Credible can overcome the odds and maybe defy the Network.

This series between Credible and Kash has been fantastic, and I'm really liking the tenacity from Kash. I've said before I'm a big fan of Kash and I think this build up for him has been great. I am curious to see where this goes, though. I never expected Kash to win, but with how The Network, and Rhino specifically, are making enemies left and right, I'm looking forward to finding out the pay-off. Both Credible and Kash have reason to be angry with Rhino, you've definitely built Rhino to be a fantastic force.

After the commercial, we get another tease of Credible joining The Network. I have to wonder how long this tease will go, and if Credible is going to actually join or if he'll refuse and get into a massive storyline with Rhino. It definitely makes me excited for what's coming up.

That main event was pretty damn great. It's interesting to see the TV Title go on after the World title, but it really elevates the title and was really worth it. I am a bit concerned about how RVD back body dropped Rhino from the apron through a table set up for a piledriver, but it was a cool spot. The heat for ending a match in disqualification after chairs and tables have been used would be insane, and definitely makes The Network into the biggest bad guys in the business.

As for post-match, I wonder if Kash will be alright for the 8-25/8-26 shows coming up real fast considering the effects of the piledriver on his neck. The entrance of Sandman in this whole quartet was great as well, and the differences between RVD and Lynn were well placed. It certainly feels like the build up to those tag tournament matches and that triple threat is really getting huge. I can't wait for these shows.

Overall, I'm very hyped up for those upcoming shows and the build up of the tag teams and the stories of The Network against the world it seems. I feel like the midcard is starting to build a little more here, and I'm getting intrigued. Honestly, with this show being match heavy, it really drove some big storylines and I'm sure it'll get better from here. I'm somewhat hoping to see some clean wins for some heels going forward, I feel the Network and all is great, but I'd like to see a heel get that legitimate win so I can feel them being a real threat on their own and then make them feel larger with their back-up. I think it could build up that moment for the face to get their eventual win to be amazing. Though, with The Network's constant involvement, it definitely makes it feel like the deck is always stacked against everyone and it's going to be insane for someone to get that big win finally.

So, great show. I'm very, very excited for what comes up next.

Wild start and Finish. It's fitting for ECW. I also enjoyed the Cyrus segment with Justin Credible. He made compelling points and Justin couldn't deny it. It also helps extends his title reign. RVD wins the match but didn't regain the title. Smart booking and it sounds going to make rhino's loss later down the the line even more special.
