    Group predictions

    1: Portugal
    2: Austria
    3: Iceland
    4: Hungary

Terrible group. Portugal won't win the tournament but Ronaldo could end up one of the top scorers as this is a poor group. He'll get at least 4-5 goals in the 1st round.

    1. Portugal
    2. Austria
    3. Iceland
    4. Hungary

Portugal should easily dispose of Iceland and Hungary but I think people are underestimating Austria and they will run Portugal close. They could be the dark horse of this year's tournament with Alaba, Arnautovic and the underated Junuzovic all supplying Janko.

Re: Euro 2016 Group F Discussion Thread

    my predictions for today.

    Austria 2-0 Hungary
    Portugal 3-0 Iceland

Ronaldo could be in business tonight as the draw of the whole group as been rather friendly to Portugal but anything can happen in football.

Confident in Iceland getting two? Suppose Finbogason, Sigurddson and Gudjohnsen do provide some sort of threat.

I think Iceland are underrated slightly. Did very well in qualifying on a good group and seem to be another team team rather than individuals in a team.

Portugal don't have the best defence and we got to have one high scoring game, right?

Not sure who to go with in the Austria-Hungary match. Not sure which team will be hungary-ier for the 3 points.

    I'm done here.

Re: Euro 2016 Group F Discussion Thread

    ^love it.

Portugal have Pepe and Alves, so would win against the Iceland strikers in a fight. But there's always Carvalho and Fonte if they decide not to play the nutters.

Austria/Hungary is a tough one. Could be really close but Austria might run away with it. Can't think of any Austria puns.

Re: Euro 2016 Group F Discussion Thread

I don't see Portugal a scoring three against Iceland. They're not that bad. Opening games have been very tight so far and I expect the same today. Having said that I'm going for narrow Austria and Portugal wins.

Re: Euro 2016 Group F Discussion Thread

Shocked at Austria tonight! but taking nothing from Hungary they deserved the win and Austria were second best after a cagey 30 minutes or so.

There was no way back into it after the red card and fair enough again to Hungary as it can be difficult to play against ten but they got over the line pinching another goal.

My predictions have been pretty poor up to now thank god I'm not putting real money on these scores.

AND the accumulator is done on the first game. Not betting on these any more

Probably the biggest surprise of the tournament so far. Hungary actually did really well though so shouldn't take anything away from them. Can see them getting out of the group now after that as a draw against either Portugal or Iceland should see them through with 4 points.

Thought Hungary were great and well deserved the win. That's opened Group F right up with Austria losing.

Always great to see my favourite player Zoltan Gera running the show.
