Either you get them in and implode quicker or you spend the money elsewhere IMO. It is what it is. I have no doubt the schemes were to benefit Murray International... but they were also used to benefit Rangers, obviously.

LNS was an inquiry that was based on the premise that Rangers were not committing any wrongdoing with how they were using EBTs. It was based on earlier verdicts that Rangers were not bending the rules regarding Tax and EBTs. That has now been changed. The findings are now worthless. Clearly, the Supreme Court and HMRC disagree about Rangers using EBTs to pay monies on a contractual basis otherwise we wouldn't be at this stage. After all, the whole point of their case was that the EBT money being paid were earnings.

Was waiting for the Tour of Japan and Phil's death to come up. Those two things are exactly the same as this The season was scheduled to end at the exact same time regardless of Celtic's "Tour of Japan" or not... so I don't see what your problem is. Isn't it possible Rangers wanted a sporting advantage by having the season extended and less fixture congestion? After a season, in which, they already had games postponed to help their Champions League run whilst other teams in Europe didn't get such luxury? As for Phil, you are genuinely out of your mind if you think Celtic used his death to gain a sporting advantage. The game with Motherwell was cancelled for obvious reasons. The game with your lot was called off as a mark of respect and was a mutual agreement from both sides. Rangers could have said no. Walter didn't have to agree to it. Thought you'd be better than to bring up Phil tbh. You want to bring up fixture congestion that year, I suggest you look at the weeks your team had available to rearrange matches and ignored those chances. Multiple factors were at play that season.

As for rules you broke? Well, clearly, you are basing your entire opinion off of LNS. LNS might have stated that you didn't break any SFA/SPFL rules - but that was on the understand that Rangers had not committed any unlawful acts. They, now, have been found to have done so. And not to mention the fact you obviously broke rules regarding tax otherwise you wouldn't have found yourself in court in the first place.

Even Dave King said that if you were found guilty, originally, then it was likely you had some sort of advantage. It's amazing his mind has changed though

We're obviously going to go in circles but let's just have Celtic stripped of the league title they won in 2008 and Rangers can give back the 14 trophies they won as well and we'll all be happy.
Firstly, Celtic absolutely used Phil O'Donnell's death to their advantage.

You don't know what advantage we had or what rules we broke but you're sure we did is the long and short of your argument.

Prove it? You wouldn't be saying that if Celtic didn't win the league that year. How did Celtic gain an advantage? By postponing a game that they would play within the confines of the regular season anyway? Any advantage gained would have become a disadvantage later because of fixture congestion. Surely Rangers and Motherwell and others must be apprehended for this monstrosity also?

The advantage you had is a financial one in that you paid less than what you should have for certain players. Players who may not have joined you if the EBTs were used in the correct manner. Players that won you trophies and kept you ahead of others on the pitch. Next time, pay your taxes and use EBTs correctly and we'll avoid this whole debate.
