Yeah such a shame but maybe being United manager wasn't just the right time I still hope he is in the future, such a disappointment to see him go, I don't think he would of been a bad assistant to José because of his knowledge etc, but time will tell to see if that was the right decision.

I support his desicion about not accepting a lower manager role, I mean why should he? that's just going backwards and that's totally insane.

I really hope Ryan gets his chance to go into mangment of a "smaller" team just to give him some more insight and experience he defently has the calluber to do it, would love to see him taking over the reigns full time at United one day as he defently didn't do bad as interim manager after Moyes was sacked.

Messi sentenced to 21 months in prison for Tax evasion but apparently won't actually serve any prison time.

Very sad to see him leave, but I think it always had to happen for him to get into management. It was always unlikely that he'd get the full time United job right off the bat. As far as I'm aware, Mourinho did offer him a role in his backroom staff (coaching the strikers if I remember correctly), but Giggs himself didn't want to go backwards from being assistant manager.
I'd have liked to have seen him manage the reserves (or the U21's as it is now), though Warren Joyce is doing a top job with them, before eventually becoming the first team manager down the line.

I'm sure Giggs will get the chance to manage elsewhere first, hone his craft at another team before he gets the United job down the line, possibly after Mourinho leaves.

    Embarrassing though.

Least Ronaldo pays his taxes, anyway back onto the subject I did here that "Jail" sentences in Spain automatically get "suspended" if under two years I don't know how legit that is and if it's down to how serious the crime is or not.

Either way, he should be punished, a role model for millions of fans being found guilty of tax evasion and he responded "I didn't know anything about my finances at the time , i was just playing football" what a load of bullsh*t that excuse doesn't wash with me, seems like one rule for the rich one for the other people in the world we live in.

4 TV games for us? Blimey.

Also, looks like Big Sam is going to have his talks about the England job shortly, left our training in Austria to go back to the UK.

Going to be disappointed if he leaves.

I'd cash in on him now before you sack him in September.

With all due respect Big Sam is a great Premier league survival manager, I mean look at his record of never been relegated (confident that statement is true)
but that's it, he's never an international side manager and someone as damaged as England, get real.

I would have no problem with him as England manager. There's hardly a queue of top tier managers lining up and at least he would play players in their positions and instill some passion in them. If it was just for two years I see no problem with it to be honest.

Nice to see Brendan Rogers is keeping up appearances of being awful, Pre season or not loosing to a semi professional team is unforgivable, I mean he will probably turn it around when the season gets going but it doesn't really give the Celtic fans much confidence to take forward.

eh, most of us don't really blame the loss on Brendan and blame it on the players. tactics were a bit shite during the game but alot of the players looked unfit and just plain shite anyway.

embarrassing defeat, yes, likely to mean anything at all in future? Not unless we end up eliminated.

What an embarrassing defeat for Celtic They'll bounce back and win the 2nd leg.

I hope Big Sam remains at Sunderland, don't want him as England manager. No international experience or managing at a higher level. Sam is good at managing mid-table teams and keeping teams up. Steve Bruce would be a poor appointment. Big Sam is likely to get the job but I hope Hoddle or Klinsmann become the next England manager.

David Moyes is once again a strong favourite if Big Sam leaves and i'd be all for Moyes, Utd wasn't the right time for him but could do good things with us and bring us up like he did with Everton.
