It's the big one this weekend! Will United take a step closer to finishing above City or will we lose another derby at Old Trafford?

Form would suggest the first thing but you can just never tell in a derby match.

QPR/Chelsea could be a bit tasty as well.

    Nice looking Super Sunday there.

What would it take to get Chelsea nervously looking over their shoulders?

Just a thought that if hypothetically QPR shock them on Sunday, and then they face Utd next weekend. I'm sure it won't happen but if they were to lose both and Utd and Arsenal won their next two we could have a situation of Chelsea on 70 points, Arsenal on 69, and Man Utd on 68... It would certainly make Arsenal v Chelsea at the Emirates the following weekend a huge match.

Whilst it would be foolish to predict anything other than Chelsea strolling over the line with games to spare, stranger things have happened than the results that would be needed to cause that situation to happen, where we would have three teams separated by 2 points at the top. And a showdown between Arsenal and Chelsea where the leader could change.

Can't wait for the derby, absolutely massive game.

So happy that in what's considered to be a hellish run of fixtures for us, we're 4 wins from 4 and not only looking certain of a return to CL footy, but somehow now in the hunt for second.

Think we can win this or atleast get something out of it.

RVP also officially ruled out for the game by Van Gaal today, thank god.

If ever we choke as bad as we did last week, we're bang in trouble again.

We always get spanked by Liverpool. No surprise there.

Business as usual at Sunderland, the fire alarm must have gone off again as they're rushing to the exits.

Fucking Pardew couldn't do that with us.

lads, put your money on Albion to get relegated before the odds drastically cut. This team are choking it big time and have a horrendous run-in.

Absolute garbage today, worse performance than the 4-1 against QPR. We just keep giving relegation threatened sides lifelines.

I'm off to Palace away next week, that'll be fun.

4 points i'd have thought should do it but we'll probably get 1 between now and the end of the season.

Re: Premier League Discussion - April 11th-13th

8 wins in a row now for Arsenal, no other team has managed that this season. This is title winning form we are playing at the moment. Coquelin shines again. 12 points clear of the Spuds. Arsenal's next PL game is at home against Chelsea. A draw in the Manchester derby gives us the best overall clearance of both teams. Anything but a United win is a good result for me. Man Utd have handled their tough run in well and I reckon they will beat City. Would be nice if QPR get a shock win at Chelsea but that's very unlikely to happen. Chelsea will obviously win the title, they have 2 games in hand. Even if Man Utd and Arsenal end up beating Chelsea, I still don't think a title run will be on for Arsenal. Just don't see Chelsea losing many games to slip up in the title race. Finishing 2nd would still be a great season for Arsenal.

    Arsenal's Premier League run-in
    Chelsea (H) 26 April
    Hull (A) 4 May
    Swansea (H) 11 May
    Manchester Utd (A) 17 May
    Sunderland (H) 20 May
    West Brom (H) 24 May

Gutted that Arsenal got the win. I don't support Burnley but I was born there, and my Southern brother-in-law is a massive Arsenal fan. Not going to hear the end of that when I see him next.

Tossing up whether or not I should stay up and watch United v City, kick-off is at 1AM here and I set off for work at 6:30. I really, reeeeally feel like I need to watch it though. So close to the end of the season, we need to stay above them. It'd be the perfect end to a season which everybody thought we'd finish mid-table.

idk if that's enough, We're sitting on 33 points now with better goal difference and I am not confident at all in that being enough. 35/36 is more what I'm thinking.

I see it as anyone from Sunderland down to be relegated, Villa are picking up the points again whereas everyone below them are in terrible form and just can't see us getting more than 34 points right now.

Re: Premier League Discussion - April 11th-13th

QPR and Leicester aren't in terrible form over the last couple of games tbf, Burnley have a pretty good run in and teams down there are playing each other, plus you get some weird results involving the bottom teams at this stage of the season(as Sunderland proved last year) I would say 36/37 points will be enough.

West Brom will be absolutely fine, the teams below you are not all going to do well enough to surpass you. Relax

Just switched on the Chelsea/QPR game, has it been any good so far?

    Can't wait for the derby!
