2014 Heel Of The Year - Ongoing Discussion

Non wrestlers like Paul Heyman and Stephanie McMahon have got to be two of the favourites for the award this year but who would you consider the best heels this year?

    HEYMAN is GOD!

Seth Rollins deserves a mention but don't think he will get the award. Brock Lesnar could be a contender depending on what happens as well.

Well atleast no one has suggested HHH or Steph so far.

Heyman is a good shout but I think the Cesaro pairing goes against him. I'd actually vote for Brock. Heyman has done most of the hype and talking, but Brock has shined in every appearence he'd made. Shit, the dude did a backflip onto his his on a casket for Undertaker. Plus his promos are always money and he is one of few (only) guys left in the industry who has a 'can-t miss' aura around him.

Yeah Lesnar is a good shout. Such a spectacle. His sit down interviews are stellar and you need to see him whenever he's in a match.

Seth Rollins is my favourite full time heel. Great all round talent and so hateable with that rat voice.

Re: 2014 Heel Of The Year - Ongoing Discussion

To her credit Steph has turned into one of the better heels characters in the company and gets a lot of heat whatever city their in, but i don't care for a lot of what she's actually apart of because it's usually garbage and I don't care much for the heel authority figure in 2014.

Heyman is on another level, some of the promos he's cut with Lesnar have been amazing and should be enough to win this.

I've enjoyed Seth's character development since the breakdown of the Shield, he's a candidate for this award for sure.

Rusev and Lana have done well also in their cliched foreign heel monster/manager gimmick.

Once he turned, Batista became very good as a heel character during his run this year.

Seth Rollins right now would be my front runner. He has done fantastic in a role a lot of people thought would be better suited for Dean Ambrose, or someone else. He's been a great promo as well. Plus he's still getting "YOU SOLD OUT" nearly three months after the Shield split.

Heyman is a good shout of course but as Steve said, the time with Cesaro kind of hindered things that escalated stock for both men. Brock should be in consideration.

I just can't look past Heyman or Lesnar. I'd be fine with either one winning.

Re: 2014 Heel Of The Year - Ongoing Discussion

It's a damn shame when the best heels are either a manager, the owner's daughter, or a guy who shows up once every couple of months. WWE really needs to start developing top heels on there actual main roster like the guys that show up every week. Seth Rollins is the only fulltime wrestler who has any hope of being a top heel right now other than that there fucked. If they had a top heel showing up every week it would draw more fans and they wouldn't struggle in the ratings like they have been couldn't even pop a 4.0 rating this week.

Re: 2014 Heel Of The Year - Ongoing Discussion

I don't get how everybody is overlooking HHH. He's been a better heel than Stephanie Mcmahon he gave Daniel Bryan a huge rub. Beating HHH at WM30 felt bigger than winning the main event. HHH was doing brilliant heel work during his feud with Daniel Bryan and has done so since than as well. Stephanie is great but as a female talent you can only do so much as a heel because who are you going to give the rub too? Nikki Bella? HHH is the most impactful heel in the company behind Paul Heyman.

Brock Lesnar wins this by default. Because ending the streak is the holy grail of heel

    Cena :P

I'd argue Paul Heyman/Brock Lesnar as they basically ended/destroyed the one constant in the WWE. The Streak.

    Between four people for me.

Non-wrestlers Stephanie McMahon and Paul Heyman

Superstars Seth Rollins and Brock Lesnar.

Not quite sure how I am going to decide.

I'd say Seth Rollins has made a better case for himself recently, improving on the mic, and of course, being around a lot more than Heyman.

I'd have to say either Steph or Rollins could deservedly take this award but Rusev and Lana have been the best in my eyes
