I didn't think it was going to rank as high as this, but in comparing this week's Murphy/Cedric match to the others, it felt quite right taking the #5 spot. And with that, this changes the Best Possible Match to a fourway between Roddy, Ali, Cedric and Murphy. Which I guess technically isn't possible if Roddy's not coming back, but still...

Where do we rate Murphy/Cedric among the 205 Live reboot matches?

I think Ced/Roddy is still #1 for the year, but after that I think I'd have this week's main event at #2. I would have it over the Ali/Buddy match for sure.

Who do people want to see for the next challenger to Alexander? I want Gulak but I think they'll go with Itami first seeing as though Gulak is still early into this feud with the lucha house party.

Buddy Murphy's on fire. Possibly a controversial opinion, but I'd rank his match this week higher than Murphy/Cedric, which already gets knocked out of my Top Five as Murphy/Ali III takes the #3 spot, directly behind Murphy/Ali II and possibly would've overtaken if not for a disappointing finish. Definitely the best pairing they've 205 Live has had.

Cedric gets knocked out of the Best Possible Match to make it a Roddy/Ali/Murphy threeway, which I'd call an improvement.

Re: WWE 205 Live General Discussion Thread

The ending hurts it a little too much for me to say it's better than last week, but that's really the only knock against it. That match went fucking crazy towards the end. Buddy Murphy always seems to do something in a match that I've never seen before, it's like his moveset is constantly evolving. I did spot a cheeky nandos kick of Ospreay's this week.

Something that just hit me when you mentioned Roddy Strong still in your best possible match scenario, all of the Undisputed Era could probably pass for 205 pounds. I'm sure Trips is gonna keep them all down there another year yet, and with Adam Cole's popularity they might not go the 205 option with it, but I'm not ruling it out.

As I've always said, I'm all for having 205 Live open to occasional guest spots from workers of all weights.

I think anyone from FutureDRagon RushmorERA vs. Ali/Murphy/Hideo is potential gold.

I think we both know it'd most likely be the ever-presents LUCHA HOUSE PARTY that would get that opponent gig.

Gotta give it to Lucha House Party, they do have a good attendance record. Since the 205 Live reboot, they've had some high-quantity matches.

Re: WWE 205 Live General Discussion Thread

WHEN they move to tapings (GODDAMMIT DO IT) I've too thought about Undisputed Era. Especially since the main roster hates any team or stable that comes from NXT (>_>) might as well move em laterally.

Binge watched so many 205 episodes recently after not watching it at all.

Great to see some character development with the likes of TJP, Buddy Murphy, Lucha House Party & Lio Rush to go with the entertaining matches.

Fatal Five Way from a couple of weeks ago was so good.

Mike Kannelis has been pretty vocal about WWE simply not caring about the 205 product or its roster.

    It was on his twitter.

    I agree with him.

They put on the best wrestling product and their shows are easy to digest.

    It smokes Smackdown and RAW

    He
Vayne, Fuji, Grim, Booty,Shock, Rainskaker, Nat, Hoho and Lghikas are the best!!!!!!!!!!

    I haven't watched 205 in so long.

Kind of intrigued again though because I'm hearing that Chad Gable has moved across?

Please watch it again. They had one of the best Shows of the Year I feel and yes Gable made his debut this week vs Gallagher and had one heck of a Match with him. It's interesting Mike and Maria said that about 205 Live and the WWE and now they resigned with them for five more years.

Really? Oh I need to check it out then dude!

They've resigned have they? That's good. I wonder if that's because AEW showed no signs of taking them though? They did appear to be flirting with the idea of leaving.

Re: WWE 205 Live General Discussion Thread

posting to say the #1 contenders fatal fourway between Gulak vs Lorcan vs Tozawa vs Carillo the other week was GREAT. Everyone was on fire and did what they are best at. Final 5 minutes or so got pretty mad. I am now excited to see a match with freaking Tony Nese just because Gulak and Tozawa (the former especially) was so good in it.
