Looks like people don't bother to check the thread to see who was already picked. That's three times now someone has picked someone who was already drafted.

Crock you got a guaranteed no pointer.

Coentrao wasn't picked by Portugal due to injury.

Am picking now, just had to make sure my roster formation prohibits me from taking the greatest (Hoolahan).

Done. And with time to spare! Good drafting guys, no major hiccups and done in plenty of time.

I'll get a preview up either tomorrow or Thursday, and a table with standings, etc.

Re: Euro 2016 - Fantrax-Style 7-a-Side Fantasy League: Discussion Thread

    Preview:

    Dmac:

He had a bit of a mare with the draft, jumping the gun to take Rooney and picking Bale who had already been taken, if I wasn't such a lovely fellow I might have punished him for being a retard twice in a row.

Strong on paper with 2 Frenchmen and 2 Germans.

Looks a safe bet to make it through to the knockout stages, as do the vast majority of his players, which could be key going forward.

    Spoiler:

    Ed:

Classic draft by a fan of team managed by Pulis, stick one fucker up there and then pack out the defence.

Got his standard #1 place in the draft and took advantage of it, taking the only real stand out player in the tournament in Ronaldo.

A very astute draft, with almost all of his players looking nailed on for at least a Quarter-Final spot. Possible a bit bottom heavy, with Ronaldo carrying the team in an attacking sense.

    Spoiler:

    PS:

Looks pretty strong throughout, and Griezmann, Ramsey and Yarmolenko provide some serious firepower on top of what looks a good and varied defence. Here's to hoping the **** doesn't fluke his way to a win in this as well.

    Spoiler:

    Jon:

I don't really know what to make of this draft. In Lukaku and Giroud it seems like he has the Number 9s from two of the favourites, Belgium and France.

The rest of the team doesn't scream points, but Alaba is a great darkhorse pick to be a big point scorer. His normally unwavering bias towards Belgium doesn't shine through here.

Definitely not the worst draft I've ever seen, "you do know something, Jon Snow".

    Spoiler:

    Mr Blonde:

Went under the radar but looks brilliant on paper. 7 Players from teams that should reach the latter stages, and almost all are key players in those teams.

I don't think I was the only one at the beginning who thought Blonde would be one of those to fall in the Group Stages, but now I would be shocked if he didn't make it through.

    Spoiler:

    Nash:

    也许是最好的草案。我他妈的希望他不赢

    Spoiler:

    Mikk:

A pretty mixed bag from our resident pun expert. Not a lot of long-term thought but Ibra and Payet could see him safely through to the next round where he will probably be slaughtered.

Its a shame that these new names weren't chosen from these teams, it is just crying out for a classic like Dimitri Mikk, or Zlatan Ibrahimovimikk.

    Spoiler:

    Crock:

After 4 picks he was looking like the only dead cert to make it through, and his front two are scarily good. Bale and Lewandowski are two of the top 5/10 players in the tournament probably, but neither are guarantees to make it beyond the Round of 16.

Coentrao went under everybody's radar, I'm guessing that was because he isn't in the squad, but perhaps he will be a slow burner.

Either him or Order has had a mare with their GK.

Should still make it to the next round, despite only having potentially 4 nailed on starters.

    Spoiler:

    Simmo:

Clearly the best team of the lot, not sure what the point is of you lot turning up at all. He's nabbed himself the 7 best players in the competition and in Milik has a 60-goal-a-season striker.

    Spoiler:

    Zero:

Seems to have stumbled across quite a dangerous side. Defence and GK don't look like big scorers, but the front 5 look very good indeed. I hope he makes it through because I like him and I was sad when he got relegated in our Fantrax Premier League, but gut instinct says he might just miss the cut.

Nani in the 7th is possibly the pick of the final round, very dangerous player.

    Spoiler:

    Order:

Probably got the hookup on who to pick through his contacts at the Daily Star. Half-expected him to draft Neymar as I'm sure at some point this year they have run a story about Spain signing him.

Looks like a solid draft, although Azpilicueta isn't guaranteed game time, and Sigurdsson and Mandzukic might not make it very far in the tournament.

Either he or Crock has had a mare with their GK.

Did genuinely want to get De Bruyne, Hazard, Lukaku but I clearly overestimated Lukaku's worth to you guys, and underestimated Hazard's worth. If I could go at it again, I'd get De Bruyne and then get Lukaku, I think if not for Order, Hazard may have also dropped to me but that's never certain. Sad my bias couldn't shine through but I'll still be cheering for the boys in red.

I'm not confident at all in my team but I though I would take risks. Who knows it might pay off. Going to be cheering Iceland and Croatia on to have a shock run in the tournament that's for sure. Praying for a Casillas injury so De Gea starts after discovering the Spanish are retards and don't play the best keeper in the world

That would be pretty hard considering Neurer is German.

I was reading something earlier where Del Bosque has apparently said he hasn't made his mind up with the keepers yet but with Casillas getting the number one shirt I would say he is the favourite.

Would love to join in with a team of scraps but don't think it would go down well with the rest of the guys who signed up in time.

    Wouldn't bother me Syko.

Also, I think DDG will start personally. Presume #1 shirt is simply going to be Casillas' when he's in the squad. I think Spain work on the basis of when you have a number it's yours until you're dropped - Alba still wears #18, Ramos #15 etc.

    And he scores goals...!

Would also be fine with me if Syk wanted to pick 7 players no one wanted.
