2014 PPV Of The Year - Ongoing Discussion

From Wrestlemania to Summerslam we have had some great PPV's this year but what are the contenders for PPV of the year?

I've been meaning to watch Wrestlemania back in full, but haven't gotten around to it yet. People tell me Taker Vs Lesnar is much better on the rewatch, and really that was really the only problem I had with the show watching live (not the result, but the match quality). Everything with Bryan is brilliant, the battle royal is one of the best battle royals I can remember and the result was a great surprise, Cena Vs Wyatt was good, the Shield didn't have good opponents but beating them in like 3 minutes was a lot of fun, and the opening promo with Hogan/Austin/Rock was the best way to open the show. I tell a lie there was something shit on the card, the Divas match was an absolute cluster fuck, but we were expecting it to be that way.

There's some iPPV from the G1 that are great, but I never really consider them to be PPVs.

    Wrestlemania XXX, no doubt.

Two great matches, so many great moments. There have been better shows in terms of wrestling (not many, but some), but none felt as special as Wrestlemania. That was everything that I want in a big show.

WrestleMania XXX is the front runner for me right now. So many legendary moments. Overall good match quality.

I can honestly say that I have never had anything I would call a bad blowjob, that wasn't a great experience but up until I started gushing blood I was having a great time!

The Daniel Bryan moment(s) as well as the great matches he was in as well as the end of the streak as well as a good supporting cast is putting Mania in pole position for me.

Mania is amazing and is still the front runner for me. Top five Mania for me with so many great moments as previously stated. Cesaro's moment is great but holy shit have they ruined that big time over the last five months.

Was that NOAH show the one with 'Fuji's title win or the March 8th show? March 8th was the better show imo though they're both really good. I think vol 1 would imply the March 8th. That was a heck of a show.

Wrestlemania's probably my favorite of the bunch but Luke's got a great point. I think my heart will really sink next time I watch the battle royal unless Cesaro's push heats back up. It was such a huge moment and the pop for him was incredible. Can't believe where he is just a few months later.

Really neither here nor there though. The show itself is phenomenal from start to finish.

This might be a dumb question, but because the noms now say "supercard", would you count the NXT specials in this category?

    Awesome!

Though even with how good some of the specials were, they're still kind of tough to fit in.

Can't put any special of Mania 30, but they're great and better than most PPVs
