Everyone's list so far has at least 1 (usually more) album that no one else has, so the final listing will be interesting, to say the least.

Also, the due date is tomorrow morning so we can hopefully get it started sometime early-ish in the day.

Sad I missed out on Blonde by Frank Ocean, that one was great too.

Looking at that wiki page there's ALOT of great albums from bands I'm into that were released this year that I had no idea about. Soilwork, Alter Bridge, Tremonti, Devin Townsend, Deftones, KSE, among others.

Gore by Deftones was excellent and is on my list.

Yeah Gore really stood out to me, I've been listening to a bunch of 2016 albums this morning and that ones the star of the group so far.

Alright, we have just hit the deadline. It looks like everyone who planned on sending a list did so I'll start this up soon; I just have to add in these few last minute lists

Re: WC's Fave Five Albums of 2016

I'll try not to. The last two lists sent in actually shook up the standings a bit.

Thanks to everyone who bothered to send a list, there was a total of 48 different albums/mixtapes/EPs submitted.

I'm going to post the first group here soon.

Re: WC's Fave Five Albums of 2016

There were nine different point totals, so I'm just going to do this 1-9 and probably be posting at least 6-9 in one day each because of how big the list really is and I don't want to drag this out for too long.

    So let's get going

    9T. The Weeknd - Starboy - 10 points (Cocksatron #5)

    9T. Sturgill Simpson - A Sailor's Guide to Earth - 10 points (Fuji Vice #5)

    9T. Tove Lo - Lady Wood - 10 points (Silk #5)

    9T. Vic Mensa - There's Alot Going On - 10 points (Luke Cage #5)

Pretty good batch to get us going, I'll post the rest of the albums that tied for 9th later today.

Starboy would have made my list if I didn't spend the day listening to 2016 albums I'd missed.

Hell yeah, my number five got some love.

That Vic Mensa album is fine. I think it starts really strong. The rest of the albums i haven't heard.

I'm interested to hear which track you pick for each of the ones I listed.

I found Starboy to be disappointing except for the title track

As for Vic Mensah. I was pretty down on him and he reflects that he was down on himself till that point too but this is pretty much a very candid and honest turnaround for him. The title track is pretty hreat and really feels like album's main event at the end. I always have to turn down 16 shots when Ive got the album blasting at work and cops come in to buy coffee e_e.

As a whole Innanetape > There's Alot Going on TBH.

With that being said, There's Alot Going on has more substance.
