    England U20's, world cup champions.

Hopefully some of this generation has the foresight not to rot away in big team reserves and will go out and play domestic football in the coming seasons. The future looks bright.

Well Solanke has taken a step by leaving Chelsea...not sure he'll see too much game time at Liverpool, but he's got more chance of playing there rather than Chelsea.

Dunno what that Scottish commentator was on in the England game, wanking over those Griffiths freekicks. Neither of them were even close to the post let alone in the top or bottom corner. As suggested above, both very saveable.

Everyone having a go at Hart, I think it's fair to think he should have saved one of the free kicks but people are ignoring that Gordon dropped the biggest clanger of the match by letting the Ox's goal in. Could argue he should do better on both goals too really.

    And he scores goals...!

True but people expect higher quality from hart, I dont though I think he is an averge gk who happen to play for a good team who won the league. He is the equivilant of Romero in my opinion.

    Re: General Football Discussion 2016-17

His positioning was bad, I'll give it that but they were two very well hit free kicks. I think it's fair the Scottish commentator went bananas; when was the last time Scotland won a big match? Caught up in the moment. Kane's finish was very good as well, I feel that slipped under the radar.

klopp highly prefers forwards who can play from deep, and from the limited sample size we can see from his loan and with england, solanke seems to fit the bill.

Hart should of saved one to be fair, but i agree Ox 's goal should of been saved too.

Kane with probably the best finish from someone in an England shirt for sometime.

Anyways Hart is dropped for the france match, with Tom heaten being drawn in.

Heaton gets a half, so does Butland. Hart will probably be dropped longer term the way it's going anyway.

The Premier League fixtures for the 2017-18 season have been announced. Arsenal play Leicester on the opening day of the season. I like our fixture list. A good start to the season would be nice.

PREMIER LEAGUE - OPENING FIXTURES ON AUGUST 12

    Arsenal v Leicester City
    Brighton v Manchester City
    Chelsea v Burnley
    Crystal Palace v Huddersfield Town
    Everton v Stoke City
Manchester United v West Ham United
    Newcastle United v Tottenham
    Southampton v Swansea City
    Watford v Liverpool
    West Bromwich Albion v Bournemouth
*Please note that fixtures are subject to alteration once Sky Sports and BT Sport make their choice of televised matches*

Newvastle vs Tottenham. Ohh will there be revenge for that 5-1 battering they received. It wouldn't shock me is sissoko turned up.

The utd fixtures are easy for the first 5 games based on the current squads but that can change and way doesn't mean a lot in football. We will probably draw a few ou of habit and get into the season around September

So Celtic might be playing Linfield in CL Qualifiers. First leg in Ireland on July 12th possible. Cannot see any issues with this whatsoever. No sectarian issues to see here. Certainly not on the day where many celebrate the Battle of the Boyne.

Aye looks like it'll be on the 11th with a KO time of 5pm.

Not that it makes much difference since it's still orange walk season Police probably can't be fucked with this. Big crowd potential at Windsor Park too.

    Re: General Football Discussion 2016-17

Not seen any official confirmation yet (since we don't know if Linfield will get through) but reckon they could switch the order of the ties? Or they might just have both games played at neutral venues or ban away fans from attending? Idk. Might just go ahead as normal, I'm sure UEFA won't care too much.
