Today marks the beginning of my favorite time of the year: College Football!
Here are the big matchups for Week 1:
South Carolina @ Vanderbilt
Oregon State @ Minnesota
Kansas State @ Stanford
#13 Oklahoma @ #15 Houston
#16 UCLA @ Texas A&M
LSU @ Wisconsin
#18 Georgia @ #22 North Carolina
BYU @ Arizona
#20 USC @ #1 Alabama
#2 Clemson @ Auburn
#10 Notre Dame @ Texas
#11 Ole Miss @ #4 Florida State
There's a lot of big matchups to watch to kick off the season.
I'm a bit nervous about Alabama's quarterback and running back situation. I know our defense will be good, as well as our offensive line since Cam Robinson wasn't charged with a felony over what happened recently. If we can get both the quarterback and running back thing situated, I say we're be a good team. Right now, that's yet to be determined.
I've been hearing a lot about LSU winning the SEC West, but I don't see it happen. They are in the same situation Alabama's in with the quarterback situation. The SEC West in my opinion, is gonna be very competitive, which has been nearly every season. Who knows who will survive after everything is said and done.
Clemson vs. Auburn will definitely be an interesting matchup to watch. Auburn last season was a mess. They had no defense, Gus Malzahn chose Jeremy Johnson to start as quarterback, which had bad results. That was last year and this is a brand new season for Auburn. Their defense will be much better than last season, Malzahn chose Sean White as quarterback, which he really picked up the slack before he got hurt toward the end of the season.
Clemson on the other hand, they lost key defensive players to the NFL, which may hurt their defense a little. But the offense, DeShaun Watson's obviously their bread and butter. Their offense's gonna be a beast. Nobody wad able to stop them from scoring, Alabama had a hard time as well. This game is a must-watch if you're a hardcore CFB fan.
Ole Miss vs. Florida State on Monday night will be another game to look forward too. It's really hard to determine who will be the victor in the matchup. Ole Miss' got quarterback Chad Kelly back, but at the same time, Ole Miss lost their offensive lineman Laremy Tunsil and defensive linemen to the NFL.
For Florida State, I haven't heard much about them, but I know they'll show up and give Ole Miss hell. It should be a brutal matchup.
So anyways, let's get the discussions started.
