There's a lot of anger that Captain Marvel got pushed back and that the first female led film is a co-starring movie. I'd still like to see Ms. Marvel over Captain Marvel (a female muslim super hero leading her own title would be absolutely amazing). I'm glad Wasp is co-leading. And I'm real happy Black Panther is coming sooner.

Re: Ant-Man and The Wasp (2018)

I'd rather they push Captain Marvel back that stick to the line-up as is and end up releasing a dud because they didn't work on it long enough. As for Ms. Marvel, she's a pretty new addition to the comics and is more street level (like Daredevil) so would probably be served better with her own Netflix/ABC show. Given how her powers and Danvers powers are connected though I would suspect that she's not likely to show up until they know how well Captain Marvel has connected with audiences.

As for this news I'm all for it; I'm not a massive fan of the Ant-Man film itself (it's my least favourite MCU film thus far) but it was good enough to keep me entertained and more Rudd and Lily is A-okay by me. That being said, do we know for certain this film is Scott and Hope, or will we be getting the story of Pym and Van Dyne doing their thing in the fifties? I know that article says that the updates confirm it, but I'd be very interested to read the actual press release. Michael Douglas has been pretty vocal about loving the idea of doing something more with the character's back story, and they opening scene of the film showed how well they can de-age him so it's not outside the realm of possibility they might be throwing this out there as a break from what is going to be a pretty long ass slog of an over-arcing story, running through every single other film coming out until Infinity War II.

She's in the All-New All-Different Avengers so she's definitely moving up the ladder in a Spiderman-ish way where she crosses the border from major to minor league villains - so she's now interacting with Captain America (albeit Falcon), Thor (femthor) and Iron Man (still Tony Stark from what I recall). The mainstream populace know neither Captain Marvel nor Ms. Marvel so I think it'd be a huge step for them to go with someone like Ms. Marvel.

I loved Ant-Man so I was stoked to see this announced, if it's as good as the Ant-Man film, I'll be satisfied, I don't expect anything more than that.

I guess we are going to get more omg moments in this film which I'm pretty hype for. I hope they didn't give away all those moments, but man if I was that situation it would suck to get killed by a Toy of Generation like a Power Ranger Toy or a huge ass Pokemon Card.

Looks like a lot of fun, wonder if it's set before or after Infinity War.

I would say it's taking part before Infinity War. I remember a scene where Rudd's characters is being told, the rest of the Crew had to go on the run after the events of Civil War. I wonder though how this wraps leading into Infinity War what brings him to join up again hmm.

I like Paul Rudd but that second trailer makes this look awful.

It’s weird because I found it entertaining enough when I saw it before Solo but watching it just now I feel the same way. Maybe the theatre environment just worked better for it? I’ll still be seeing this because I loved the first one but my expectations have lowered quite a bit.

It’ll still be better than Black Panther though.

I couldn't disagree more. I thought the first film was bland and passable (although I've enjoyed it more on a recent rewatch) and this looks like what I wanted that film to be. I wasn't really giving any shits about this before and now I'm genuinely excited for opening night, rather than just resigned to it being something I'll go see because it's Marvel.
