Yeah I was skeptical from the beginning when they signed him. He was good in SF but it was clear his best years were behind him. One World Series winning catch got him a lot more money than he's worth.

I used to play some organized football and baseball when I was younger, and I have no idea how someone can manage to break the belts athletes usually wear. In my experience, those belts are resilient.

What ever happened to him being in some of the best shape he had been in a long time a couple years ago? I swore he got into good shape right before going to Boston.

You hear that every year about people. Coming into spring training they were at home, able to diet and exercise on their own terms. Once you get on the road and travelling across the country your body is gonna break down and old habits creak in.

I meant his last season in SF. I thought he managed to stay in good shape all year and then lost it right after coming to Boston. I wouldn't be surprised if he just stayed in shape for one year so he could get signed in FA lol.

Expandaaah (Expander with a Mass accent) went 0-4 with 3 K's and an error. I think Shaw was sat today, because Dickey was pitching and they didn't want him to mess up his swing.

I'm not surprised in seeing the Braves winless, going after their fourth straight loss to start the 2016 season (It's 5-2 Cardinals btw). The pitchers just keep giving up runs, it's pathetic.

They've traded 93% of their team I'm pretty sure the coaches are playing at this point

    Pretty much.

I might as well call it now, that the Braves will have the worst record in the league when the season is said and done. We'd be lucky if we can get at least two victories against the Marlins in their next series.

Woah Phillies up 1-0 over the Mets, can they hold it to get their first win of the season with our Bullpen? God let them just get that first one, so they won't keep stressing.

Then he came to Boston where belts come to break. Remember when Lackey came to Boston?

Glad the Jays picked up the win today, would have hated to get swept by the BoSox so early in the season. Still, the bullpen is a bit of a concern so hopefully they right that ship soon.

Padres lose today but still take the series from the Rockies so that's a plus. Next up on the road trip is Philly, hopefully our bats can get going again like they did Friday and Saturday.

I had read rumors of the Padres looking at Pablo to trade James Shields for him, but nothing came of it that I know and honestly I'd rather keep Shields.

That rumor has been around for awhile. That's the "You take our bad contract, we'll take yours" deal. I'd keep Shields in Petco too, since it's a pitcher's park. He's got 4 years on Pablo and has a career 2-9 5.42 ERA at Fenway, so if that happens...time to abandon the Red Sox ship.

I'd actually rather have Shields then Pablo at this point. He has less years on his contract and well he doesn't break belts. TBH they are both the pits. What horrid contracts.

Phillies win again and they are on a three game winning streak. I really digging Hellickson, Nola and Velásquez are really doing well early on in the season. We've got the Nationals coming into Philly that should be a great match-up to see how far is the Phillies team in becoming a great team. Also Papa John returns to Philly, I wonder how people treat him this time around.

Yesterday is how it's supposed to be for the Red Sox. David Price 7 innings, 9K's 0BB's, Koji with a scoreless inning and then Kimbrell K's the side. Christian Vazquez coming back has been great and if the pitcher's think he's the reason for them pitching well, so be it. He's a long lost Molina brother and one of the better defensive catchers in the league. Lets hope everyone buys into it.
